UPDATED: Agent 10 approves this meme

Agent 10 is a member of the Cuban diaspora. She says this meme isn't funny, but is a hard truth which people should know about. The Cuban people are waiting for President Trump (and Secretary Rubio) to do something -- anything -- to help bring about regime change, so the Cuban people may live!

UPDATE ADDED at 1715 FMT - This just in from Breitbart News

Canadian Companies Fear Major Losses if Cuban Communist Regime Falls

Cuban Deputy Foreign Minister Carlos Fernandez de Cossio Dominguez on Friday sought to convince Canada to prop up the fading Communist regime in Havana, arguing that Canadian companies could lose billions from nullified contracts if the regime falls.

De Cossio praised Cuba’s “important trade relations” with Canada and the hefty investments Canadian companies have made in Cuba. "Despite the fact that we do not have a coincidence in all the political and international positions, we have always known how to solve our problems, our differences, and work with them based on dialogue and based on mutual respect," he said.

The Cuban official blamed America’s energy blockade for starving Cuba of the fuel it needs for "everything from energy for hospitals, for homes, for education, for industry, for the production of food, for agriculture, for transportation, for medical care, for the livelihoods of people."

De Cossio claimed Cuba’s infamous nationwide blackouts are "not a result of Cuban inefficiency, not as the result of Cuba mismanagement of the electrical grid, but because the United States is depriving Cuba of fuel."

De Cossio, formerly Cuba’s ambassador to Canada, was responding to Ottawa warning Canadian firms away from making new investments in Cuba last week, due to the island’s "ongoing liquidity crisis" and the collapse of its power grid.

The back story no-one talks about is that Blackie McBlackface (aka Justin Trudeau), former prime minister of Canuckstan is widely believed to be the love child of Fidel Castro and the hare-brained Margaret Trudeau (wife of Emperor Trudeau I), the same one who, back in the day, was photographed sans panties in front of Studio 54 in NYC. This being a family publication, we refrain from posting the photo but you can find it by Googling "Margaret Trudeau Studio 54.

Time to build more pipelines from Canada to USA!

Want cheaper gas? You gotta have cheap, reliable oil. Where ya gonna get it?

Hey, Canada has cheap oil. Too bad it's way up there in the Great No-longer-white North. Too bad a decade of misgovernment by the Liberal government of Prime Minister Blackie McBlackface (featuring cabinet members such as Climate Barbie and nutty Steve Guilbeault) focused on keeping the oil in the ground. Seriously, that was there avowed policy and they stuck to it.

American politicians are just as much to blame. One of the first things Demented Joe Biden did after he stole the 2020 election was to reaffirm the Obama kibosh on the Keystone XL project which was going to allow billions of gallons of crude to be shipped from Alberta to Texas, on demand.

Then there was Michigan governor Gretchen Whitmer, who actually sued Enbridge because she was afraid their Line 5, which transports up to 540,000 barrels per day of light crude oil and natural gas liquids from Superior WI to Sarnia ON, crossing the Straits of Mackinac, might spring a leak.

It's that kind of climate alarmism, not to mention 1000s of pages of regulations and 1000s of miles of red tape, that keeps energy companies from going to full-out to provide Americans and Canadians with the oil and gas we need. Next time you're asked to vote, be guided by this photo -- not AI-generated -- of how some people coped with a previous shortage of the fuel that makes us go.

VIDEO: Shiny Pony doesn't matter any more

If you pay attention to the entertainment news (as opposed to real news), you may have noticed that Blackie McBlackface, former Prime Minister of All Canuckistan, was invited to deliver a speech on "soft power" at last week's New World Order gabfest in Davos. He either was accompanied by or (more likely) accompanied Katy Perry, who apparently is a celebrity -- something that Shiny Pony is no longer.

Unlike the speeches given by President Trump and Canuck PM Marx Carnage, video and transcripts of Junior's speech are less than prominent in the meeja. The reason could be that he did nothing other than repeat the usual liberal platitudes. [At least he didn't lead a chorus of "Kumbaya"! Ed.] Or it could be that no-one bothered to record whatever he said. Here's why.

Be that as it may, Walt's Canadian readers have some questions.

Who invited Trudeau fils to Davos... and why? After all, he's no longer emperor, prime minister or even governor of the Great No-longer-white North. If he wasn't on the arm of Katy Perry, he'd be nobody!

Who paid for his trip? Did he get to fly in the Canadian Air Force Cessna with Mr Carnage? Did the WEF gang put him up in a VIP suite? And again... why?

And finally, how does Katy Perry feel about "soft power"? Most women prefer... errr... something a little bit harder... don't they?

Ed. just found this video clip of Rebel News' Ezra Levant daring to ask questions like that, right there in the streets of Davos. What kind of answer do you suppose he gets?

Not surprised, were you?

Canada's "new" WEF-backed Prime Minister

Walt was in Canada over the weekend for the coronation of Mark Canada as successor to Blackie McBlackface as leader of the Liberal Party of Canada, and therefore as Prime Minister of Canada.

That's the way the parliamentary system works. If you lead the government party, you're the Prime Minister, regardless of the fact that you've never been elected to anything. A safe seat in the House of Commons can be opened up for you later. Worked (twice!) for William Lyon Mackenzie King, who "loved his mother like anything / kept her tied up with a piece of string" (very old skipping rhyme).

The Canadian Broadcorping Castration, the state-owned broadcaster, wasted nearly three hours of listeners' (Sid & Doris Bonkers, of Dildo NL) time with a series of talking heads trying unsuccessfully to create an air of suspense, followed by a 45-minute history of Canada recited by former Prime Minister Jean Chrétien, who was there for most of it.

Then the final result of the leadership "contest" was announced. Mr Carney garnered a mere 85% of the votes cast by the party faithful. He promised to do better next time, his goal being to get 99%, as they do in socialist democracies. It wasn't a surprise. Everyone knew that the former Governor of the Bank of Canada and Bank of England (successively) had the puck nailed to his stick by his friends in the global elite.

Mr Carney then attempted to deliver a "fighting speech", without revealing when the fight would start. His oration, part of which was delivered in halting French, consisted of platitudes and hockey metaphors -- "Elbows up!" -- but was devoid of any substance, such as a plan to get Canada out of the trade war.

There was no indication that Mr Carney intends to do anything other than stay the course with the globalist-environmentalist agenda outlined in his (?) book, Value(s) [sic], published in 2021, which has been praised by liberal, one-world eco-wienies across Canada and the European Disunion. One of them is seen here driving Mr Carney (in an EV, no doubt) to a meeting of the rulers of the New World Order.

One contrarian is terrified, not thrilled, by Mr Carney's agenda for Canada. That would be Dr Jordan Peterson, who, the day before the coronation, wrote "Mark Carney doesn't value a prosperous Canada", National Post, 8/3/25. Subtitle: "This would-be planetary saviour has no respect for free markets." It's a long article, worth reading in its entirety, but these excerpts will give you the gist of it. Dr Peterson's words are in purple, and those of Mr Carney (quotes from his book) are in bright Democrat blue. Any emphasis is Walt's.

It is most definitely the case — and this is a fundamental conservative or even classic liberal conviction — that free societies and markets operate within a broader framework of values. In the West, for better or worse (and certainly for comparative better) that framework is Judeo-Christian, religious and cultural in its essence — a framework that has established the principles of "self-evidence" referred to so famously by the authors and signatories of the American Declaration of Independence.

These include the propositions that all people have intrinsic worth, made as they are in the image of God; that each person owes all others the due that such worth necessitates, including the responsibility to trade in goods, ideas, cooperation and competition, honestly and fairly, and with an eye to mutual success; and that all of us, our leaders included (and perhaps first and foremost) must pay obeisance to what is truly transcendent and divine.

This is the framework that Carney purports to replace, even though it is not clear that he understands this, or that he has developed any understanding whatsoever of the culture he wants to reshape from first principles.

What are his suggestions, regarding such replacement? This is where the rubber hits the road or, more accurately, where the train flies off the track ... Carney betrays his alliance with the worst particularized ideas of the last twenty or thirty years, and the even worse generally radical intellectual presumptions of the last century.

“Our goal has been to put in place the information, tools and markets so that every financial decision takes climate change into account — to create a financial system in which a company’s contributions to climate change and climate solution are fundamental determinants of its value. So that value reflects values.

"At COP26 in Glasgow, we delivered twenty-four major reforms to transform the information, tools and markets at the heart of finance. These include climate stress testing, net-zero transition plans and clear, comparable and decision-useful climate disclosure so that financial markets can manage risks and seize opportunities in the climate transition."

The consortium has stated that there "must be an average 28 per cent reduction in the number of flights across C40 cities." How might that be enforced? No more flights for the ordinary person (an overstatement: the C40 nature-worshippers will allow the peasants one short-haul flight every three years). They also mention "reducing and eventually nearly eliminating the need for car ownership."

Ever wonder where the electricity for your soon-to-be mandatory electric car will come from, given the woeful inadequacy in that regard of the current grid, and the impossibility of rectifying that, before gasoline and diesel-powered vehicles are banned? No matter! There is no reason to presume, as you have so far, that you are entitled to a vehicle of your very own. Problem solved!

And even if you are one of the fortunate few with a car — serious limitations will be imposed on the number of miles your peasant hide is allowed to travel, with equally serious restraints on velocity and road access.

Make no mistake about it, people. Those who promise, like Carney, to save the planet, while waving evidence of its forthcoming demise over your heads like the sword of Damocles, will use the purported seriousness of the crisis to rule over every conceivable aspect of your life — for the moral reasons of “value” that cannot be properly computed, in Carney’s estimation, by the flawed free market system.

A radical decrease in the availability of meat and dairy — preferably a complete turn to a plant and even perhaps insect-based diet, as mused by the WEF. Three new articles of clothing a year, maximum.

There is virtually no bad idea recently promoted by the top-down globalists (as alluded to earlier) that Carney has not championed — worse; not merely championed, as an acolyte or ally, as in the case of the hapless narcissist he is attempting to replace, our very own Justin Trudeau.

Trudeau was little more than a globalist shill, shiny and attractive though he may have been. Carney is no such mean thing; no mere WEF infiltrator. He is instead a veritable globalist author, master-planner and leader, as he says (insists upon) himself:

Value(s) is, in truth, one of the shallowest books I have ever read, and I have read many, both shallow and deep. It contains no original ideas whatsoever, while the ideas it does contain, however few in number they may admittedly be, are literally the worst that have been formulated by the worst of thinkers in the last few generations; even in the last century or two.

Mark Carney has failed, therefore — and dismally; spectacularly — in his attempts as a thinker, as well as an international leader. His practical multinational ventures have been recently revealed as the empty vessels they most truly are.

In closing, a warning to Canadians, hoodwinked into believing that Carney’s much-vaunted international experience makes him capable; makes him someone able, even less convincingly, to stand up to our erratic American compatriots to the south. Mark Carney, formerly of the Bank of England, has the patina of foreign-bestowed competence. In truth, however, he is a man with all the flaws of Trudeau, and that’s saying something.

However, in his admitted networking, managerial and administrative prowess he presents far more danger. Our hapless previous Dear Leader was at least hamstrung in his pretension by his incompetence. Carney is as addled in his values as his predecessor, but much more efficient and unwavering in his implementation.

If you don’t want Canada to be a self-immolating martyr-state, subject to the whims of an economic order increasingly dominated by the coal-burning titans of India, China and the rest of the BRICS; if you don’t want your every move and every decision evaluated by the top-down tyrants of the new global order — then you bloody well better think twice about who you are going to vote for when push comes to shove for Canadians in the next six months.

Whatever Canada’s values might be, they best not be the shibboleths of false virtue, intellectual pretension, and well-camouflaged oh-so-virtuous totalizing tyranny put forth by the newly coronated dear leader of the appalling Liberal party.

Walt's prophecy of Emperor Trudeau III

1. In the year 1968 a plague was ravaging the land the Indians called Ka-na-ta, their word for "cold and dismal". The God-fearing, hardworking and docile people, whose totem was the industrious beaver, had been infected by the Hippie Virus, emanating from the Land of the Free, and had given themselves over to lassitude and hedonism. They wore strange clothing, ingested strange substances, and behaved in manners unacceptable to the great god Mammon.

2. By the grace of Business, whose great temples remain still on the Street which is called Bay, Ka-na-ta was ruled by the Natural Governing Party, which was called Liberal. Its great chief, at the time, was a feeble elder who was called "Mike", because his real name was "Lester", which the political rainmakers thought sounded less than manly.

3. So behold, a writ was issued by the chief rainmaker, summoning all Liberals to the village of Oddawa, that a new leader might be chosen. Let him be "cool", they said, that he might appeal to the sufferers from the Hippie Virus, and epitomize the counter-culture which they had embraced.

4. The leading contender for the leadership of the NGP, anointed by the Bankers and captains of Business, was a man named Winters, which sounded cool enough as it echoed down the canyons of Bay Street. But the scribes of the Red Star pronounced him "yesterday's man". A new generation was needed, they said, and his star was rising in the East.

5. And lo, there came from the province of Québec, whose tetrarch was John the Wise, three Wise Men (called "doves" in their own language), named Jean, Gérard and Pierre. The youngest of these, but also the wisest (so it was said) was Pierre, who was called Trudeau, which, in his language, meant "waterhole", or something like that.

6. Pierre met with the assembled Liberal chefs in April of 1968, and prate unto them, "It's spring!" So old man Winters slunk away, and Pierre took Mike's place on the throne of power, at the age of 48. There he sat there for over eleven years.

7. But before long, the people of Ka-na-ta began to speculate that Pierre, being unmarried and heirless as he approached his 50th birthday, might be a "homo", which, in those days, was their word for "gay".

8. Thus Pierre took unto himself a wife, a flower-child named Margaret, who, on Christmas Day of 1971, bore a son, of whom Pierre claimed to be the father. They called him "Justin", meaning "He who is the issue of Pierre, certainly not of Fidel or Mick Jagger".

9. Another seven years passed by. The people of Ka-na-ta grew tired of Pierre and, in the summer of 1979, put in his place a man known as Joe Who. Whereupon Pierre declared that the Liberal Party was no longer worthy of him, and retired.

10. The following winter, when the people seemed likely to plunge their daggers into Joe Who's front, as well as his back, Pierre took a walk in the snow, and had a change of mind, if not of heart. He spake to the people thus, "If you miss me already as much as you ought, I am prepared to come back."

11. And so he did, ruling for another four years, after which the people rose up and said to him, "We have been burdened with taxes and liberal ideology, and did we mention taxes, long enough. Go, already!" And so he did.

12. The Natural Governing Party wandered in and out of the wilderness for the next three decades, give or take, under four successive but not overly successful leaders, ending with the prodigal son known as Iggy (although his name was Michael), who led the race to the bottom in the spring of 2011.

13. Then the Business people looked down from the towers of Bay Street and saw that their Liberals were at risk of losing Natural Governing status; wherefore they bestirred themselves to search diligently amongst the bullrushes to find a new Michael, or better, a new Moses, who could lead the party back into power.

14. Lo and behold, the Red Star shone upon Justin, now 39 years of age and therefore sufficiently dry behind the eyes to take command, for did he not verily represent yet another new generation.

15. So it came to pass that Justin Pierre James Trudeau was crowned leader of the Liberal Party of Canada in 2013, and Prime Minister of Ka-na-ta, in 2015. He immediately set out to complete his father's work, to transform Ka-na-ta, once also known as the Great White North, into Canuckistan, now known as Something Else Entirely.

16. It took the Canuckistanis only three years to realize that they had made a Great Mistake in following yet another charismatic leader, and should not drink more of his KoolAid. But until 2022, in the eighth year of the reign of Trudeau II, they were mesmerized by Trudeau's sparkling eyes, nice hair, and other Red Star qualities.

17. Only now have the people awakened from their slumber and determined to rid themselves of their latter-day Neo. Alas for them, they have not yet had the opportunity so to do.

18. But the day is coming. Knowing that, the powers behind the Red Throne are searching for a new puppet, but not searching too hard for they know the next leader will be nought but a sacrificial lamb.

19. The minions of Mammon are clever. They know that it may take a decade or longer before they can pull the wool back over the eyes of the hapless Canucks. Thus their real quest is for someone who can take up the cause in the year 2035.

20. Step forward, then, Xavier James Trudeau, son of Justin and grandson of Pierre-Elliott, born on the 18th day of October, 2007. This fall, Xavier will be old enough to vote, and old enough to be elected. By 2035 he will be 28, the youngest-ever Emperor of All Canuckistan -- EmperorTrudeau III. So let it be written, say the Mammonites, so let it be done. Selah!

CORRECTION: Trudeau did NOT resign

Although you couldn't see it for fog, the sun rose this morning, as usual, over Cape Spear NL, the most easterly point in the People's Republic of Canuckistan -- Justin Trudeau, prop.

Yes, Virginia, yesterday's smarmy and self-serving speech notwithstanding, Blackie McBlackface is still Prime Minister of the Great No-longer-white North. If a document -- e.g. an immigrant visa for an Islamic terrorist or a cheque to the President of Rumbabwe -- requires his signature, he'll still be there at Rideau Cottage.

"But," you may ask, "didn't Elon Musk say 'Trump won, Trudeau resigned!'?" Indeed he did, but he was only half-right.

Desperate to get rid of Little Potato, hopeful Canucks didn't listen carefully to his words of farewell. What he actually said was, "I intend to resign as party leader [and] as prime minister, after the party selects its next leader through a robust, nationwide, competitive process."

Geddit? Not "I am resigning today" but "I intend to resign...after..." Future tense throughout. The Right Honourable Justin Trudeau is still Prime Minister of All Canuckistan, and there's not a damn thing any of you frostbacks can do about it.

To ensure that corruption business will be carried on as usual until such time as he actually resigns, Junior took the precaution of asking the compliant Governor-General (whom he appointed), to prorogue (read: suspend) Parliament until March 24th, at which time a new session will begin. Until then, there will be no annoying questions asked or challenges made to the supremacy of M Trudeau, his Liberal Party, and the liberal elites who run what is left of Canada.

The Big Question to be answered is: who will replace the Greatest Narcissistic Procrastinator in Canadian history. Walt will now give you the morning line and predict the likely result of the race nobody wants to win. Early entries are:

Mark Carney, former Governor of the Bank of Canada and, more recently, the Bank of England. Born with a silver sppon in his mouth, educated at private schools, member of the Toronto liberal elite. Has the backing of Big Business and (especially) the Big Banks, since he's "one of us". Like former Liberal Leader Michael "Iggy" Ignatieff, but without the charm. Vulnerable to the sasme attack ad: "He didn't come back for you!"

Chrystia Freeland, rebarbatvie former journalist whose farewell party at the Groan and Wail was held in a phone booth. Most recently Finance Minister and Deputy Prime Minister (an office not recognized in Canada's constitution) until she quit last year when told she was about to be demoted. Another resident of Toronto's toney Rosedale enclave. Has Ukrainian heritage but the Ukrainians never vote Liberal. Speaking style reminiscent of an Anglican missionary declaiming the Articles of Faith to a congregation of fuzzie-wuzzies. Will have the backing of the Sikh bloc as the most easily manipulable. Oh, she's a woman too, the darling of the feminists, both female and male.

Dominic LeBlanc, the latest to hold the dreaded Finance portfolio, because no-one else would take it after Ms Freeland quit. Son of a Governor-General, friend of the Trudeau family since childhood. "I've known Justin since he was a baby!" Bilingual (unlike the other two) and from New Brunswick/Nouveau Brunswick so won't upset the Québécois or the Toronto elites. Congenial (read: bibulous) and "a safe pair of hands", meaning he can be trusted to do nothing and depart gracefully following the spring election disaster.

And the winner will be... Dominic LeBlanc. Since the Gliberals face certain defeat in the election which will be called within days of the opening of the new session of Parliament, none of the other candidates will be trying too hard. They will be focusing on what happens after M LeBlanc resigns. He, however, will be happy to retire with the title of Prime Minister -- he's been everything else! -- and the pension and other perqs that go with it.

You read it here first. Walt's lifetime pct: .987.

VIDEO: Dr Jordan Peterson interviews Canadian PM-in-waiting

This video was recorded on 21 December 2024, and would have been nominated for a Wally Award, had we only known about Instead, we've already placed it on the list of possibilities for Most Important Polical Interview of 2025.

Dr Jordan Peterson sits down with the Hon. Pierre Poilievre, Canadian member of Parliament (and Prime Minister-in-waiting. They discuss his role as Leader of the Opposition, the untapped energy sector, the real reason Canadians cannot afford homes, how Chief Walking Goose (aka Justin Trudeau) has walked the country off a cliff, and what will likely happen in the run-up to the much-anticipated 2025 election.

This video has received nearly a 1.4 million views so far, and is well worth watching in full, but if you can't handle it all at once, there's a chapter index on the YouTube page.

This video has nothing to do with hockey or the weather, but we hope our Canadian readers and friends will be sufficiently motivated to get involved, and not make the same mistake they made three times already!

VIDEO: Kevin O'Leary: To save Canada, Trudeau has to go!

Our post of December 18th may have been something of an oversimplification. Canada's problems are not unrelated to unfettered mass migration from Third World shitholes, but it is not that alone that has turned the country into Canuckistan.

"It's the economy, stupid!" Under the all-seeing but uncaring eyes of Prime Minister Justin "Junior" Trudeau and his fragrant former Finance Minister, whose name escapes us, the Canadian economy is spiralling down the pipe.

The beaverbuck (referred to in that post as the "snow peso") is today worth about 69 cents in real money. Inflation has only just been wrestled down to about 2%, after being as high as 10% earlier in the year. Unemployment hovers around 7%. And now Canada faces the threat of a 25% tariff on all its exports to the US of A, if it doesn't get its act together.

What is to be done? In this video, Kevin O'Leary, a Canadian politician and businessman, investor, journalist, author, and television personality known in the USA for his appearances on Shark Tank, reacts to the firing of Chrystia Freeland -- oh yeah, that's the one whose name we forgot -- and the Trudeau Liberals' disastrous Economic Statement of December 16th.

Don'tcha love the expression on the state-owned CBC's interviewer's face? It's hard to believe the Corpse would even air this scathing denunciation of their fearless leader.

We are pleased to do our part to get this message out to our Canadian readers and friends. If you're one of them, pass it on.

Another video worth watching: "Trudeau showed 'an unfathomable level of incompetence' this week": John Ivison, National Post, 19/12/24. Can things really be "the worst since 1929"? Errr, could be!

Ding, dong, the Wicked Witch of the North is dead!

The Honourable Chrystia Freeland, the over-reaching feminist who became Finance Minister of Canuckistan, resigned from her post about 24 hours ago, citing disagreements with Prime Minister Blackie McBlackface on how to respond to incoming President Donald Trump's threat of tariffs unless the Great No-longer-white North gets its act together.

In her resignation, announced by a letter to Junior published on "X", the fragrant Ms Freeland she said the two have been "at odds about the best path forward for Canada", and pointed to the "grave challenge" posed by President Trump's policy of "aggressive economic nationalism".

30 years ago, was a lowly typist [journalist, shurely! Hal] for the Toronto Groan and Wail. She is alleged to have a degree in liberal arts and knows nothing about economics and finance. She is 4'9" tall without her pointy hat, just slightly higher than M Trudeau's belt buckle.

It is not difficult then to figure out how she rose (geddit?) to the second-highest position in Canada's Liberal government, as chosen by its avowed male feminist leader. How disappointed she must have been -- spitting mad, perhaps -- when Junior informed her last week that he no longer wanted her to be his government's top economic adviser.

As Canadians (Sid and Doris Bonkers) watched a day of considerable political turmoil, the Donald Trump was also watching the Canadian edition of The Gong Show. In a Truth Social post late last night, the President said, "The Great State of Canada is stunned as the Finance Minister resigns, or was fired, from her position by Governor Justin Trudeau. Her behavior was totally toxic, and not at all conducive to making deals which are good for the very unhappy citizens of Canada."

He ended his post with, "She will not be missed!!!" And ain't that the truth he told ya!

The day of reckoning has arrived

Yes, campers, it's time to see how good a prognosticator Walt really is. [If you didn't prognosticate in public, you wouldn't get caught near so easily. Do it in the bathroom with the door closed, likely everybody else! Ed.]

On 10 January 2023, Walt wrote: I see a bad year ahead.

The woke AABC countries and western Europe are one gigantic insane asylum, and the craziest inmates are in charge. Things will get worse unless one of the following predictions comes true.

I predict that at least one of the three following heads of government will be out of office by Christmas, as a result of resignation, revolution or death.

"Pope" Francis
Demented Joe Biden Justin
"F*ck" Trudeau

The ousting of any one of them would not necessarily make things better in their domains. In fact it would be followed by a period of instability verging on civil war, from which a better church or country might emerge.

Let's see how we did.

Francis's Church of the One World Religion, the Paranoid States of America and the Great No-longer-white North are still in business, although arguably going downhill (or down the toilet) fast.

The only thing that will save any of those institutions is a dramatic change of leadership, followed by cataclysmic changes of policy. Or, in the case of what was once the Catholic Church, a reversion to the 2000-year-old Faith of our fathers.

As for their "leaders"...

As of this morniong, Francis the Talking Pope is still in the Vatican, dreaming up new novelties [That's a redundancy. Ed.] to distract his followers from any thoughts of guilt, repentance and salvation.

Corrupt Joe Biden is hiding -- Biden is hidin' LOL -- in his basement in Delaware, trying to keep the walls constructed by The Boy from closing in and crushing him. As of this morning he is not in the Oval Office.

Justin "Fuck" Trudeau is on holiday in Jamaica, having burned tons of avgas to get there, and so contributed more to "global warming" than yer average frostback. Before he left, he emitted a substantial amount of CO2 telling the lickspittle media that everything's OK in Canada and he will never, ever quit. Never. Ever. Today, at any rate he is not in his office on Parliament Hill.

So Walt's score is 2 out of office out of 3 predicted. 2 for 3 = .667 on this one. Lifetime pct .977.

"Who asked?!", asks Canuck blogger

Let's start with the first five paragraphs of an article which appeared today in the Wall Street Journal under the headline "Canada Tests the Limits of Its Liberal Immigration Strategy

High levels of immigration made Canada the second-fastest growing developed-world economy in recent years, trailing only the U.S., as it competed to attract high-skilled workers from around the world.

Now, the newcomers are starting to strain the country’s ability to absorb them, putting at risk an important engine of the country’s growth. The country of 40 million people last year welcomed more than one million permanent and temporary immigrants, Statistics Canada said. That influx generated a population growth of 2.7%; the increase of 1.05 million people was nearly equivalent to last year’s increase in the U.S., a country with more than eight times Canada’s population.

In the next two years, Canadian officials say they will boost the number of permanent newcomers by almost a third, with most being skilled migrants such as carpenters, computer scientists and healthcare workers who qualify under a merit-based points system.

The system, touted by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s government but first developed in the 1960s, has helped drive economic growth, attract entrepreneurs and fill vacancies for skilled positions. It has been broadly supported across the Canadian political spectrum, with the goal of attracting the world’s best and brightest to Canada.

But the intake of newcomers is increasing so rapidly that analysts and newly arrived immigrants say it is adding fuel to an overheated housing market, straining a stressed healthcare system and clogging up roads in cities unaccustomed to traffic jams.

The problems listed in the fifth paragraph are there, to be sure, but the WSJ neglected to mention the greater problems of race, crime and the degradation of Canada's cities, with the Toronto and Vancouver areas now resembling Mumbai and Kingston, Jamaica in every respect but the climate.

The creator of Blazing Cat Fur (a daily read for Walt and Ed.) dipped his pen in vitriol and wrote this answer to the WSJ's blinkered analysis:

Canada is known for its embrace of immigrants? Submission to mass immigration is more like it. Romanticized views of immigration in Canada are the domain of politicians selling snake oil nowadays.

No one signed on for an inundation of incompatible cultures or to have their own government dismiss their heritage and nation as so much racist garbage. Multiculturalism was weaponized and the smear of racism was used as a bludgeon to smash dissent and ensure Canadians clapped like trained seals in approval whenever the topic of immigration was raised. Ethnic disaporas possessed of little in common with Canadian values are catered to by our political class who tolerate the intolerable for votes.

Who asked that hiring decisions be made on the basis of government ordained victim status?
Who asked that being white be considered a virtual hate crime and Canada be turned into a low trust society?
Who asked for “racialized sentencing guidelines” for criminals as if the average Joe who just wants to be left alone is somehow responsible for the alleged historic oppression of predators?

No one asked for a balkanized society where foreign ethnic conflicts spill out into our streets.
Who asked for an immigration policy that does not benefit citizens?
No one asked because it was imposed upon us and its true purpose is to benefit the corporate and political classes at our expense.

No one asked because divide and conquer works best when its victims are forbidden to talk about it until it’s too late. This so called “embrace of immigration” is better described as a choke hold.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

Dumb leaders chosen by... errr...

It is said that people get the government they deserve. How, then, to explain this?

It might be argued that the citizens of North Korea have an iron-clad excuse, in that they are not allowed to vote for their Dear Leader. But Canadians do have elections every now and then. So what's their excuse?

VIDEO: You think Brandon is incoherent and incompetent?

For those Americans and others who don't know who I mean when I write about Blackie McBlackface (pictured in yesterday's post), Prime Minister of All Canuckistan, here's a little video proving that (yes, Virginia) there is someone less capable of speaking (and thinking) clearly than Demented Joe Brandon, President of the Disunited States.

Sadly for Canada, Mr McBlackface, aka Mr Socks, is not a "looser" (should be "loser") yet. In fact, although even this comedian laughs at him (and rightly so), he is likely to be re-elected in 2025, or whenever he chooses, buoyed on the votes of 10s of 1000s of illegal immigrants who are now being sent out into the regions (Hello, Niagara Falls!) to vote Liberal at the first opportunity.

You think that can't happen? Fact: Canadian polling officials are not allowed to ask would-be voters for proof of citizenship. As long as they have a photo ID plus some scrap of paper showing a Canadian address -- even just an envelope addressed to them -- they are given a ballot. O Canada!

Thanks and a tip o' the toque to Agent 6, who speaks Spanish almost as well as he speaks French!

Trudeau to run for US Congress?

Nooooo.... It wasn't the gang at the Babylon Bee that made this up, but the normally serious editorial board of the The Wall Street Journal, who this week ran a similar headline, without the question mark. A subhead added "The Canadian Prime Minister can’t get enough of U.S. politics."

Seriously? You bet! The Emperor of Canuckistan just loves getting up on his hind feet and preaching about the issues of the day... as long as they're American issues!  If it's something Canadians care about -- health care, immigration, the price of gas -- M Trudeau is not interested. Ho-hum.

Case in point: On Sunday he made a special trip to London ON (flying for 45 minutes in a government jet, of course) to bang the drums against Islamophobia, on the first anniversary of the vehicular homicide of a Muslim family. An atrocious crime, to be sure, but were "millions upon millions" of Canadians grieving, as Mr Socks said? Noooo. The truth is that the vast majority of Canadians don't give even half a shit about Islamophobia.

The WSJ says, Mr Socks' pissing and moaning about this and other "issues" largely irrelevant to Canadians don't make any sense unless one considers the Liberals' desire to score points with an American audience, "or a Canadian audience who watches too much CNN."

Another example: Pretending that abortion "rights" are under threat in Canada. Fact is, there are no laws, federal or provincial, regarding the killing of unborn babies. No term limits, no restrictions of any kind. In Canada, it's abortion on demand. And the issue is not even debatable. Even Canada's so-called Conservative Party has made it clear that they will never introduce legislation to disrupt the status quo.

Another non-issue that has preoccupied Blackie McBlackface since the Buffalo massacre is gun control. He seems to think that more bans on guns in Canada will somehow stop mass shootings like the one in Uvalde TX, a mere 2000 miles or so from the World's Longest Undefended Border.

So he's decided to "freeze" the sale or transfer of handguns. The Uvalde shooting was committed with a long gun, but that doesn't matter. Neither does the fact that Canadian laws don't apply in Texas. Or the fact that Canada already has laws that effectively prohibit the legal purchase of handguns by almost everyone. The handguns used in the admittedly growing number of shootings in Canada are mostly smuggled in from the US of A and used by gangstas who are similarly smuggled in from other places.

Put those two concerns together, add in a couple of others (such as immigration), and you get Junior's unrelenting importation of American race and culture wars. As anyone who's lived outside the Ottawa bubble knows, the principal Canadian racial divide is the one between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Canadians. Indigenous Canadians earn significantly less, their average life expectancy is 15 years earlier and they're disproportionately the victims of unmistakably racist attacks.

Yet M Trudeau, once insensitive to anti-black racism to the point of wearing blackface at costume parties, now thinks feels that combating such racism is more important than addressing the grievances of Canada's "First Nations". Here he is, "taking a knee" for 9 minutes at a Black Lives Matter protest over the shooting of the drug-addled felon George Floyd.

That was during the summer of 2020, when Black Lives Matter protests and (let's call a spade a spade) race riots roiled the USA. Since then, Mr Socks' government has repeatedly framed Canadian race relations as being inflected by the legacies of slavery and segregation, although African slavery in Canada ended 40 years earlier than in the USA.

The Liberals have introduced into the Canuck snivel service "anti-racism training" that mentions slavery more often than Indian Residential Schools. Emperor Trudeau also never fails to weep crocodile tears in response to every major American racial incident, while overlooking any number of Canadian equivalents.

Which bring us to Liberals' latest wheeze: doing someething about an over-incarceration problem that doesn't exist. "Sentencing reform" is a big issue in the USA for the singular reason that America has more prisoners (as a percentage of the total population) than any other country. But, according to the World Prison Brief, Canada is actually near the bottom of the league table when it comes to incarceration rates, ranking 143rd in terms of its per capita rate of people in jail.

It's true that jails and prisons in western provinces are full of Indigenous people, and those in Ontario are full of black people, but there's a reason for that. As anyone who watches the nightly news on TV stations in Winnipeg and Toronto, it's because the majority of both perpetrators and victims of violent crime are POCs (persons of colour).

Nevertheless, the Trudeau government has jumped on the American sentencing reform bandwagon with Bill C-5, which would drop mandatory minimum sentences for a host of violent crimes, including robbery with a firearm, discharging a firearm with intent, and extortion with a firearm. And speaking of gun smuggling (see above), C-5 would also reduce sentencing for six charges related to weapons trafficking.

Speaking (again) of smuggling, how about Junior's allowing in 60,000 illegal border crossers (for that's what they are!) to spite President Trump! The WSJ says Canada has never really faced a major migrant crises along its southern border. In 2017, 1000s of "refugees" and "asylum-seekers" began coursing through what Ottawa would come to call "irregular" border crossings, notably the one at Roxham Road near St-Bernard-de-Lacolle QC.

The crossings emerged entirely to bypass the Safe Third Country Agreement, under which refugee claimants at the US-Canadian border are turned away on the grounds that they’re already in a safe country. The influx neatly coincided with a tweet from Mr Socks, just after President Trump was sworn in, which read "To those fleeing persecution, terror & war, Canadians will welcome you, regardless of your faith."

Did you catch that last phrase? That means "Muslims welcome!", which brings us back to where we started [and about time, too. Ed.] That tweet is easily the most-shared thing that Junior ever posted to the internet, and it was a direct response to President Trump's executive order barring entry to the USA by nationals of seven predominantly Muslim nations.

America's liberal media -- that's most of them! -- heaped praise on M Trudeau's head, and the Canadian media followed suit. Meanwhile, the back door opened wide for 1000s of inadmissible foreigners, who travelled to the USA on visitor visas for the express purpose of entering Canada illegally.

It hasn't been closed since, in spite of the election (?) of a new pro-Muslim president who quickly reversed the "anti-Muslim" executive order. "Terrorists don't need to go to Canada. You can stay right here in the USA. Don't forget to register as a Democrat!"

Did you catch the hint, two paragraphs above, that I'm out of space? There's only one way to wrap this up.

VIDEO: Europeans see through Justin Trudeau

A couple of days ago, the Rt. Hon. Justin Trudeau, by the Grace of Singh, Prime Minister of All Canuckistan, descended from the heavens [from an aging RCAF B767 actually. Ed.] to cast before the European parliament a few pearls anent the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

In a particularly fulsome pastiche of pusillanimous platitudes, Mr Socks called on the Euroweenies to stand together, stay strong, and fight valiantly to preserve liberal democracy... just as he had done the previous month when he bravely stood up to the truckers and other harborers of "unacceptable views" who besieged the world's second-coldest capital in the Freedom Convoy.

The European Union Parliament comprises 705 elected members (MEPs) from the 27 EU member states. About 1/10th of them were on hand to hear M Trudeau congratulate himself. When he finished, a number of MEPs gave him what the Brits call a bollocking for violating the truckers' civil rights -- particularly freedom of speech -- when his Liberal government invoked the Emergencies Act for the first time in history.

The gist of their remarks is that, in giving police and other authorities extraordinary powers to disrupt the  peoples' protest, Prime Minister McBlackface behaved like a dictator. Here are some choice clips.

The CBC, Canada's state-owned broadcaster, had to report the story, since some of those video clips went viral in seconds, but they made sure to bury it "below the fold", as we say in the noozbiz. And they were careful to label the MEPs who dared to vilify Himself as far-right extremists, populists, and other pejoratives up to and including "neo-Nazi".

Croatian MEP Mislav Kolakušić described the Canuck PM as someone who "tramples" on fundamental human rights and freedoms. Canada once stood for civil rights, he said, but now seems more like a "dictatorship of the worst kind."

"Under your quasi-liberal boot in recent months," he went on, "we watched how you trample women with horses, how you block the bank accounts of single parents so that they can't even pay their children's education and medicine, that they can't pay utilities, mortgages for their homes."

The CBC devoted more space to demonizing Mr Kolakušić than to his speech. "He has aligned himself with anti-vaccine voices inside and outside of the assembly," said the propagandists. And can you imagine, "Kolakušić had accused French President Emmanuel Macron of 'murdering citizens' though vaccine mandates and...claimed 'tens of thousands of' Europeans had died from vaccine side effects during the pandemic." As if we should believe such claims are ridiculous!

German MEP Christine Anderson, speaking for the Identity and Democracy parliamentary group (see below) through her party Alternativ für Deutschland (AfD), accused M Trudeau of civil rights violations during the Freedom Convoy protest, saying, "you are a disgrace for any democracy!"

She minced no words, calling Mr Socks a dictator who treats citizens as "terrorists." Another AfD MEP, Bernhard Zimniok, accused Trudeau of "trampling on democratic rights" by cracking down on people for protesting "disproportionate" public health measures.

The CBC's "report" says Alternativ für Deutschland has been "described by the BBC as a far-right political party that employs rhetoric 'tinged with Nazi overtones'." Aha, there's the "neo-Nazi" smear, but it the BBC that said it, so it must be true!

But the CBC can't resist adding a bit more salt: "A German court ruled recently that the party is 'a suspected threat to democracy' after an administrative court in Cologne found that there are 'sufficient indications of anti-constitutional goals within the AfD.'" Sounds like M Trudeau's claim that the Freedom Convoy supporters were intent on overthrowing his government, doesn't it?

The CBC then makes sure we know what kind of evil populists the members of the ID (Identity and Democracy) group are. "With 63 members from 10 countries, it is the fifth-largest group in the assembly. Identity and Democracy is made up of domestic political parties opposed to the EU. They hold far-right positions on issues like immigration, EU membership and social welfare."

Convinced now? If not, just wait, there's more liberal labelling! "The ID group includes France's Rassemblement National party, which was founded by Jean-Marie Le Pen." How about that?!

I confess that until today I hadn't heard of the ID group. It seems there are more truly conservative, truly populist politicians in the European parliament than in that of Canada, or the American Congress. But just wait. The tide is turning. Mr Socks knows it. So does President Brandon. Stay tuned!

Kelly McParland: The world thinks Justin Trudeau blew it

No, the National Post's Kelly McParland is not referring to the organ of George Soros or Gerald Butts. (Yes, Doonesbury fans, there really is a "Mr Butts" lurking behind the scenes in Canuckistan.) He's talking about Mr Socks' mismanagement of the "crisis" brought on by the Freedom Convoy in which 1000s of Canadian truckers and their supporters.

In his latest column, posted today, Mr McParland writes: Some of the world's most respected newspapers have denounced the prime minister's actions as a needless abuse of power. Each of them thinks Justin Trudeau blew it.

Best quote: "The belief that Liberalism is Canada and any criticism is unCanadian and unacceptable may be the defining quality of this government." Sounds kind of like the Dumbocratic Gang of Four (Brandon-Harris-Pelosi-Schumer), doesn't it?

While Walt recovers from a little visit to the OR, we invite you to read the column, which is much better than anything Walt could have written. Ed.

Matt Taibbi on "Justin Trudeau's Ceauşescu Moment"

When one of my favourite political writers -- the one who called Donald Trump the "insane clown president" -- likens Justin Trudeau to Nicolae Ceauşescu, the late Communist dictator of Romania, I take notice. And that's what Matt Taibbi did in his Substack blog TK News yesterday. Under the headline "Justin Trudeau's Ceauşescu Moment" is the subhead "Denouncing truckers for 'unacceptable views,' Canada's Prime Minister skipped town rather than face evidence of his own unpopularity. Is neoliberalism finally cracking?"

For those who have forgotten, Nicolae Ceauşescu was President of Romania from 1974 to 1989. His second decade was characterized by an increasingly erratic personality cult, nationalism and a deterioration in foreign relations with the Western powers as well as the Soviet Union. In December of 1989, in the face of something like the Canadian truckers' freedom rally in the city of Timișoara, the Communists gathered a rent-a-mob in Bucharest to show their presumed support for the régime. Then this happened.

For three minutes (2:45 to 5:45) the crowd shouts insults and deprecations at the President. (I don't understaned Romanian, so am not sure if the F-word was used or not.) Mr Ceauşescu offers the people a generous bribe -- a 10% increase in the minimum wage -- to be quiet and cease their opposition. And he urges them to rise up to defend Romania against the intervention of "foreign agents".

"Better to die in battle, in full glory than to once again be slaves upon your ancient ground, and we must fight to live free and independent!" Someone in the crowd responds, "He's right. Let's rush the stage!"

Even if you don't understand Romanian, you can hear that at about the 8-minute mark of this video (the second part of his speech) people are starting to shout back at the Communist dictator. Just before the clip ends, you can see him waving his hands in gestures that clearly say "no, no, no! I don't want to hear that!" After this speech he ran away, but was caught and was executed four days later, still wearing the same clothes.

I would be surprised if Blackie McBlackface knew anything about the Communist tyrant's fall from power, but he has smart people pulling his strings, who certainly advised him that it was better to go to ground -- an "undisclosed location" in the Laurentians? -- rather than risk a similar confrontation with Canadians who were already waving "Fuck Trudeau!" flags on Parliament Hill.

That's Matt Taibbi's point. For neoliberalism or  "liberal democracy", the bloom is off the rose. The real people (as distinguished from the liberal elites who rule Ottawa, Washington, Paris and London) are fed up. But, just like Ceaușescu, the rulers don't want to admit or even hear that. Mr Taibbi writes:

There may be no real-world comparison between a blood-soaked monster like Ceaușescu and a bumbling ball-scratcher like Joe Biden [I love that phrase!], or an honorarium-gobbling technocrat like Hillary Clinton [that one too!], or a Handsome Dan investment banker like Emmanuel Macron, or an effete pseudo-intellectual like Justin Trudeau.

Still, the ongoing inability of these leaders to see the math of populist uprisings absolutely recalls that infamous scene in Bucharest. From Brexit to the election of Donald Trump to, now, the descent of thousands of Canadian truckers upon the capital city of Ottawa to confront Trudeau, a consistent theme has been the refusal to admit — not even to us, but to themselves — the numerical truth of what they’re dealing with.

Trudeau is becoming the ultimate example. Truckers last month began protesting a January 22nd rule that required the production of vaccine passports before crossing the U.S.-Canadian border. Canadian truckers are reportedly 90% vaccinated, above the country’s 78% total, a key detail that’s been brazenly ignored by media in both countries determined to depict these more as “anti-vax” than “anti-mandate” protests (which seem to be about many things at once, but that’s another story).

When an angry convoy descended upon the capital, Trudeau dismissed them in a soliloquy that can only be described as inspired political arson: The small fringe minority of people who are on their way to Ottawa, who are holding unacceptable views that they are expressing, do not represent the views of Canadians…who know that following the science and stepping up to protect each other is the best way to ensure our rights, our freedoms, our values as a country.

A near-exact repeat of the “basket of deplorables” episode, Trudeau’s imperious description of “unacceptable” views instantly became a rallying cry, with people across the country lining the streets to cheer truckers while self-identifying as the “small fringe minority.” Everyone from high school kids to farmers and teachers and random marchers carrying jerrycans of fuel joined in as Trudeau’s own words were used to massively accelerate his troubles.

I'm tempted to copy and paste the rest of Mr Taibbi's article but imagine I'd hear from his lawyers. Suffice to say that he has hit the liberal nail right on its pointy head. The people are speaking. Will the liberal elites listen? They'd better, lest they wind up like Mr Ceaușescu.

VIDEO: Tucker Carlson calls out Canada's Trudeau

Hey, it's Groundhog Day... again! Reports are that Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow, as did Shubenacadie Sam, so Pennsylvania and Nova Scotia are in for six more weeks of winter. But in the second-coldest national capital in the world [meaning Ottawa, Canada. Ed.], 1000s of people -- the truckers and others gathered in the Freedom Convoy -- are hoping for an early spring.

What would that look like? An end to vaccine mandates. Opening up of bars, restaurants, gyms, and sports venues. Freedom for frostbacks to go where they want, when they want, without having to show their papers to the Mounties! Maybe even the resignation of Prime Minister Blackie McBlackface!!

Walt wouldn't bet on that last one. The big question on the ice-encrusted lips of fed-up Canucks today is whether Mr Socks will see his shadow when... if... he emerges from his self-imposed isolation ("My kids and I have Covid!") at an "undisclosed location", rumoured to be a set in the Toronto headquarters of the CBC.

Will M Trudeau be recognized when he appears? Tucker Carlson says, in this video, that he is a master of disguise. He could be out there right now, posing as a reasonable, freedom-loving Canadian, rather than the tin-pot dictator that he is.

Thanks to Agent 6 for sending us the link. In spite of being triple-UNvaccinated, 6 is still UNinfected! Stay well, dear friend.

Footnote: The first casualty of Canadians' wrath looks like being Cuckservative leader Erin O'Toole, who should be toast by noon local time, today.
