Ummm, what does this mean, exactly?

If I live in Paris, or am a tourist thinking of visiting the Eiffel Tower, should I be afraid? Let no-one say we weren't warned!

Celine Dion sings "L’hymne à l’amour" at Queer Olympics opening

A commentator on Small Dead Animals asks why a planet-wide celebration of athleticism and uncommon sporting prowess is being introduced with yet another tedious display of cross-dressing, oddly selective sacrilege, and self-satisfied obesity? For "normies" like Walt, yesterday's opening ceremony was a truly emetic episode of wokeness triumphant.

There was, however, a moment of blessed relief, as Canadian singing star Celine Dion overcame chronic medical issues to sing "L’hymne à l’amour" from the first level of la Tour Eiffel. Rejoice, dear hearts, that real, straight people can still perform real, musical music. Enjoy.

Everything's getting "queered" nowadays -- e.g. the "queering of Palestine" -- and Mr O'Neill is getting tired of it. Aren't we all....

"Allahu akbar!" in Paris - second Islamic terrorist attack in three weeks

I've been concentrating on American politics and the 2020 election, so didn't get around to posting this story until today, but thought I'd better do so in case you missed it.

With the trial of the Islamic terrorists who perpetrated the massacre at the offices of the French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo under way, attacks by mad Muslims have become so commonplace that it's possible to conflate them. Don't. Last week's murder of an innocent schoolteacher was the second in three weeks. Expect more.

Here's the story. On Friday, Samuel Paty, a history teacher, was killed in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine, a commune in the northwestern suburbs of Paris. He was beheaded. Decapitated. Had his head severed from his body.

The perpetrator, shot dead by police soon after the atttack, has been identified just today as Aboulakh Anzorov, an 18-year-old "refugee" from Chechnya, a part of the Russian Federation located in the North Caucasus. It should be noted that Chechnya is predominantly Muslim, and Islamic terrorism is a persistent problem for the Russians.

French authorities figure the unnamed teen was the one who did the deed because he posted on social media a photo of the victim and a text claiming responsibility. The investigating prosecutor said these were found on the suspect's phone. He also confirmed that a Twitter account under the name "Abdoulakh A" [not "Mohammed"? Ed.] belonged to the suspect. That's where a photo of the decapitated head was posted minutes after the attack, along with the message, "I have executed one of the dogs from hell who dared to put Muhammad down."

Aha! There's the motive! Police officials say M Paty's discussion with his class of caricatures of the Prophet Mohammed had led to threats. The teenager had approached pupils in the street and asked them to point out his victim, they said. The suspect had been seen at the school asking students about the teacher, and the school's headmaster had received several threatening phone calls.

According to police, the suspect's half-sister joined the Islamic State group in Syria in 2014. They didn't give her name, and apparently don't know where she is now. However, in the classic French ploy of rounding up the usual suspects (see Casablanca), the anti-terrorism prosecutors have now arrested nine suspects, including the teen's grandfather, parents and 17-year-old brother.

French President Emmanual Macron is usually painfully politically correct about these things, so I'll give him full marks this time for denouncing, while visiting the school Friday night, what he called an "Islamist terrorist attack." He urged the nation to stand united against extremism.

Said M Le Président, "One of our compatriots was murdered today because he taught...the freedom of expression, the freedom to believe or not believe."

Walt's thought for the day: Standing up for freedom of expression seems like a good idea to me. Of course no-one in North America is going to be beheaded for doing so... right? Not by Muslims, anyway. See "Conservatives staging free speech rally attacked by critics" (read: Antifa), APNews, 18/10/20.

"Allahu akbar!" near old Charlie Hebdo office. Terrorism suspected?

Did you think the jihadis would let the fifth anniversary of the Islamic terrorist attack at the offices of the French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo pass unobserved? Nosiree Mohammed!

Reports reaching us this morning (Walt's time) say that a man wielding a machete or a meat cleaver [possibly a scimitar? Ed.] attacked and injured four people -- two seriously -- at the same site today. "At least" two people are said to have been arrested, one at the scene and one on the steps of the nearby Opera Bastille.

No information about the suspects has been released, and the motivation for the attack has "yet to be determined", according to politically correct French government officials, but it's noteworthy that 14 of the suspects in the 2015 attacks at the Charlie Hebdo offices are currently on trial.

The attacks were supposed to be punishment, according to the will of Allah, for the magazine's publication of satirical cartoons depicting the Prophet Mohammed. This is a developing story. Walt will try to bring you an update as soon as the names of the radical Muslims [Hey, don't jump to conclusions! Ed.] have been released.

Further reading:

UPDATE ADDED 27/9/20: This story has complete disappeared from the mojo wire overnight. How can that be? Is it possible that the lamestream media are not doing any follow-ups for fear that the assailants may turn out to be Mooselims? Just askin'...

Further update from AP: French authorities now say they have taken seven people into custody after the stabbing outside the former offices of Charlie Hebdo, including the suspected assailant. And... wait for it... they have described the incident as an Islamic extremist attack!

According to the French Interior Minister, the suspected assailant in Friday's stabbing had been arrested a month ago for carrying a screwdriver but for some reason was not on police radar for Islamic radicalization. The suspect arrived in France three years ago as an unaccompanied minor, apparently from Pakistan, but, the minister said, his identity iss still being verified. Might be one of those rare Pakistani Christians, you know!

"Allahu akbar!" in Paris... again...

The policewoman thoughtfully picking her nose [Just scratching, maybe? Ed.] is on the scene of what French prosecutors now call a "terror-related" knife attack yesterday, in the Paris suburb of Villejuif. (Translates as "Jewville" or "Jewtown".) The assailant killed one man and seriously wounded two other people in Hautes-Bruyères park before being shot by the flics.

At first the authorities tried the same spin that was used so effectively in the Toronto Danforth "incident" over a year ago, claiming that the attacker, whom they would not identify, was mentally deranged, and that his motive was unknown. Today, however, Inspector Clouseau said investigations over the past few hours revealed that the assailant had been "radicalized" and had prepared the attack as part of a "terrorist undertaking".

Notice that they refused to utter such words as "Muslim" or "Islamic". They didn't have to. The jig was up, so to speak, when local prosecutor Laure Beccuau said the 22-year-old man shouted "Allahu akbar!" -- "God is great!" in Arabic -- not once but several times during the attack.

In a completely unrelated story, official statistics released this week showed that Seine-Saint-Denis, to the north of Paris, is the third biggest département (a regional administrative division) of France, by population. It is also the poorest. And the site of one of the worst ghettos anywhere in the country.

Historically, Seine-Saint-Denis was not always so poor, and its largest city, Saint-Denis, used to be the place where Kings were crowned. That was a long time ago. Since then, it has been hit by mass immigration, economic crisis and a succession of Communist local governments. The flood of immigrants, mostly from the Muslim countries of north and central Africa, led to the building of "cités" -- cheap and large building complexes meant to house poor workers, and, later, severely impoverished populations outside of Paris. Cultural integration issues and economic crisis brought more poverty, and with it crime.

Police and firemen don't enter these cités any more, because it's too dangerous for them. Gangsters operate drug traffic there, using young men as their eyes and ears, sellers and henchmen. Those guys are uneducated, violent and will throw rocks or other projectiles at police and fire dpt vehicles if they breach territory. Media types with pale complexions enter the cités only to report the nasty news: rival gangs fighting, the occasional shooting, gang rape, and, of course, acts of Islamic terrorism.

"Société sans père, société sans repère" - 600,000 demonstrate vs artificial reproduction, in vitro fertilization

"Société sans père, société sans repère!" ("Society without father, society without landmark!") That was the slogan chanted by 600,000 demonstrators in Paris last Sunday. They took to the streets to protest against proposed government (read: taxpayer) funding of "medically assisted procreation" -- sperm donation and in vitro fertilization -- for lesbian couples and single women.

Largely ignored by the centre-left government of Emmanuel Macros (which is responsible for the proposal), as well as the lamestream media in France and North America, the protesters marched past the French Senate, bearing signs expressing the old-fashioned notion that every child should be born to a mother and a father. Their signs and placards featured such slogans as "Where is my dad?", "Liberty, Equality, Paternity" (a play on "Liberty, Equality, Fraternity", the national motto -- geddit?), and "Everyone needs a father."

The leaders of the mainstream Catholic Church were absented themselves from the demonstration -- too busy worshipping Mother Earth in Amazonia, no doubt -- but a large number of traditional Catholic, rightist and populist groups took part, including La Manif Pour Tous, Alliance Vita, les Associations Familiales Catholiques, and le Comité Protestant Évangélique pour la Dignité Humaine. Polilticians from Marine Le Pen's Parti National were also present, along with a few from the Republicans.

Last month, the lower house of the French parliament approved a draft bioethics law which would allow lesbian and single women to conceive children with medical help. The bill must now be approved by the Senate, before it can be passed. As French law stands now, only heterosexual couples who have been married or living together for more than two years have the right to access procedures such as in vitro fertilisation, artificial insemination or sperm donation. M Macron's government, pandering to the LGBTQ+++ lobby, wants to extend this right to all wimmin. [What about men who "identify as women"? Ed.]

The organizers of the protest, dubbed "Marchons Enfants" contend that the parliamentary debates were "ignored" and "despised". Ludovine Dutheil de La Rochère, president of La Manif Pour Tous, said that in the face of failed attempts to discuss the ethics, rather than economics, of the measure, the only way to be heard was to take to the streets.

Thus the gathering of well over half a million to protest "the manufacture of children voluntarily deprived of fathers", "submission to ultra-liberal capitalism judging the dignity of a person only at its economic value", and "the weakening of the family fabric and therefore the whole society."

VIDEO: "Allahu akbar!" encore à Paris - 4 policiers tués

First, the story the way the Clinton News Network told it at 1216 EDT today.

Four police employees were killed in a knife attack at Paris police headquarters on Thursday, according to city prosecutor Remy Heitz.
The three policemen and a female police administrative worker were killed by a fellow member of staff, who was later shot dead, authorities told CNN.
The incident took place inside the building, which is located near Notre Dame Cathedral on the Île de la Cité in central Paris.
One victim is undergoing surgery, said French Interior Minister Christophe Castaner. He did not elaborate on the victim's condition or injuries.
Castaner said the assailant was a 45-year-old man and had been an employee at the police station since 2003. There is no indication of a motive yet.

What M Castaner actually said, in a hastily-called presser, was that the attacker "n'avait jamais présenté de difficultés comportementales" ("had never shown any behavioural difficulties") or "le moindre signe d'alerte" ("the least warning sign").

But wait... there's more. Here's a brief clip from BFM-TV.

For those who don't speak the language of Molière, the newsreader said investigators told reporters they are exploring the possibility of a personal conflict, and anti-terrorism prosecutors were following the dossier. Why? Because the attacker (now dead of lead poisoning) had converted to Islam 18 months ago. For the moment, she said, it is not known if there is any connection between the man's new-found religion and the attack. But Inspector Clouseau is working on it. Allahu akbar!? Voyons!

UPDATE ADDED 5/10/19: Suspicions confirmed! Jean-François Richard, the Paris prosecutor in charge of the investigation, told the press today that the perpetrator of the deadly knife attack "had likely contacts with members of the Salafist movement."

Salafism is a fundamentalist branch of Islam that has become tied to violent extremism through jihadist attacks and groups like Al-Qaeda and ISIS which adhere to its belief that Islam has strayed from its roots and must return to traditionalist teachings and practices. Such as? Well, the killing of "infidels", for one!

MAYDAY, MAYDAY! Yellow vests +++ - Everybody's against Macron!

Hail, hail, the anti-Macron gang was all there! Populist "yellow vests" joined "black bloc" anarchists (aka "antifa"), members of the Front National, feminist activists and anti-climate change marchers, all joined the traditional union-organized May Day demonstrations in a show of solidarity against French president and darling of the progressive one-worlders, Emmanuel Macron.

Protests were held in 203 cities across France, drawing some 165,000 angry people. The main demonstration in Paris is said to have involved anywhere from 30,000 to 50,000 in sometimes violent clashes with 7400 police and soldiers. There were clashes in the Montparnasse district of Paris where hundreds of anti-capitalist "black bloc" activists pushed to the front of the crowd. Bottles and other projectiles were reported to have been hurled at police with a parked police van set alight in the street. France's Minister of the Interior (the one responsible for what we call "homeland security") had warned that up to 2000 "radical activists" might try to hijack the Paris event and team up with "radicalized" protesters from within the yellow vest movement. (Not a word about "radicalized" followers of the Prophet though.)

The gendarmerie and other minions made liberal use (pun intended) of tear gas and rubber-pellet-spreading "sting" grenades in an effort to quell the minority of troublemakers who threw stones, overturned cars and erected flaming barricades in the streets. By early evening, authorities had detained more than 250 demonstrators who had "failed to respect our authoritie!", and carried out almost 13,000 "preventive searches" of people and cars. The show of strength comes on the heels of a recently enacted law that gives police the right to stop people and examine their bags and vehicles, and makes it a criminal offence for protesters to conceal their faces. (Muslims exempted, apparently.)

Last Thursday, M Macron took to the télé to make a surprise admission that the yellow vest movement, which began last November as a reaction to a new fuel tax and service cuts, had made some "just demands" and tapped into legitimate feelings of "anger and impatience for change." In response to their protests, he promised income tax cuts, a return to pension indexing, greater proportional representation and more referendums. Leaders of the gilets jaunes derided the plan of le Président as "too little, too late" and returned to the streets last Saturday, and again today.

VIDEO: More on the meaning of the Notre Dame fire

This for all the non-Catholics out there who can't understand why Walt and others are making such a big fuss about the partial destructionby fire of the cathedral of Notre Dame de Paris. In "Notre Dame in flames: part of the Great Chastisement?" (WWW 16/4/19) I saw the tragedy as evidence of God's displeasure with the modern Roman Catholic Church. A similar view was expressed by Michael Matt in "Notre Dame will rise again!" (WWW 17/4/19).

But Notre Dame was... still is... much more than a house of worship for Christians. The building itself embodies and symbolizes the history and culture of European civilization, for the history of Christianity is the history of Europe and the entire Western world. That stone truth is discussed in this video by Bill Whittle and the men of Right Angle. As far as I know, none of the 3 is Catholic is Catholic, and that's just the point.

Notre Dame is immensely important as a symbol of Western civilization. If it is not rebuilt, or if it is "modified" to make it "more modern" and "inclusive" -- say by putting an Islamic crescent at the top of a new spire -- that would represent the finality of the decline of the West. Now is the time to resurrect not just the cathedral but of the ideas and values that informed the building of the cathedral. God save Notre Dame... and God save us Christians!

VIDEO: Notre Dame will rise again!

As a follow-up to yesterday's post on the tragic fire at Notre Dame de Paris, we are pleased to share this short (4:22) video from the good folks at the Remnant newspaper. This video uses happier images from Remnant tours to pay homage to Our Lady's cathedral, which yesterday was engulfed in flames so completely that many thought she would surely burn to the ground. Evidently, Our Lady had other ideas.

Michael Matt, editor of the Remnant, notes that the "butcher block" table altar was crushed beneath the weight of the falling spire, while the old high altar, now disused, stood virtually untouched. In my post, I interpreted the fire as an act of God, evidence of God's displeasure with the modern iteration of the Roman Catholic Church. In the accompanying text, Mr Matt writes: "If you're looking for a sign, look no further.... If Notre Dame in flames was a metaphor for the modern Church in flames, is the promise to rebuild not also a metaphor for what's to come, as the Novus Ordo breathes its last?

"The Godless world looked on in horror as one of Catholicism's most important symbols went up in smoke and, incredibly, they wept. Why? Could it be that the Catholic Faith, also in flames, is nevertheless still something modern men instinctively know the world cannot live without, even though so many have abandoned it? Notre Dame still stands today as she's stood for nearly a thousand years. And as long as she continues to stand with her glorious angels, craggy old gargoyles and magnificent flying buttresses there to remind the world of what we once were and what we can become again if we turn back to God — there’s hope."

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us.

Notre Dame in flames: part of the Great Chastisement?

One of the most famous Roman Catholic cathedrals in Paris -- in the world, really -- has been severely damaged by a horrendous fire which raged through the building most of yesterday. The blaze toppled the spire and destroyed the roof, but much of the interior survived and the structure remains intact. That so much of the building was destroyed is a tragedy. That so much, including the organ and almost all of the priceless treasures and relics -- including the Crown of Thorns -- can be restored, is a miracle.

A tragedy and a miracle, occurring simultaneously, at one of the most holy sites of Western Christendom. How can that be? What does it mean? Is God trying to tell us something?

For traditional Catholics, this truly awful (in the true sense of the word) event, occurring as it did in Holy Week, the last week of Lent, can only be regarded as a clear sign of God's displeasure with His Church and His people. The mainstream Catholic Church in France is moribund. The great cathedrals and basilicas are visited almost exclusively by tourists. The parish churches are all but empty. The vast majority of nominal Catholics go to church only to for baptisms, marriages and funerals, an many ignore even those sacraments. The majority of Catholic Christians, even if they keep the Faith in their hearts, have turned their back on the Church.

God is displeased, to put it mildly, so He and His Blessed Mother (after whom the great cathedral is named) have given us yet another warning. The fire at Notre Dame can and should be seen as another installment of the Great Chastisement of which Our Lady spoke when She appeared at Fatima in 1917.

On October 13, 1917, in the moment before the great Miracle of the Sun, the Blessed Virgin said, "People must amend their lives and ask pardon for their sins. They must not offend Our Lord any more for He is already too much offended." Our Lady warned of the gravest consequences if this warning is not heeded. The greatest consequence and ultimate chastisement for unrepentant souls is the eternal punishment of hell. It was in order to prevent the eternal damnation of souls redeemed by the Blood of Our Divine Savior Jesus Christ that His Most Holy Mother came to Fatima.

But the Blessed Virgin's request that people "amend their lives and ask pardon for their sins" was not heeded. Our Lady of Fatima told Blessed Jacinta that "wars are punishments for sins of the world." It was revealed to the holy priest Père Lamy that World War One was a punishment specifically for “blasphemy, the desecration of marriage and Sunday labour". In the apparition of July 13, 1917, Our Lady warned that "The war is going to end; but if people do not cease offending God, a worse one will break out during the reign of Pius XI." And so it -- World War II -- came to pass.

But we must remember that World War II was only the beginning of the threatened chastisements. If people do not repent and amend their lives then more severe chastisements will follow. The threatened punishment of the world "by means of war, famine, persecutions of the Church and of the Holy Father" is a far more general prophetic warning that has only been partially fulfilled. Whether or not it will take place is contingent on the fulfillment or non-fulfillment of Our Lady's requests.

Our Lady revealed to Sister Lucia the sign that would indicate the onset of the impending chastisement. “When you see a night illumined by an unknown light, know that this is the great sign given you by God that He is going to punish the world for its crimes, by means of war, famine, persecutions of the Church and of the Holy Father." An "unknown light like this one, perhaps?

But the physical chastisement of which Our Lady warned -- the endless wars and natural disasters bringing about the "annihilation of nations" -- is not the most frightful aspect of the chastisement foretold in the Secret of Fatima. Even more frightful is the spiritual chastisement foretold in the Secret.

The persecution of the Church that will take place will be like none other that has ever taken place in all the history of the world. That which is seemingly impossible will take place, yet it is foretold in the unpublished part of the Third Secret and in Sacred Scripture. According to the late Cardinal Mario Luigi Ciappi, "In the Third Secret it is foretold, among other things, that the great apostasy in the Church will begin at the top."

We have been warned that partisans of the Devil will occupy the Roman Curia under a Masonic antipope! The late Father Malachi Martin stated that he read the Third Secret of Fatima in early February 1960. Our Lady's words, he said, foretold a future "pope" -- an imposter who would usurp the See of Rome while being completely under the control of the Devil. Thus will arise a counterfeit "Catholic" Church -- a counter-church, an anti-church -- the "dragon, whose tail swept down a third of the stars of Heaven and cast them to the earth" (Apocalypse 12:4) -- i.e. one third of the Catholic hierarchy under the leadership of a heretical antipope.

Father Martin said these "partisans of the devil" -- the "third of the stars of Heaven" -- masquerading as "Catholic" clergy are secret members of a sect consecrated to the Devil. They will gain control over the Vatican apparatus, he warned, and establish the "Catholic" branch of the established and compulsory religion of the New World Order. True Catholicism will be outlawed, and the remnant of faithful Catholics will be subjected to the most ferocious persecution that there will have ever been in the history of the world.

Father Paul Kramer wrote that Catholics will not be welcome in the new "Civilization of Love". The exclusivism of their dogmas will cause them to be viewed as dangerous "fanatics" and "terrorists" -- a mortal threat to the ecumenical unity and "peace" of the New World Order. Thus, the real Catholic Church will be treated as an outlaw organization, and a threat to world peace.

The Church's status will therefore be as it was during the Roman persecutions, when She was viewed as a subversive and criminal organization. There will be laws enacted to punish non-conformist practitioners of "outmoded" pre-conciliar forms of religion that threaten world "peace"’ (the neo-pagan ecumenical order of the Civilization of Love) by their divisive attachment to dogmatic exclusivism which leads to inquisitional "persecutions" and religious wars and crusades. Sounds familiar, doesn't it? And yet these anti-Catholic sentiments were already "trending" decades ago.

Catholics will be told that they may avoid the chastisement, with its persecution and martyrdom, by embracing "Catholicism v.2", by "engaging" with the "new and improved" Church, the "new Rome" which will be in communion with the Great Ecumenical Church that will unite all religions. Pope Francis increasingly reveals to wondering Catholics his Big Idea -- Drawing All Faiths Together, because "we all worship the same god" (which is heresy). Drawing All Faiths Together... DAFT!

Father Kramer concludes that those who will have the grace and fortitude to hold fast to their Catholic Faith will refuse to abandon the true traditional Catholic religion. For this refusal they will be regarded as incorrigible fanatics and obstinate schismatics. They will be universally despised as the enemies of the Civilization of Love, and they will be blamed for the failure of the New World Order to achieve universal peace, love, unity and harmony. Their fate is depicted in the vision of the Third Secret: for their refusal to embrace the false religion of ecumenism and religious liberty, the Pope, clergy and Catholic faithful will be systematically hunted down and brutally exterminated.

In 2000, Pope John Paul II declared that "the message of Fatima imposes an obligation on the Church." In view of the incalculably catastrophic consequences of non-compliance with Heaven's request, Bishop Rudolf Graber declared that to ignore the message and the requests of Our Lady of Fatima is tantamount to a "crime against humanity."

The desecration of Catholic churches and sanctuaries by pagan worship and the mingling of the true religion with false religions is the signal that the chastisement will take place in the immediate future.
The desecration of the sanctuary, of God's Holy Place -- by turning it into a mere tourist attraction, for instance -- is a sacrilegious and blasphemous act of impiety that demands immediate punishment in strict justice.

The real lesson to be taken from the fire at Notre Dame de Paris is that God cannot be patient any longer in the presence of the sacrilegious abominations that are now being perpetrated in Catholic churches and sanctuaries. It is for just this kind of sin that He declares: "Therefore I also will deal with them in My wrath: My eye shall not spare them, neither will I show mercy...nor will I have pity: I will requite their way upon their head." (Ezechiel 8:18, 9:10)

Macron calls out army to quell Yellow Vests demonstration

Walt is watching the French (and other European media) this weekend for news of what could be a bloody clash between the French army and "yellow vests" ("gilet jaunes") protesters on the Champs-Élysées, expected in a couple of hours, at sundown. Wussy French President Emmanuel Macron has issued a directive banning protests from the most famous main street in the world, but just in case the yellow vests ignore it, he has ordered soldiers to be deployed. Some reports indicate they are being told to avoid protesters, while others indicate they have been given permission to open fire.

The soldiers have reportedly been redeployed from anti-terror Operation Sentinel duties, and are expected to be placed around government buildings and other sensitive areas, but communication about their exact role has been poor, according to Le Point. The military deployment, which follows renewed violence last Saturday, has been slammed by many, including Les Republicains senator Bruno Retailleau, who labelled it a "fatal decision".

We shall see. Meanwhile, click here to find out "What the 'Yellow Vests' want for France" (WWW 10/12/18.) It may be good for us too!

Eurabia news roundup - latest on the yellow vests

Walt didn't spend a lot of time this weekend thinking, let alone worrying about the latest examples of the Islamization of Europe and the revolt of white Christians against it. But I won't leave you without a quick summary of what happened, since WWW may be the only place where you'll see the truth.

The death toll from the Strasbourg Christmas market shooting rose to five -- six if you count the Islamic terrorist, Cherif Chekatt, who was shot dead by French police after a two-day manhunt which led to his discovery not far from the scene of the atrocity. In an interview with state-run broadcaster France-2, the Algerian man's father said his son subscribed to the beliefs of the Islamic State (ISIS). Abdelkrim Chekatt said he tried to talk his son out of doing anything, but kids, what're ya gonna do...

Meanwhile, police in Paris said they were optimistic that the gilets jaunes (= yellow vests) protests were waning, since only 5000 or so demonstrators turned out for the festivities on Saturday. Police used water cannon, batons and tear gas to deal with the demonstrators. 168 people were arrested on Saturday alone. One was not arrested because he was dead.

Ahead of more protests expected the weekend before Christmas, French security forces are preparing to smother the centre of Paris with a "last resort" chemical weapon -- a debilitating powder which can be spread across an area the size of six football fields in just ten seconds. That Emperor Macron the First [and last! Ed.] is contemplating chemical warfare against its own citizens highlights the increasing desperation of his government as it faces up to a law and order crisis which is rapidly turning into a rightist revolution.

Meanwhile (again) yellow vests protests intensified in the Netherlands and Belgium. In Brussels, over 5000 of sprouts wearing the iconic apparel were met with water cannon and tear gas as they marched against the UN migration pact signed last week in Marrakech, which they fear could lead to an increase in immigration. (Duh!). The rightist N-VA party, the largest member of Belgium's ruling coalition, left the Belgian government last Sunday in protest against the prime minister's decision to sign the agreement.

The president of the youth wing of the Flemish nationalist party, Vlaams Belang, told the meeja that people should have been consulted before Belgium signed up to the deal. "It's been approved apparently, but the opinion of the people was never asked." A spokesthingy for the nationalist youth organisation Schild en Vrienden, said the protesters wanted to "raise our voice against the Marrakech pact. We think the decision was not made in a democratic way, with a minority in government and a minority of the Belgian people," he said. "That's what we are protesting against."

For those who don't read Flemish, the signs the protesters are carrying read "First OUR people". Nice sentiment, that.

Footnote: Even in Toronto, the poster city for the benefits of multiculturalism, Canucks weary of diversity are starting to raise their voices against unprecedented levels of immigration. A couple of hundred yellow-vested protesters got together in front of city hall for a scuffle with a like number, also clad in yellow vests, who turned up to support the migration pact, which Junior Trudeau has approved on behalf of sheeplike Canadians. As reported here on December 8th, similar protests were held earlier this month in Calgary and Edmonton, but the opinions of red-neck westerners don't count with Mr Socks.

"Yellow vest" protests spread to Belgium, Netherlands... even Canada!

As is well known, the dream of every Frenchman [and Frenchwoman! Ed.] is to pay no taxes. Thus the plan of the government of Emmanuel Macron to raise the tax on fuel sparked a wave of protests which started a month ago and continued today in Paris and other French cities. The protesters have adopted dayglo yellow safety jackets as their uniform. Today some 125,000 "gilets jaunes" (= yellow vests) took to the streets to rally against the fuel tax, the high cost of living, and... wait for it... Emperor [President, shurely! Ed.] Macron himself. Here's a video clip.

In Paris today, 1000s of police used armored vehicles, tear gas and water cannons to "contain" demonstrators numbering over 10,000, by the estimate of the Ministry of the Interior. Some protesters set fire to cars and smashed windows. Interior Minister Christophe Castaner said 1385 people had been arrested across the country. 17 law enforcement officers and just over 100 protesters suffered injuries.

Is this really just about having to pay a few cents more in taxes on gasoline? Mais non! The protests took place despite the government announcement on Wednesday that the fuel tax hike would be "suspended until furter notice". (Governments never admit they made a mistake, eh.) The demonstrators who turned out today broadened their list of grievances to include high living costs and economic reforms proposed by M Macron, which are seen to benefit business rather than workers.

And then there's the little matter of immigration, and how much more Islamization France can take before ceasing to be France. The big picture is that the majority of French citizens are sick, sore and tired of being governed by liberal elitist one-worlders. Speaking after today's protests had ended, Prime Minister Edouard Philippe said the time had come for a dialogue "to knit our national unity back together." He added that the Emperor [President! I won't tell you again! Ed.] would address the protests and their grievances "next week."

Readers in other countries may be thinking, "Hey, we have problems with our government too! When are we gonna get up on our hind feet? If the cheese-eating surrender monkeys can do it, we can too!" And so it has come to pass. The yellow vest movement has now spread across the globe. There were protests today in Belgium, France and... wait for it... even peaceful and polite Canada!

In the western Canadian province of Alberta, which holds oil in even higher regard than do Texans, there is huge resentment over the plans of the federal government (Junior Trudeau, Prop.) and the socialist provincial government to impose a carbon tax, in the interests of saving the world from climate change of course. There's also the anti-immigrant sentiment which Albertans share with their fellow citizens from coast to coast to coast.

Yellow vest protesters braved the sub-zero weather in Edmonton and Calgary today to let their governments know what they think about these insane liberal policies. (Not that their governments give a shit, of course.) The protests were free from physical violence, but the demonstrators spoke pretty plainly (for Canadians).

In Calgary, Allison Prentice told the CBC, "We are Canadian, we're not anywhere close to that kind of radical. I'm proud to be here and represent people who care about Canadians first." Others chanted "No Trudeau. No Trudeau!" outside of city hall. Some yelled "String him up!" Others yelled "traitor." Through a megaphone, one speaker said, "They hate our country and they hate our way of life," without specifying who "they" are. He didn't have to. Canadians know who their enemies are. Do you?

UPDATED: Encore une fois: "Allahu akbar" à Paris

Just when Parisians thought it was safe to go out again -- in downtown Paris, if not in the suburban no-go zones -- another Muslim madman went on a rampage in the classy 2e Arrondissement on Saturday, knifing at least five innocent civilians, one of whom has died. For reasons of political correctness, the flics (= cops, for American readers) confirmed that there had been a knife attack in the city without giving any details.

A spokesthingy for the Paris prefecture told the meeja "A person attacked five people in the second district of Paris. Police intervened immediately. The individual [attacker] died. Another person, seriously injured (by the attacker) died from their injuries." The suspect has yet to be identified, he said, and the motive for the attack remains unclear.

That's the official story as of 2300, Paris time. Why, then, am I saying the attacker was a Muslim madman? I could have said "Islamic extremist". Makes no difference. European authorities don't like to use any of those words until after the dust has settled and the blood has been cleaned off the streets. Mustn't say anything that would engender Islamophobia, you know! (The fact that the Islamist jihadis are out to kill us, one by one, doesn't matter.) I will bet you that when the details leak out, my characterization of the attacker will prove to be correct. Lifetime pct .976.

UPDATE ADDED 13/5/18: Sure enough. As details of yesterday's attack leak out, witnesses reported hearing the man shouting "Allahu akbar!" The phrase is Arabic for "God is great!", and has become a battle cry for Islamic terrorist jihadis. And sure enough, ISIS claimed the attacker was one of its fighters. Lifetime pct .978.

Although ISIS provided no evidence or details about his identity, French police filled in the blanks. According to an official who asked to remain anonymous for fear of being punished for political incorrectness, the assailant was born in the largely Muslim Russian republic of Chechnya, and had for years been on police radar for "radicalism". According to the same source, Islamic extremists behind multiple attacks in France in recent years were also on radical watch lists.

So... French police and "security watchdogs" know who these Muslim madmen are and where they are, but are unable to do anything to stop them from bringing the jihad against us "infidels" into the hearts of our cities. I say, if we can't deport them all (because they are legion), could we not at least stop letting more of them into our countries? Just askin'.

FOOTNOTE ADDED 13/8/18: For those who can't quite place Chechnya, it's in the deep south of Russia, wedged in between the Caspian Sea and the Black Sea, just northeast of Georgia. Nooo... the other Georgia! Militant Islamists have been fighting for decades to break the tiny semi-autonomous republic away from Russia.

Some "refugees" from the fighting have settled in France, but others have come to the USA. The Boston Marathon bombers, Tamerlan Tsarnaev and Dzokhar Tsarnaev, entered the United States with their father on tourist visas, and immediately claimed political asylum. Whether they were asylum-seekers or "refugees" doesn't really make any difference to the victims of their horrendous attack.

Your Islamic terrorists today - latest attacks

Islamic terrorism is now everyday news. Really. Just scroll through the news headlines and I guarantee you, you'll find at least one "incident", somewhere in the world, every day. To be more than a below-the-fold news item, the attack must (a) occur in the USA, the UK or Canada or (b) have a double-digit number of victims.

Earlier this week, in what French Minister of the Interior Gérard Collomb called an "attempted attack" [sic] a car deliberately hit a police van before bursting into flames on the Avenue des Champs-Élysées in central Paris. The driver, who was on a security watchlist, died in the incident. Police found a Kalashnikov rifle, handguns and gas bottles in the car. French police have refused to disclose the identity, ethnicity or religion of the attacker (although they know full well who he was), saying only that he was a resident of a Paris suburb. In some Paris suburbs, Muslim immigrants from North Africa make up a majority of the population. Importance to the lamestream media: none (nobody dead or injured other than the attacker).

On June 20th, a suspect was "neutralized" (= shot dead) at the central railway station in Brussels, Belgium, after a failed bombing that Belgian authorities called a terrorist attack. Inspector Hercules Poirot said a small explosion went off in the transportation hub around 2030 local time. Soldiers on patrol at the station shot the man dead as he ran toward them shouting, "Allahu Akbar!" Again, no-one other than the attacker was killed or injured. The Belgian Prosecutor's Office initially declined to identify him or say if he was known to authorities, but other sources said he was Oussama Zariouh, a Moroccan. Importance to the lamestream media: none (no victims + where's Belgium?)

Today, a huge suicide car bomb exploded outside a bank in Afghanistan's southern Helmand province, targeting Afghan troops and government employees waiting to collect their salaries ahead of a major Muslim holiday. At least 29 Muslims, mostly civilians, were killed by other Muslims, probably Taliban. Another 60 (and counting) were wounded. Importance to the lamestream media: medium (lots of casualties but no Westerners + no-one cares about Afghanistan)

Now we come to the big news...

Yesterday, around 0945 EDT, in Flint MI, a crazed attacker yelling... wait for it... "Allahu akbar!" attacked a policeman, Lieutenant Jeff Neville, stabbing him in the neck with a foot-long knife. Lt. Neville is in serious condition in hospital, but expected to recover. An FBI spokesthingy identified the perp as Amor Ftouhi, a resident of Montréal, Canada. Mr Ftouhi, who was subdued and taken into custody, crossed into the USA legally at Lake Champlain NY on June 16th. Why he went to Flint is unknown. The FBI guy told the press, "He made a statement something to the effect of, 'You have killed people in Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan and we are all going to die.'"

At a media scrum in Ottawa yesterday afternoon, Canadian Public Security Minister Ralph Goodale condemned the "heinous and cowardly attack" and said the RCMP are co-operating with the FBI, which is leading the investigation. Minister Wiggum had nothing to say about Mr Ftouhi's citizenship, ethnicity, religion or his status in Canada, but his FB page says he's originally from Tunisia.

Importance to lamestream media: medium (no-one killed but hey, a Merkan was attacked + possible to blame Canada's lax immigration and security "systems")

UPDATED: Your Islamic terrorists today

Just a few days ago Walt lamented that "incidents" (not "incidences") of Islamic terrorism are becoming a daily occurrence. For the last couple of days I've been commenting on the London killings, but between Saturday and this morning there have been a couple of other attacks, which I report just to show that you're not safe in any Western city. There could be a Muslim fanatic in your neighbourhood... yes, yours... right now. Watch yourself, eh.

A Toronto woman appeared in court this morning, charged after a suspect masked with an ISIS bandana -- or maybe it was a hijab or niqab -- allegedly swung a golf club at employees of one of Canada's ubiquitous Canadian Tire stores, while screaming "Allahu akbar!" This happened on Saturday afternoon (EDT), at the same time the Islamic terrorist rampage was unfolding on London Bridge.

The woman was restrained by several employees [Using the handyman's secret weapon, duct tape? Ed.] who allegedly found a knife on her. Ms Rehab Dughmosh, 32, is facing seven charges including two counts of assault with a weapon, two counts of possession of a weapon, threaten death or bodily harm, and carrying a concealed weapon. If convicted she will doubtless be sent to a rehab clinic.

UPDATE: The drawing above appeared a few minutes ago on the CTV Toronto website. CTV, which is almost as politically correct as the state-owned CBC, never uses the word "Islamic" or any variant when talking about terror attacks. In their version of this story, the suspect is not named. Instead, they say "A court list posted at College Park courthouse Monday indicates that a suspect with the same name as the woman arrested will appear in court today." Cryptic, eh! But notice that their drawing shows a woman (?) in a hijab -- OK, two women in hijabs -- not an "ISIS bandana". One of the women may be Rehab Dughmosh. Or maybe not.

Also today, around 1630 local time, an assailant -- unidentified so far, for reasons of political correctness -- attacked police with a hammer outside Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris. The French Interior Minister (responsible for police, security and keeping an eye on Muslims) says the attacker cried "It's for Syria" as he went after officers patrolling an esplanade in front of the famous landmark. Why he would have yelled in English is unclear.

The attacker was shot and wounded in the incident. One flic was wounded. The Interior Minister said police found kitchen knives, a hammer and other unsophisticated weapons on the wounded assailant. The investigation into the matter is being led by Inspector Jacques Clouseau, who formerly handled a serious case involving a busker and his muenkey.

"Allahu akbar!" again... ENOUGH ALREADY!

Paris this time, right on the Champs-Élysées. And just in time for the first round of voting in the French presidential election. If this latest "incident" -- one cop killed, two injured -- doesn't push Marine Le Pen into first place, I don't know what will.

As first reports came in yesterday afternoon, the lamestream media and France's pinkish outgoing president were being careful, as usual, to avoid using the word "Islamic", in spite of an almost immediate claim of responsibility by ISIS. Once the identity of the perp -- killed by the police in the firefight -- was confirmed, apologists for Islamic terrorism were quick to point out that 39-year-old Karim Cheurfi was a French citizen. A veil [a niqab? Ed.] was drawn over M Cheurfi's ethnic origin, place of birth and religious beliefs.

Today, Inspector Clouseau confirmed that the Islamic terrorist -- for such was he -- was detained just last February for threatening police, but then freed for "lack of evidence". He was also convicted in 2003 of attempted homicide in the shootings of... wait for it... two police officers. Hmm. Maybe he wasn't an Islamist, just a cop-hater. Or both. Whatever he was, he isn't any longer. Police shot and killed M Cheurfi after he opened fire on a police van. Inside his car, the flics found some knives and a pump-action shotgun.

The terrorist attack brought to the fore the recurrent campaign theme of France's fight against Islamic extremism, one of the mainstays of the anti-immigration platform of Front National leader Marine Le Pen, who redoubled her appeal to the French to "vote for civilization". Speaking at her campaign headquarters, Mme Le Pen called for a firmer hand against Islamic extremism and promised get-tough measures if elected. Right now, she said, the outgoing Socialist government must re-establish border controls. In reply, the Socialist prime minister accused the FN leader of seeking to politicize the assault. Amazing.

"Allahu akbar!" - Islamic terrorist killed at Paris airport

With five weeks to go before the first round of voting in France's presidential election, the candidacy of Front National leader Marine Le Pen gets a boost from yet another Islamic terrorist attack. Security forces at Paris's Orly airport shot dead a man who had seized a soldier's gun, soon after the same man shot and wounded a police officer during a routine traffic check in Stains, north of the city.

Bruno le Roux, the Minister of the Interior, told the meeja the man was "known to police and intelligence services", but couldn't bring himself to use words like "Muslim" or "Islamic" or "terrorist". Later, though, a police source described the perp as a "radicalized Muslim", but did not identify him by name. Walt predicts that the Islamic terrorist's first and/or last name will be "Mohammed" or "Mahmoud". Lifetime pct .986.

A spokesthingy for the interior ministry told Reuters, "The man succeeded in seizing the weapon of a soldier. He was quickly neutralized by the security forces." ("Neutralized" is French newspeak for "killed".) No-one else was injured.

The airport was evacuated and security forces swept the area for bombs to make sure the dead man was not wearing an explosive belt, but nothing was found. Flights were suspended from both terminals of the airport and some flights were diverted to Charles de Gaulle airport north of the capital. The anti-terrorism prosecutor opened an investigation.

France remains on high alert after attacks by ISIS militants killed scores of people in the last two years. Coordinated bombings and shootings in Paris in November 2015 killed 130 people. A state of emergency is in place until at least the end of July. Marine Le Pen wants to put an end to the Islamization of France. If anyone wants to wager that she will not top the polls in the first round of the presidential election, Walt will take a piece of that. E-mail your bet to the usual address.
