Every once in a while, Ed. reminds me that we need to have some funny stuff now and then, not just rants about the usual subjects. Most of the news out of North America and Europe makes my blood boil, so it's good to find the occasional tidbit from elsewhere to put a smile on my grumpy puss. Here's a video clip from Australia that has done the trick for this week. They speak with Aussie accents, so listen carefully.
If you didn't quite get it, the young lady, Erica O'Donnell, was jogging in a Melbourne park when Seven Network's Michael Scanlan attempted to ask her a question about exercise practices. First he asked for her name, which she gave him.
Then he added, "Can you spell first and last?" Ms -O'Donnell replied, "F-I-R-S-T, L-A-S-T."
As the Aussies say... too right! Said Mr Scanlan, "You know, in a decade, no-one has done that."
