President Trump has renamed Lake Ontario (he thinks), and now...

Scraped from Patriot Post. And that's the ABF meme on DJT's ridiculous war on America's best friends... ABF for this month, that is.

ABF comment from Walt: Unless you're Jerry Seinfeld or Bill Burr, when people start laughing e3very time you open your mouth, you're finished.

MUSIC VIDEO: "Lake America? No, EH!"

Wut, another music video? Yes, but this one is political, and right on point with President Trump's apparent descent into lunacy. This is "Lake Ontario", an official anthem of the Canadian Resistance Army.

Thanks and a tip of the conical chapeau to Agent 78 for giving us the link to this one.

Winning? Looks to us like Trump has finally jumped the shark

Trump Says Grocery Bills Should Drop
After He Renames a Few More Things 'America'
That's the Babylon Bee's headline accompanying this photo. Click here to read their article, the gist of which is "The cost of groceries will fall like you won't believe," and everything will be just peachy-keen from here on out. It's satire, of course, but think about this...

If well over half of a politician's constituents, and over 90% of the rest of the world, are laughing at him, is he winning or losing?

Regular readers of WWW know that Walt was a strong suporter of DJT's bids for election and re-election. We liked the idea of Making America Great Again, and wished President Trump good luck. But even then, we took him cum grano salis

Now we can only avert our gaze as he makes a fool of himself and of the US of A on the world's stage. It's embarrassing. And we can't even advise the Donald to quit while he's ahead, because... he's not ahead. He's losing. And it can only get worse.

MUSIC VIDEO: "Always look on the bright side of life"

Ed. tells me I need to get out of my funk. At least I think "funk" was the word he used... something like that... so I've been searching the Net for something cheerful and came up with this delightful music video.

This should appeal to President Trump, since I hear he has called a halt to war games with South Korea, in order to show good will to North Korea, whose Dear Leader is (DJT sez) his great and good fiend friend. So let's watch this with great feelings of everlasting comradeship and happy happy joy joy.

To our American readers and friends...

Today, July 4th, we enter the second quarter of the American Millennium. What? Too soon? Too aspirational? Too optimistic? Well, how about this...

Today, July 4th, we are roughly a year and a half into the second presidency of Donald J. Trump. Is America Great Again yet? Errr, maybe we'd better not go there. This 250th anniversary of Independence should be a day which everyone, even those suffering from terminal TDS, can celebrate. So...

Is it over yet? Really?

Like you, dear reader, Walt has been holding his breath [and his tongue. Ed.] waiting for some resolution to the war declared by the United States of America on the Islamic Republic of Iran. Let's not shy away from calling it what it is.

I was hoping for someting like the raising of the Stars and Stripes over Kharg Island, but that doesn't look like happening. What we have instead is a Memorandum of Understanding -- not a peace treaty, not an agreement, just an MoU -- the contents of which will be revealed on Friday when the scrap of paper is to be signed in Geneva.

The intent, we're told, is to put an end to the present situation which is neatly summed up in this cartoon scraped from PatriotPost.

Mark Carney, Prime Minister of Canuckistan, weighed in yesterday from the G7 gabfest on the likelihood of lasting peace (or anything like it) being achieved  He said the conflict, which has cost entire world trillions of dollars, directly and indirectly, would be "worth it" if it means Iran does not have a nuclear weapon. That's a pretty big "if"!

Mr Carnage told the Clinton News Network "I've always believed that [Iran is] the biggest exporter of terror. It was hell-bent, sorry if I can say that, on getting a nuclear weapon, and the force multiplier on that was terrible."

Later he added, "Lots needs to happen. We all have to support (the deal). But moving to this position, where that’s been taken off the table. Yes, that’s worth it."

The deal he referred to, announced by POTUS on the weekend, so far is nothing more than the extenension of the existing ceasefire for another 60 days, during which all sides will negotiate details of a final agreement. In other words, the US of A and Iran have agreed to agree, after further negotiation.

Further details of the MoU, which Vice-President Vance described as "about a page and a half" have yet to be released publicly. The Canuck PM (who is, let's not forget, one of the senior members of the Davos gang) said he has seen the deal, which he called it a "game-changer. I have to say it's exceeded my expectations. We’re very pleased with the deal that’s been struck."

He added, "It sets the groundwork to ensure Iran doesn’t have a nuclear weapon. It sets the groundwork for a reintegration over time of the economies in the region. It sets the groundwork for a solution in Lebanon, which we discussed today. So, it's positive." Pressed by CNN for further details, Carney said it is "well-structured" and performance-based with financial incentives. In other words, it's good for world trade and the New World Order.

Before Mr. Carnage and the his European cronies get in a circle for some fellatory activity, they should listen to Iran's top diplomat, who said yesterday that the deal would require Israel to withdraw from Lebanon, which Israel has already said it will not do. And there's bound to be a lot more of the devil in the details of the MoU, which Iran will surely use as an excuse to renege on the agreement to discuss an agreement. Walt sez: We're far from home and dry. No need to stay tuned. Lifetime pct .967.

VIDEO: Farewell then, Stephen Colbert

Winning the war against fake news and the controlled media!

CBS News Radio (previously known as CBS Radio News), historically a part of the CBS Radio network, was a radio network that at its peak provided its version of the news to more than 1000 radio stations throughout the United States.

Note Walt's use of the past tense. Yesterday evening, the network, owned by Paramount Skydance Corporation and its predecessors, pulled the plug... hit the kill switch... on CBS News Radio. So today we have two fewer woke, anti-Trump voices to tell us not to believe what we can see with our own eyes.

But wait (as Vince Offer used to say), there's more! Other voices of the lickspittle media are teetering on the brink. Since the beginning of 2026, along with the cuts at CBS, the Washington Post also laid off a third of its staff. The Associated Press offered buyouts to over 120 journalists. And CBS parent company Paramount has also acquired the Clinton News Network, aka CNN.

Ted Johnson, politics and media editor for entertainment trade publication Deadline. opined that "all of these news sources have been kind of overshadowed by the growth of opinion voices, whether that's in podcasts or on cable news or in streaming. He did not explain why people have simply stopped listening to "legacy" news outlets.

WINNING! "The war is over!" POTUS orders 5000 troops back to USA

Just ahead of next week's 81st anniversary of V-E Day, President Trump announed that 5000 American troops will be withdrawn from Germany. "We won the war!" POTUS said. "The Krauts will never be able to have nuclear weapons -- not ever! Our mission of making the world a safer place is accomplished. So our brave men and women and others can come home to the welcome they deserve!"

In social media posts on Thursday, President Trump said German chancellor Friedrich Merz was "doing a terrible job" and had "problems of all kinds", including on immigration and energy, but that the US of A was tired of helping them and wouldn't waste any more money and lives doing so. The President has also suggested pulling American troops from Italy and Spain.

In a statement, Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell said the order to remove American troops from Germany had come from Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth. "This decision follows a thorough review of the Department's force posture in Europe and is in recognition of theatre requirements and conditions on the ground," he said. "We expect the withdrawal to be completed over the next six to twelve months."

German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius told the German Press Agency in Berlin that "the presence of American soldiers in Europe, and particularly in Germany, is in our interest and in the interest of the US." He added that the American withdrawal from Europe and also from Germany "foreseeable".

Reichskanzler Merz [no relation to Fred Mertz of the old I Love Lucy show. Ed.] added "Auf wiedersehen, sweethearts!"

Stupid Iranian mullahs don't know when they're beaten

I saw this today on Breitbart News.

Here, unedited, are the first two paragraphs of the BN article.

President Donald Trump is “prepared to unleash hell” if Iran refuses to “come to a deal,” the White House warned Wednesday, cautioning that the regime “should not miscalculate again” after suffering devastating battlefield losses, as U.S. forces — including Marines and elements of the 82nd Airborne Division — deploy to the Middle East to support combat operations against Iran.

Speaking at a White House briefing, press secretary Karoline Leavitt said the president remains willing to listen as talks with Tehran continue, but stressed the regime is now being given a final opportunity to accept the reality of its battlefield defeat and come to terms.

Let me see if I've got this straight. President Trump, who not long ago said the American-Israeli war on Iran would be over when he "feels" that it's over, now has that feeling. He's saying the good guys (that's us!) have won. Right? So he's declaring victory (see WWW 23/3/26) and we can get back to Making America Great Again! Right?

Forgive me, but I don't hear anyone else saying it's all over. The mad mullahs of Tehran certainly aren't saying so, and keep lobbing missiles into Israel and other neighbouring countries. The Israelis aren't sayinig so and are pushing an actual boot-on-the-ground invasion of Lebanon. America's allies (read: fairweather friends) aren't saying so.

There seems to be some cognitive dissonance here. The mullahs don't get that they've lost, and, may the Donald forgive me, I don't see that we've won. That's why I haven't said anything much for the last few days. I'm waiting for something conclusive to conclude the conclusion of an ill-advised war. Dear reader, if you hear any such thing, please let me know!

TOO MUCH! even for the Donald

From Breitbart News. Walt sez: Oh c'mon Chief! You weren't even born then. She wasn't even born then! Neither was she! And Japanese Prime Minister Takaichi Sanae is conservative, pro-American, and an all-round good person to have on our side. Don't be making jokes that are actually insults. Show a little class!

BREAKING: Trump tells Iran "FAFO"

Not a great way to start the day. I was awakened at sparrow fart by the distant whine of the Fort Mudge air raid siren. Seems that Chief Wiggum, who's in charge of the device, had misinerpreted the news flash on the radio and was warning the populace that Iran was attacking the US of A. In fact it's the other way around.

It's actually the mad mullahs who rule the Islamic Republic of Iran who need to keep their eyes to the skies, as President Donald Trump told the Iranian armed forces to lay down their arms or face "certain death." FAFO!

POTUS also urged the Iranian people to rise up and "seize control of your destiny" as "major" joint American-Israeli strikes against Tehran commenced overnight.

Why is this happening? Because, after months of palaver, the Islamists refuse to accept limits on their development of nuclear technology. They say it's for peaceful purposes, because, as is well known, Islam is the Religion of Peace(TM).  American security experts, however, think that the Iranians mean to bring peace to the Middle East by nuking Israel. Just a thought, of course.

Announcing the strikes to eliminate "imminent threats from the Iranian regime" which "directly endangers the United States, our troops, our bases overseas, and our allies throughout the world," President Trump said, "A short time ago, the United States Military began major combat operations in Iran."

The strikes are intended to destroy Iran's stockpiles of missiles and to "obliterate" Iran’s missile production industry, the President said. The intent, he explained,  is to prevent Iranian nuclear-tipped long-range missiles from ever threatening the American mainland or America’s allies in Europe.

This is also about bringing regime change to the Islamic Republic. President Trump called on the armed forces, paramilitary, and police of Iran to lay down their weapons. If they did so they would receive "complete immunity" and be treated fairly, he said, but else would face "certain death".

POTUS also called on the Iranian people to take this opportunity to rise up against the government, stating "the hour of your freedom is at hand" and they would not likely get another second chance. "Stay sheltered," he said, "Don’t leave your home, it’s very dangerous outside. Bombs will be dropping everywhere. When we are finished, take over your government. It will be yours to take. This will, probably be your only chance for generations… now is the time to seize control of your destiny."

VIDEO: America: always ready for war and golf (George Carlin)

It's been seven months and a day since President Trump signed an executive order changing the Defense Department's name to the Department of War as a "secondary title". Walt is not sure exactly what that means, but it does give some insight into the current administration's priorities... I guess.

The order — the 200th signed by POTUS since taking office — authorizes Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and DOD subordinate officials to use secondary titles like "Department of War," "Secretary of War" and "Deputy Secretary of War" in public communications, official correspondence, ceremonial contexts and non-statutory documents within the executive branch.

Additionally, the order directs all executive agencies and departments to "recognize and accommodate these secondary titles in internal and external communications," as well as instructing Secretary Hegseth to recommend actions — including executive and legislative actions — that would be required to permanently rename the department.

"The name 'Department of War' conveys a stronger message of readiness and resolve compared to 'Department of Defense,' which emphasizes only defensive capabilities," says the fact sheet issued by the White House last September 5th. "Restoring the name 'Department of War' will sharpen the focus of this department on our national interests and signal to adversaries America's readiness to wage war to secure its interests."

The usual suspects were quick to blame President Trump for suddenly making America warlike, as if this were not a pre-existing condition. That's George Carlin's point in the first minute or so of this video.

Well yeah, most of the video wasn't about America's unslakeable thirst for war. Most of it (as you'll find out by watching it if you haven't already done so) is about the crisis of homelessness, something else that the left blames on POTUS but which was growing exponentially as early as 1992, when this video was made.

I was struck, listening to this, by Mr Carlin's prescience. One of his recommendations was to change the name of the condition, because of the stigma attached to the word "homeless". The people sleeping in our streets (he says) are not "homeless". They don't have is not homes but houses

So the first thing to do (he says) is change the descriptor. And lo and behold, 33 years later, there are no homeless people. Listen to the lickspittle media. Those people defecating and otherwise befouling your neighbourhood parkette aren't "homeless". They are "unhoused"! Something should be done! Definitely!

A Thanksgiving message

No political message this year (although we did like President Trump's remarks as he pardoned the turkeys), just a simple wish from Walt, Poor Len [and Ed.! Ed.] to our American readers and/or friends...

Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good: and His mercy endureth for ever.

VIDEO: "Quiet, Piggy!" What happens after Epstein files released?

Gosh, folks, what's going to happen once the Epstein files are released? This excellent editorial cartoon was added by PatriotPost to the Babylon Bee story, which appeared 15/11/25. Walt concurs. Lifetime pct .987.

VIDEO: The Canadian ad featuring President Reagan that President Trump doesn't want Americans to believe

Dear American readers, How do you feel about all the tariffs which President Trump has slapped on America's trade partners, particularly Canada? Are they making America stronger? More prosperous? Great again? Is the price which you personally are paying for protectionism worth it?

President Trump is in a snit because the government of Ontario put together a TV spot, using clips from a speech televised in 1987, in which the last conservative president to occupy the White House says that tariffs are not helpful but hurtful to the American people. Check this out.

Yesterday, while en route to gabfests with assorted Asian leaders in Malaysia and South Korea, POTUS said that, because of the ad, which he called "fake", he's ending all talks with Canada over the ad. But wait (as Vince Offer used to say), there's more. "Because of their serious misrepresentation of the facts, and hostile act," he told the meeja on Air Force One, "I am increasing the Tariff on Canada by 10% over and above what they are paying now."

What did you see in the ad that could have triggered the Donald's ire? To me, it sounds as if President Reagan is in favour of free trade, and against tariffs, which he called "an outdated notion." Did I not hear correctly?

What's the point of getting even tougher on America's biggest trading partner? With Canada already under a US base tariff rate of 35%, the impact of President Trump’s latest gut-punch isn't immediately clear.

The 35% rate doesn't apply to most Canadian goods because of an exemption for products and shipments made within the rules of the US-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA). Steel and aluminum products aren't covered by that waiver, and Canadian-made cars and trucks are only partially eligible for exemption from the 25% tariffs on most foreign autos.

Marx Carnage, the prime minister of Canuckistan, has been engaged in protracted talks with the US of A to lower the levies and has already lowered his elbow to knee-level. [I assume Canuck readers will get that one. Ed.] After speaking to Mr Carnage, Ontario Premier Doug Ford said the province will pause its ad campaign tomorrow, now that the ads have been seen by millions of Americans, including President Trump, when they interrupted the World Series.

But the damage has been done. The clash has reignited uncertainty between two partners that exchanged $900 billion in goods and services last year and have closely interwoven supply chains for major industries. IMHO, the ongoing trade war benefits no-one, no-one. Let the man who authored The Art of the Deal get on with some sesrious deal-making.

UPDATED: Chicago to find out why it's now called the War Department

On NBC's Meet the Press this morning, Host Kristen Welker said, "President Trump shared this on his social media account directed at Chicago, 'I love the smell of deportations in the morning and Chicago about to find out why it is called the Department of War.' Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker called it a threat. Would you call it a threat?"

Maryland Governor Wes Moore (Democrat), to whom the question was directed, called the President's social media post a “threat” that was both "embarrassing and performative." Readers are invited to suggest who might have been embarrassed by what we would call a promise... and who will be embarrassed when Chicago goes a whole weekend without anyone getting killed by gunfire!

UPDATE added 8/9/25: According to Breitbart News, the toll of those shot and killed/wounded this weekend in Chicago is 19 shot, 7 killed, in the city that its mayor, Brandon Johnson ["You doesn't have to call me Johnson!" Ed.] and Illinois governor J.B. Pritzker don't think needs any help with its little problem.

"Trump is not my President!" -- a rational analysis

Even if you're one of the 1000s of non-citizen illegal aliens who were ineligible to vote in the 2024 election, but voted anyway, Donald J. Trump is still your President!
