Waiting for the 8th - Looking for GOP wins in Arizona
As I said on Friday, the Democrats are pulling out all the stops to prevent electoral disaster -- the loss of both the state house and a Senate seat -- in Arizona. They can see that the Republicans have momentum [catchword of the year. Ed.]. But don't take my word for it. Consider this report which appeared on Friday on the Clinton News Network.
Republican momentum in Arizona deepens Democratic worries over Senate
Nowhere in the country has the struggle between election denialists and democracy defenders [The phrase "election denialists and democracy defenders" perfectly encapsulates the Dumbocrat party line. Only they are the champions of democracy while those who think they stole the 2020 election are in denial. Walt] played out in more vivid detail than in Arizona, where Democratic Sen. Mark Kelly’s ability to hold off late momentum from Trump-backed GOP nominee Blake Masters will be key to Democrats’ hopes of defending their narrow Senate majority.
Now running for a full six-year term, Kelly – a retired astronaut and the husband of former Rep. Gabby Giffords – entered the race in an enviable position as a formidable fundraiser with a personal brand that lent him bipartisan appeal in Arizona, where a third of the electorate are independents. But the economic headwinds facing Democrats, as well as President Joe Biden’s low approval ratings, [!!! Walt] have complicated his political fortunes.
Republicans need a net gain of just one seat to pick up control of the Senate on Tuesday, and Democrats are already on defense in Nevada, Georgia and New Hampshire. Arizona has emerged as one of the most important battleground states in the nation – not only for Senate and governor this year and likely the next presidential contest – but also because it is the fulcrum of key demographic changes that are testing the reach of both parties.
As I said, the Dumbocrats are shit-scared. So they brought out the big guns, not just the Prez, obviously annoyed to be awoken from his retirement slumber, but Hellery Clinton. How desperate do you have to be to think that adding their shrill voice to the democracy-is-doomed chorus will save the furniture for Mr Kelly and their gubernatorial candidate, Katie Hobbs. Listen to what Ms Lake and Mr Masters had to say, in conversation with Sean Hannity.
Walt predicts a win for Kari Lake. As for the state house, you pick `em. Lifetime pct .988. I'll see you on the beach.

Obama not crazy about leading Dem presidential candidates
Which of these potential losers does former President Barack Hussein Obama support? In "Waiting for Obama", Politico reveals that the Prez isn't crazy about any of them, and once warned that he would intervene to stop Senator Bernie Sanders from winning the Democratic presidential nomination.
The title of the Politico piece -- "Waiting for Obama" -- is an infra-dig reference to a spoof that appeared in Garry Trudeau's [no relation to Mr Socks. Ed.] Doonesbury comic strip back in 1987. For a week, two characters in the strip discussed their hopes for Mario Cuomo to announce his intention to become the primary candidate for the Democratic party nomination for the 1988 election. The burden of the Politico piece seems to be that President Obama thinks he would do better against Still-President Trump than any of the wannabes who are covertly seeking his endorsement. Some of them, he thinks, could destroy the Dumbocrats through their calls for radical change to America's social and political systems in the name of "social justice". His warnings are seen as a swipe at candidates like Senators Sanders and Elizabeth Warren.
Politico claims the Prez has said in private he'd speak out against Mr Sanders if it looked like he could actually win. "Back when Sanders seemed like more of a threat than he does now, Obama said privately that if Bernie were running away with the nomination, Obama would speak up to stop him," the report says. However, the report quotes an Obama spokesthingy as saying the former president has stated that he would get behind the Democratic nominee regardless of who it is.
One adviser said that while they personally had no knowledge of this, the threat of a Sanders nomination would likely be cause for action. "I can't really confirm that," the adviser said, regarding the possibility of Obama trying to stop Sanders. "He hasn't said that directly to me. The only reason I'm hesitating at all is because, yeah, if Bernie were running away with it, I think maybe we would all have to say something. But I don't think that's likely. It's not happening."
It's not just Mr Sanders that the Prez dislikes. He's against the other, lesser-known, farther-out candidates too. At an Obama Foundation Summit event in October, the founder took aim at political "wokeness" and cancel culture. Weeks later, at a gathering of the Democracy Alliance, Mr Obama warned 2020 Democratic presidential hopefuls that most voters do not want to "tear down the system."
Mr Obama dismissed far-left positions as not being popular among average Americans, even if they make waves on social media. "Even as we push the envelope and we are bold in our vision," he said, "we also have to be rooted in reality and the fact that voters, including the Democratic voters and certainly persuadable independents or even moderate Republicans, are not driven by the same views that are reflected on certain, you know, left-leaning Twitter feeds."
The same Politico report talks about Mr Obama's relationship with Creepy Joe Biden, whom he has not yet endorsed, despite Mr Biden's having served as vice president in the Obama administration, routinely touting on the stump their "special relationship". That's not how the Prez tells it. Politico says Mr Obama recalled to one candidate who came to him for advice how he himself had a bond with the voters that has since faded. He reportedly added, "And you know who really doesn’t have it? Joe Biden."So who's left? Ryan Lizza, author of the Politico report, writes: "Over the next year, Obama, according to his closest advisers, will start to emerge with slightly bolder colors. The boldest might be riding into a battle unfolding on his own side, if he did lead a potential stop-Bernie campaign. But absent that unlikely development, one adviser suggested that Obama could also be pulled into the primary and forced to play a major role if Democrats failed to pick a nominee before the convention."
"A major role"? Such as what? The Prez can't be the Democratic candidate because Americans already made the same mistake twice. But there's nothing to bar his lovely and fragrant wife from accepting a draft, especially in a brokered convention. Michelle Obama is female (check), black (check), "woke" (check) and (most important) not any of those others. You read it here first!

VIDEO: The faces of the unhinged mob that is the "Democratic" left
The future promises... or threatens... more of the same. That's the message of a 57-second spot released yesterday by the Republica National Committee. The video features such leading Democrats as Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) and Representatives Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and "Mad Maxine" Waters (D-CA), former Attorney General Eric Holder, and, of course, Hellery Clinton.
What you saw are scenes of an unhinged mob, incited to violence by the champions of democracy and free speech... as long as you agree with them. If you want to hand the reigns of power to those people, vote Democratic in next month's mid-term elections. If not, don't be intimidated! For sanity, law and order, vote Republican!

VIDEO: Hillary Clinton's Farewell Speech
Yes, Leo, we can certainly help you with that. In fact, we can do even better. Here, complete and uncut, is... Hillary Clinton's Farewell Speech.
OK, it's a bit short and there's no title or credits, and sorry about the video quality, but that's really Mrs Bill Clinton, giving (via a live feed from New York) closing remarks at the Makers Conference in Los Angeles earlier this week. It sure sounds to us like we won't be hearing from her any more -- a consummation devoutly to be wish'd. You're welcome.

Oprah for President in 2020?
Well... why not? Who else have the Democrats got? Nancy Pelousy? Joe Hasbin? Bob Eager? Obviously they can't run Hellery Clinton again, so those wonderful folks who brought you "Hillary 2016" last night floated a trial balloon -- a large one -- for a run by one of the World's Richest Women. She war born in the USA -- no "birther" problem there -- on the wrong side of the tracks (check) and is 100% black, not just black-when-necessary-but-not-necessarily-black, like the last Democrat to occupy the Oval Office.
Oprah is also a certified ["certifiable"? Ed.] gliberal, with hyuge media exposure, just like the other one... Whoopie something-or-other. She's also a member of one of America's most bullied minorities -- the chronically overweight. Of course she's never held elected office, but just over a year ago President Trump proved that needn't be a hindrance. In fact, in an interview with Larry King some years ago, The Donald said Ms Winfrey was a great woman, yada yada yada, and might make a good running mate for Himself.
The idea of Oprah Winfrey running for the presidensity sounds to me like a Hollywood liberal dream. I watched the enraptured crowd at the Golden Globes [I always thought that referred to part of a leading lady's anatomy. Ed.] last night, and that's what I saw -- the Hollywood liberal establishment. Lots of (((Jews))) (but no (((Harvey Weinstein)))) and lots of empowered women, but almost no persons of colour (that I could see) or California Republicans (an endangered species).
The people practically wetting themselves when the heavily bespectacled Queen of Spades ["Queen of Daytime TV", shurely! Ed.] started ranting about revolution are the same people who told Americans to vote for Hellery Clinton, and threatened to move to Canada if she lost. She did; they didn't. That's all ye know and all ye need to know.
Don't know where this one (above) originated, but I saw it on Blazing Cat Fur, always good for a laugh at the lefties' expense.
