Germans -- real Aryan Germans -- are bitterly divided over the wave of sexual assaults, thefts and other crimes which rocked central Köln (Cologne) on New Year’s Eve. In spite of over-whelming evidence that the majority of the perps were Muslim immigrants and "refugees" from the Middle East and North Africa, there are still many guilt-ridden Krauts who defend Chancellor Merkel's "Willkommenskultur" policy of welcoming the migrants with open arms.
Growing numbers of protesters have taken to the streets of Köln and other German cities to demand that criminal foreigners be deported (und schnell!), and that bogus refugees and other scum be prevented from entering the Fatherland in the first place. But other crowds of "anti-racists" and "human rights activists" insist on blaming the police or the victims!
As Walt told you on Wednesday, Herr Inspektor Katzenjammer, after some politically correct hemming and hawing, admitted that the perpetrators were of "Arab or North African origin". In one report, police quoted a man as saying, "I’m a Syrian! You have to treat me kindly! Mrs. Merkel invited me."
By today, at least 106 women had come forward to file criminal complaints of sexual assault and robbery during the New Year’s Eve festivities. That includes two reported rapes. Police initially failed to mention the assaults in their presser the following morning, describing the festivities as "largely peaceful"!
Witnesses told a different story. German media quoted dozens of women who said they were followed by groups of men who groped them, tried to pull off their clothes and stole valuables. One victim told BBC News, "They grabbed our arms, pushed our clothes away, and tried to get between our legs or I don’t know where!"
Der Spiegel quotes an unidentified senior official of Germany’s national police as reporting a "chaotic and shameful" evening in which a lack of officers at the scene meant those there "reached the limits of their abilities pretty quickly.... Women, accompanied or not, literally ran a gauntlet through masses of heavily intoxicated men that words cannot describe." [Said he, using words to describe the scene. Ed.]
Authorities have, however, described the men as being largely of “Arab or North African origin.” According to the report, at least one officer quoted a man as saying: “I’m a Syrian! You have to treat me kindly! Mrs. Merkel invited me.”
Tobias Plate, a spokesthingy for the Ministry of the Interior, told reporters today that federal police have identified 18 out of 31 suspects as asylum-seekers. The suspects included 9 Algerians, 8 Moroccans, 5 Iranians, 4 Syrians, 2 Germans, and one person each from Iraq, Serbia and (wait for it) the USA. Yes, he said, most of the men detained were North African, but investigators had yet to "prove with concrete evidence" that they were actually involved, and people should not jump to conclusions! Some konfusie op die stasie, surely!
Thorsten Craemer, of the Bürgerbewegung PRO NRW political party, declared, "This is where Merkel’s irresponsible immigration policy will lead us. There will be battles for resources, confrontations far worse than what we’ve experienced on New Year’s Eve."
And what does Chancellor Merkel say? Yesterday she said she didn't think the New Year’s Eve events were isolated cases, and that they must be dealt with swiftly and firmly. She said she feared that the incidents showed contempt for women. Well, DUH! "We have to send out clear signals to those who are not willing to observe our laws," said Dr. Merkel. "We must examine again and again whether we have already done what is necessary in terms of...deportations from Germany in order to send clear signals to those who are not prepared to abide by our legal order."
Perhaps Chancellor Merkel should consider some advice offered yesterday by Donald Trump, who raised the issue on Twitter. "Germany is going through massive attacks to its people by the migrants allowed to enter the country," he wrote. "New Years Eve was a disaster. THINK!"
