VIDEO: Democratic House candidate calls it what it is

Further to "Did you 'celebrate the power' today?", posted here just yesterday... More than one of our readers has congratulated us for resisting the cheap joke by not substituting, for the "the" in the headline, a two-syllable word which can refer to a cat or to the female pudendum.

We admit to shyness about using said word. After all, this is a family publication! Besides, we are not "male feminists", like Just In Trudeau, the former Governor of Canuckistan. Apparently feminists like to not only use the p-word but to shout it from the rooftops. One such is Michigan House candidate Shelby Campbell. Here's an actual video of Ms Campbell, posted on Libs of TikTok and reposted on Blazing Cat Fur.

We've only seen this clip, and hope there's not more. Kinda makes you want to run right out to the voting booth, doesn't it? Ms Campbell is a Democrat, running in Detroit's District 13.

From the Babylon Bee: 12 Inspiring Bible Passages About Pride

Already? Again? Yes, Pride Month began today, making this the perfect time to see what inspirational passages can be found in God's Word (KJV) that pertain to the subject. Kick your pride up a notch and pass these comforting verses on to the gays in your life:

Genesis 19:24-25: "Then the Lord rained on Sodom and Gomorrah sulfur and fire from the Lord out of heaven. And he overthrew those cities, and all the valley, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and what grew on the ground."

Leviticus 18:22: "You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination."

Leviticus 20:13: "If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them."

Job 35:12: "There they cry out, but he does not answer, because of the pride of evil men."

Proverbs 8:13: "The fear of the Lord is hatred of evil. Pride and arrogance and the way of evil and perverted speech I hate."

Proverbs 16:18: "Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall."

Daniel 4:37: "Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, for all his works are right and his ways are just; and those who walk in pride he is able to humble."

Romans 1:27: "and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error."

I Corinthians 6:9-10: "Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God."

James 4:6: "But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, 'God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.'"

Jude 1:7: "Just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding cities, which likewise indulged in sexual immorality and pursued unnatural desire, serve as an example by undergoing a punishment of eternal fire."

I John 2:16-17: "For all that is in the world — the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life — is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever."

Truly heartwarming. Be sure to side hug a gay and share one of these inspiring verses today.

VIDEO: ICYMI. Did you "celebrate the power" today?

Sorry we're late posting this, but today, May 31st was a very special day for Canadians who have, or would like to have if the Liberals would pay for the surgery, the appurtenances mentioned in this speech by Pam Damoff, Liberal Member of Parliament for a riding in the Greater Toronto Area.

We must apologize for not drawing your attention to this Very Special Day until now, its fifth anniversary. Honestly, we didn't know until Agent 6 alerted us this morning. Only in Canada you say? Pity!

Footnote: It's interesting that Ms Damoff and her party neglected the opportunity to decry the barbaric cultural practice beloved of the Prophet and his followers, i.e. female circumcision, aka female genital mutilation. Guess it's not an issue in those parts of Canada which haven't yet been overrun by the Islamist hordes.

VIDEO: For the Montréal Canadiens, the season is over. The Hockey Guy analyzes what happened and what the future holds

After the MontrĂ©al Canadiens won the first two rounds of the Stanley Cup playoffs only to bow out to the Carolina Hurricanes last night, Poor Len Canayen, our National Sports (as long as it's hockey) Editor, is having trouble composing himself, let alone a post.

Faut de mieux, he has sent along this video by The Hockey Guy, who gives an excellent analysis of what happened to the Habs, and what the future holds.

We fans of les Glorieux are disappointed, but not ashamed. We have put our sweaters and toques away until the fall, and look forward to an even better year in 2026-27. Bravo, les boyz!

VIDEO: Victor Davis Hanson: What the DNC "autopsy" should have said

A week ago the Democratic National Committee released the post-election "autopsy" on the disastrous (for them) 2024 presidential campaign. DNC Chair Ken Martin published the 192-page report after facing intense internal pressure to release the previously-shelved document.

Before you watch the video, if you're a sucker for punishment, you might read through the full report, here: "DNC releases 2024 autopsy, with chair apologizing for 'creating an even bigger distraction’", NBC News, 21/5/26. See if you can figure out, without Victor Davis Hanson's help, what's missing.

No? You don't want to wade through 192 pages of the veriest bullshit? Well then... Mr Hanson says what's missing is any mention of the "New" Democratic Party agenda. Why? Because the Jacobin wing of the party refuses to believe that agenda is the reason why the Dimocrats lost so decisively in 2024.

They believed that a war on fossil fuels, open-border policies that let in over 10 million illegal aliens, allowing men to compete in women's sports, and the nature of the US withdrawal from Afghanistan were all great policies worth recognition. Listen up.
.

"In conclusion," says Mr Hanson, "if the autopsy wanted to be accurate, it would have done this. We lost the 2024 campaign because we had a radical agenda that reflects the Jacobin neo-socialism of the new party. For us to get elected on a national basis, we have to hide that agenda."

VIDEO: Canuck judges go easy on Singh School of Truck Driving killers

Q, What happens to an Indian Sikh if he takes his driver's licence test three times and fails every time?
A. He gets to move to Canada as a "foreign student" or "temporary foreign worker".
Then, all to often, this happens. You'll find the name of the transport driver [Not "Singh", shurely! Ed.] below.

Why yes, Ed. it is Singh. (All Sikh men are Singhs, although not all Singhs are Sikhs.) And the driver who caused this horrific crash is one is just one of dozens of Sikhs who have been treated with extreme lenience by Canadian judges in spite of the carnage they cause on the highways of the Great No-longer-white North.

Why do they get special treatment? Because if they got jail terms of 6 months or more, they would be liable to be deported -- sent back to the Punjab (or "Khalistan", as they would have it) -- once they've done their time. Notice I say "liable". There is no guarantee that they would actually have to leave Canuckstan, since only 3% of deportation orders are ever carried out.

Earlier this month, Ontario trucker Sukhwinder Sidhu was sentenced to two-and-a-half years in jail for a similar collision in which he plowed his rig into cars stopped at a construction site, killing former Canadian ice dancer Alexandra Paul.

Two weeks ago, a Thunder Bay ON judge granted an absolute discharge to another Indian, Ajitpal Singh, who caused a fatal head-on collision with another trucker. Mr Singh's sentence was explicitly made light so that he would avoid deportation to India.

This past January, Lovepreet Singh was sentenced to nine months in jail for driving his truck at full speed into a Toyota Corolla slowing for a construction zone.  A brother and sister trapped inside the burning car were killed.

In April of this year, a Federal Court judge deferred the deportation of Jaskirat Singh Sidhu, the trucker who killed 16 members of the Humboldt Broncos hockey team in 2018 by speeding through a stop sign.  Mr Sidhu who served three-and-a-half years of an eight year sentence for the crash, and was ordered deported, but the judge -- a Liberal appointee like almost all judges in Canada -- granted a 17-month pause in deportation proceedings so that Mr Sidhu would have time to seek a permanent stay of deportation on "humanitarian and compassionate" grounds.

Also in April, a BC judge gave 90 days of house arrest to trucker Dalvir Singh Jhattu for a 2023 crash that, according to police, could have easily have killed multiple people. Jhattu drove his tractor trailer at full speed into a tow truck that was in the midst of attaching a Mercedes that had been impounded by the RCMP. That's the crash shown in the video.

The latest incident of judicial insanity occurred this week in Kamloops BC, when Harpreet Singh pleAded guilty to driving without due care and attention in an April 2024 crash where his tractor trailer crossed the centre line and collided with a CN Rail work truck. Both vehicles exploded in flames after colliding.

Harpreet Singh came to Canada from India in 2023, the year before the collision. One of those who met a fiery death was his passenger, Dharminder Singh. Also killed was Juver Balmores, a CN Rail employee and father of three.

Astonishingly, Crown prosecutors did not pursue criminal charges against Mr Singh, agreeing instead to a fine of C$2000 (about $1460 in real money) and 18 months of probation. Will he be deported? Will he at least be banned from driving for life? Chances are two -- slim and none.

Ed. tells you why...

Ed. here. Some readers, having noticed that there haven't been as many posts this month as usual, have expressed wonder about Walt's health. Let me reassure you. In spite of having a lot of hard miles on the chassis, Walt is in pretty good shape for the shape he's in.

So why the occasional lacuna? There are two reasons. No. 1: It's gardening season. Plant in May and go away. Right? But arctic air coming down from northern Canada has held things up, so Walt is now in catch-up mode.

No. 2: Walt's getting old... really old... and just doesn't get as much done in a day/week/month/year as before. Agent 5, who has known Walt for donkey's years, has sent along this which pretty much sums up Walt's attitude these daze.

UPDATED: Your Sikhs today: Halifax NS edition - mother of dead baby has died without speaking to police

First the facts, just the facts. Two people charged with concealing the body of a child and indignity to human remains appeared virtually in provincial court in Halifax NS today Monday. Sukhpreet Singh, 23, and his wife Ramandeep Kaur, 26, are also charged with resisting a peace officer and obstruction of justice.

The Crown prosecutor, Paul Carver, told the court "The mother of the deceased newborn is currently in critical condition and unresponsive in the hospital." He asked for a three-day adjournment because of the "potential for additional very serious charges under these circumstances." Mr Singh and Ms Kaur remain in custody pending a bail hearing on Thursday.

The charges stem from an urgent search and investigation over the weekend for a missing newborn baby, whose remains were eventually found in a wooded area in the Goodwood NS region. Halifax Regional Police said they were first called at around 9:40 p.m. Friday about a woman in life-threatening condition who "appeared to have just given birth."

An extensive search was launched by police and Nova Scotia Ground Search and Rescue, who combed the area around an apartment building in Halifax’s Clayton Park neighbourhood. That search continued overnight and through Saturday. Police said remains were discovered Sunday afternoon in a wooded area off Old Coach Road, 6 miles from the initial search site.

Constable Martin Cromwell told reporters today that the initial call was made through 911, although he couldn’t say who made the call. The woman was taken to hospital by ambulance from an apartment on Willett Street; however, the baby was not located.

Four people, all known to the woman, were initially taken into custody for questioning. Halifax police said two were released and Mr Singh and Ms Kaur were charged. Mr Singh is described as a "relative of the woman."

An autopsy will be held to determine the cause and manner of death. PC Cromwell said it's unclear whether the baby was born alive. He said the woman's condition is still very serious, and investigators haven't been able to speak to her.

Comment from Google AI: Sex-selective abortion is a deeply rooted practice driven by a strong cultural preference for sons. It remains an acute issue in parts of South Asia, such as India, and persists among certain diaspora communities in Western countries, resulting in skewed male-to-female birth ratios.

Further reading: "Over 23 million girls killed by sex-selective abortion", The Christian Institute, 21/5/19.

Update added 28/5/26: Halifax police announced yesterday that the 23-year-old woman who arrived in hospital last Friday in critical condition after giving birth has died. An investigation into the deaths of a woman and her newborn baby will be "challenging", the cops said.

A spokesthingy said police investigators didn’t get a chance to interview the mother, who was described by a Crown prosecutor earlier this week as "unresponsive". Two people charged in connection to the discovery of the newborn's remains will remain in custody after a bail hearing did not proceed.

Sukhpreet Singh, 23, and his wife Ramandeep Kaur, 26, are each charged with concealing the body of a child, indignity to human remains and two counts of obstruction of justice.

Ms Kaur's lawyer appeared on her behalf in court on Thursday, while Mr Singh played the "no speak English" card when he appeared via video with a Punjabi interpreter. Police have previously said Mr Singh is a "relative" of the baby's mother. The pair did not seek bail and will return to court on June 22nd.

Your Sikhs today: (mostly) Brampton ON edition

Here are photos of seven men Brampton ON police call the "For brothers network".

You'll see their bearded pusses again in this photo lineup of 17 miscreants.

They are: Iqbal Singh Bhagria, 25, of Brampton, Akashdeep Singh, 24, of Norval, Ravinder Singh, 25, of Surrey, BC, Jashanbir Singh, 21, of Surrey, BC, Dilawarpreet Singh, 26, of Brampton, Mandeep Singh, 21, of Brampton, Prabhdeep Sohal, 22, of Brampton, Partapbir Ghuman, 22, of Brampton, Ajaydeep Singh, 29, of Brampton, Navroop Singh, 24, of Brampton, Rajan Singh, 28, of Barrie, Amritjot Singh, 22, of Brampton, Jashanpreet Singh, 22, of Brampton, Guneet Guneet, 27, of Brampton,Sukhwinder Singh, 32, of Brampton, Mohinder Singh, 30, of Brampton and Gautam Gautam, 22, of Manteca, California. [How did that last one get in there? Ed.]

Apart from their beards, what do you suppose these 17 men have in common?.....I'm sure you're way ahead of us on this one but here's the answer. They are all Sikhs and all are originally from south Asia, or India, to be precise. [What happened to diversity being Canada's strength? Ed.]

Not much, and all accused by Peel Regional Police of being involved in the extortion of innocent business people -- mostly compatriots and co-religionists -- for cash as part of a "pay up or you pay the price" criminal enterprise.

In recent months 324 gunshots were fired into two dozen Peel residences or businesses. The 17 men just arrested face 106 criminal charges over 24 incidents, of which16 are linked to the "For Brothers" network. The charges include arson and multiple shootings, conspiracy, obstruction of justice, breaches of court orders, and drug-related offences. Police also seized six firearms, illicit drugs, cellphones, SIM cards and fraudulent IDs.

Inspector Singh (no relation) of the Peel police told the meeja "The organized criminal network is allegedly responsible for a series of targeted attacks against the Region of Peel's South Asian community. They are believed to have been active in Brampton, Mississauga, Caledon, and British Columbia, with links to California." Sources say one of those charged -- Sukwinder Singh -- is also wanted in India for an attempted murder.

Only two (count `em -- 2 out of 17) of the alleged perps are permanent residents of Canada. The others range from visitors to "temporary" workers.* Some are said to have already been kicked out of Canuckistan and many will also face deportation hearings.

Brampton mayor Patrick Singh Brown commented, "Talk about a complete failure of border security when you have 17 (alleged) foreign criminals terrifying a community and committing violent acts. All should be deported yesterday. There is no way this should be allowed to happen." Duh, eh.

Of course a hearing doesn't guarantee deportation. A Sikh student of the notorious Singh School of Truck Driving who took out most of a Saaskatchewan hockey team in a horrific crash some years ago is still in Canada, pleading to be allowed to remain "on humanitarian grouns". And, as reported in WWW passim, Sikh criminals have become adept in claiming asylum, saying their lives would be in danger if they were returned to the "Khalistan" which they love so dearly.

* Footnote: Tim Hortons, the iconic Canadian coffee 'n' donuts chain, today announced that it would be ending its use of the "temporary" foreign worker scheme, saying it was "no longer necessary."

VIDEO: Farewell then, Stephen Colbert

Winning the war against fake news and the controlled media!

CBS News Radio (previously known as CBS Radio News), historically a part of the CBS Radio network, was a radio network that at its peak provided its version of the news to more than 1000 radio stations throughout the United States.

Note Walt's use of the past tense. Yesterday evening, the network, owned by Paramount Skydance Corporation and its predecessors, pulled the plug... hit the kill switch... on CBS News Radio. So today we have two fewer woke, anti-Trump voices to tell us not to believe what we can see with our own eyes.

But wait (as Vince Offer used to say), there's more! Other voices of the lickspittle media are teetering on the brink. Since the beginning of 2026, along with the cuts at CBS, the Washington Post also laid off a third of its staff. The Associated Press offered buyouts to over 120 journalists. And CBS parent company Paramount has also acquired the Clinton News Network, aka CNN.

Ted Johnson, politics and media editor for entertainment trade publication Deadline. opined that "all of these news sources have been kind of overshadowed by the growth of opinion voices, whether that's in podcasts or on cable news or in streaming. He did not explain why people have simply stopped listening to "legacy" news outlets.

Bill Bryson: Britain ideal place for Communism

Thirty years ago, in Notes From A Small Island, Bill Bryson, the most famous British writer ever to come from Des Moines IA, had this to say about the suitability of Not-so-great Britain for the Communist social experiment.

It has long seemed to me unfortunate...that such an important experiment in social organization [as Communism] was left to the Russians when the British would have managed it so much better. All those things that are necessary to the successful implementation of a rigorous socialist system are...second nature to the British.

For a start, they like going without. They are great at pulling together, particularly in the face of adversity, for a perceived common good.

They will queue patiently for indefinite periods and accept with rare fortitude the imposition of rationing, bland diets and sudden inconvenient shortages of staple goods, as anyone who has ever looked for bread at a supermarket on a Saturday afternoon will know.

They are comfortable with faceless bureaucracies and, as Mrs. Thatcher proved, tolerant of dictatorships. They will wait uncomplainingly for years for an operation or the delivery of a household appliance.

They have a natural gift for making excellent jokes about authority without seriously challenging it, and they derive universal satisfaction from the sight of the rich and powerful brought low. Most of those above the age of twenty-five already dress like [east Europeans].

The conditions, in a word, are right.

Roughly a year after Mr Bryson's highly recommendable book appeared, Sir Anthony Charles Lynton "Tony" Bliar ascended to the leadership of the Labour half of the Uniparty* and became Prime Minister of the Disunitede Kingdom. Evidently he had read the book, for he did his damndest to turn Britain, if not Red, then deep Pinko.

He failed, of course, because Margaret Thatcher had made it politically impossible to renationalize the steel industry, railways, etc., and not enough Third World migrants -- legal and otherwise -- had been "welcomed" to the green and septic isle to complete the transition to totalitarianism.

Fast forward to July of 2024 when British voters, having tired of a succession of feckless and inept "Conservative" governments, gave the Labourites 411 seats in a general election, whereupon the equally feckless and inept King Charles III invited Sir Keir Starmer (to be played in the movie by Sir Michael Palin) to form the next government and lead Britain down the People's Path to, errr... thingy... you know....

The Starmer government quickly set new records for incompetence, DEI, and geneeral wokeness in the face of common sense. Of 122 ministers appointed by the New Dear Leader, 18 have resigned, 1 has been dismissed, and 20 have left to spend more time with their families. [These figures are from Wikipedia, so should be taken cum grano salis. Ed.]

Given the opportunity a couple of weeks ago to show buyer's remorse, the British electorate gave Sir Keir's Labour Party (and, it must be said, the "Conservatives" as well) a rirhgt thrashing in a local elections bloodbath which saw it routed on English councils, and destroyed in Wales and Scotland. See *"Uniparty politics FAILS in UK...", WWW 10/5/26.

Does this mean that Bill Bryson was wrong? I think not. It's just that his timing was off. If Sir Keir can somehow cling to power through one more election [I'll take that bet. Ed.], he and his Pinko friends may yet reduce No-longer-great Britain to the level which prompted Mr Bryson to  write what he did. IMHO, Britain is fecked (as the Irish say) but I don't expect to be proven right until... maybe this fall!

The folly of talking to liberals

Ed. here. We are experiencing technical difficulties. We hope to post something more substantial as soon as we can find a 16-year-old Chinese kid to fix our system.

109 years ago today, this happened...

Today, May 13th, is the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima. On this day in 1917, three shepherd children --LĂºcia dos Santos (10) and her cousins Francisco Marto (9) and Jacinta Marto (7) -- saw the Blessed Virgin Mary in Cova da Iria, near FĂ¡tima, Portugal. She appeared as a "lady brighter than the sun," holding a rosary, and entrusted the children with a message from Heaven.

The Three Seers (as the children became known) were leading their flock out from Aljustrel on the morning of the 13th of May, the feast of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament. They passed FĂ¡tima, where the parish church and cemetery were located, and proceeded a kilometer or so north to the slopes of the Cova. Here they allowed their sheep to graze as they played in the pasture studded with a few oak trees.

After having had their lunch about noon they decided to pray a rosary, although in a somewhat truncated fashion, saying only the first words of each prayer. Shortly, they were startled by what they later described as "lightning in a clear sky." Thinking that a storm might be approaching they debated whether they should take the sheep and go home. Preparing to do so they were again surprised by a strange light.

"We began to go down the slope driving the sheep towards the road," LĂºcia said. "When we were half-way down, near a holm oak there [still standing there today, encircled by an iron fence], we saw another flash of lightning, and after a few steps we saw on a holm oak [a small one lower on the hillside] a lady dressed in white, shining brighter than the sun, giving out rays of clear and intense light, just like a crystal goblet full of pure water when the fiery sun passes through it.

"We stopped astounded by the Apparition. We were so near that we were in the light that encircled her, or which she radiated, perhaps a meter and a half away [4-5 feet]. The lady said, 'Please don't be afraid of me, I'm not going to harm you.'"

LĂºcia responded for all three, as she would throughout the apparitions, "Where are you from?" The Lady answered, "I come from heaven."

The Lady wore a pure white mantle, edged with gold and which fell to her feet. In her hands the beads of a rosary shone like stars, with its crucifix the most radiant gem of all. Still, LĂºcia felt no fear. The Lady's presence produced in her only gladness and confident joy.

"And what do you want of me?", LĂºcia asked. The Lady said, "I want you to return here on the thirteenth of each month for the next six months, and at the very same hour. Later I shall tell you who I am, and what it is that I most desire. And I shall return here yet a seventh time."

"And shall I go to heaven?", asked LĂºcia. "Yes, you will," said the Lady.
"And Jacinta?" "She will go too."
"And Francisco?" "Francisco, too, my dear, but he will first have many Rosaries to say." For a few moments the Lady looked at Francisco with compassion, tinged with a little sadness.

LĂºcia then remembered some friends who had died. "Is Maria Neves in heaven?" "Yes, she is."
"And Amelia?" "She is in purgatory."

"Will you offer yourselves to God, and bear all the sufferings He sends you? In atonement for all the sins that offend Him? And for the conversion of sinners?"
"Oh, we will, we will!"
"Then you will have a great deal to suffer, but the grace of God will be with you and will strengthen you."

LĂºcia relates that as the Lady pronounced these words, she opened her hands, and "we were bathed in a heavenly light that appeared to come directly from her hands. The light's reality cut into our hearts and our souls, and we knew somehow that this light was God, and we could see ourselves embraced in it."

By an interior impulse of grace we fell to our knees, repeating in our hearts: "Oh, Holy Trinity, we adore You. My God, my God, I love You in the Blessed Sacrament."

The children remained kneeling in the flood of this wondrous light, until the Lady spoke again, mentioning the war in Europe, of which they had little or no knowledge. "Say the Rosary every day, to bring peace to the world and an end to the war."

After that she began to rise slowly in the direction of the east, until she disappeared in the immense distance. The light that encircles Her seemed to make a way amidst the stars. LĂºcia said, "that is why we sometimes said we had seen the heavens open."

Jacinta Marto and her brother Francisco were canonized as a saint by Pope Francis on 13 May 2017, the 100th anniversary of the First Apparition of Our Lady of Fatima. They are the youngest non-martyr saints in the history of the Catholic Church. Lucia dos Santos (aka nSister LĂºcia of FĂ¡tima) has not yet been canonized, but was declared Venerable by Pope Francis on 22 June 2023. This recognition of her "heroic virtues" is a significant step in the Church's canonization process.

VIDEO: Disaffected Michael Matt asks: Did you REALLY vote for this?

I am one of the many 1000s who are (to put it mildly) disappointed that President Trump has not yet succeeded in Making America Great Again. I think POPTUS made a hyuge (mildly, again) mistake in attacking Iran, after having promised to keep us from getting entangled in any more Mid-East wars, and putting the treasure spent on Iraq and Afghanistan to better use at home. And yet, here we are, wondering how in hell he's going to get America out of this hot mess. See "WINNING! "The war is over!" POTUS orders 5000 troops back to USA", WWW 2/5/26.

I know Michael Matt, editor of The Remnant newspaper, agrees with me [or vice versa. Ed.] Here's an excerpt from the latest edition of the Remnant Underground, in which Mr Matt asks: What's going on with Trump's America? Is this what we voted for?!

ICYMI, Mr Matt said it seems to him that there's not much to choose from between the Trump Republicans and "the other guys", that neither party seems prepared to do what is necessary to truly fix a broken America. He might agree with my argument in "Uniparty politics FAILS in UK... still working in Canada though", WWW 10/5/26, that we (the AABC countries) are headed in the wrong direction, no matter which half of the Uniparty is in power.

Because it's Monday, that's why

Uniparty politics FAILS in UK... still working in Canada though

    I often think it's comical... fa-la-ah-lah
How nature always does contrive... fa-la-ah-lah
That every boy and every gal
That's born into this world alive
    Is either a little Liberal
Or else a little Conservative! Fa-laaaa-lah!
Private Willis (of the Grenadier Guards), in Iolanthe, book by W.S. Gilbert

Ever since the electoral reforms of the mid-19th century, the Mother of All Parliaments -- the Westminster Parliament of the so-called United Kingdom -- has been dominated by a party of the left(ish) and one of the right(ish). The latter calls itself "Conservative". The "Liberal" party, as the former was known when W.S. Gilbert wrote those lyrics was supplanted in 1924 by the Labour Party, which, under Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, is now having its turn at bat.

The Right Honourable Mr Starmer has a rude awakening a couple of days ago when his party was thrashed in a local elections bloodbath which saw it routed on English councils, and destroyed in Wales and Scotland.

His Majesty's Loyal Opposition can take no cheer from the Labour debacle, as the Conservatives also lost hundreds of council seats across Once-great Britain. Labour also lost control of the devolved parliament of Wales, to the nationalist Plaid Cymru party, while the Scottish National Party kept its majority in Scotland.

While the slightly less leftish Liberal Democrats and the loony Green Party made gains, the big winner was the Reform UK party, led by Nigel Farage. Mr Farage now looks the best bet to be the next prime minister of the Disunited Kingdom, as pressure mounts on Sir Keir to fall on his sword. See "Over 100 Labour Politicians Call on Prime Minister Starmer to Resign After Election Disaster", Breitbart News, 10/5/26.

What we are seeing here is nothing less than the destruction of Britain's two-party system, where power is rotated between two parties with virtually indistinguishable liberal democratic policies, who might better be called not "Labour" and "Conservative" but "Ins" and "Outs".

Vote share projections by Rallings and Thrasher suggest that if a general election had been held on the same day as these local elections, Labour would have scored only 15%, with Reform on 27% and the Tories on 20%. The Greens and the Lib Dems were both on 14%. At a Westminster election those numbers would probably produce a hung Parliament, with Reform the largest party but well short of an outright majority.

Prime Minister Starmer has argued that his Labour party stands its best chance at political survival with him at the helm, rather than tacking to the left or right with a replacement leader. Speaking to The Observer yesterday Saturday, he said he hopes to be in power for the next eight years, meaning that he hopes to lead the party to victory in the next general election in 2029.

For his part, Nigel Farage boasted of a "truly historic shift in British politics" and said he is "heading for Number 10" (i.e. 10 Downing Street, the prime minister's residence), as Reform plundered seats in previous Labour strongholds in the North and Midlands. Mr Farage predicted that Starmer will likely be removed from office by mid-summer, and joked that he would be "very sad" to see Sir Keir ousted, adding "he is the greatest asset we have got."

Meanwhile the Canadian parliament continues to be controlled by the Uniparty, a de facto coalition of the leftish ("but not so much as under Trudeau!") Liberals and the rightish ("but not so much as under Harper!") Conservatives.

The only thing the two parties disagree on is who should sit on which side of the House of Commons. The general election of 2025 resulted in a hung parliament, with the "New Look Liberals" four seats short of a majority, In the year since, that embarrassing shortage of power has been rectified by the simple expedient of having three Liberals and one pinko (NDP-er) cross the floor to sit on the government side. Canuckleheads will now be ruled by the wokesters of the Laurentian Elite until the next election in 2029.

Your Singhs today: British Columbia double murder edition

For some time, "Your Sikhs today" has been a standing headline on WWW. Every day we receive tips and leads to news of crimes -- criminally dangerous driving, extortion, arson, drug smuggling, and murder -- committed by Sikhs living (legally or otherwise) in our countries. All Sikh men bear "Singh" as a surname or middle name.

As I said, we receive such news every day, but Ed. declared a moratorium on posting such, not because we cavil at fanning the flames of anti-Sikh sentiment (especially in British Columbia and Ontario) but because our readers are getting bored, as witness the declining number of "hits" on such articles. Today's story, however, is so horrific that it cannot pass unnoticed.

Yesterday, three Sikhs men from Surrey BC were found guilty of killing an Abbotsford BC senior couple in their home. Pictures of the murderous Singhs are hard to find. Some meeja outlets have confused them with the "Surrey 3" implicated in the 2023 assassination of Sikh extremist leader Hardeel Singh Nijjar. So Ed. has inset a court artist's drawing into a photo of their victims.

In a crime reminiscent of the movie In Cold Blood, the elderly couple, Arnold and Joanne De Jong, were murdered in their Abbotsford home in May of 2022 by Abhijeet Singh, Gurkaran Singh, and Khushveer Singh Toor.

Dismissing the "botched robbery" defence put forward at trial, Justice Brenda Brown accepted the Crown's argument that the three men were motivated by "debt, financial pressure and greed" when they  planned the home invasion and murders.

Evidence was presented during the trial that they used the De Jongs' credit cards, driver's licence and cheques to make purchases, pay off debt, withdraw cash and send money to relatives in India. Said the judge, "I’m satisfied that the murders of both victims were carefully planned, deliberated and executed. I’m satisfied that each accused is guilty of first-degree murder."

The bodies of the De Jongs were discovered on the morning of 9 May 2022 in their home on a rural road in east Abbotsford. Arnold De Jong owned two trucking companies and was a stereotype of the rich farmer portrayed stories like In Cold Blood

The court heard that Joanne De Jong, 76, was found in her bed with her hands and feet tied by rope and surrounded by a “significant amount” of blood. A pathologist determined she had died as a result of "sharp-force trauma" – stab wounds to her neck, possibly caused by a screwdriver – and "blunt-force trauma" to her head, possibly inflicted by a hammer.

Arnold De Jong, 77, was also found in bed – in a separate bedroom – with his hands and feet also bound, and his entire head and face tightly wrapped in duct tape. His cause of death was determined to be asphyxiation due to smothering.

The court heard that the three Sikhs, who all lived together in Surrey BC, knew the De Jongs because Abhijeet Singh owned and ran a cleaning company, and the two others worked for him. They had done work at the De Jong home in July 2021 and April 2022.

The Crown had argued that all three should share culpability no matter who inflicted the mortal injuries. Each of the defence lawyers argued that the killings were not premeditated – a requirement of first-degree murder – and that there was no evidence to directly link their client to the murders. The defence lawyers each argued that their clients might have participated in the home invasion, but they were not involved in the actual killing.

Justic Brown said, "The suggestion that anyone in the house would not have been aware of what was going on is unrealistic, and I reject any evidence suggesting otherwise." Both Abhijeet Singh and Khushveer Singh Toor had cleaned the De Jong residence a month before the killings, the judge found, and knew they would be recognized by the couple during the robbery. "Because of this, they could not leave the De Jongs alive at the conclusion of the home invasion. Even if the invaders were masked, the police would likely be able to learn their identities in short order."

Victim impact statements will be heard later this month. Under Canadian law, the murderous Sikhs will be sentenced to life imprisonment with no chance of parole for 25 years. However, our legal expert reminds us, there is a loophole -- the "faint hope" clause in the Criminal Code -- which says parole eligibility hearings may be held earlier in certain cases.

What if the Singhs raise the argument that they are actually political prisoners, since they were raising money to help in the fight for a Free Khalistan? Don't dismiss the possibility that a typically liberal Canadian adjudicator might just buy that!

WINNING! "The war is over!" POTUS orders 5000 troops back to USA

Just ahead of next week's 81st anniversary of V-E Day, President Trump announed that 5000 American troops will be withdrawn from Germany. "We won the war!" POTUS said. "The Krauts will never be able to have nuclear weapons -- not ever! Our mission of making the world a safer place is accomplished. So our brave men and women and others can come home to the welcome they deserve!"

In social media posts on Thursday, President Trump said German chancellor Friedrich Merz was "doing a terrible job" and had "problems of all kinds", including on immigration and energy, but that the US of A was tired of helping them and wouldn't waste any more money and lives doing so. The President has also suggested pulling American troops from Italy and Spain.

In a statement, Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell said the order to remove American troops from Germany had come from Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth. "This decision follows a thorough review of the Department's force posture in Europe and is in recognition of theatre requirements and conditions on the ground," he said. "We expect the withdrawal to be completed over the next six to twelve months."

German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius told the German Press Agency in Berlin that "the presence of American soldiers in Europe, and particularly in Germany, is in our interest and in the interest of the US." He added that the American withdrawal from Europe and also from Germany "foreseeable".

Reichskanzler Merz [no relation to Fred Mertz of the old I Love Lucy show. Ed.] added "Auf wiedersehen, sweethearts!"

Best comment (so far) on the WHCD assassin wannabe

comes from the Babylon Bee, fake news you can trust. (Surprised?) It's headlined

Liberals Applaud Improving Diversity Of Would-Be Trump Assassins

Following the harrowing incident at the White House Correspondents' Dinner over the weekend, progressives across the United States applauded the steadily improving diversity of would-be Trump assassins.

With many liberals concerned over the lack of minority representation among people trying to assassinate Trump, Democrats breathed a sigh of relief after learning that the latest failed assassin was black.

"For too long, the would-be Trump killer space has been dominated by white men," said local liberal Jamie Gallagher.

"Today was a long-overdue step forward in assassin representation. It's really encouraging to see people from different ethnic backgrounds engage in political violence. I just hope it helps little kids know that their skin color and sexual orientation do not have to hold them back from trying to kill Donald Trump."

While stating there was still more work to be done, DEI advocacy groups hailed the news of a minority assassin as a landmark victory. "When you see people of all different skin tones and socioeconomic classes trying to murder political figures, you know you've done your job," said DEI consultant Mary Harding.

"To be clear, we are not there yet. There are still so many underrepresented groups who face significant barriers in trying to assassinate world leaders. We will continue the hard work of ensuring real equity among people shooting guns at President Trump."

At publishing time, progressives admitted that they had been crossing their fingers in hopes that the failed assassin would also turn out to be gay.

Lest we forget: Genesis 19

Earlier today we reported on a charge of bestiality which has been laid against one Seth Christian, a British Columbia man who was caught mounting a horse in an unnatural way. Bestiality is an act of sodomy, a word more often used to describe homosexual acts between men.

The sin of sodomy -- unnatural sexual acts, contrary to nature -- is proscribed by all three Abrahamic religions. In Catholic tradition, the four sins that "cry to heaven for vengeance" (peccata clamantia) are grave actions that call for divine justice due to their extreme malice. These sins are: willful murder, the sin of Sodom, oppression of the poor, and defrauding labourers of their wages.

As Walt wrote in one of our first posts, way back in 2009, homosexual acts are clearly and firmly condemned in the Holy Bible. Look at the story of Sodom and Gommorah in the 19th chapter of Genesis. Those cities were notorious hotbeds of homosexuality.

Genesis 19:5-7 (DRV): "They called Lot and said to him, 'Where are the men that came in to thee at night? Bring them out hither that we may know [have sexual relations with] them.' Lot went out to them...and said, 'Do not so, I beseech you, my brethren; do not commit this evil.'"

But they did, and received their punishment. Genesis 19:24-26: "the Lord rained upon Sodom and Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the Lord out of heaven. And he destroyed these citie4s, and all the counry about, all the inhabitants of the cities, and all the things that spring from the earth. And [Lot's] wife, looking behind her, was turned into a statue of salt."

How quickly we forget. This week the Jerusalem Post reported that, this coming June, Israel is set to host the Middle East's largest ever LGBT festival at the Dead Sea. The new festival, dubbed "Pride Land", intends to transform the middle of the Judean desert into a colourful pride city.

The event intends to create an experience broader than parties or performances, instead aiming for a space that is alive 24 hours a day, with 15 hotels, beach complexes, parties, and a central performance arena all operating around the cock. Alongside the nightlife, Pride Land will have cultural and art complexes, relaxation and scenic areas, and family-friendly areas with children's activities, family-friendly workshops, and customized events. Sounds simply swell, doesn't it?

"This is not just another festival, it's the biggest thing we've done here," explained (((Aaron Cohen))), main producer and initiator of the festival. If God is sufficiently angered, Pride Land may well be the last thing they ever do there. As judges say, there is a precedent.

Canadian Christian accused of bestiality... with a horse

Walt sincerely hopes that no-one takes "You don't understand! It's part of our culture!" (WWW 15/4/26) as a suggestion that we think a proclivity for bestiality is unique to followers of the Prophet. Oh my goodness golly, no! Christians are just as likely to succumb to the temptations of the (animal) flesh.

[Are you going to give us an example? Ed.] Certainly! According to a report on Canada's Global TV News, an horse by the name of Yola, pictured below, was the subject of a sexual assault by a non-Muslim. Details below.

Earlier this week, a man named Seth Christian appeared in a Vernon BC court, charged with bestiality after being accused of sexually assaulting the old grey mare. [You're sure Yola is a mare? Ed.] Her owner, Erica Van Meenen, said that in January she discovered surveillance footage that showed a man sexually assaulting one of her horses.

She said she and her 10-year-old son were home one night when her phone began lighting up with notifications from the security cameras at her horse stables. "There was a clip and my horse [Yola] was looking very bright-eyed and aware that something was going on," she said, "So I scrolled to the next clip and that’s when a man walks by."

The Vernon detachment of the RCMP (known for their expertise in matters equestrian) were called to the property, where Ms Van Meenn watched the surveillance footage with an officer. "The officer's face just dropped," the owner said. "We both said, 'Oh my God!' He asked me right away if I was OK, and I just answered, "I'm in shock!"

Ms Van Meenan told Global News that it has been a lot to process, but finally, something is happening. "There’s a lot of people out there who were quite triggered by the situation, and it brought up a lot of trauma for other people. So it's relieving for not just myself and the horses, the owners of the horses of my property, but also the general public, because people are upset like this. It just is not acceptable."

So also says the Criminal Code of Canada, which defines bestiality as "any contact, for a sexual purpose, with an animal." Ms Van Meenan said she wants to see Mr Christian serve time. "I want to see him prosecuted to the full extent of the law. What that is, I’m not sure. I'm not sure if there is a fat jail sentence for this or what it is, but I want to see not just a slap on the wrist." [or some other bodily part. Ed.]

As for Yola, Ms Van Meenen said, "She is, seems to be, back to normal." But the situation has left her rattled. "It has given me this feeling of being uneasy in my own home, and then to see that trespassing by night wasn't on his list of charges. I'm not sure if it will be added at a later date, but that was a little bit disappointing to see that wasn't there."

Walt is reminded of a story about some British army officers who were gathered in the Mess in Cairo during the Great Unpleasantness of the early 20th century.

"Where's Smedley?" asked one. "I thought he was due back from leave."
"Didn't you hear?" replied another. "Old Smedley wasn't on leave. He was discharged from the service... dishonourably, I might add."
"Oh dear!" said the first. "Whatever for?"
"Caught having sex with a camel!" came the reply.
"Really!" said the first. "Male or female camel?"
"Female of course," came the answer. "Nothing wrong with old Smedley!"

The "cultural misunderstanding" defence employed again

This is further to "You don't understand! It's part of our culture!", WWW 15/4/26. In that case an Afghan "refugee" was found abusing a sheep in a sexual way -- don't make me spell this out for you -- and convicted of bestiality, in spite of his plea that he was just acting within the norms of his culture.

Closer to  home, Ontario meeja have (for a change) named and shamed a 37-year-old man from... wait for it... Brampton ON, who was found guilty of abducting a child almost three years ago in Thessalon, a town in northern Ontario.

A boy was fishing by himself at a river when pedophile approached, saying he was a real estate agent looking for property in the area. He lured the boy into his car using promises of ice cream and a fidget spinner -- "Hey kid, wanna learn how to spin your fidget?" -- which the Crown argued was grooming. The child was not physically harmed in the case and was rescued by his father, who contacted police

Manoj Govindbalunikam (for it was he) will spend 18 month (or less) in a provincial prison, after being convicted at the Sault Ste Marie courthouse on April 21st. In passing sentence Judge Michael Varpio said he wanted to send a clear message of "denunciation and deterrence" to both the perpetrator and society as a whole.

The defence for the former Brampton Realtor had argued previously that the situation was a "cultural misunderstanding", adding that an extended sentence could negatively impact Govindbalunikam’s ability to stay in Canada.

Judge Varpio rejected both arguments, saying that the accused has been in Canada for 12 years and is educated enough to know Canadian cultural norms. The judge said that Mr Govindbalunikam's risk of deportation was not a factor in his decision. He took judicial notice of the fact that less than 3% of deportation orders are ever carried out.

However, the judge said he was not presented with any evidence suggesting there was a sexual intent as part of the abduction. In addition to the 18-month prison sentence, the convicted pedophile will be on probation for three years following his release.

He also has a non-contact order with the victim, a DNA order, a weapons prohibition and must undertake counselling. Whether the immigratin police will be waiting at the prison gates when Mr Govindbalunikam is released remains to be seen. Don't bother staying tuned.

Music VIDEO: Dorothy Dandridge sings "A Jig In The Jungle"

Before there was DEI, before affirmative action, even before the Civil Rights Act, a black... or non-white... actress could still make it big in Hollywood. All she needed was talent. Here's song-and-dance artiste Dorothy Dandrige singing "A Jig in the Jungle" (Walt knows what you're thinking) in front of Cee Pee Johnson and his Orchestra.

Dorothy Jean Dandridge was an American actress and singer, born on 9 November 1922. That makes her 18 at the time this video was recorded.

Ms Dandridge was the first black American to be nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress, for Carmen Jones (1954). She performed as a vocalist in venues such as the Cotton Club and the Apollo Theater.

During her early career, she performed as a part of the Wonder Children, later the Dandridge Sisters, and appeared, usually in uncredited roles, in a succession of films, including a Marx Brothers picture. Can you think which one? Keep reading and Walt will tell you.

In 1959, Ms Dandridge was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Porgy and Bess. She was the subject of the 1999 biographical film Introducing Dorothy Dandridge, with the well-chosen Halle Berry portraying her. She had been recognized with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Ms Dandridge was married and divorced twice, first to dancer Harold Nicholas (the father of her daughter, Harolyn Suzanne) and then to hotel owner Jack Denison. She died on 8 September 1965 at the age of 42.

[Well? What about that Marx Brothers movie, then? Ed.]  Oh. Sorry. It was A Day at the Races, 1937.

Is this the year the Habs bring the Stanley Cup back to Canada?

Ed. here. We welcome the return of our National Sports (As Long As It's Hockey) Editor, Poor Len Canayen.

Tank youse, Hed. The last Canadian (or Canada-based) team to win the Stanley Cup, emblematic of the championship of the National Hockey League, was the MontrĂ©al Canadiens, who brought Lord Stanley's silverware home in 1993. They defeated the Los Angeles Kings in that year's final series.

Since then, no Canadian team has won the Cup. And no Canadian team has played in the finals since 2021, when the Tampa Bay Lightning defeated the Habs (for it was them, again) 4 games to 1.

In about 200 minutes, the same two teams will do battle again. in the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs. They finished the 2025-26 season 2nd (Lightning) and 3rd in the Atlantic Division, behind the surprising Buffalo Sabres by a mere 2 points. Whichever team wins this round will likely meet the Sabres next.

Who will win tonight? As I point my TV antenna towards Florida, I think of the last match between the Habs and the Bolts in the regular season. It was like the old Henny Youngman joke: I went to the fights the other night and a hockey game broke out!

Les Glorieux gave as good as they got, and I don't think they're going to be bested in the rough stuff department tonight. I also think the Habs can compete in goal. They have the luxury of two goalies -- the two Jakes -- with save percentages of over.900. TB has only the one.

As for scoring, Habs are better per the stats after an amazing season. How can anyone stop a power play unit consisting of Cole Caufield, Nick Suzuki, Juraj Slafkovsky, Ivan Demidov and Lane Hutson?! The question is defence.

The loss of Noah Dobson hurts. Alexandre Carrier may be able to play, maybe not. So that puts a lot of pressure on Jayden Struble and Arber Xhekaj. They've improved greatly in the second half of the season, but can they handle 20 minutes per game? It may come to that because coach will be reluctant to give much ice time to David Reinbacher and Adam Engstrom who, IMHO, aren't yet ready for prime time yet.

I hear you asking for a prediction. My heart tells me Habs in 7, but I wouldn't bet on it! Ed. says some blog posts end suddenly and inconclusively. This is one of them.

True story: Be careful what you wish for...

This picture of a charging African elephant was taken by Gary Freeman (left) a longtime safari guide in South Africa.

We must emphasize that the late Mr Freeman [Wut?! Ed.] was not your typical Great White Hunter, but a guide. He loved animals in general, and elephants in particular. He allegedly once declared that he "would rather be killed by" an elephant than shoot one.

And so he was. Mr Freeman was leading a walking safari at Klaserie Private Nature Reserve in the Limpopo province of South Africa on April 9th when he died in an elephant attack. Mr Freeman was taking a tour group through the reserve, which he owned.

The group had got out of their vehicle to proceed on foot when, according to the polisie, "an elephant suddenly emerged and charged at him. He tried to scare it off with the revolver he was carrying, but he was ultimately attacked by the elephant."

Sometimes life has a sudden yet inconclusive end. Blog posts too.

Yeah, sure, Holy Father... if such you are! Investigation under way!

Seriously? Is it possible even that the Wokest Pope Ever can be that naĂ¯ve?

Or is it possible (as some "radtrad" Catholics argue) that Leo XIV is not really the Pope? In a post published a couple of days ago on his Return to Tradition vlog but since taken down, Anthony Stine repeated a story that originated with Italian journalist Andrea Cionci. John-Henry Westen's exclusive on LifeSite News is headlined thus:

This is the first time the Vatican’s criminal investigative office has put in writing that multi-year claims have triggered an active investigation file on the validity of Benedict’s renunciation.

In a letter dated 30 March 2026 (reproduced in the article), the authenticity of which has been proven, ), Professor Alessandro Diddi, the Vatican's Promoter of Justice, rejected a request for access to the investigative file. The rejection was made solely on procedural grounds during an ongoing inquiry, not because the petition was deemed without merit.

Cazart! If the court finds that Pope Benedict's resignation was made under durerss, and was therefore invalid, everything done by Francis the Talking Pope and his minions, is invalid! That would include the elevation of Father Robert Francis Prevost, who was named a bishop and then a cardinal by Francis, who his Leonine successor is now rushing to canonize.

The Vatican is doing all it can to deep six the fact of the investigation. Walt guesses that pressure was brought on Dr Stine, perhaps by the bishop of the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City, in which he resides. And, other than Mr Westen, no Catholic commentator that I follow has picked up the report. I'm waiting to hear from Dr Taylor Marshall and Michael Matt, but they have been silent so far.

Of course it could turn out to be nothing. Do we really think a Vatican court will rule that nothing said or done by anyone since 13 March 2013 [A numerologist might have some fun with this date. Ed.] is of any effect? Still... stay tuned!
