Alberta Referendum: The Canadian version of Texas votes to remain in Canada but restrict immigration and non-citizens' "rights"

Dawn is breaking in Alberta and votes are still being counted in the province-wide referendum held yesterday on whether to remain in the sinking ship that is Canada, and nine other questions, five of which had to do with how much more uncontrolled immigration the province will have to put up with. The actual wording of the questions is shown in blue. Here are the results from the Elections Alberta website, as of this writing. Click on the link to get the latest numbers.

In typically Canadian fashion, the main question was Number 10. Should Alberta remain a province of Canada, or should the Government of Alberta commence the legal process required under the Canadian Constitution to hold a binding provincial referendum on whether or not Alberta should separate from Canada?

Results with 78% of the polls reporting showed that although Canada is a nitwit country governed by leftist wokesters, Albertans are decidedly in favour of remaining in Canuckistan, with a very clear majority opting for Option 1, with 1,368,931 choosing it over Option 2, which got 437,236 votes.

Questions 1 through 5 are the ones about immigration. This is the first chance any Canadians have been given the chance to vote directly for or against the federal Liberal government's proposals to continue to continue with the Great Replacement. Can you guess the result?

1. Do you support the Government of Alberta taking increased control over immigration for the purposes of decreasing immigration to more sustainable levels, prioritizing economic migration and giving Albertans first priority on new employment opportunities? YES: 670,185, NO: 522,864

2. Do you support the Government of Alberta introducing a law mandating that only Canadian citizens, permanent residents and individuals with an Alberta-approved immigration status will be eligible for provincially-funded programs, such as health care, education and other social services? YES: 585,786, NO: 446,321

3. Assuming that all Canadian citizens and permanent residents continue to qualify for social support programs as they do now, do you support the Government of Alberta introducing a law requiring all individuals with a non-permanent legal immigration status to reside in Alberta for at least 12 months before qualifying for any provincially-funded social support programs? YES: 556,687, NO: 397,729

4. Assuming that all Canadian citizens and permanent residents continue to qualify for public health care and education as they do now, do you support the Government of Alberta charging a reasonable fee or premium to individuals with a non-permanent immigration status living in Alberta for their and their family's use of the health care and education systems? 5. Do you support the Government of Alberta introducing a law requiring individuals to provide proof of citizenship, such as a passport, birth certificate or citizenship card, to vote in an Alberta provincial election? YES: 549,764, NO: 320,550

The Rt.Hon. Marx Carney, Prime Minister of All Canuckistan and Head Cheerleader for DEI and yet more immigration pronounced himself well pleased with the result of the vote on Question 10. As for the rest, he has so far said... nothing... absolutely nothing!

Will the referendum make any difference to anyone? Walt predicts the results, when finalized in another three days or so, will be filed in the Great Archive of Ottawa and the Lesser Archive of Edmonton, never to be referred to again. Lifetime pct. .889.

UPDATED: OK, so it wasn't a mutiny... BUT...

According to the Canadian government led by Liberal Prime Minister Marx Carnage, it appears that the fire at CFB Wainwright that killed four soldiers and injured 39 more was a  tragic accident. Simply a case of a nearby wildfire getting out of control and trapping the soldiers who were on a training exercise. Nothing more. In other words...

Alberta Premier Danielle Smith revealed this afternoon that there are 39 patients being treated in hospital. Smith said at least 19 of the injured are in critical condition. Patients were transported from Wainwright to four hospitals across the province. 

The four soldiers who died in the fire are: Sgt. Morgan Wong of Edmonton AB, Pvt. Shaun Farrell of Prince Albert SK, Pvt. Aidan Goulding of North Vancouver BC, and Pvt. Hayden Lykkemark of Langley BC. They were members of the 3rd Battalion, Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry, who were preparing for deployment to Latvia next spring. They were sent on a training mission, carrying a good deal of live ammo, on Saturday afternoon while a grass fire burned less than a mile away. SNAFU.

Walt admits jumping to one or two possible conclusions. But the way things are these days, with everyone on the qui vive for an outbreak of Islamic terrorism, who wouldn't have suspected the involvement of some Islamic wannabes.

In his televised speech to a nervous nation [or deux nations nerveuses. Ed.] Marx Carney, Prime Minister of All Canuckistan was at pains to say that there is no evidence yet that the tragedy was the result of a terrorist attack. But...

Let me ask you this. If there was a terrorist attack, especially a successful terrorist attack, do you think the government would tell you? Do you? I rest my case.

UPDATE ADDED 19/10/26 at 0720 FMT: "Canada's national newspaper" the Groan & Wail, reports today that the investigation into this tragedy will be done not by the RCMP but by a military board of inquiry. In other words, the army is going to investigate itself, and the proceedings will be closed. Surprised?

BREAKING! Mutiny at Canadian Forces Base Wainwright?

Canadian Defence Minister David McGuinty was sweating  profusely last night from the effort of dissembling as he faced the press following what he called "tragic events" at a Canadian Forces base in east-central Alberta. "I'm saddened to share that there have been both fatalities and injuries as a result of an incident on the base," he said in a presser in the world's second-coldest capital city.

The minion said he could not recall an incident like this "in recent memory," while at the same time divulging no details whatever about the "incident" at CFB Wainwright earlier on Saturday. Here's the video from Canadian Press.

Alberta Premier Danielle Smith said in a post on X that the province is "learning of a significant and tragic fire that is affecting many of our brave military personnel." She did not say whether or not she thought the "incident" had anything to do with the referendum to be held tomorrow in which fed-up Alberta citizens will finally get a chance to vote yes or no to the province's separation from TROC and whether to clamp down on mass immigration of undesirably and unassimilable Third-Worlders.

Prime Minister Marx Carnage also went on social media post to say. that a "serious incident creating a major fire occurred at CFB Wainwright. Our thoughts are with all the brave women and men affected. We are working closely with the Government of Alberta and local authorities. Premier Smith and I are in close contact, as are our relevant ministers and officials." 

Hey, you all, what happened? The truth will out some day, because the RCMP is investigating and, as you know, they always get their man... or men... or "persons".

Why, then, am I suggesting the possibility of a mutiny? Think back, please, to last summer. On 8 July 2025, three men in Québec were arrested and charged with facilitating terrorist activity, and a fourth was charged with weapons offences. 

According to the RCMP, the men plotted to "forcibly take possession of land" near Québec City. They sought to establish a new society and build an anti-government militia. The arrests followed a January 2024 raid outside of Québec City in which the Mounties took possession of 16 explosive devices, 83 firearms and accessories, 11,000 rounds of ammunition, and nearly 130 magazines. Some of the material seized was "diverted" from the Canadian military, although no details have been released. Whether or not the men were members of the CAF was not disclosed.

The men were alleged to have taken part in training activities, including weapons training and climbing, survival and orientation activities. Media reporting indicated that a broader group existed beyond just these four men. At least 15 members of this wider group received badges [We don't need no stinking badges! Ed.] and a number, the same as soldiers have. Some of their training and survival activities attracted groups of 30 or 40.

The accused men also ran an Instagram account where they tried to recruit people to their cause. The account was private and administered by one of the men. They also used the account to promote weapons, share information about training, and provide advice on survival and orientation. Images shared with the public suggest that the page had at least 1000 followers. 

While the men charged likely all knew each other primarily from their military service and the broader military community, the Instagram account might have allowed them to recruit other members from outside the military community. Walt's agent on the inside says the "new society movement" has spread throughout the Canadian Armed Forces, many of whose members are fed up with DEI, the feminization of the military, the recruitment of non-citizens and infiltration of Muslims and Sikhs, and the general deterioration of Canadian society. If these guys don't take up arms (they believe), who else is going to do the necessary to save Canada from its rulers?

There is an alternate possility. Many of our readers have expressed disappointment that the execution by firing squad of Nidal Malik Hasan, scheduled for December 3rd, will not, after all, be televised. In 2009, Dr Hasan, a US Army Medical Corps psychiatrist, went rogue (as the saying goes) at Fort Hood, murdering 13 people and injuring 32 others. 

Why? Dr Hasan is a believer in the Religion of PeaceTM. At his court martial in August 2013 he said he wanted to stop American soldiers from going to Afghanistan to kill Muslims like his own goodself. Is it possible, Walt asks, that a follower of the Prophet was involved in the "incident" at CFB Wainwright? If so, will Canadians be told, or do current Canadian laws against Islamophobia prevent full disclosure? Stupid question.

Ed. here. We must admit that we use some pretty antiquated technology here, about as old as this video test pattern from the old daze of TV. (Did you see the Indian move?) Old computer programs will only stand so much tweaking, and a couple of days ago I, yes I gave it one tweak and one twerk too many. 

A complete reinstall has been effected and we are now scrambling to recover files, particularly Walt's slush pile where we had saved stuff which would serve to fill this space on days when Walt can't think of anything. When we find it (and not until then), there will be new posts.

In times past we've had a number of posts deleted, or (more often) the embedded videos therein disabled, usually because of some copyright problem or, occasionally, because the content violated "community standards" or promoted "hate speech". You won't find the Evalion videos here, for example.

Lately, though, Ed. has noticed that some of our posts -- the "Your Sikhs today" -- are getting only a small fraction of the "hits" that most posts receive. We have never been warned by the Alphabet People who control Blogger, but we suspect we're being "shadow-banned".

A shadowban (or stealth ban) is an action taken by a social media platform or online community to partially or completely hide a user's content or profile from other users without telling the person it happened. 

Today, along with (we presume) all users of Blogger, we have received a warning -- they call it an "update" -- as follows: "We are making some changes to our policies, effective December 16, 2026. To see how these changes may affect you, please find more information in the Blogger Content Policy." Do we need to tell you that the changes are all about DEI, protecting children, censoring hate(ful) speech, and preventing the spread of "false and harmful information" about things like voting and immigration.

Really, it's about censorship, about the syndrome depicted in the cartoon -- turning a blind eye to the ills of our society and pretending that the Great Replacement isn't happening. By Christmas-time we may be effectively prevented from posting any realistic social and political commentary. If it comes to that, we'll continue WWW on a more truth-friendly platform. [Hey! Frankie was born in the UK but his parents wisely moved to the land of Oz when he was a tot. He grew up in rural Australia [Is there any other kind? Ed.] where he started performing hillbilly music in his teens. He released singles which were successful in Australia and New Zealand. In America,  not so much.

But that's not the version Walt wants to share with you today. We are pleased to repost this performance by a good Ukrainian girl, Софїя Шкїдченко (Sofia Shkidchenko), on Ukraine's Got Talent, in 2018.

This video has had something like 211 million hits since it was posted in 2018, and close to half a million likes. The title onscreen says that Ms Shkidchenko was 11 when it was recorded, but Ed. read elsewhere that she was born in 2005, which would have made her 13. 

We're not sure if  Sofia has been able to remain in Ukraine since the Russian invasion, but we understand she is actively continuing her music career internationally, performing concerts and sharing new vocal and yodeling projects across her YouTube channel and social media platforms. 

She has performed live and taken part in charity events and international competitions, including appearances in Boston and on Poland's Got Talent and Spain's Got Talent. She regularly drops original tracks and covers blending pop, jazz, and traditional yodeling. Of course yodeling is not part of Ukrainian culture or tradition, but hey...

Michael Moore explains why Canadians are giving thanks today

The slobbish crypto-socialist film-maker now working to put the Dimocrats back in power is not wrong about everything. For instance, he correctly predicted the demise of Senile Joe and the huge victory for DJT. And he is not wrong when he lauds things Canadian society does better than than America, like providing adequate (if not outstaneding) basic health care "free" for all. 

It's things like that, Mr Moore will tell you (even if you don't ask him) that make Canucks say "Thanks, but no thanks" to President Trump's repeated urgings -- a mix of threats and promises -- to become the 51st state. By far the majority of ordinary Canadians believe that even though Canada is a nitwit country, life is better off there amidst the winter snows than it is for their American counterparts. 

For that reason, Walt, along with several US senators and state governments, recommends that  President Trump lay off Canada! Union with the land of the free yada yada isn't going to happen, and yapping about it will not help the Republican mid-term election campaign, which, from our corner of the forest, looks like a lost cause.

New anti-woke Parti Québécois government to curb mass immigration

Yesterday, in "It doesn't matter where you live. The threat is real", we mentioned briefly the victory of the nationalist (thus anti-immigration) Parti Québécois in Monday's election in la Bette Province. We present now an abbreviated version of the report by Tristin Hopper in Canada's National Post.

Following Monday's election results in Québec, the province may be in for one of the more "anti-woke" programmes in the country, particularly on the issue of immigration. 

The "sovereignist" (read: nationalist) Parti Québécois will form a minority government, with the revitalized Québec Conservatives holding the balance of power. 

The province’s premier designate, Parti Québécois Leader Paul St-Pierre Plamondon, has denounced the open borders policies of Canada's Liberal government, declared multiculturalism a failure and  even led campaigns against "wokeisme" in politics.

One of the more immediate policy implications of the new government is likely to be tighter restrictions on immigration, and an explicit push toward increasing the fertility rate as an alternative to accepting immigrants. 

Among the seven priorities which the PQ pledged to pursue were pledges to cut red tape, reduce gasoline taxes and "retake control of our immigration system." For months, M Plamondon has explicitly cited high immigration as a driver of housing unaffordability, health care backlogs and criminal behaviour among Québec youth.

Rising crime rates in Québec are "linked to demographic changes, we can’t ignore that," he told le Journal de Québec last year.

Specifically, the Parti Québécois has pledged to limit permanent immigration to 35,000 per year. For context, the last year Quebec accepted fewer than 35,000 permanent immigrants per year was in 2000, when they brought in 32,502. Last year, 60,132 permanent immigrants settled in the province, with 59,440 arriving the year before.

The party's official immigration platform calls the issue an "urgent situation" that has been imposed on Québécois "without our consent", and includes a clause about using "automation" and "robotics" to reduce dependence on foreign workers. 

When Prime Minister Mark Carney hinted in a New York Times interview last month that his government was planning a "controlled increase" to immigration, M Plamondon responded with a statement accusing Ottawa of attempting to subvert "Québec democracy." "A PQ government would oppose from day one any immigration increase imposed by the federal government," he said. 

Québec, just like the rest of Canada, was hit by an unprecedented surge in "temporary migration" approved by Justin Trudeau's Liberal government in the immediate aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic. As recently as 2015, the number of non-permanent residents entering the province was about 3600 per year. In 2023, the peak of the post-COVID migration surge, that number swelled to 125,092! 

Québec has also been particularly hard hit by a wave of asylum-seekers who began entering Canada at elevated rates beginning in 2017. Until it was closed in 2023, the Roxham Road illegal border crossing into southern Québec was the primary conduit for such migrants.

According to then-Premier François Legault, in 2023 alone, an estimated 60,000 asylum-seekers registered in Québec, resulting in overflowing homeless shelters. An estimated 190,000 asylum-seekers are still in Quebec, representing more than a third of the Canadian total of 500,000. Conservative Party Leader Éric Duhaime made the issue a recurring theme of his campaign, stating that at least one third of asylum seekers had come to "profit off our social benefits", which he pledged to reduce.

He also proposed sweeping incentives to drive up the Québec birthrate, which, even if it's above the Canadian average, is at a historic low of 1.36 children per woman. The Parti Quebecois similarly rolled out a campaign promise to "slow the falling birth rate." In a statement, M Plamondon said, "Every Québécer who wants children should be able to start a family."

For both the PQ and the Conservatives, the real issue isn't the raw numbers of immigration, but the risk of cultural dilution. In an April press conference, the PQ leader accused the federal government of succumbing to the Trudeau-Carney "doctrine of postnationalism" that caused it to embrace "open borders."

Last week, as the PQ cruised toward victory, the Québec conservative columnist Mathieu Bock-Côté said that it augured a Québec "really turning the page on multiculturalism and unchecked immigration." Representatives of most mainstream Québec political parties are on record as saying that multiculturalism is a failure. The province's most recent immigration minister, Jean-François Roberge said last year, "We think ghettoization does not serve social cohesion."

Québec was also largely immune to an early 2020s phenomenon of Canadian institutions issuing reports and statements declaring themselves guilty of "systemic racism", mandating land acknowledgements and implementing identity-based quotas in official hiring. In 2024, Québec's National Assembly unanimously passed a motion endorsing merit-based hiring over DEI-style hiring based on identity quotas.

Walt sez: Québécois aren't racists. They're realists! When is the rest of North America going to wake up?!

It doesn't matter where you live. The threat is real...

If you watched "Will mass migration be the death of the West?" and thought, "It's not my problem. Maybe it's too late for Britain and France, but there aren't many Islamists in my community. Why should I worry?", Walt says: Look around you! They may not be there in numbers yet, but they're coming, and almost none of our political and religious leaders is trying to stop them.

Throw your support behind politicians you can trust [??? Ed.] to work for totally closed borders and the remigration of the criminals and terrorists who are already amongst us.

You think it can't be done? Just two days ago, the pure laine Canadiens of the province of Québec turfed out the centre-left CAQ, which had held power for eight years, and elected what promises to be the most anti-woke government in Canada!

Parti Québécois leader Paul St-Pierre Plamondon, now the Premier designate, has denounced the open borders policies of the federal Liberals, declared multiculturalism a failure, denounced wokeism and promised Canada's strictest controls on immigration. 

See? If enough people get over their fear of being vilified as "racist", "Nazi scum" etc to vote according to what they know in their hearts is right, we can win!

Walt explains why brake and accelerator pedals have become so big

A long time ago, near a teak forest in southwest China, lived an old man named Chan. He made his living by carving toys, statuettes and other tchotches out of the abundant teak wood. One day Chan awoke to discover that some of his carvings, which he left on display in front of his hut, were missing. He put out some new ones only to have them disappear as well. The only clue as to what happened was a track of small footprints, about the size a boy might make. 

So Chan decided to sit up all night, to find out who was stealing his objets d'art. In the wee hours, by the light of the moon, he could see a bear -- a bear with very small feet (for a bear) -- making off with his goods. So he ran out of his house shouting, "Hey! Where you go, boyfoot bear with teaks of Chan?!"

I was thinking about that last week when I was driving a rented 2026 VW Jetta Sport. I am a boyfoot bore, and found that the pedals on the Jetta (pictured below) were much larger than necessary to accommodate my small (size 7) feet, noticeably smaller than those on my 10-year-old Korean car. 

I asked myself, "Self, how come is it that brake and accelerator pedals suddenly got back to 1960s size?" Then I remembered something I read in P.J. O'Rourke's Parliament of Whores. Here's a slightly edited version of what Mr O'Rourke -- a great car enthusiast and writer -- said.

For 20 years the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has been getting complaints about "unintended acceleration" or "runaway car syndrome". People claim that their automobiles take off at high speed for no reason. 

Usually this happens when the gearshift selector is being moved from P to D or R. The drivers swear that they didn't have their feet on the gas and often swear that they were pressing on the brake as hard as they could. 

These alarming episodes of mechanical self-will are officially known as sudden-acceleration incidents. By 1987, 6000 SAIs had been reported, supposedly causing 3000 accidents, 2000 injuries and 56 deaths. 

There was a great outcry in consumerism circles. Demands were made for the government to put a stop, as it were, to this. In the twinkling of an eye (by the standards of bureaucratic time, which is slower than geologic time but more expensive than time spent with Madame Claude's girls in Paris) the thing was done. 

On 7 March 1989, the DOT-NHTSA produced an 81-page report written by an eight-man group of engineering savants with more than 50 years of college among them. This document presented evidence from exhaustive experiment and analysis that proved what everybody who understands how to open the hood of a car had known all along about SAIs: "Pedal misapplications are the likely cause of these incidents." 

Yes, the truth was out at last! The dumb buggers stepped on the gas instead of the brake. The report shed some dim light on how this could happen, especially cases involving the Audi 5000, which was the favourite target of the Liability Lawyer Bottom-Feeder Association. 

Audi had the bad luck to be designed with its brake and accelerator pedals close together (where, for the sake of quick stopping, they belong) instead of in separate counties, as they are in typical American luxury cars. Thus Audi got a large number of plush-bottom yoohoos suffering from daytime-television brain buying the 5000. These people had never driven a European car before and were too busy attaching Garfield suction-cup toys to the rear window to watch what their feet were doing. 

Santa Barrazza! Mr O'Rourke put his finger [his toe, surely. Ed.] on the underlying problem -- the large and growing difference in size between Europeans and North Americans. Cars like the Buick, in which the brake pedal is separated by at least a foot from the accelerator, are designed for people with big, fat feet. 

My 1963 Plymouth Savoy (the best car I ever had) had a brake pedal which was, I swear, a foot wide. This was a problem because, in the absence of a clutch, there was a great temptation to rest one's left foot on the brake, giving rise to a conflict between accelerator and brake which, fortunately, the brake usually won. 

There is an obvious fix for the big-feet-small-pedals problem, and I was surprised, while driving the VW, to discover that European car makers (or Volkswagen at least) have figured it out at last. North Americans are not going to get smaller, so the solution is to make the pedals bigger and separated by more space, as in the picture. 

And what's that huge pedal on the left? Is it a clutch? Nooooo. The Jetta is an eight-speed automatic (note: not a CVT). What looks like a pedal is a really a "dead pedal" a plate fixed to the floor to give you a place to rest your big fat foot! Problem solved!

VIDEO: France's "Amelia" mourns her once-great country

I would call Thaïs d’Escufon France's answer to the famous Amerlia, except that Thaïs is a real person! She originally posted this video on "X", to warn American and European friends of the dangers of mass immigration, especially of Islamists who want to impose on us their "Religion of Peace". 

We can see in her video the kind of "peace" Islamic extremism has brought to what used to be the most civilized and cultured nation of Europe. "I’m so ashamed," she writes, "but you need to see what France has become. Don’t make the same mistakes we did. The conspiracy is NOT a theory: Islamists urge vote for Dimocrats

In spite of the presence in their ranks of persons like Ilhan Omar and Zohran Mamdani, the Democrats have been at pains to deny any links between themselves and the Islamists who wish to kill us "infidels" and impose Sharia Law on the world. Anyone who believes there is any connection is, they say, the victim of brainwashing by the delusional Orange Man. 

Now we have proof that the conspiracy between the Islamists and the Democrats is not a theory but a fact! The Dimocrats -- even some of the Jews among them -- welcome the support of militant Muslims such Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, who have just published a 25-page letter addressed to Americans urging them to oppose President Trump during the upcoming midterm elections. 

The IRGC claims that the President and his support of Israel are the cause of the war in the Gulf, even as they urged voters to reject both in the voting booth. "America’s national security and the lives of its service members are entrusted to someone who is not only an inveterate liar but is also an insanely avaricious man whose only motivation in life ​is the accumulation of ​greater wealth," wrote IRGC spokesman Hossein Mohebbi in the Islamist regime's latest attack.

The letter accuses President Trump of concealing the "peaceful nature" of Iran's nuclear programme, despite allegations from the International Atomic Energy Agency watchdog that Tehran was enriching its uranium beyond what's needed for a power plant. The US and Israel have defended the current unpleasantness primarily as a means of preventing the Islamic republic from obtaining nuclear weapons.

The IRGC also lashed out against the American government's designation of the security force as a terrorist group, claiming there was not "a single verifiable instance where the IRGC has committed an act of violence against civilians." This in spite of reliable reports that the regime killed between 7000 and 30,000 protesters last January during a brutal crackdown on dissent. The Islamists say the violence was instigated by "foreign actors". 

The letter goes on to claim that the war was decimating the American economy, with high fuel prices caused by the fighting in the Middle East. "The US economy is on the precipice of collapse," the letter says, "and yet he keeps on telling Americans that the economy is booming and the prices will soon start coming down. This is, perhaps, [President Trump's] biggest lie. Soon, the dam will break, and the economy will implode, causing, unfortunately, great pain for Americans for many many years." 

The Iranians have long maintained that they can cause enough economic harm on the US of A to force it to concede, while also enduring massive economic strains under Operation Economic Outcast. The reality is that Iran's international trade is in  freefall under the blockade, with its currency plummeting to historic lows this week.

Mr Mohebbi also tried to refute claims that Iran has lost control of the Strait of Hormuz, where oil is flowing at about half of what it was before the war began. "The fact ​that the Americans ⁠might manage, at great expense, considerable trouble and high risk to sneak a small vessel through the Strait of Hormuz under cover of darkness to export, say, 100 or 200 barrels of oil does ⁠not mean ​the Strait is open," he wrote. In fact, more than 7 million barrels are flowing out of the Strait of Hormuz every day, with the Persian Gulf’s total crude exports now at 72% of prewar levels.

Dear readers, don't believe the lies of the jihadists and their friends in the party whose avatar, fittingly, is a jackass. America is winning the war against the militant Muslims. Your support on November 3rd is essential. Get out and vote, and vote right!

Your Sikhs today: Alberta edition

Yeah, I know. Many readers couldn't care less about the threat to our society represented by some [Note "some". Ed.] of the 1000s of Sikhs who have been allowed to enter Canada without any vetting and on the flimsiest of visa covers -- students, temporary workers, etc. And yes, I'm speaking of Canada because the percentage of Sikhs running around doing Sikh things is much higher in Canada than in the US of A.

The point is...  you can't open a paper or turn on the news these days without hearing a story about a crime of some kind for which a Singh has been arrested or is being sought by Inspector Knacker. Of course they aren't namede in the lickspittle media but if you follow the story to the police blotter, you'll find one Singh after another. Scroll down to our previous post for an example.

From British Columbia we move east to Alberta -- Canada's version of Texas -- where a 29-year-old Sikh drug dealer already facing seven weapons and other offences following a traffic stop in Brampton ON two months ago has been hit with more charges.

Peel Regional Police (the "police service" with the unenviable task of dealing with crime in Sikh-majority Brampton and Mississauga) said Friday that their ongoing investigations led to the seizure of two more illegal firearms. 

Police said officers investigated a vehicle in the area of Cedarbrook Rd. and Edgewater Ct. on 10 August. 10 at approximately 0220 and seized a loaded illegal handgun. Three individuals were arrested and charged with multiple firearm-related offences.

Then, on 13 August, at about 2230, investigators went to the residence of one of the accused from the original incident and located two additional firearms -- a 9 mm handgun and a sawed-off rifle as well as several rounds of ammunition. 

Navjot Singh (pictured), of Innisfail AB has been charged with careless storage of a firearm, two counts each of possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized and possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition, careless storage of ammunition, and failure to comply with an undertaking. 

But wait (as Vince Offer used to say), there's more. The accused was also charged following the traffic stop with unauthorized possession of a firearm, knowledge of unauthorized possession of firearm, occupant of motor vehicle knowing there was firearm, possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm, tampering with serial number of firearm, obstruct peace officer, and failure to comply with an undertaking.

And Mr Singh has form. Way back in 2024, the Alberta Court of Appeal upheld a judge's guilty verdict against him in a case involving a $4-million narcotics seizure, which required the convicted drug dealer to surrender to authorities. What he was doing on the loose in Alberta is anyone's guess. He is now expected to resume serving the original 10-year sentence handed him in 2022.

We'll try to find something else to write about tomorrow. Promise.

Indeed we were, but not BC's Lower Mainland, which is now part of Canuckistan. From Langley BC, just east of Sikh-majority Surrey, comes an announcement from the Mounties that they've nabbed five "foreign nationals" charged with extortion-related crimes in the region.

Anyone want to guess the country from which the "foreign nationals" hail? Anyone? Yes indeedy, it's India! Anyone want to guess the ethnicity/religion of the five? We have only their names (and only the partial name of one is revealed) but let's just see...

Sanket Singla, a 23-year-old from India, charged with: Extortion, contrary to s. 346(1.1) (b) of Criminal Code; Two counts of recklessly discharging a firearm into or at a place, contrary to s. 244.2(3)(b) of the Criminal Code; Two counts of causing damage by fire or explosion to property, contrary to s. 434 of the Criminal Code; and Throwing an explosive substance with the intent to destroy or damage property, contrary to section 81(1)(c) of the Criminal Code. 

Sahil [That's all. Just "Sahil". Jagdeep Singh, a 24-year-old resident Ottawa ON, charged with: Extortion, contrary to section 346(1.1) (b) of Criminal Code; Recklessly discharging a firearm into or at a place, contrary to section 244.2(3)(b) of the Criminal Code; Causing damage by fire or explosion to property, contrary to section 434 of the Criminal Code. [This may the "Jagdeep Singh" referred to in "CBSA searches for escaped immigration detainee". Or maybe not. Ed.]

Supt. Dosange told the meeja that Project E_PURSUANCE began in June 2025 following an extortion report from co-owners of an auto dealership, who he said were the subject of "extreme extortion demands. Subsequently, that was followed up with acts of violence, which included arson and shootings in Langley and Surrey, BC.

"Through a dedicated project team and extensive operations across Canada and internationally, investigators were able to identify a group allegedly involved in the extortions. Other criminal offenses were also identified, such as firearms trafficking and drug trafficking. 

"The project also resulted in the seizure of numerous dangerous items taken off of our streets such as firearms, drugs which we suspect will be cocaine, fentanyl, and opium. Additionally, we obtained evidence identifying additional suspects, evidence that supports other extortion-related offenses throughout Western Canada. Our E_PURSUANCE investigators are sharing that evidence with our colleagues in Western Canada and across Canada, so we are expecting more charges coming from our policing partners in the very near future."

Walt congratulates the "Horsemen" on their good police work but reminds them that there are a few thousand more Sikhs out there, doing the things they do. Put down your Tim Hortons, boys, and rouond up more of the usual suspects.

Solar power disarray

Just before leaving for a little holiday in la-la-land, Walt had occasion to visit a large dairy farm in central Canada. The owner showed me a large array of solar panels which they installed about three years ago. He reckons that it will take another ten years before the set-up has paid for itself and said he lives long enough to see that. Of course, he added, that's assuming that the panels last that long!

This woman needs help

Meet Malia Nummerdor, presently residing in the Charlotte County FL hoosegow. Malia is facing serious criminal allegations, and she needs experienced legal representation to ensure that she has the opportunity to fully address them through the proper legal process. 

This situation has also deeply affected her two young sons, who deserve privacy, stability, and as much normalcy as possible while the adults involved work through what comes next. 

This fundraiser is not asking anyone to decide the facts of the case. It is about helping a mother and her children get through an extraordinarily difficult period and making sure Malia has access to appropriate legal representation.

The foregoing is excerpted from a fundraiser posted on the SupportNow website on Monday. According to Breitbart News, the fundraiser had been reported by the New York Post, numerous other outlets, and social media which apparently examined it, but has apparently been taken down.

The story behind the appeal is that Ms Nummerdor, the 38=year-old mother of two boys, was arrested on a bestiality charge after her husband claimed he caught her on camera performing sex acts with the family dog. She says she is the victim of a vengeful spouse and launched a fundraiser so she can fight the allegations in court. 

Police arrested Malia Nummerdor after her estranged husband, Erik Nummerdor, went to Facebook [!!! Ed.] claiming he had video and photo evidence. Ever since, Malia and her sons’ lives "have been turned upside down (the fundraiser text says) following a painful and difficult situation involving Malia’s estranged husband and allegations against her that she maintains are untrue."

Note from Ed.: No, we don't have the video or Facebook link. Even if we did, we wouldn't post anything like that here. We do, however, encourage anyone knowing of anyone's abuse of family pets of any species to report the matter to the authorities. This sort of thing may happen in other, more decadent societies, but must not be allowed in America!

Another blow for Merz; Alternativ für Deutschland tops polls in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania election

No wonder German Chancellor Friedrich Merz (incorrectly pictured in previous post) is looking glum. His new nickname, replacing "Fred", is "Fried", as his goose looks to be cooked following his Christian Democratic Union party's dismal showing in elections held this past weekend in Berlin and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.

In its second shock victory in less than a month, the Alternativ für Deutschland (Alternative for Germany) emerged as the strongest party in Sunday's state election in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. The Left (read: Communist) Party finished first in Berlin's contest.

In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, the AfD won 38.2% of the vote, good for 32 seats in the 71-seat state parliament. The incumbent Social Democrats were reduced to 35.5% and 29 seats. The Left Party received 6.5% and the Greens 5.7%, giving them five seats each.

The big news, though is that Freddy's Christian Democratic Union (CDU) received only 4.9% of the vote, thus falling below the 5% threshold, thus being shut out of the state parliament for the first time since the founding of the Federal Republic of Germany. 

The result leaves the existing SPD-Left coalition without a majority, while an SPD-Left-Greens alliance would have enough seats to govern. As has been the case everywhere a rightist party finishes first but doesn't hold a majority, the other parties have ruled out forming a coalition with the AfD. 

In Berlin, the loony Left Party finished first in the state election with about 25.3% of the vote, ahead of the CDU at 19%. The AfD received about 16% and the SPD 12.1%. The results have intensified pressure on Herr Merz to quit before things get worse. He is now in full denial mode, refusing to read the handwriting on the wall. 

The Grauniad reports today that he has vowed to keep his fractious coalition government together for the good of Germany's "democratic future" after his conservative party "suffered a drubbing at the polls" in the state elections. He intends (he says) to plough ahead with an unpopular reform agenda, and that it is vital that he and his coalition government remained in place. Vital to whom, he didn't say.

Sweden's "progressives" embrace remigration, get re-elected

Earlier this month we posted the good news of the stunning victory of Alternativ für Deutschland in recent elections in the east German state of Saxony-Anhalt. We predicted a bright future for parties of the right, not just in Germany but in Europe as a hole. [Pun intended. Ed.]

We should have added... except for Sweden of course. It is well known that Swedish voters, wishing to uphold Sweden's reputation as a liberal society, regularly re-elect governments of the leftish persuasion, usually the Social Democrats. (Swedish SocDems should not be confused with the American variety, who now control the Dimocratic Party and are not just loony but completely loony.)

In the national elections just concluded, something amazing happened! Popular backlash against the crime wave and other social problems caused by the presence in Sweden of hordes of darker-skinned people (most of them followers of the Prophet) forced the Swedish left to do a 180 on immigration. And guess what? Swedish voters went for it!

To the surprise of even its own members, the "Red-Green" opposition alliance and its liberal sidekicks threw out the centre-right Moderate Party, its nationalist Sweden Democrat allies, and other partners in the "Tidö" bloc, and returned the "reformed" Social Democrats to power.

The top issue in the election was immigration was a top issue, with both the SocDems and the Tido bloc united (to hear them tell it) in opposition to mass immigration and ethnic minority enclaves, aka "no-go zones". Voters of immigrant background overwhelmingly rejected the right, but if "old stock" Swedes had suported the Tido parties it wouldn't have matter. But -- let us be honest -- the white people leaned the wrong way and took another stab at committing cultural suicide.

Of course it's just possible that the Red-Green coalition may keep its promises. [Wut? Ed.] And it's noteworthy that the Social Democrats, Moderates, and Sweden Democrats have reached a consensus, particularly on returning unsuccessful asylum claimants to their countries of origin and deporting foreign criminals more effectively.

If the government and opposition really do co-operate to do clamp down on further nass immigration of unassimilable minorities, Sweden may yet remain alongside Denmark (see "Featured Post", at right) among the countries with the toughest policies on migration, asylum and integration. Mind you, it's rather like locking the doors to the coop after the chickens have come home to roost, but Swedes can still hope.

We traditional Catholics never eat sheep on Fridays or during Lent... and, in Walt's own case, hardly ever at other times. I just don't like it. When someone serves roast lamb, the best part for me is the mint sauce/jelly! 

But... chacun à son goût. There are people from other parts of the world, followers of other religions (especially the Religion of PeaceTM) who think sheep are a great delicacy... good eatin' and (for some) good [gerund deleted here in the interest of decency. Ed.]

The "Black juror" (so called in recent news) is Michael P. Desronvil, the lone holdout juror in the Lindsay Clancy murder trial. Rather than finding Ms Clancy, the killer of her three children, "not criminally responsible", he voted for a guilty verdict.

UPDATED: Your Sikhs today: 4 who are no longer with us

Canada is often referred to as Canuckistan, for it plays host to 100s of 1000s of illegal aliens, a great many of whom are Sikhs. And a great many of those are criminals. When some of them are actually sent back to Khalistan, it's big news, at least for the Canada Border Services Agency, the agency charged with remigrating them.

It was with great fanfare that the CBSA announced yesterday that it has removed 111 people from the country as part of a nationwide crackdown on foreign nationals suspected of links to extortion and organized crime. Here are four of them.

Clockwise from the top, they are: 

Palwinder Singh, removed from the country after he was connected to an extortion-related shooting in the fall of 2025. The Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada found him inadmissible for "being a member of a criminal organization linked to extortion-related violence."

Jasmer Singh, deported after he was convicted in Canada of forcible confinement. 

Sahibjot Singh, a foreign national [citizen of which country? LOL Ed.] who was deported for his admitted connection to an organization that the agency says "engaged in a pattern of criminal activity", and

Amitoz Singh Bajwa was deported after he was associated with firearms offences and an extortion-related shooting.

The "criminal organization" with which the Messrs Singh were associated was not named and is certainly not affiliated with the Liberal Party of Canada.

The deportations stemmed from 188 removal orders issued over the past year, with the bulk of the deportations occurring in British Columbia (including the Sikh territory of Surrey) and the Greater Toronto Area (including the Sikh territory of Brampton ON). 

In its self-congratulatory news release, the CBSA said the initiative began in the Pacific and Prairie regions in August 2025, then expanded to the GTA three months later, "because that's where these guys are." 

50 removal orders were issued in the GTA, with 23 -- less than half -- of the the criminals actually being shown the door. The other 27 have not been apprehended, probably because they're constantly on the move as drivers for Diversity Truck Lines.

VIDEO: Habs fans revile latest acquisition

Fans of the Montréal Canadiens awoke on Sunday to learn the hell had frozen over! Surely that's the only explanation for the Habs' signing of Enemy No. 1, aka Chris Kreider, the beyond dirty player who, when with the New York Rangers, ran all-star goalie Carey Price into a goalpost, giving Mr Saturday Night a knee injury from which he never fully recovered.

Kreider  has signed a one-year contract with the Bleu, Blanc et Rouge after clearing waivers and mutually terminating his previous deal with the Anaheim Ducks. It can be argued -- see video -- that his acquisition gives the Habs some much-needed middle six strength, but our National Sports Editor, Poor Len Canayen, rerminds us that (a) Kreider is not the No. 2 centre we've been looking for and (b) he's old enough to be Ivan Demidov's father, not a good fit with the team's youth movement.

Beyond that, Poor Len was pre-apoplectic and incapable of speech. So we turn to our buddy from the Rock, the Hockey Junkie, for a reasonably measured (if heavily accented) analysis. 

Well, dat's buddy's opinion. This is ours. This is a great betrayal of Carey Price and all Habs fans. Are we supposed to applaud the passing of the torch to someone who tried to blow it out? This is shameful. Execrable! Kreider had better get a case of the diplomatic flu on the night they honour Carey Price au Centre Bell. Either that or wear ear-plugs to drown out the chorus of boos. He is not welcome here.

UPDATED: Lest we forget...

That was 25 years ago. Today there are Islamists -- followers of the Religion of Peace💣-- in positions of influence and power across the entire United States of America. 

Some are mayors of big cities (see photo below). Some are Congresspersons. Five Muslims served in hte 119th Congress, all in the House of Representatives, and all Democrats. Notable among them are such patriotic Americans as "Squad" members Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib.

There are currently no Muslim state governors. However, Ghazala Hashmi serves as the Lieutenant Governor of Virginia, making her the first Muslima ever to be elected to statewide office. At present there are no Muslim US senators, but Abdul El-Sayed won the Democratic nomination for the Senate in Michigan. If he wins, he will become the first Muslim senator in American history.

We are now just seven (count `em, 7) weeks away from the mid-term elections at which American voters -- hey! I'm talkin' to you! -- will have the opportunity to decide if they want more... or fewer... followers of the Prophet to guide the destinies of the nation. The franchise is there for you. Use it! And choose wisely!

Richard John "Rick" Beato is an American YouTuber, multi-instrumentalist, music producer, and educator. Since the early 1980s, he has worked variously as a musician, songwriter, audio engineer, and record producer; he has also lectured on music at universities. Beato owns and operates Black Dog Sound Studios in Stone Mountain GA. (Don't miss the Confederate Memorial Carving while you're there!)

Mr Beato is afraid that the media in which our history and culture is recorded is in danger of being loss, consigned to the "memory hole" envisioned by George Orwell in 1984. He argues that if the written, audio and visual works are not destroyed completely -- digital records being destroyed by a solar flare, for instance -- they may survive only in forms "corrected" according to the politics of the day.

The lessons: Keep all your books, DVDs, CDs, tapes and vinyl. And back your stuff up. Make .pdf files of the printed material. (We recommend an 11 x 17 scanner) Digitise4 the video and audio tapes. Make copies of the CDs and DVDs. Get a large (4 TB or bigger) external hard drive. And remember, even a hard drive can be destroyed and/or will eventually fail. Govern yourselves accordingly!

VIDEO: Canada's REAL problem, in under 3 minutes

Dear Canadian readers, what you're about to read and hear is going to sting. 

Walt has a sort spot for Canada [in his head. Ed.] At the end of its first century of official existence (30/6/67), it was still a "not too bad" (as Canucks say) place to live. 1000s of Americans crossed the World's Longest Undefended BorderTM, not just to get out of the draft but because Canada was seen as quiet, peaceful, with good social services (especially health care) and without the extremes of wealth and poverty of the US of A.

But then, in the spring of 1968, Canada's Natural Governing Party (aka the Liberal Party) chose as its leader Pierre Elliot Trudeau, a socialist intellectual and great friend of Fidel Castro, who reigned as Prime Minister (later Empereor) from 20 April 1968 to 4 June 1979, and again from 3 March 1980 to 30 June 1984. Yes, the 1984 foreseen by George Orwell!

On his ascension to the throne the alleged father of Emperor Trudeau II [some say Fidel was Justin's real papa. Ed.], the Northern Magus* said, "You won't recognize Canada when I'm through with it. Too right, he was. And his "opening-up and reform" of the Great White North has been carried on, for most of the 42 years since he retired, by a succession of Liberal rulers chosen from the Laurentian elite, including Justin (aka Blackie McBlackface) and his successor, Marx Carney.

The sad thing is that Canadians -- old-stock Canadians -- don't seem to care. They, especially those living in the three big cities, keep electing the liberals, pinkos, and other loony leftists -- anybody whose name appears on a Liberal red election sign. 

The result is the Canuckistan that President Trump makes fun of today -- the same President Trump that Mr Carney, his toadies and the bought-and-paid-for media blame for all of Canada's self-inflicted problems. Yes, we have video, from Satire Squad HQ.
