As we come to the end of the day, two thoughts...

Just watching the latest videos from America's cities, and am thinking... When is a riot not a riot? Answer: when the lamestream media say it's a "protest". Seems like there's a lot of protests going on this weekend... and entirely too much arson around...

Between the race riots -- for that's what they are -- and the corona virus, I see a bright future for funeral homes and coffin makers. Those stocks should be recession-proof too. Buy `em while they're hot, especially if you can find a manufacturer who's making the latest craze -- glass coffins!

And here are the BLMers and antifa types attacking their champions.

How come we never see them together?

Just checking out all the news that the lamestream media sees fit to print -- less than half of the real news -- and noted the headline "Trump ally Stone must surrender to prison by June 30". Yeah, well, so what... But then I looked at the accompanying picture and thought, where have I seen that guy before? And then it hit me...

"Quick!", I yelled at Ed. (We have to yell since we're doing the social distancing thing.) "Find me a photo of the villain from 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit'. Doesn't Roger Stone look like him?"
So disappointed, then, when Ed. replied, "I've seen that comparison made on the Net at least twice already. Check this out..."

Indeed. One of the men pictured above is "Trump ally Stone" and the other is Christopher Lloyd, as Judge Doom.
I hate when that happens. [When what happens? Ed.] When it turns out that there are other brilliant minds out there thinking of smart and funny things even before I do... Grrr...

NBC: "It's just a 'protest', not a 'riot'!"

Pictured above is a scene in Minneapolis showing people engaged in what the lamestream media -- particularly NBC -- tells us should be called a "protest", not a "riot", over this week's death-by-cop of George Floyd. While Twitter was busy flagging Still-President Trump's tweets on the "protests" for "inciting violence", NBC host Craig Melvin posted this tweet yesterday.

For readers who don't watch NBC/MSNBC, Walt should explain (in case you hadn't noticed) that Mr Melvin is a diversity hire, currently working as a bingo caller ["news anchor", shurely. Ed.] for NBC's Today and a co-host of Today Third Hour. Since the "protesters" seen smashing windows and making off with "liberated merchandise" from Target and other stores in Minneapolis are apparently "people of colour", like Mr Melvin hisself, he obviously wants to make sure that their actions are not mischaracterized by the evil racists at Breitbart, Fox News, or even his own network.

There's gonna be riotin', by George!

Won't even say "And so it begins." [But you just did. Ed.] As surely as day follows night, rioting and looting follow any death of an African-American at the hands of a white American cop. As it did in Minneapolis yesterday, following the death of George Floyd, a black man who claimed he was having trouble breathing because a law enforcement officer was kneeling on his neck.

A bystander's video of the incident on the city's south side captured the man, who was handcuffed at the time, the officers "Please, I can't breathe!" as he is pinned to the ground. The cops involved in the incident have not been identified, but Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey (Democrat) announced Tuesday afternoon that they had been "terminated". He didn't mean it in the sense that Mr Floyd was terminated, but rather that they were "no longer with the police department"... fired, ya know.

Enter Black Lives Matter, who hadn't been heard from in a while in spite of the violent deaths of 1000s of young black men across the USA and Canada, possibly because most of those deaths were at the hands of other YBM. Anyhoo, the usual "peaceful protests" broke out "spontaneously" yesterday, and quickly turned into a night of rioting and looting at a Target store and other businesses in the Lake St/Hiawatha Ave area. Fires sprang up as well, engulfing a mostly black housing complex nearby.

The reaction of local politicians has been as predictable as the rioting and looting. In a Tweet late last night, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz (Democrat) said, "The situation near Lake Street and Hiawatha in Minneapolis has evolved into an extremely dangerous situation." Duh!
Senator Tina Smith (D-MN) weighted in with "I'm praying for peace and healing tonight in Minneapolis, as I hear sirens and explosions across our green city. Our community is in so much pain. Dr King said, 'I can only close the gap in broken community by meeting hate with love.'"

Back to Mr Walz. The Gov added, "Our state watched George Floyd's humanity get erased. Our feelings of anger, anguish, and disillusionment are justified." He didn't actually identify the person(s) who might be the targets of the feelings of anger etc. He did go on the plead with othger unidentified persons, "If you plan to turn your pain into action by joining a public demonstration, please do so peacefully and safely to protect your own health and the health of the people around you." And remember to practise social distancing and wash your hands!

Finally, we go to state senators Jeff Hayden (D) and Patricia Torres Ray (D), who today issued a joint statement, as follows:
"We, along with our constituents, are deeply heartbroken and outraged by the injustice that occurred in the officer-involved death of George Floyd. As our community continues to grieve and grapple with this incredibly unjustifiable loss of life, we believe in their right to peacefully protest. We have grown increasingly concerned, for the safety of the City of Minneapolis and its residents, as the demonstration has escalated. More than ever, our community must come together during this hard time and in this work to fiercely advocate for the justice that is needed. We are eager to effectively partner with community organizers, leaders, activists, and advocates to prevent the loss of another life due to excessive use of force."

The "Reverend" Al Sharpton [Is he still alive? Ed.] is expected to jet into the Twin Cities today to add his voice of reason to the clamour. And the official anti-Trump line (for it's all his fault, you know) will be pronounced by Joy Behar and Whoopi Cushion on the View just before the noon news. Consult your local TV listings, as other viewing choices may be available.

Footnote: Walt's non-resident expert on American politics points out that the politicians named above (other than Tina Smith) are not actually Democrats, but members of the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party, a political formation peculiar to Minnesota which is somehow different from the national Democratic Party, although you may need a microscope to see the difference.

Wondering where all the new church music comes from?

Walt and other traditional Catholics have been complaining for half a century that the modern hymns and other alleged music used in the Novus Ordo mass in the "mainstream" churches is... not to put too fine a point on it... terrible. IMHO, there hasn't been any good church music written since the day the priests turned `round. (Older Catholics will know what I mean.)

The same complaint is heard in the mainstream Protestant churches, particularly the Episcopalians/Anglicans, Methodists [Do they still exist? Ed.], Lutherans and the like. The few who still attend services find their ears assaulted by 1000 different versions of "Kumbaya", meant to emphasize inclusivity, diversity and the rest of the New Age, we-are-all-one BS. God forbid that Christian music should suggest that ours is the One True Faith and that those who do not believe are somehow excluded from God's plan of salvation.

Corpus Christi attacker identified as... you'll never guess... will you?

Following Thursday's terrorist attack on the Naval Air Station at Corpus Christi TX, FBI Supervisory Senior Resident Agent Leah Greeves told the meeja she would not discuss a potential motive or specify what led investigators to believe the shooting was related to terrorism. Her exact words were, "We have determined that the incident at the Naval Air Station Corpus Christi is terrorism related. We are working diligently with our state, local and federal partners on this investigation, which is fluid and evolving."

Note that although Ms Greeves did force herself to say the T-word, she did not use any adjectives, such as, errr, "Islamic". Mustn't jump to conclusions... right? But hold on!



The suspect who was shot dead as he carried out the attack was identified by the FBI [The same FBI that Leah Greeves works for? Ed.] as a 20-year-old Syrian-born college student. Adam Salim Alsahli -- for it was he -- lived in Corpus Christi and was a business major at a local community college. A law enforcement official familiar with the investigation said Alsahli was a native of Syria who held American citizenship. How and when he got into the USA was not explained. [The word "refugee" springs to mind. Ed.]

Social media accounts matching Mr Alsahli's profile on Twitter, Facebook and WhatsApp featured support for hardline Islamist clerics, mostly from Saudi Arabia, and jihadi figures such as Ibrahim al-Rabaysh, who had been a spokesman for AQAP (al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula) who was killed by a US drone strike in 2015.

(((Rita Katz))), director of the SITE Intelligence Group, which monitors online activity of jihadists, claims that the late terrorist voiced support for hardline Islamic clerics on social media prior to the thwarted attack. She tweeted a translated version of a passage posted on Mr Alsahli's Twitter page, which read, "I love the Mujahidin [sic], I'm not one of them and my sword is aimed over the necks of whoever doubts them (stabs them)."

Nothing there like "Allahu akbar!", but I think was can say safely that Mr Alsahli was not on our side. He's been "neutralized" now, but there will be others....

Nonono! The CORPUS CHRISTI Naval Air Station... TODAY!

Seems like just yesterday [in fact it was day-before-yesterday. Ed.] that I drew your attention to the fact that the US government, in the person of Attorney General William Barr, conceded that the Saudi air force officer who shot up the Naval Air Station at Pensacola FL last June, killing three people and wounding another seven, was, in fact, an Islamic terrorist with links to AQAP (al-Qaeda in the Arabian Pensinsula).

Well, folks, it happened again. This morning. At the Naval Air Station at Corpus Christi TX. According to ABC News, the shooting unfolded at about 0615 CDT when a man sped through a gate, activating vehicle barriers which stopped the car. The driver then got out of the car and began shooting, wounding a security guard before being "neutralized" (military-speak for being shot dead).

A spokesthingy for the FBI tole the meeja, "We have determined that the incident this morning at the Naval Air Station Corpus Christi is terrorism related. They are working diligently with local, state and federal partners on the investigation, which is fluid and evolving." Wonder how they figured out it was "terrorism related"? Did someone hear the shooter yell "Alahu akbar!"?

The authorities have the shooter's car, obviously, but have not yet identified him. Not for publication, anyway. The FBI sez a second "person of interest may be at large." "May"? If you live in the vicinity, Walt suggests you keep your doors and windows locked, and beware of men who look like... errr... terrorists.

Pensacola shooter was an Islamic terrorist! No kidding??!!

Nearly a year after "a man" opened fire inside a classroom at the US Naval Air Station at Pensacola FL, killing three people and wouding another seven, Attorney General William Barr told a presser yesterday that in the months leading up to the attack, "the man" (aka Mohammed Saeed Alshamrani) communicated with al-Qaeda operatives about planning and tactics. Imagine that!!!

Why do you think the authorities, who had at first refused to utter the words "terrorism" or "Islamic" (even though they knew Mr Alshamrani was a Saudi air force officer), were until now not able to make the connection which occurred to Walt that very day?

According to Mr Barr, it was Apple's fault, for failing to help the lawmen open the shooter's phones so they could access key evidence. When they did, they discovered contacts between the Mohammedan [aka Muslim. Ed.] and operatives of al-Qaeda. Again, imagine that!!!

Said Mr Barr, “We now have a clearer understanding of Alshamrani's associations and activities in the years, months and days leading up to his attack." The phones revealed contact between Mr Alshamrani and "dangerous" operatives from al-Qaeda in the Arabian Pensinsula, or AQAP, that continued until shortly before the shooting. They also revealed that he had been radicalized since at least 2015, before he arrived in the USA, and had meticulously planned the attack.

According to FBI Director Chris Wray, the attack was "the brutal culmination of years of planning and preparation." Mr Alshamrani created minicam videos as he cased a military school building, and saved on his phone a will that purported to explain himself. AQAP released that document soon after the shooting, when it claimed responsibility for it, but at that time, US officials said they were still "investigating".

Asked whether al-Qaeda had directed or inspired the attacks, Mr Wray said it was "certainly more than just inspired." Law enforcement officials had previously left no doubt that Alshamrani was motivated by jihadist ideology, saying he visited a New York City memorial to the attacks of 9/11 over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend and posted anti-American and anti-Israeli messages on social media just hours before the shooting. Yet throughout the presser, neither Mr Barr nor Mr Wray actually used the words "Islamic" or "Islamist" or "Muslim". Strange, isn't it?

Ed.] If we right-thinking people stay home, that just leaves the field clear for the liberals who have wrecked our economies and our countries to solve a "crisis" which they induced.

"Allahu akbar!" at home in Afghanistan -- dozens, including newborns, killed

For the last couple of months, the Covid-19 "crisis", aka the Dempanic, as been not just the top story in our (((controlled media))), but, it would seem, the only story. They are so busy signalling virtue and pointing fingers that they have no time or space to report on threats to our way of life greater than those posed by the corona virus or the Chinese.

I refer to the militant Muslims, the Islamic terrorists whose aim is to kill us infidels -- all of us -- and conquer the world for Allah and his prophet, Mohammed.

That the jihadis have not been more active in North America and Europe of late is due in no small part to the closing of borders, following the lead given by Still-President Trump. But just because the terrorists have to stay at home doesn't mean that they've declared a "pauses" in their activity. Instead, they are killing other citizens of their shithole countries -- the ones that don't share their particular brand of the "Religion of Peace" (TM).

Just this week, militant Islamists attacked a maternity hospital -- let me say that again: maternity hospital -- in beautiful downtown Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan. They killed 23 people, including two newborn babies, their mothers and an unspecified number of nurses. In the photo you see an Afghan soldier carrying in his arms the body of a dead baby.

Why would the jihadis attack a materntiy hospital? Because it's in Dashti Barchi, a mostly Shiite neighbourhood. The jihadis, you see, are Sunni Muslims. [Didn't Canuck PM Justin Trudeau say, "Sunni ways, my friends... Sunni ways."? Ed.] So the mothers were giving birth to little Muslims, OK, but not the right kind of Muslims!

No-one immediately claimed responsibility for the attack, but both the Taliban and the Islamic State frequently target Afghan military and security forces in Kabul, as well as civilians. The Taliban denied they were involved. In the past, most of the attacks in Dashti Barchi were carried out by ISIS. "Allahu akbar!!!"

Afghan and US officials have been telling us for months now that the ISIS affiliate in Afghanistan has been weakened as a result of relentless American bombing raids on the group's stronghold in eastern Nangarhar province, as well as military operations by Afghan security forces and attacks by ISIS' rivals, Taliban insurgents.

If you believe that, consider the evidence of a separate attack on the same day, in which a suicide bomber targeted the funeral in Khewa district of a local pro-government militia commander and former warlord who had died of a heart attack Monday night. 24 mourners were killed and  68 wounded.

The dead included Abdullah Lala Jan, a provincial council member, while his father Noor Agha, a lawmaker, was wounded in the attack. In a statement posted online late Tuesday, the Islamic State group claimed responsibility for the bombing.

And so it goes. Cradle to grave, the Islamic terrorists are determined to get ya! Yesterday Afghanistan, tomorrow... who knows?

Anyway, what I put there is a quote from "Surviving the CLICHE-19 pandemic", by the estimable Terence Corcoran, one of the better typists at the Financial Post.

His column today is an excellent piece of satire, comprised of choice examples of the never-ending stream of mush that flows out of the mouths of our "leaders" in this time of a global crisis worse than any in the historyof mankind... Oops, now I'm doing it. I recommend that you read Mr Corcoran's piece for yourself, if only to get to the conclusion, which is:

Anastasia Lin, seen here speaking in a debate at the Oxford Union in early Febraruy, is a beauty queen. She was born in China, in Hunan province, and came to Canada with her parents at age 13. The People's Republic of China doesn't allow dual citizenship, so when Ms Lin became a citizen, she lost the right to return to China, even for a visit, without a visa. When she was crowned Miss World Canada in 2015, she applied for a visa to compete for the world title in China, but the Communist authorities denied her application. Dontcha want to know why?

The 30-year-old Chinese-Canadian actress has been speaking for years about the Chinese Communists' worldwide propaganda and influence operations, and its countless human rights abuses, including the persecution of Chinese Christians, about which Walt has written numerous times, most recently "Chinese Commies won't allow 'Patriotic Catholic' churches to re-open" (28/4/20). Ed. here. Walt Whiteman's World has been existed and persisted and resisted for well over ten (count `em, 10) years now. Never, in all that time have we posted a cute cat video. That's because "cute cat" is an oxymoron, and because I'm an ailurophobe. Walt just hates the critters. But Agent 6, who likes cute pussies (his is called Leo) sent us the link to this one, which is too well done to go unseen.



How did they do that? Walt speculates -- a filthy habit -- that they shot it frame by frame, using a dead cat which was cleverly repositioned, ever so slightly, for each shot. Does the RSPCA know about this?

We can't handle this any longer! The pressure to end the lockdown resulting from the mad (as in "crazy") panic over Covid-19, is mounting, with even such ultra-liberals as Bill Maher lecturing CNN to stop with the fake news over the Biggest Media Hoax Ever.

In "Lockdown Meltdown", Michael Matt, editor of The Remnant newspaper, explains how the global lockdown has done the impossible -- united conservatives with Catholic cardinals and bishops and inspired them to publicly stand together against the purveyors of the errors of Russia, while also attracting the attention of prominent political figures, evangelical Christians, even orthodox Jews, to what was heretofore a primarily traditional Catholic counterrevolution.



"This is not a time," Mr Matt says, "for traditional Catholics to go on defence. M-103 in force! Ontario school councillor fired for questioning special rules for Muslims during Covid-19 "crisis"

As mentioned here before (click the "M-103" tag below to find previous posts) the Democratic Republic of Canuckistan has a quasi-law -- more of a "suggestion" passed by the Liberal-dominated Parliament, you see -- requiring people to say only nice things, not negative things, about members of different "faith communities". Especially Muslims... Islam being the only "faith community" specifically mentioned.

In Brampton ON, a mixed (South Asian and black) ghetto northwest of Toronto, a school councillor has lost his position after posting what has been called an "Islamophobic" tweet. Ravi Hooda, who, errr, not a Muslim, a real estate agent and a school council chair, was fired from the latter position yesterday after tweeting a reply to Brampton Mayor Patrick Brown, who announced in April that an amendment to the city's anti-noise bylaw would allow mosques to play the Muslim call to prayer on speakers five times per day during Ramadan. This is what Mr Hooda wrote:

Having the temerity to point out some of the "diversity" to which other members of the community object turned out to be a Big CLM (career-limiting move) for the unfortunate Mr Hooda. The Peel District School Board say the post was disturbing and said he will no longer be able to serve on or participate in the school council in any capacity. He has also lost his position with RE/MAX, but, as far as we know, still has his real estate licence. Should he set up his own brokerage, he will surely get lots of listings from people worried about what's happening to their `hood. In Brampton, it seems, diversity is not considered a community's strength!

Just In Trudeau, the Arch-virtue-signaller of Canuckistan, said in yesterday's sermon that there will be no enquiry into his misgovernment's response to the Coronacrisis until it is over. And when will that be? When the Canadian Broadcorping Castration says so, perhaps.

Meanwhile, in the Excited States of America, citizens protesting their loss of liberty have taken to the streets -- something Canadians never do -- to demand that the Karens in charge of state and local governments allow them to go back to work (and play... whatever...) before the economy collapses completely.

So... now that our hair-on-fire leaders have virtually destroyed the North American economy dealing with a Dempanic over what has proven to be a mere blip in our countries' mortality statistics, let's examine what we've learned so far about Covid-19.

• It spreads in churches, but not in Walmarts
• Government is essential, but businesses are not...
• except for liquor stores and pot shops, which are essential services
• Going to parks and beaches is deadly...
• but if you're a politician you can go wherever you want
• Mother Earth is mad at us for fouling our own nest
• but we can make amends by ceasing all economic activity 
• and thus committing mass suicide.
