Your Singhs today: "We're not gangstas; we're refugees!"

Walt resents suggestions that he thinks all Sikhs are actual or potential criminals and detriments to Canadian society. There are good people and bad people in every ethnic group, and of course there are good Sikhs trying to make better lives for themselves in Canada and the USA than they good have had back home in "Khalistan".

Sikhs can be not just the perpetrators but victims of brown crime. This coming Sunday, three Canadian Sikh organizations will hold a town hall meeting in Surrey BC to discuss "Indian transnational repression and extortion", which they say has reached "crisis level". In a poster promoting the event, the organizers say "Families, businesses, and community members are facing intimidation, threats, and violence that no Canadian should ever experience."

Who are the criminals terrorizing Sikhs, you might ask. The answer is, other Indians of a different religious persuasion... or none at all. Over a year ago, the RCMP warned that Indian government agents -- including diplomatic and consular officials -- were involved in "serious criminal activity in Canada", including extortion. But, in spite of the Liberal government's push to mend fences with India, the latter refuses to acknowledge its alleged role in violent crimes, never mind promising to stop.

Investigations into the extortions of  "South Asian" business owners in BC's Lower Mainland, Brampton ON and Edmonton AB, have led to several arrests and charges. Indian crime groups such as the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which Canada listed as a terrorist group in September, have been demanding exorbitant payoffs from business owners and others. After threatening victims by phone, gang leaders in India will then send local foot soldiers to conduct arsons and shootings to pressure them to pay up. 

The obvious way to put a stop to the criminality in the Indo-Canadian community [sic] would be to deport the criminals. But there's a small problem -- Canada's ridiculously liberal policies on asylum-seekers and "refugees".

Last September, the British Columbia government formed an extortion task force, led by the Mounties and immigration officers, to tackle "organized-crime activity involved in extortion-related threats." It is led by the RCMP and composed of police and immigration officers. As of last week, the Canadian Border Services Agency had opened 96 investigations into foreigners identified by the task force. Then this happened.

Here's the problem in graphic form.  11 of the ciminals were found to be in "non-compliance" -- not in Canada legally -- and were issued removal orders. Surprisingly, 5 of those were actually deported. 14 other individuals who attracted attention from the task force were referred to the Refugee Protection Division of the Immigration and Refugee Board, which stops the deportation process dead. 

Their cases are now on hold until the IRB decides what to do with them. A spokesthingy for the IRB told Canada's Global TV News he would not comment further on the matter. Nor would he respond when asked if all were citizens of India. 

The vice-chair of immigration at the Canadian Bar Association’s BC branch, whose name is Amandeep Hayer (no relation), said the suspects' alleged involvement in crime could still be raised during their refugee hearings, and the IRB could... maybe... possibly... reject their claims for asylum on the grounds they are inadmissible to Canada for criminality.

Meanwhile, according to Vancouver immigration lawyer Richard Kurland, the "suspects" have succeeded in delaying their deportations for years. Mr Kurland blamed a backlog of refugee cases, "because Ottawa refuses to resource the IRB to provide expeditious hearings to prevent four-year waits. They just bought four years in Canada, with subsidized health. If they want to go to school, that’s subsidized, and if they need public assistance, that's subsidized by the taxpayer."

O Cana-duh!

Walt reveals reason for cancellation of Montréal Pride Parade

Queer story out of Montréal this afternoon, and I mean "queer" in two senses of the word. Pride Montréal abruptly cancelled its iconic annual parade hours before it was to get underway this morning. (The photo is allegedly from a previous year's parade.)

The official reason for the sudden cancellation (can you say that without lisping?) is security concerns stemming from a lack of volunteers for the event. Festival Executive Director Simon Gamache said the march, which was to cap days of celebration of LGBTQ2S++ (and so forth) communities would not have been able to proceed safely.

"We were missing more than 80 people this morning, it's a lot," he told the meeja, adding the absentees represented more than a third of the number needed for the parade to go ahead. 

Montréal Mayor Valérie Plante said on Sunday she was shocked to learn of the cancellation, which she called it "completely unacceptable". She professed to be taken by surprise, and claimed to have no idea what the problem could have been.

M. Gamache, however, said this year's Pride festival fell prey to the kind of "human resource issues" currently plaguing numerous sectors in Québec and across Canada. He also said several cases of Covid were reported among the volunteers, in addition to heatstroke and heavy fatigue, which made them "just so tired!"

Walt's National Sports (as long as it's hockey) Editor, Poor Len Canayen, has good contacts in Montréal, and has uncovered the real story behind the cancellation. According to Len, the public health authorities contacted the parade organizers on Saturday, and warned them that the parade could be a super-spreader event, for which they would be held accountable.

Super-spreader of what? Why, monkeypox of course! Montréal is the epicentre of the outbreak in Canada, and is also home to 100s of African queers who are claiming asylum in Canada because homosexuality is illegal in their homelands. 

Of course no-one is going to say that publicly because to do would be to acknowledge that some 95% of the victims of the loathsome disease are fudge-packers, and it's not politically correct to suggest that there's anything wrong with deviant sexual practices, especially when practised by BIPOCs. Such views are completely and totally unacceptable in Trudeau's Canuckistan.

Canuck pols rush to condemn attack on Toronto-area mosque

Canada's state propaganda agency ["broadcaster", shurely! Ed.] was quick to post a lengthy tut-tut when Statistics Canada reported recently that the number of hate crimes reported to police across Canuckistan went up 37% in the first year of the Covid "crisis" compared with the previous year. 

Police-reported hate crimes targeting race or ethnicity rose 80% in 2020 compared with 2019. Of course, the CBC opines, the real numbers much be must higher. since such crimes are horribly under-reported. Besides, it is well known that white Canadians are incorrigible racists.

Statscan says reported hate crimes targeting East or Southeast Asian people went up 301%, those targeting black people went up 92%, those against Indigenous people went up 152%; and those against South Asian people went up 47%. 

Statistics on hate crimes categorized by religion were not given, but incidents of anti-Semitic and Islamophobic crimes, such as the spray-painting of hateful graffiti on schools and "places of worship", have been much in the news lately, especially in the "Greater" Toronto Area.

The latest such incident occurred Saturday morning in the GTA bedroom community of Mississauga ON, when a man walked into a mosque and attacked worshippers with a hatchet and, errr, bear spray.

Speaking on behalf of the mosque, Nadia Hasan of the National Council of Canadian Muslims said a group of about 20 men were in the middle of a dawn prayer when the attack happened."Some of the men turned around and they very bravely decided that they were not going to let him attack them," she said, "so they tackled him to the ground and apprehended him until the police showed up."

Inspector Knacker of the Peel Regional Police said some congregants at the mosque received minor injuries from the bear spray. People were shaken up but are recovering, Ms Hasan said, "but for the most part, folks are still processing what’s happened and are trying to kind of see how they can ensure that their communities remain secure."

Canadian politicians of all parties, from all levels, were quick to signal their tolerance and virtue on Twitter. Ontario Premier Doug Ford said his "heart goes out to the Dar Al-Tawheed Islamic Centre community who were attacked this morning. There is NO place in our province for such evil and hateful acts. We must ensure those responsible are brought to justice."

Mississauga Mayor Bonnie Crombie said she was "shocked and angered" by the assault. "This unprovoked attack on a place of worship is absolutely unacceptable and I strongly condemn it." The leader of Ontario's far-left "New" Democratic Party, Andrea Horwath, said "in response to an evil, violent act of Islamophobic hate, the Dar Al-Tawheed Islamic Centre community acted courageously to keep folks safe. We all stand with them."

Ontario Liberal leader Steven Del Duca said she was "appalled by this frightening attack in Mississauga." Then, quick to score a political point, he tweeted, "This is why @nccm’s #OurLondonFamilyAct to take meaningful action against Islamophobia is so important. Ontario Liberals continue to stand with the Muslim community against all acts of hate." 

Toronto Mayor Jello Tory said he was "shocked to hear about the violent attack" on the congregants of the mosque. :We stand with the Muslim community in Mississauga, Toronto and across Canada in the wake of this assault." He said any violence against the Muslim community or any community in a place of worship is "totally unacceptable. Our work to make sure everyone can pray in peace without fear, threats or violence must continue."

It should be noted that all these pols are all white, native-born Canadians, who, if not practising Christians, are not members of other "faith communities". The same may be said of Canuckistan's Prime Minister, Just In Trudeau, if you look underneath the blackface makeup. 

Mr Socks was one of the first to raise the flag of virtue, calling the attack "incredibly disturbing. I strongly condemn this violence — which has no place in Canada — and I'm keeping the community in my thoughts today," he tweeted. "I also want to applaud the courage of those who were there this morning."

Imagine his embarrassment, and that of all those who assumed that the attacker was a whitey, like those responsible for attacks on Muslims in Québec City and New Zealand, when the cops announced late yesterday that the perp was 24-year-old Mohammad Moiz Omar. 

He has been charged with assault with a weapon, administering a noxious substance with intent to endanger life or cause bodily harm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, uttering a threat to cause death or bodily harm, carrying a concealed weapon, and mischief to religious property. Apparently no "hate crime" charges have been laid. 

Mr Omar's ethicity and immigration status have not been disclosed, but it can safely be assumed he is a follower of the Prophet whose name he bears. The question is: what kind of Muslim is he? Is he Shia or Shiite or a member of some other branch of the "religion of peace"? 

From here it looks like the Muslim civil wars, still raging in the Middle East, have been brought to Canada by some of the "refugees" the politicians welcomed with open arms. Is anyone surprised?

VIDEO: A Muslima's thoughts about Islam, immigration and multicult

Please allow me, dear reader, to present some excerpts from a book written by a Muslim lady who now lives in the Paranoid States of America. I'll give you the title and the author's name later.

When massive immigration began in Holland, which wasn't until the 1980s, there was a sense among the Dutch that society should behave with decency and understanding toward these people and accept their differences and beliefs. But the result was that immigrants lived apart, studied apart, socialized apart.

Holland's multiculturalism -- its respect for Muslims' way of doing things -- wasn't working.... Holland was trying to be tolerant for the sake of consensus, but the consensus was empty. The immigrants' culture was being preserved at the expense of their women and children and to the detriment of the immigrants' integration into Holland.

Many Muslims never learned Ducth and rejected Dutch values of tolerance and personal liberty. They married relatives from their home villages and stayed, inside Holland, in their tiny bubble of Morocco or Mogadishu....

Surely Islam was some kind of influence in the underperforming segregation of so many immigrants in Holland? ...of all the non-Western immigrants...the least integrated are Muslims.... Muslims in Holland make disproportionately heavy claims on social welfare and disability benefits and are disproportionately involved in crime.

If Muslim immigrants lagged so far behind even other immigrant groups, then wasn't it possible that one of the reasons could be Islam?... Why was it racist to ask this question? Why was it antiraciszt to indulge people's attachment to their old ideas and perpetuate this misery?

If Mark Steyn (for instance) dared to publish those quotes in his blog, or say them out loud in a speech or podcast, he'd be hauled before a "human rights" commission by a group of Muslims and offended liberals. It's happened before. His defence would be that those aren't his words, but those of a Muslim, namely Ayaan Hirsi Ali, author of Infidel (Free Press, 2007), from which those paragraphs are taken.

Ms Ali was born in Somalia, and lived the hard life of a good Muslim girl -- complete with gential mutilation -- in Saudi Arabia, Ethiopia, and Kenya, before fleeing to Germany, thence to the Netherlands, where she made which she admits was a bogus refugee claim. She did not give her right name, and, rather than saying she was running from an arranged marriage, said she was fleeing persecution, and in danger of her life.

Unlike many Muslimas, she did well in Europe, working her way through university with a degree in political science. Eventually she became a member of the Dutch parliament. Infidel is the story of her difficult physical journey, but also of her intellectual awakening and eventual rejection of Islam.

Ms Ali's political activism made her aq political superstar and champion of free speech. It also made her the target of threats from Islamic extremists and their apologists. But it wasn't she who paid for her supposedly Islamophobic views. It was Theo van Gogh [no relation. Ed.], who directed Submission: Part 1, a short film written by Ms Ali, which criticized the Islamic mistreatment of women. On 2 November 2004, Mr van Gogh was assassinated by a Dutch-Moroccan Muslim who objected to the film's "Islamophobic" message.

In the last quarter (or so) of Infidel, Ms Ali tells how she was taken into protective custody, sent into hiding in the USA, and (almost) stripped of her Dutch citizenship. All this in spite of being named one of Time's 100 Most Influential People of 2005, and Reader's Digest's European of the Year.

Within 24 hours of the announcement of the order declaring Ms Ali "unDutch" (later rescinded), she was offered a position with the American Enterprise Institute. Click here to read more about her on the AEI website. And do read Infidel!

VIDEO: Trudeau closes US-Canada border, except for asylum seekers

This morning, Just In Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canuckistan, annouonced from his Ottawa residence -- he's "self-isolating", you know [virtue-signalling? Ed.] -- that he had agreed with Still-POTUS to close the World's Longest Undefended Border to residents of the Paranoid States of America, except for "essential" travel. No tourists, no holiday-makers, no cross-border shoppers. Right? Err, not quite. If you're a "refugee" or an asylum-seeker, you're welcome to cross at the hole in the fence [unofficial entry point, surely! Ed.] near Saint-Bernard-de-Lacolle QC.

Around 1000 people a month have been entering Canada for nearly three years, there at Roxham Road and at other informal border crossings in order to request refugee status here, crossing over farmers' fields or well-trod paths to get around the Safe Third Country Agreement with the USA. That deal doesn't allow people to request asylum at official land border points, but people can lodge claims once inside the country illegally. Go figure!

Following his speech this morning, Mr Socks entertained questions, and was asked if the border would be closed at Roxham Road as well as "official" points of entry. He replied that everyone was being screened for Covid-19, so don't worry about it. On Tuesday, Wild Bill Blair, the Minister for Public Security, said the same thing. But, he explained, rather than following the normal protocol of referring them to temporary shelter -- most often in Montreal -- "alternative accommodation" has been arranged to house the "asylum-seekers" during the "voluntary" isolation period.

Details on that were not immediately available. Shuttle buses marked "Queen Elizabeth Hotel" were not seen by the reporter for The Rebel who tells us in this video what he did see. Canadians will not be pleased....

Less than 2% of illegal border cross deported from Canuckistan

Since Canada's Prime Minister, Justin Dressup, issued his famous Tweet -- "Everyone fleeing Trump's Amerika is welcome to Canada" -- in 2017, over 45,000 "asylum-seekers" have jumped across the US-Canada border, mostly at Roxham Road, near the small Québec town of Saint-Bernard-de-Lacolle. In this picture, members of Canada's famous Mounted Police are shown carrying their bags and pointing them towards the nearest welfare office.

Most of the border jumpers are black. Many are Muslim. Many came from shitholes like Haiti and Nigeria to the USA on visitor visas for the express purpose of going to Canada where they would be welcomed by the Liberals, always on the lookout for new Liberal voters. M Trudeau and his minions call them "irregular border crossers", not "illegal immigrants".

At least three cabinet ministers -- The Hon. Ralph Goodale (Public Security), the Hon. Ahmed Hussen (Minister of Refugees and Immigration, and a "refugee" himself) and the Hon. Bill Blair (former Toronto police chief, now Minister of Fart-catching) -- keep assuring Canadians that there's no crisis at the border. Don't worry, they say, all of these people will be screened and vetted and "processed", and those found to be security risks or otherwise inadmissible will be deported.

That's the theory. The reality, as reported by Canadian Press today, is that only a small fraction of the bogus refugee claimants have so far been deported. Statistics obtained by CP from the Canada Border Services Agency show that as of 27 September, 843 people had been physically removed from Canada. Do the math. That's less than 2%. A further 671 people were awaiting removals after exhausting all their options to stay in the Great No-longer-white North.

1000s more are at various stages in the "process". Canada's understaffed Immigration and Refugee Board is backed up worse than someone on an all-cheese diet, and fewer than half of the asylum claims have been heard. If the IRB disallows claims, the "irregulars" have the right of appeal. So far, 85% of those who've lost their initial bids for asylum have contested the decisions before the IRB's appeal division, with the assistance of lawyers paid by Canuck taxpayers.

That means deportation proceedings for 6600 or more illegal border crossesrs have been put on hold. While the hearings and appeals drag on, the "asylum-seekers" are fed and housed, sometimes in big-city hotels, again courtesy of the generous (and stupid) Canadian taxpayer.

I say "stupid" because millions of Canadians will vote, next Monday, for politicians and parties who propose to do exactly nothing to close the Canada-US border. "Canadians welcome all newcomers, no matter how they get here. The system works. Don't listen to the racist anti-immigrant party." That's the message not just from the Trudeau Liberals, but also from Andrew Scheer's Cuckservatives, the Sikh-led NDP, and the loony left Green Party.

The only party proposing anything different is Maxime Bernier's People's Party of Canada. The PPC platform calls for an end to Liberal "all welcome" mass immigration, with the emphasis to be shifted to economic migrants who are capable of integrating into and making a positive contribution to Canadian society. That means no more (or at least fewer) "refugees".

Dear Canadian friends, if you're tired of paying the bills for tens of 1000s of unqualified and unwelcome "refugees", tired of having your immigration system [Is dis a system? Ed.] gamed by welfare-shoppers, and you want to pull in the welcome mat, you know what to do on Monday. Vote PPC!

Official Australian government warning to "refugees"

While we're on the subject (see previous post) of how racist and backward the Australians are [Walt is being sarcastic. Ed.] when it comes to welcoming the tired, the poor and the huddled masses, take a look at this poster, printed and distributed by the Aussie government to discourage refugee wannabes from even thinking about getting on a boat bound for Australia.

They will not be welcomed. That's government policy. Only in Australia, you say? Pity.

Immigration drops to lowest level in ten years... where???

Where, oh where, has the government cut the number of immigrant visas handed out to the lowest level in a decade? America? Britain? Canada? Surely you jest, especially about Canada, where immigration levels are at an all-time high! No, dear reader, it's Australia, the only country where the politicians have listened to the people who have demanded that the welcome mat be rolled up, especially as regards bogus refuees, asylum-seekers, and the old, sick and halt of the "family class".

Polling done in January by the Australian National University showed soaring house prices and crowded cities have combined to convince a clear majority of Australians that the country's immigration push must end. (The USA, UK and Canada do not have such problems, of course.) Less than a third (30.4%) of Aussies polled said they believed Oz needs more people. More than two-thirds (69.6%) felt Australia did not need more people, almost a 180-degree turn from the results of a similar poll done in 2010.

Apparently the Australian government (unlike those of the UK and Canada... especially Canada) has taken note of the wishes of the overwhelming majority of the country's citizens. SBS News reports that tough qualification rules and a preference for skilled workers has seen the number of migrants granted permanent residency in Australia fall dramatically.

Figures released today show just over 160,300 individuals were given permanent resident visas in 2018-19, slightly down from 162,417 the previous year. The number is nearly 30,000 fewer than the annual migration cap of 190,000. By comparison, the three major political parties are all for "welcoming" over 300,000 immigrants, while only Maxime Bernier's People's Party of Canada has called for a cap of less than half that number.

Another big difference between the Australian and Canadian policies on immigration is that the bulk of those admitted to Australia were skilled workers, with 109,713 immigrant visas -- about 70% -- granted under the skilled stream. And Aussie Immigration Minister David Coleman boasted of a 44% percent increase in visas granted to those willing to move outside big cities into regional centres. "Our population plan will ease the pressure on the big capitals," he said, "while supporting the growth of those smaller cities and regions that want more people."

The Australian government's reduced cap on annual permanent migration to 160,000 comes into effect this financial year, as it tries to address concerns about high numbers of foreign entries to the country. "NO to mass immigration", say the people of Australia. (OK, the signs pictured, which have sprung up across Oz, put it a little more bluntly!) Put up a sign saying the same thing in Canada and it gets torn down.

VIDEO: Max Bernier talks about immigration, refugees, hate speech

In its platform, released recently, the People's Party of Canada has promised to put an end to mass immigration. As Walt reported a few days ago (see "Featured Post", at right), they are not saying NO immigration, just reduced immigration, with the emphasis on prospective immigrants who can make a positive contribution to Canadian society immediately, without having to be supported by Canadian taxpayers.

All the same, when supporters put up billboards in major Canadian cities saying "No to mass immigration", the PPC and its leader, Maxime Bernier, were vilified as racists, Islamophobes, yada yada yada. The advertiser (True North) caved, and so did the advertising company (Pattison) which owned the billboards, and they were quickly taken down. That censorship includes the shameful conspiracy of the (((controlled media))), the commentariat and the mainstream parties (not just the lefty Liberals and NDP but the so-called "Conservatives") to deny Max Bernier a place in the televised Leaders' Debates scheduled for October 7th and 10th. Since the lefties are trying so hard to silence "Mad Max" [What are they afraid of? Ed.], I feel it's only fair to him and to the people of Canada to provide a small platform on which the PPC's views can be seen and heard. After all, how can you have a debate if everyone agrees? That's why I posted, last week, "PPC Candidates discuss globalism, Islamism, and immigration", a video recorded on August 17th at the PPC's election training convention in Gatineau PQ.

People's Party of Canada policy statement on refugees

Anticipating the general election scheduled for October 21st, Maxime Bernier's People's Party of Canada has released its policy papers on immigration, refugees and other critical issues on which Canadians will be asked to vote. Walt has just received the following press release which, IMHO, sets out a sensible policy not just for Canada but for the other AABC countries and western Europe. [Too bad it's too late for Europe. Ed.]

Refugees: Ending Open Borders Policies

and Prioritizing Persecuted Groups

Issue
The Liberal government is deliberately attempting to erase our borders. Over the past three years, it has done nothing to stop the flow of tens of thousands of asylum seekers illegally crossing our borders. Accepting all these refugees will cost Canadian taxpayers billions of dollars.

Moreover, in 2018, Canada welcomed more resettled refugees than any other Western country; more than the United States, a country with ten times our population, and as many as all of the European Union.

The UN’s Global Compact for Migration, which the Liberal government signed last year, aims to normalize this kind of situation, and to make it easier for millions of people to move to Canada and other Western democracies at will.

Facts
Since early 2017, more than 45,000 migrants have illegally entered Canada, mainly at Roxham Road in Quebec, avoiding official border checkpoints where they would be turned away and told to file refugee claims in the United States. About 40% of the refugee claims that have been processed have been rejected. These false refugees will eventually have to be deported, after costing governments tens of thousands of dollars each.

A report by the Parliamentary Budget Officer found that the federal government spends on average about $14,000 for each asylum seeker crossing into Canada outside of official border points. The total annual cost for federal agencies to process these claims is expected to reach $396 million in 2019-2020. It does not include expenses incurred by the provinces, territories or municipalities, which pick up costs related to social services.

Our Plan
Our current refugee policy is unsustainable, costly, and it is being abused by false refugees at our borders. This must end. The moral obligation of Canada’s government is to first help those in need among our own population, and then to give priority to real refugees.

A People’s Party Government Will:

• Accept fewer resettled refugees (see also Immigration policy).
• Take every measure necessary, in partnership with our American neighbours, to stop the flow of illegal migrants at the US-Canadian border.
• Declare the whole border an official port of entry for the purposes of refugee claims to send back to the US anyone trying to enter Canada illegally.
• Fence off the areas where illegal border jumping is prevalent, such as Roxham Road in Quebec.
• Rely on private sponsorships instead of having the government pay for all the costs of resettling refugees in Canada.
• Stop our reliance on the United Nations for refugee selection.
• Give priority to refugees belonging to persecuted groups who have nowhere to go in neighbouring countries. For example: Christians, Yazidis, and members of other minority religions in majority Muslim countries; members of the Ahmadi community, and other Muslims in these countries who are persecuted because they reject political Islam and adhere to Western values; and members of sexual minorities.
• Take Canada out of the UN’s Global Compact for Migration.

Is this Islamophobic? Translation please!

Stories of crimes by "refugees", asylum-seekers and other -- mostly Muslim -- migrants appear in the European media every day. Particularly abhorrent are the rapes and murders of white women by Muslims from the shitholes of North Africa and the Middle East. Although I doesn't read Polish, I suspect the message of this poster is that Europeans are sick, sore and tired of having to put up with that kind of thing.

The poster appeared on Blazing Cat Fur today with a link to a story on SputnikNews headed "Gang Rape by Boys Aged 12, 14 Triggers Debate on Lowering Criminality Age in Germany". They report the victim -- an 18-year-old woman -- of a sexual assault by a five-strong gang of boys, aged from 12 to 14, was found nearly unconscious in the bushes in the industrial German city of Mulheim.

Although the SputnikNews story doesn't refer to the race, ethnicity or religion of the perps in either case -- reporting those things, or even the names of the accused, is verboten in the Fatherland -- most readers would jump [not very far. Ed.] to the conclusion that the yoofs were Muslim migrants.

But for now, all we know is that some of the "boys" will escape prosecution entirely, because the minimum age of criminal responsibility is 14 in Germany and several other European countries, and 15 in Scandinavia, where such occurrences are even more common. And yet, they are still still minors -- until the age of 18! -- in the eyes of the United Nations High Commission on Refugees.

The head of the German police union told the meeja, "For years we've been demanding that the age of criminal responsibility be lowered in Germany." The head of the German Association of Judges was quick to invoke political correctness. Hey, they're only kids! And Muslim kids at that! Show a little compassion...

Canada's CTV - all the news that fits

Canada's Auditor General, responsible for oversight of the federal government's operations, released some reports today which shone some harsh light on the substandard performances and "challenges" faced by a number of government departments and agencies. Here are six of the AG's findings.

A — Half of the 16 million people who called federal call centres last year couldn't get through. Instead of giving callers the option of waiting, some centres sent them back to the automated phone system, directed them to a website or told them to call back later.

B — Even after having to pay a fine of C$550,000 (nearly $410,000 in real money) for a Labour Code conviction related to the death of three Mounties five years ago, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police is unsure if all of its officers have access to the rifles and body armour needed to respond to an active shooter. Apparently Canada's national police force mismanaged the purchase, distribution and ongoing maintenance of semi-automatic rifles known as carbines.

C — Canada’s refugee-determination system is unable to process claims on time despite reforms introduced seven years ago. The "asylum-seeker" (= illegal border crosser) caseload faces a mounting backlog, with a processing system that has chronic delays and lax criminality checks. The AG projects that if the number of new asylum claimants remains steady at around 50,000 per year (!), by 2024 the wait time for decisions will increase to five years, more than double what it is now.

D — The Canadian sales-tax system failed to keep up with the rapidly evolving digital marketplace, with the result that C169 million of Goods and Service Tax on foreign products and services sold in Canada in 2017 went uncollected. In addition, the federal government could not assess and collect all sales taxes on e-commerce transactions.

E — Public funds might be supporting partisan advertising due to a lack of adequate controls. Only government advertising valued at $500,000 or more is reviewed by an independent body, even though less expensive campaigns could represent a risk of partisanship. [No kidding. Ed.]

F — The National Museum of Science and Technology houses a large portion of its collection in leased storage facilities, along with many objects that have yet to be assessed or catalogued. Poor conditions in these spaces pose risks of deterioration, damage and theft.

Walt has not attempted to rank these items in order of importance, but readers will certainly guess which one I think is most significant. I think most Canadians would agree that Canada's porous border -- 50,000 illegals crossing every year, with the RCMP able to do no more than carry their bags and direct them towards the welfare office -- is the problem most in need of immediate attention.

My question for today: Which two (only) did Canada's CTV News think worthy of inclusion in its midday TV newscast? Answer: A & B. Maybe there wasn't enough time for the others, although nearly five minutes was devoted to the latest baby produced by the British royals. Funny though. Item C was mentioned prominently in other lamestream media, even the state-owned Canadian Broadcorping Castration (CBC).

In "Auditor General report more evidence of a Liberal government more taken with grand visions than actual governing", Postmedia's John Ivison writes:

In at least two cases, the problems are less a matter of neglect than the direct consequence of weak and wrong-headed decisions. Let's take the report in order of egregiousness — from clown-car policy to the merely careless. It will come as no surprise that the Liberal government's inept handling of the asylum seeker issue has had an effect similar to closing Highway 401 in rush-hour: system gridlock....

While there is clearly a bureaucratic logjam, the real blame lies in government policy. The Liberals created the problem because getting tough with refugees was not on-brand — even when it became clear that the lax Canadian system was being played by economic migrants flying into the U.S. from countries like Nigeria.

John Ivison was once a regular panelist on CTV's Sunday morning Question Period snorefest. No more. Comments like Mr Ivison's clearly do not fit the liberal narrative. And liberal bias is just as much the foundation of CTV's editorial policies as those of the CBC. The difference is that the CBC gets paid directly by the Liberal government, whereas CTV does not. But wait... The recent federal budget set aside some C$650 million for subsidies to Canada's struggling "independent" media. Guess which media will be at the head of the line.

VIDEO: Somali gangsta enters Canada illegally, allowed to stay "because he was honest"

Abdullahi Hashi Farah, a follower of the Prophet Mohammed, was admitted to the USA as a "refugee" from Somalia, one of the shittiest shitholes of Africa. He made his way to the Minneapolis-St. Paul area, which has the highest concentration of Somalis south of the Canadian border, and quickly got into the gangsta life. When complications with the law ensued, he fled to the Great No-longer-white North, crossing the 49th parallel illegally near Emerson MB. That was in October of 2017. After braving the cold and snow, Mr Farah was given a warm place to stay by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, and eventually appeared before the Canadian Immigration and Refugee Board, whose mission it is to give the tired, the poor and the huddled masses of the Third World an excuse to stay in Canada. This short video tells what happened next.



The amazing thing about this video is that it actually aired on The National, the main news telecast of Canada's state broadcaster, the CBC... in spite of the fact that Canada's Minister of Refugees, Immigration and Citizenship [sic], Ahmed Hussen, is himself a Muslim "refugee" from Somalia. Amazing... O Canada!

Right-wing party ousts Liberals in Québec

Walt here, back home after five days touring (not tearing) through les Cantons de l'Est du Québec. It's good to be back in a place where I don't have to think before I speak [or write! Ed.]. How I envy people like my guide, Poor Len Canayen, who can switch effortlessly from French to English and back again.

Another person who can do that is Chantal Hébert, a columnist for the Toronto Red Star and regular guest on the "At Issue" segment of CBC's The National. Around the middle of September, in the middle of the Québec provincial election campaign, Mme Hébert told Agent 3 that immigration to la Belle Province and the resultant anti-immigrant backlash was a non-issue in this election. She called it "the dog that didn't bark."

The issue was raised by the Coalition Avenir Québec (CAQ) led by millionaire businessman François Legault, who promised that his party would cut the number of immigrants coming into the province from 50,000 to 40,000 per year. And it would force them to take an assessment of their knowledge of the French language and of Québec values within three years in order to obtain a Quebec Selection Certificate, which they need in order to get permanent residency from the federal government.

Those vows brought M Legault into conflict other provincial party leaders. The Liberals predictably accused him of not respecting diversity and stirring up divisions. The Parti Québécois accused him of not going far enough.

The lamestream media dismissed the idea of a values and language test as a warmed-up version of the proposed Charter of Québec Values which (they told us) cost the Parti Québécois the provincial election of 2014, won by the moderately progressive Liberals. There's no anti-immigrant sentiment in Québec, they told us. Québécois are just as tolerant as other Canadians, who, as is well known, love immigrants, espeically the bogus "refugees" and asylum-seekers who are crossing the border between Vermont and Québec illegally, at St-Bernard-de-Lacolle, at the rate of over 1000 per month, assisted by the Mounties who carry their bags and direct them to the welfare office. It was to that part of Québec -- the Eastern Townships -- that we went to gauge the sentiment of real habitants, not the chattering classes of Montréal.

In our travels through the ridings (electoral districts, for our American readers) of Brome-Mississquoi, Orford, Sherbrooke, Granby, Saint-François and Mégantic, we saw lots of signs and posters for the CAQ, some for the other parties (notably Québec Solidaire in Sherbrooke) and very few for the Liberals. The people we talked to -- no taxi drivers or media types! -- were surprisingly unemotional, but pretty sure that change was coming, in the form of a CAQ government.

Why? Not because of the economy, which several told us was doing well enough, under the Liberals, but because of "the values thing". No-one actually said "Québec aux Québécois!", but that was the underlying sentiment, as I read it. That part of Québec, sometimes called l'Estrie, went solidly Liberal in 2014. It contains the largest percentage of anglophones (English speakers) outside of Montréal's west island, but even they seemed in the mood for change, so much so that we couldn't even start an argument, let alone get some bets down!

So... it came as no surprise to Poor Len and yr obdt servant that the CAQ swept l'Estrie and virtually all of Québec, apart from the aforesaid west island. There are 125 seats in the Québec Assemblée Nationale. Final count (as of this writing, subject to a couple of recounts): CAQ 74 (a comfortable majority); Liberals 32; Québec Solidaire 10; Parti Québécois (the former separatists) 9. Turns out the dog that didn't bark chose to bite instead!

As with the American election of 2016 and the Ontario election of this past June, the pollsters and meeja pundits got it WRONG, WRONG, WRONG! They were so sure, right through mid-day yesterday, that the "divisive" CAQ, led by a millionaire businessman (cf. Donald Trump and Doug Ford) couldn't win, that their wildest prediction was that the Liberals might be reduced to a minority government.

The looks on the "experts"' faces reminded me of nothing so much as the long pusses displayed by Joy Behar and all the rest on American TV on The Night of the Trump. I hope someone is putting together a highlight reel showing the moment when the CBC realized the CAQ was going to win. It was at 8:19 PM EDT -- 19 minutes after the polls closed. Just In Trudeau and federal Liberals take note -- YOU'RE NEXT!

"Europe belongs to Europeans!" - Dalai Lama (!)

As reported here on WWW, Sweden had a general election last weekend. One of the main ballot questions (if not the main ballot question), was what to do with the "refugees", asylum-seekers and other migrants flooding into the country. The rightist Sweden Democrats, whose policy is to turn them back at the borders or send them back where they came from, did well, although not as well as hoped.

In a masterpiece of coincidental timing, the Dalai Lama, spiritual leader of millions of Tibetan Buddhists, weighed in on the subject on Wednesday. If he had spoken out before the election, he might well have been accused by the lefties and SJWs of meddling, for what he said came as a shock to the do-good weenies who are assisting the suicide of Europe.

Visiting Sweden to celebrate the 80th anniversary of its international anti-poverty efforts, the Dalai Lama asseerted that refugees should be repatriated to they can rebuild the shitholes ["lands", shurely! Ed.] they came from. Why? Because, the holy man told the earnest one-worlders, "Europe belongs to the Europeans!"

Speaking in the multicultural city of Malmö, where Iraqis are the single biggest ethnic group and native-born Swedes are in the minority, the Nobel Prize laureat said Sweden is seen as "a peaceful, generally prosperous country” with a relatively small gap between rich and poor." But then, according to Norrköpings Tidningar, he "spontaneously moved on to talk about one of the biggest issues in the Swedish election — the reception of refugees."

Noting that a large number of immigrants have settled in Europe from the Middle East and elsewhere, he said it was good for nations to help "a refugee really facing danger against their life" -- a subtle suggestion that some of the "refugees" coming to Europe were actually economic migrants. "Receive them, help them, educate them, the holy man concluded, "but ultimately they should develop their own country."

Right-wing Sweden Democrats make big gains in election

The ballot question in yesterday's general election in Sweden was immigration, and the resultant rise in crime and decline in standards in the world's foremost cradle-to-grave nanny state. Proportionately, Sweden took in even more bogus refugees, asylum-seekers and other undesirables in the tsunami of 2015 than Angela Merkel's Germany. With a population of 10 million, the Swedes welcomed a record 163,000 mostly Muslim migrants in 2015 — the highest per capita of any European country.

The result has been a spike in crime, perpetrated by the poor, disadvantaged "refugees". Large parts of cities like Stockholm and (especially) Malmö, have been declared "no-go zones", where the cops and other first responders fear to tread. Social services are under tremendous strain, as Swedish taxpayers are forced by their liberal government to pony up for welfare, health care and other benefits for the indigent newcomers. Both contain videos which should be eye-openers to those who think social democracy is the answer to everything, including racial and religious strife.

The Swedes are a pretty phlegmatic, not to say dour lot, and until recently have been almost as docile as the Canadian sheeple in their acceptance of the liberal dogma that all these foreigners are good people and will be a real asset to the host country if treated properly. But lately, increasing numbers of native-born Swedes have become fed up, and are being attracted to the new(ish) Sweden Democrats, who entered the country's parliament in 2014 with 49 seats.

The mainstream parties, who have coalesced into two blocs (the Social Democrats and the Moderates) to fight the SD, claim that the Sweden Democrats are neo-Nazis, racists, Islamophobes, white supremacists, yada yada yada -- the same crap you hear from the "progressive" and antifa types about Trump Republicans.

You can imagine the consternation of the liberals and lefties, then, when pre-election polling showed the Sweden Democrats with a chance (albeit slim) of winning yesterday's election, and a real chance of finishing second, which would leave them holding the balance of power in a parliament where neither bloc commanded a majority.

Well, the results are in, and support for the SD hit a record high. They saw their share of the vote rise from 12.9% in 2014 to 17.6% in Sunday's poll -- the largest gain by any party in the Riksdag. That should translate to 63 seats, a gain of 14 from 2014. The SD leader Jimmie Akesson told his supporters, "We will gain huge influence over what happens in Sweden during the coming weeks, months and years."

Prime Minister Stefan Lofven's left-leaning Social Democratic bloc, as well as the centre-right Moderate bloc, emerged with roughly 40% each, well short of a majority. The prime minister's party lost 13 seats in parliament – their worst result in a century. That leaves the anti-SD types in an awkward position, since both have sworn not to invite the SD to join in a coalition, yet cannot agree to work together. That leaves the Sweden Democrats with the balance of power. They may yet succeed in getting Sweden back for Swedes!

VIDEOS (2): What happens when Canadians exercise their right to speak freely about illegal border jumpers and diversity

The anti-immigrant tide is rising fast in Canada, triggered (if you'll forgive the expression) by the waves of bogus "refugees" and asylum-seekers jumping acorss the border at Saint-Bernard-de-Lacolle QC illegally (or "irregularly", to use the government-approved jargon). It's costing Canuck taxpayers a fortune (even when converted into real dollars) to these economic migrants -- mostly black people from shitholes like Nigeria and Haïti -- free food, clothing, housing and other benefits while their phoney claims are being processsed.

As you'll see in the first video, one Québécoises is fed up, enough so to gatecrash a Liberal "summer corn roast" at Sainte-Anne-de-Sabrevois, in Québec's Eastern Townships, hoping to put a couple of pointed questions to le Roi Just In Trudeau. After all, Canada's a free country, EH, where one need not be afraid to say what's on one's mind. Here's what happened.



The irate taxpayer said, "I want to know when you are going to refund the $146 million we paid for your illegal immigrants!" She repeated this several times before being shouted down by the crowd of card-carrying Liberals. But Mr Socks did manage to reply without answering the question. "This intolerance towards immigrants has no room in Canada," he said. And then he played the liberal trump card, "Racism has no place here."

That's the liberal way. If someone disagrees with your "progressive" views on, say, immigration... or crime... or anything, call them a racist! Then, while your supports cheer and wet their pants in admiration of your virtue, sic security on them. So much for freedom of speech.

Which brings us to Maxime Bernier's now-famous six tweets in which he said that diversity was destroying Canada. See "Top Conservative says diversity will destroy formerly Great White North", WWW 13/8/18. As the Toronto Sun's Anthony Furey explains in our second video for today, M Bernier did no more than say what hundreds of thousands of dismayed Canucks figured out months and months ago. For his pains, he was denounced as... wait for it... a racist, an Islamophobe, the whole litany of leftist epithets.



What M Bernier said is right on the money, IMHO, but very few Canadians have the cojones to agree with him in public, let alone speak out themselves, for fear of the PC police, not just in the lamestream media but, in the case of Canada's so-called Conservatives, in their own party. Andrew Scheer, who beat M Bernier for the Conservative leadership in a rather fragrant election, would say only that M Bernier was speaking for himself, not the party. As for himself (Scheer), he can't tolerate intolerance, or racism, or Islamophobia, etc etc etc. What a wimp!

Canada's state-run broadcaster, the CBC, has not only censored that video, but suppressed even the mention of it in articles or comments sections on related articles on its website. VIDEO: Ungrateful "refugees" destroy Canadian hotels

OK, forget about Zimbabwe. Stick a fork in it. It's done. Let's turn instead to the Great No-longer-white North, which is having its own problems with dark-complected people -- Haitians and Nigerians, to be specific -- coming in the 1000s to cross the world's longest undefended border (TM) near St-Bernard-de-Lacolle QC and other fenceless border posts. The Liberal government line is that dealing with them -- giving them food, clothes, housing and welfare cheques -- is a "challenge". Michelle Rempel and other (somewhat) Conservative MPs call it a "crisis". The province of Québec has said it just can't take any more, so the Liberal federal government is shipping the latest arrivals to Ontario. Well, not all of Ontario, only the "sanctuary city" of Toronto, which is where the bogus "refugees" wanted to go anyway. Seeing the horde heading west on the 401, Toronto Mayor John Tory (Tory by name, liberal by nature) cried out to the feds for some help. Since he couldn't very well say Toronto didn't want the border jumpers, he said only that the city had no room for them, its homeless shelters being already full of "refugees" from Syria and a few born-in-Canada drug addicts and mental cases.

A grand meeting was called, at which the mayors of Toronto and surrounding municipalities -- the so-called Greater Toronto Area -- were asked if they'd mind taking a few. Out of that came the rumour that Frank Scarpitti, the mayor of neighbouring Markham (aka "New Beijing"), had offered to take as many as 5000 of the welfare shoppers. That rumour was the cause of a demonstration in front of Markham Civic Centre last Saturday, in which scores of angry Chinese-Canadians shouted and waved signs reading "MARKHAM SAY NO TO ILLEGAL BORDER CROSSERS" and "ILLEGAL FREE RIDER NOT INVITED."

One reader was actually told he could be guilty of "hate crime" by challenging the party line on this crisis.

This being an election year, Mayor Scarpitti denied the rumour, and got away with it until yesterday, when Mayor Tory announced that hundreds of the illegals would be transferred from college dorms, where they were sent in June, to hotels in Mississausage, Etobicoke and, errr, Markham, where they will be put up indefinitely, at the expense of the Canadian taxpayer.

That point was underlined today when the Hon. William Blair, Minister of Border Security (aka Minister of BS) a white guy who took over the file from the darker Minister of Refugees, confirmed that "Ottawa" will be providing C$11 million (about $8.45 million in real money) to pay the hotel bills. That's how the CBC reported it -- "Ottawa" will be paying. Most Canucks have finally realized that "Ottawa" = THEM -- Canadian taxpayers.

Sheila Gunn Reid, host of The Gunn Show on The Rebel, has dared to ask who's going to pay to clean up the university dorms, hotel rooms and other "temporary accommodation" once the "refugees" have been given permanent homes. Apparently the flood of Syrian refugees -- 50,000 or them -- which flowed through Toronto hotels following Mr Socks' fit of virtue-signalling in 2015 made quite a mess: urinating in the lobbies, making fires in the rooms, stealing microwaves, smashing furniture and generally behaving like ungrateful third-worlders. If I were going to stay in a GTA hotel -- not likely because I try not to travel to places where I'll be a vizmin -- I would certainly ask, when making a reservation, if they have had any refugees staying there lately.

Meanwhile, in a related story, the Angus Reid Institute -- a polling firm steadfastly neutral on political issues -- today released results of a poll of 1500 members of their Forum, conducted between July 25th and 30th. A majority of Canadians polled said that the number of asylum-seekers crossing into the country is too high. 65% of those polled said they felt that it was "too many people for Canada to handle", with only 29% stating that it's a "manageable number of people." Only 6% said they felt Canada could handle more border crossers.

Politicians always say that the only poll that counts is the one on election day. Canada's next federal election is scheduled for October of 2019. Walt predicts that Canadians will send Just In Trudeau, the boy wonder, packing. (Lifetime pct .992.) Unfortunately for the land of the maple leaf, the "refugees" will linger on... and on... and on...

UPDATED: Spain takes "refugees" Italy refused, with predictable results

In mid-June, the new Italian government, elected on an anti-immigrant platform, put its foot down and refusesd to allow a boatload of bogus "refugees" -- economic migrants, really -- to dump its cargo of mostly black, mostly Muslim third-worlders on Italian shores. See "New Italian government turns back boatload of 'refugees'", WWW 11/6/18. "Enough is enough!" said Interior Minister Matteo Salvini. "Saving lives is a duty, but transforming Italy into an enormous refugee camp isn't. We're closing the ports!"

After much hand-wringing and tut-tutting by the EU, the Vatican and the usual gang of SJWs, Spain finally agreed to take the 269 "refugees", but only temporarily of course, since they expected the itinerant welfare-seekers to move on to places which offered more generous benefits. Like Sweden, or Britain, or Angela Merkel's Germany, where Willkommenskultur reigns supreme, in spite of the feelings of the German people.

So Spain took them. And guess what? The word got out! "Hey, fellow asylum-seekers! Set your boats of a northwest course. Spain is the new Canada!" Surprise, surprise for the Spaniards, and not a pleasant one either. This weekend Spain's coastguard union warned that the service was "completely overwhelmed" by a dramatic rise in the number of migrant crossings. The "extraordinary upturn" in arrivals meant "an absolute overflow of work" for maritime rescue centres, the union said, issuing an urgent call for more resources to help it cope with the "massive arrival of immigrants" on the country's shores.

On Friday morning alone, the Spanish coastguard pulled 627 people from 35 rafts in the Strait of Gibraltar yesterday morning, bringing arrivals to more than 2000 this week. Dozens more were also picked up in Murcia, Majorca and Alicante. By an accident of history, Spain still owns two tiny enclaves on the coast of north Africa. On Thursday, more than 600 border-jumpers forced their way through the border fence at one of them -- Ceuta. The unions representing the Spanish Civil guard called the incursions "well-planned" and "of unprecedented violence".

In the Spanish province of Andalusia, authorities are sounding the alarm over the surge in arrivals, noting that reception centres are saturated and migrants being forced to sleep in converted sports halls, on boats and in one case on a police station patio. Spain is now the largest gateway for migrants crossing the Mediterranean to Europe, with 20,992 people having landed so far this year. That's 3000 more, now, than have landed in Italy in the same time period. A week earlier the difference was about 200.

The Spanish government blames the increase on the crackdown on the Mediterranean route from Libya to Italy. The fact that, like Canada's gaga Prime Minister Trudeau, they rolled out the welcome mat for "refugees" who now turn out to be not so welcome, had nothing to do with the crisis.
