Coming to Canada illegally pays off for asylum-seekers, bogus refugees

WARNING to Canadian readers: This report contains statistics which will infuriate you.

Let's start with these. When the Liberal Prime Minister Blackie McBlackface first took office in 2015, the number of asylum claimants in the country then known as Canada was just 16,058. As of the most recent figures available from Statistics Canada, there are a total of 497,443 "asylum claimants and protected persons". Thats includes a record high 287,786 asylum claimants waiting to have their case heard by the Immigrant and Refugee Board of Canada.

What do you, dear suffering Canuck, think will happen to them? What percentage of them do you think will be allowed to remain in the country now known and derided as "Canuckistan"? 50%? 75%? 85%? How about 100%?!

On Tuesday, the Liberal government headed by Blackie's successor, Marx Carnage, dropped a new budget, outlining the Natural Ruling Party's plans to carry on Junior's wokest works. Buried in the 406+ pages of mouse-sized type was the latest iteration of the Liberal promise to bring immigration "under control.

The budget document admits that Canada’s immigration system [Is dis a system? Mr. Natural] is "dysfunctional and inefficient... [After Covid] the pace of arrivals began to exceed Canada’s capacity to absorb and support newcomers in the way we are used to doing. Canada’s new [LOL. Walt] government recognizes that this system is no longer sustainable, and we are determined to make it so."

But, I hear you ask, how are they going to do that? The answer is a one-time mass amnesty to some of the hundreds of thousands of asylum-seekers who have entered Canada in recent years, by illegally crossing the US border at places like Roxham Road, near St-Bernard-de-Lacolle QC, where a Mountie can be seen in this photo helping a border-jumper with her luggage.

The alien in the photo is just one of 114,373 illegal border-crossesrs who have entered Canada since 2017. A disproportionate number came through the Roxham Road crossing from New York into Québec, an illicit border crossing closed only in 2023

Starting next year, the Liberals will spend over C$120 million ($85 million in real money) on a program to fast-track "eligible protected persons" -- anyone who promises to vote Liberal in future elections -- into permanent residency.

The number of "protected persons" to be admitted without being properly vetted, and in spite of having gamed the system, is for some reason not specified in the budget. It should be noted, though, that Canada currently has more people within the refugee system than at any other time in its history.

In the entirety of 2015, the Canada Border Services Agency processed 7110 asylum claims. Last year, this figure was 58,050 — a more than 800% cent increase! But the 2025 budget boasts that "asylum claims are down by a third" from the heights they reached during the Trudeau era.

Of late, Canada’s population of asylum claimants has also added tens of thousands of "temporary migrants" who entered Canada as students (many at schools like the notorious Singh School of Truck Driving) and claimed asylum as the terms of their visas came to an end.

Last year, for instance, international students were responsible for a record 20,245 asylum claims. If past acceptance figures are any guide, most asylum claimants will ultimately be accepted as "protected persons".

In 2024, for instance, the Immigration and Refugee Board reviewed 73,456 cases and only rejected 11,761. (46,480 were accepted, the other claims were abandoned or withdrawn). The year before, the board reviewed 51,848 and only rejected 9601; 37,222 claims were accepted.

So there you have it, dear put-upon Canadians. Your country's back door is still wide open. No matter where in the Great No-longer-white North you live, it won't be long before you hear the six most feared words in the English language: "Hello dere! I'se yo new neighbuh!"

Québec election: Anti-immigration sentiment propels CAQ to landslide

Ed. here. Normally we don't cover regional/local politics, but yesterday's election in the province of Québec has implications for all of Canuckistan, so we pressed our National Sports Editor, Poor Len Canadien, into service to analyse the result. Over to you, Len.

Tank youse, Hed. Hier soir au Centre Bell [Len? Len! The election, Len. Not the hockey game! Ed.]

Oh... yeah... Well... Four years and two days ago, François Legault led his fledgling Coalition Avenir Québec (CAQ), theretofore barely a blip in the polls, to a surprise victory over the Québec establishment, winning a majority of the seats in the Assemblée Nationale to form a new government.

The CAQ government made good on his promises, passing a number of controversial laws, including Bill 21 on the secularization of the state, which bars public school teachers and government officials in positions of authority from wearing religious symbols, including headgear. The law also denies fully veiled Muslim women access to health care and other government services.

The very first major piece of legislation passed by the CAQ on coming to power drastically reduced the number of immigrants admitted to Quebec, and requires them to provide evidence that they have learned democratic values and Quebec values.

Last May, M Legault's government passed into law Bill 96, which reinforces the primacy of French, "the official and common language of Québec", making it the only official language of la Belle Province.

All these measures were condemned by English-speaking federal and provincial politicians, the lickspittle media and all progressive thinkers, including Prime Minister Blackie McBlackface, as reactionary, xenophobic, divisive, discriminatory, anti-immigrant, chauvinistic, and (of course) racist. But the Québécois approved overwhelmingly, and the CAQ was almost universally predicted to win a second term in Monday's election.

So last night's result came as no surprise. The only shock was the extent of M Legault's re-election triumph. With most polls reporting (as of 0100 today, EDT), the Coalition Avenir Québec had bagged 89 seats (out of 125) in the Assemblée Nationale, 13 more than they started with, and close to the contemporary record established in 1989.

Both Radio Canada and TVA predicted a CAQ majority within 10 minutes of the closing of the polls at 2000. The only question for the rest of the evening was who would form the official opposition and how many seats would be left for the other three parties. In the end the once-mighty Liberals retained the title with 21 seats, six less than they had when the legislature was dissolved.

It is noteworthy that the Liberals, led by a Woman of Colour who grew up in Haïti, slipped to fourth place in the popoular vote, behind the Parti Québecois and socialist Québec Solidaire. That they got so many seats is due to the concentration of their support in Montréal, where their candidates were elected in predominantly English-speaking, Jewish and immigrant-majority ridings. The Liberals failed to elect a single candidate outside of the Montréal-Laval region. One commentator said (repeatedly), "There are  now two Québecs."

At the outset of the campaign, Premier Legault proclaimed immigration a key ballot issue. He implored voters to give him a clear majority so he would be in a strong position to demand the federal government cede to the province all but exclusive control over immigration. In a speech to the Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan Montreal, M Legault said it would be "suicidal" for the Quebec "nation" to increase its intake of immigrants since they are responsible for the decline of French.

This followed earlier remarks in which the Premier associated immigrants with crime and violence, and suggested they were a threat to Quebec values. CAQ Immigration Minister Jean Boulet was forced to apologize after stating in a radio debate, "80 per cent of immigrants go to Montreal, do not work, do not speak French or do not adhere to the values of Quebec society."

M Legault responded by saying M Boulet had "disqualified" himself from the position of Immigration Minister if the CAQ retained power. Note the careful wording. M Boulet remained the CAQ candidate in the riding of Trois-Rivières, which he won handily, and will probably remain in cabinet, just not in the immigration portfolio.

This photo, of Mounties welcoming "asylum-seekers" (fleeing the racist USA!) at Roxham Road, near Saint-Bernard-de-Lacolle QC, illustrates perfectly the unfettered mass migration which Québécois reject. Since 2017, thousands of these "refugees" have crossed the US-Canada border illegally at this "unofficial" point of entry.

A recent Radio-Canada investigation revealed that the Just In Trudeau's ultra-woke government has spent half a billion dollars on infrastructure and services at the border crossing, to accommodate these illegal aliens in the name of "diversity".

Québec Conservative Party leader Eric Duhaime (whose party won 0 seats in yesterday's election) condemned illegal immigration and raised the idea of building a wall along the border. Imagine that! M  Duhaime’s rejection of illegal immigration is shared by the vast majority of Québécois outside of Montréal.

Over the last 15 years, as more and more "refugees" who cannot and will not be assimilated into Québec society have flooded into the province, people have become fed up with unreasonable accommodations being made for religious and racial minorities.

Call it "white supremacy" or "nationalism" or whatever you like, but the people of Québec, like those of France, Italy and even the American heartland are uniting against multilingualism, multiculturalism and the New World Order. There should be a lesson in that for politicians in TROC (The Rest of Canada). Whether they, especially Pierre Poilievre's Conservatives, will wake up and smell the coffee remains to be seen.

VIDEO: Tidal wave of illegal immigrants hits southern border

That's not the porous border between Mexico and the Great State of Texas I'm talking about, but the World's Longest Undefended Border -- and that's the problem! -- between Canada and the US of A.

Maybe the numbers of "refugees" and "asylum-seekers" fleeing "war-torn America" isn't as great as the millions who are inundating the US as part of the Biden/Soros Great Replacement, but the numbers of illegal border crosseings at the notorious Roxham Road entrance to Québec keeps increasing, with a majority of the migrants being unvaccinated.

To make matters worse, the Liberal government of Blackie McBlackface not only doesn't try to stop the unassimilable third-worlders from coming in, it actually welcomes then. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police are there to help them with their bags and direct them to the welfare office at Lacolle. That's because the "refugees" are not supposed to work, but are entitled to generous welfare benefits for as long as it takes to "resolve their cases" (read: give them permnanent resident status).

Does the democratically-elected (by 33% of the voters) Emperor Trudeau II have any plan to stem the flow or otherwise address the growing alarm of native-born Canucks that they're becoming a minority in their country? We asked Alexa... meaning Alexa Lavoie of Rebel News. Here's her report.

Thanks to a backroom deal between the Trudeau Gliberals and the far-left-but-not-quite-communist "New" Democratic Party, the Canadian sheeple won't have any chance to express at the polls their delight (or otherwise) at having to live with -- literally -- 1000s of "refugees" from the shitholes of Africa and the Middle East until 2025. Walt predicts more Freedom Convoys as the snow begins to melt. Lifetime pct .985.

VIDEO: Trudeau closes US-Canada border, except for asylum seekers

This morning, Just In Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canuckistan, annouonced from his Ottawa residence -- he's "self-isolating", you know [virtue-signalling? Ed.] -- that he had agreed with Still-POTUS to close the World's Longest Undefended Border to residents of the Paranoid States of America, except for "essential" travel. No tourists, no holiday-makers, no cross-border shoppers. Right? Err, not quite. If you're a "refugee" or an asylum-seeker, you're welcome to cross at the hole in the fence [unofficial entry point, surely! Ed.] near Saint-Bernard-de-Lacolle QC.

Around 1000 people a month have been entering Canada for nearly three years, there at Roxham Road and at other informal border crossings in order to request refugee status here, crossing over farmers' fields or well-trod paths to get around the Safe Third Country Agreement with the USA. That deal doesn't allow people to request asylum at official land border points, but people can lodge claims once inside the country illegally. Go figure!

Following his speech this morning, Mr Socks entertained questions, and was asked if the border would be closed at Roxham Road as well as "official" points of entry. He replied that everyone was being screened for Covid-19, so don't worry about it. On Tuesday, Wild Bill Blair, the Minister for Public Security, said the same thing. But, he explained, rather than following the normal protocol of referring them to temporary shelter -- most often in Montreal -- "alternative accommodation" has been arranged to house the "asylum-seekers" during the "voluntary" isolation period.

Details on that were not immediately available. Shuttle buses marked "Queen Elizabeth Hotel" were not seen by the reporter for The Rebel who tells us in this video what he did see. Canadians will not be pleased....

Harry and Meghan moving to Canada?

Last week, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex -- hereafter to be known simply as Harry Winsor and Meghan Markle -- sparked a crisis in the British monarchy by announcing they wanted to reduce their royal duties and spend more time in North America, while also becoming financially independent. Since Her Royal Hotness is not prepared to move back to the USA as long as Donald J. Trump is still President (which he is and will be for another five years!), they are looking at settling in The Great No-longer-white North, where Ms Markle, being biracial, will fit right in. They are pictured here about to enter Canada via the notorious hole in the World's Longest Undefended Border (TM) at Saint-Bernard-de-Lacolle, Québec.

Since Canucks are notorious cheapskates -- you can get a canoe to tip much easier than a Canadian! -- concerns are already being expressed about who's going to be on the hook for the D-list celebs' expenses, particularly security. Mustn't have another Diana-in-the-tunnel moment in one of Her Majesty's Dominions! Will Harry and Meghan's "employment" cover their living costs? Will Meghan find British Columbia (their intended destination) too cold and wet for her liking? Will she divorce Harry when it turns out he doesn't have the combination to the royal vault? Stay tuned!

Canada finds 400 "asylum-seekers" ineligible... out of over 12,000

Believe It Or Not Dept: The Toronto [Red] Star, not owned but still controlled by Canada's Liberal government, reported this week that "New asylum laws to restrict flow of migrants from US yield few results". Believe it or not!

In June of 2019, with a federal election looming and anti-immigrant (and especially anti-"refugee") backlash mounting, the alleged government of Just In Trudeau put into effect measures (buried in April's "omnibus budget") which were supposed to prevent refugees from seeking protection in Canada if they have made similar claims in other countries. That was supposed to discourage Nigerians, Haitians and other bogus refugees from jumping across the World's Longest Undefended Border (TM) at such notorious crossing points as Saint-Bernard-de-Lacolle QC.

The Honourable Bill Blair, "Minister of Border Security" and former chief of the Toronto Police "Service" told the meeja, when the changes were introduced, "We've been working very hard over the past several months to significantly reduce the number of people who are crossing our borders irregularly." That was, of course, a steaming load of horseshit, since the Liberals depend on 1000s of "instant Canadians" to vote for them in places like Toronto, Montréal and Vancouver.

The government's own figures, revealed now in the Star's exclusive, put the lie to Mr Blair's statement. Since Still-President Donald Trump took office in January 2017, more than 50,000 "irregular migrants" (government-speak for "illegal border jumpers") crossed the land border at places like Lacolle and Emerson MB, claiming asylum in Canada. As of September 2019, there were still 29,000 claims to be heard and determined.

Statistics from the Ministry of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship [sic] show that some 12,000 asylum claims were made from January to September of this year alone. The number of claimants deemed ineligible since 21 June 2019, when the "new" rules took effect, is... wait for it... 400. That's right -- four hundred out of 12,000.

The Star says the Ministry for Refugees did not track asylum-seekers who had made claims in other countries, so the new policy did not set a target. However, 400 is a much lower number than that anticipated by "migrant rights" groups who were critical of the policy change. "We were surprised to see the low number," said Janet Dench (no relation to Judy), of the Canadian Council for Refugees. "It is not clear how [the policy] helps by denying refugees access to the Immigration and Refugee Board. From our perspective, this is for the government to send the message that you are not welcomed here and we don't want you here."

Well yes, that's the message the Canadian people want to see given out, and that's what the Liberals are pretending to be saying. But, as with almost everything M Trudeau and company say, the truth is something quite different.

Less than 2% of illegal border cross deported from Canuckistan

Since Canada's Prime Minister, Justin Dressup, issued his famous Tweet -- "Everyone fleeing Trump's Amerika is welcome to Canada" -- in 2017, over 45,000 "asylum-seekers" have jumped across the US-Canada border, mostly at Roxham Road, near the small Québec town of Saint-Bernard-de-Lacolle. In this picture, members of Canada's famous Mounted Police are shown carrying their bags and pointing them towards the nearest welfare office.

Most of the border jumpers are black. Many are Muslim. Many came from shitholes like Haiti and Nigeria to the USA on visitor visas for the express purpose of going to Canada where they would be welcomed by the Liberals, always on the lookout for new Liberal voters. M Trudeau and his minions call them "irregular border crossers", not "illegal immigrants".

At least three cabinet ministers -- The Hon. Ralph Goodale (Public Security), the Hon. Ahmed Hussen (Minister of Refugees and Immigration, and a "refugee" himself) and the Hon. Bill Blair (former Toronto police chief, now Minister of Fart-catching) -- keep assuring Canadians that there's no crisis at the border. Don't worry, they say, all of these people will be screened and vetted and "processed", and those found to be security risks or otherwise inadmissible will be deported.

That's the theory. The reality, as reported by Canadian Press today, is that only a small fraction of the bogus refugee claimants have so far been deported. Statistics obtained by CP from the Canada Border Services Agency show that as of 27 September, 843 people had been physically removed from Canada. Do the math. That's less than 2%. A further 671 people were awaiting removals after exhausting all their options to stay in the Great No-longer-white North.

1000s more are at various stages in the "process". Canada's understaffed Immigration and Refugee Board is backed up worse than someone on an all-cheese diet, and fewer than half of the asylum claims have been heard. If the IRB disallows claims, the "irregulars" have the right of appeal. So far, 85% of those who've lost their initial bids for asylum have contested the decisions before the IRB's appeal division, with the assistance of lawyers paid by Canuck taxpayers.

That means deportation proceedings for 6600 or more illegal border crossesrs have been put on hold. While the hearings and appeals drag on, the "asylum-seekers" are fed and housed, sometimes in big-city hotels, again courtesy of the generous (and stupid) Canadian taxpayer.

I say "stupid" because millions of Canadians will vote, next Monday, for politicians and parties who propose to do exactly nothing to close the Canada-US border. "Canadians welcome all newcomers, no matter how they get here. The system works. Don't listen to the racist anti-immigrant party." That's the message not just from the Trudeau Liberals, but also from Andrew Scheer's Cuckservatives, the Sikh-led NDP, and the loony left Green Party.

The only party proposing anything different is Maxime Bernier's People's Party of Canada. The PPC platform calls for an end to Liberal "all welcome" mass immigration, with the emphasis to be shifted to economic migrants who are capable of integrating into and making a positive contribution to Canadian society. That means no more (or at least fewer) "refugees".

M Bernier goes further, promising that he will close the border at Roxham Road and other weak points by building a fence. Check out the video in "Latest interview with Max Bernier: border fences, supply management and the Indian Act", WWW 26/9/19.

Dear Canadian friends, if you're tired of paying the bills for tens of 1000s of unqualified and unwelcome "refugees", tired of having your immigration system [Is dis a system? Ed.] gamed by welfare-shoppers, and you want to pull in the welcome mat, you know what to do on Monday. Vote PPC!

People's Party of Canada policy statement on refugees

Anticipating the general election scheduled for October 21st, Maxime Bernier's People's Party of Canada has released its policy papers on immigration, refugees and other critical issues on which Canadians will be asked to vote. Walt has just received the following press release which, IMHO, sets out a sensible policy not just for Canada but for the other AABC countries and western Europe. [Too bad it's too late for Europe. Ed.]

Refugees: Ending Open Borders Policies
and Prioritizing Persecuted Groups

Issue
The Liberal government is deliberately attempting to erase our borders. Over the past three years, it has done nothing to stop the flow of tens of thousands of asylum seekers illegally crossing our borders. Accepting all these refugees will cost Canadian taxpayers billions of dollars.

Moreover, in 2018, Canada welcomed more resettled refugees than any other Western country; more than the United States, a country with ten times our population, and as many as all of the European Union.

The UN’s Global Compact for Migration, which the Liberal government signed last year, aims to normalize this kind of situation, and to make it easier for millions of people to move to Canada and other Western democracies at will.

Facts
Since early 2017, more than 45,000 migrants have illegally entered Canada, mainly at Roxham Road in Quebec, avoiding official border checkpoints where they would be turned away and told to file refugee claims in the United States. About 40% of the refugee claims that have been processed have been rejected. These false refugees will eventually have to be deported, after costing governments tens of thousands of dollars each.

A report by the Parliamentary Budget Officer found that the federal government spends on average about $14,000 for each asylum seeker crossing into Canada outside of official border points. The total annual cost for federal agencies to process these claims is expected to reach $396 million in 2019-2020. It does not include expenses incurred by the provinces, territories or municipalities, which pick up costs related to social services.

Our Plan
Our current refugee policy is unsustainable, costly, and it is being abused by false refugees at our borders. This must end. The moral obligation of Canada’s government is to first help those in need among our own population, and then to give priority to real refugees.

A People’s Party Government Will:
  • Accept fewer resettled refugees (see also Immigration policy).
  • Take every measure necessary, in partnership with our American neighbours, to stop the flow of illegal migrants at the US-Canadian border.
  • Declare the whole border an official port of entry for the purposes of refugee claims to send back to the US anyone trying to enter Canada illegally.
  • Fence off the areas where illegal border jumping is prevalent, such as Roxham Road in Quebec.
  • Rely on private sponsorships instead of having the government pay for all the costs of resettling refugees in Canada.
  • Stop our reliance on the United Nations for refugee selection.
  • Give priority to refugees belonging to persecuted groups who have nowhere to go in neighbouring countries. For example: Christians, Yazidis, and members of other minority religions in majority Muslim countries; members of the Ahmadi community, and other Muslims in these countries who are persecuted because they reject political Islam and adhere to Western values; and members of sexual minorities.
  • Take Canada out of the UN’s Global Compact for Migration.

Bernier's People's Party of Canada promises drastic cuts to immigration

Maxime Bernier, leader of the fledgling People's Party of Canada, yesterday called Islamism or "political Islam" a threat to Canada's values and way of life. Introducing his party's policy on immigration -- the ballot question in the upcoming Canuckistan election -- he said denounced mass immigration and "extreme multiculturalism," which he said are really "a very dangerous type of social engineering" which would lead to "social conflicts and potentially violence."

M Bernier went on to say that Canada must look after its own citizens first, and focus on newcomers who bring economic value to the country. A People's Party government, he said, would slash immigration and refugee numbers, build a fence to block asylum seekers from walking across the border, and end a program that lets immigrants sponsor their families to join them. "I can understand why immigrants would want to bring the rest of their extended family here, including older ones who will benefit from our health-care system," his text read, "but we cannot be the welfare state of the planet."

He pledged to reduce the number of immigrants admitted to Canada each year to 100,000 or 150,000 at most, if the economy and "other circumstances" allow that many. That's less than half the number currently being "welcomed" by Canuckistan's Liberal government (Just In Trudeau, Prop.) The so-called Conservatives refuse to divulge their target number, but under the last Tory government of Steve Harpoon, the number of immigrants increased to 250,000. Saying most Canadians agree with him, M Bernier cited polls suggesting up to half of respondents think immigration levels are too high.

On the question of refugees and asylum-seekers -- the issue that has most Canadians, including legal immigrants, seething -- M Bernier pledged to build fences at popular crossings for migrants between official ports of entry -- including the notorious Roxham Road "gateway" near Saint-Bernard-de-Lacolle QC -- and to rely on private sponsorships for funding new immigrants rather than government support. His speech said that a People's Party government would focus on religious minorities in Muslim-majority countries and "members of sexual minorities" instead of refugees identified by the United Nations.

Another plank in the PPC's immigration platform promises to make each immigration applicant go through a face-to-face interview with a Canadian official to judge the applicant's values and his or her acceptance of Canadian societal norms. M Bernier quoted Salim Mansour -- a PPC candidate in an Ontario riding, who happens to be a Muslim -- who has written that official multiculturalism is a lie. "A lie based on the idea that all cultures are equal," said the party leader. "A lie destructive of our Western liberal democratic heritage, traditions, and values based on individual rights and freedoms."

VIDEO: Undefended border with Canada threatens both countries

For many months now, Walt has been reporting on the problems at the World's Longest Undefended Border (TM), particularly at St-Bernard-de-Lacolle QC, where 10s of 1000s of "refugees" from the USA (!) have crossed illegally into the Great No-longer-white North following Canuck Prime Minister Trudeau's infamous tweet in which he offered asylum to anyone, anyone fleeing the horros of Trump's Amerika. No questions asked. Welcome to Canuckistan. See "True stories from the US-Canada border", WWW 11/2/17 and "Canucks ask US Homeland Security to help turn back border jumpers", WWW 23/10/17.

Those stories have focused on the problems caused by the lack of border controls on the Canadian side. A particularly egregious example is the true story of Abdullahi Hashi Farah, a follower of the Prophet Mohammed who came to the USA as a refugee only to commit numerous criminal acts. American authorities would like to arrest and (maybe) deport him, so he did the logical thing and refugeed right quick to Canada, where he was arrested and released three times because he was honest enough to declare that he was in trouble in the USA. See "Somali gangsta enters Canada illegally, allowed to stay 'because he was honest'", WWW 14/12/18, includes video.

But the ever-increasing tide of terrorists and criminals runs in both directions, and at least some American lawmakers have started to notice. Last week, the incoming chair of the House Homeland Security Oversight and Management Efficiency Subcommittee, Rep. Lou Correa (D-CA), said that President Trump's focus on the US-Mexico border is leaving unaddressed threats from America's northern border. In an interview with CTV's Richard Madan, Mr Correa said that, because personnel and resources are being diverted to the southern border, the northern border is "totally wide open". Here's the report from CTV News.

"Big swaths of area between Canada and the U.S. -- nobody watching," said Mr Correa. "A lot of negative things go in and out: drug trade, arms trade, things that happen on the northern border that nobody's watching. And it's happening now." He said he had been warned by a US border agent that the Canadians were being complacent, worrying only about the bogus refugee claimants coming into their country from the the USA.

In its "Northern Border Strategy", the Department of Homeland Security said the biggest threat from Canada was the illicit drug trade. It also warned of terror threats "from homegrown violent extremists [Not Islamists, surely! Ed.] in Canada who are not included in the American government's consolidated terrorist watch list and could therefore enter the United States legally at Northern Border ports of entry...without suspicion."

Rep. Correa's accusations aren't new. At a hearing of the same committe back in November of 2017, Rep. John Katko (R-NY) warned that several facilities on the American side of the border, including crossings at Niagara Falls NY and Champlain NY, have been "woefully neglected". A sign at one border crossing shows there are "200 vacancies" for Border Patrol agents at the Canadian border.

For want of adequate manpower to do proper inspections and vetting, Islamic terrorists and criminals of all religions can slip the great undefended border without detection. "We have to recognize the northern border is a threat just like the southern border," he said, "and I would argue that because of lack of attention it is more than a threat."

Right-wing party ousts Liberals in Québec

Walt here, back home after five days touring (not tearing) through les Cantons de l'Est du Québec. It's good to be back in a place where I don't have to think before I speak [or write! Ed.]. How I envy people like my guide, Poor Len Canayen, who can switch effortlessly from French to English and back again.

Another person who can do that is Chantal Hébert, a columnist for the Toronto Red Star and regular guest on the "At Issue" segment of CBC's The National. Around the middle of September, in the middle of the Québec provincial election campaign, Mme Hébert told Agent 3 that immigration to la Belle Province and the resultant anti-immigrant backlash was a non-issue in this election. She called it "the dog that didn't bark."

The issue was raised by the Coalition Avenir Québec (CAQ) led by millionaire businessman François Legault, who promised that his party would cut the number of immigrants coming into the province from 50,000 to 40,000 per year. And it would force them to take an assessment of their knowledge of the French language and of Québec values within three years in order to obtain a Quebec Selection Certificate, which they need in order to get permanent residency from the federal government.

Those vows brought M Legault into conflict other provincial party leaders. The Liberals predictably accused him of not respecting diversity and stirring up divisions. The Parti Québécois accused him of not going far enough.

The lamestream media dismissed the idea of a values and language test as a warmed-up version of the proposed Charter of Québec Values which (they told us) cost the Parti Québécois the provincial election of 2014, won by the moderately progressive Liberals. There's no anti-immigrant sentiment in Québec, they told us. Québécois are just as tolerant as other Canadians, who, as is well known, love immigrants, espeically the bogus "refugees" and asylum-seekers who are crossing the border between Vermont and Québec illegally, at St-Bernard-de-Lacolle, at the rate of over 1000 per month, assisted by the Mounties who carry their bags and direct them to the welfare office. It was to that part of Québec -- the Eastern Townships -- that we went to gauge the sentiment of real habitants, not the chattering classes of Montréal.

In our travels through the ridings (electoral districts, for our American readers) of Brome-Mississquoi, Orford, Sherbrooke, Granby, Saint-François and Mégantic, we saw lots of signs and posters for the CAQ, some for the other parties (notably Québec Solidaire in Sherbrooke) and very few for the Liberals. The people we talked to -- no taxi drivers or media types! -- were surprisingly unemotional, but pretty sure that change was coming, in the form of a CAQ government.

Why? Not because of the economy, which several told us was doing well enough, under the Liberals, but because of "the values thing". No-one actually said "Québec aux Québécois!", but that was the underlying sentiment, as I read it. That part of Québec, sometimes called l'Estrie, went solidly Liberal in 2014. It contains the largest percentage of anglophones (English speakers) outside of Montréal's west island, but even they seemed in the mood for change, so much so that we couldn't even start an argument, let alone get some bets down!

So... it came as no surprise to Poor Len and yr obdt servant that the CAQ swept l'Estrie and virtually all of Québec, apart from the aforesaid west island. There are 125 seats in the Québec Assemblée Nationale. Final count (as of this writing, subject to a couple of recounts): CAQ 74 (a comfortable majority); Liberals 32; Québec Solidaire 10; Parti Québécois (the former separatists) 9. Turns out the dog that didn't bark chose to bite instead!

As with the American election of 2016 and the Ontario election of this past June, the pollsters and meeja pundits got it WRONG, WRONG, WRONG! They were so sure, right through mid-day yesterday, that the "divisive" CAQ, led by a millionaire businessman (cf. Donald Trump and Doug Ford) couldn't win, that their wildest prediction was that the Liberals might be reduced to a minority government.

The looks on the "experts"' faces reminded me of nothing so much as the long pusses displayed by Joy Behar and all the rest on American TV on The Night of the Trump. I hope someone is putting together a highlight reel showing the moment when the CBC realized the CAQ was going to win. It was at 8:19 PM EDT -- 19 minutes after the polls closed. Just In Trudeau and federal Liberals take note -- YOU'RE NEXT!

Canuck "conservatives" wimp out, pull anti-border jumpers ad

The Canadian brand of conservatism is pretty thin gruel compared with the chunky stuff which got Donald Trump elected. The leader of the so-called Conservative Party of Canada, Andrew Scheer, is a decent guy, good Catholic with several kids, whose baby face, dimples and short-sleeved madras shirts make him look like a small-town insurance salesman. [What is he, actually? Ed.] He never has a bad word to say about anybody -- even "Mr Socks" -- and is in grave danger of becoming a "Joe Who" footnote to Canadian history.

Mr Scheer's high wimp factor is only a reflection of that of his party, which appears not to understand that its function, as Her Majesty's Loyal Opposition, is to be politically incorrect to the degree necessary to counter the exagerrated political correctness of the Trudeau Liberals, which now has the status of political orthodoxy, not to be questioned by anyone, anyone in politics or the (((media))).

The latest PC commandment, handed down by the Somali-born Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship (no, I'm not kidding) is that the dark-complected people who cross the Canadian border other than at a port of entry are not "illegal", even though their actions in jumping across the undefended border are clearly in violation of Canadian law. Moreover, it's not Just In Trudeau's fault that they're coming, in their 1000s, from a safe country (the USA) just because Junior tweeted after the election of DJT that all those "fleeing persecution" are welcome in Canada.

The Conservatives have argued (although not very forcefully) that Mr Socks' Tweet is exactly the reason that a large contingent of Mounties has been deployed near St-Bernard-de-Lacolle QC to carry the bags of the "asylum seekers" to the bus which will take them to the welfare offices of Montréal and (they hope) Toronto. See "Canuck Conservatives demand Liberals stop border jumpers", WWW 24/4/18.

Since speaking in Parliament and on the Sunday morning snorefests doesn't seem to be doing any good, the Tories decided to publish an ad calling attention to the problem which the Liberals deny is a problem, let alone a "crisis". So here's what they put up on their Twitter feed yesterday.

In a display of cowardice in the face of the PC police unusual even for Canadians, the Conservatives pulled the ad, even before the day was done. Tory spokesthingy Cory Hann told the CBC (of course!) that the ad was axed because the situation at the border is "not about any one group of people." LMAO. Mr Hann said the image, which shows an actual person of the coloured persuasion illegally crossing over the Canadian border was originally used by a number of media outlets with stories about the surge in asylum seekers. But, he added, the full photo shows the man with a group of people, so they shouldn't have singled out this one guy who happens to be, errr, black.

Walt's challenge to Cory Hann: Search through all the images of illegal border crossers, including the one I used in my post of April 24th, and show me one (1) of the illegals who is not a vizmin. Even a hoser knows what's going on. Why are the Conservatives afraid to depict the truth? Trying to work both sides of the street, perhaps?

Handwriting on the wall for Justin "Mr Socks" Trudeau

Poor Len Canayen here, taking a break from my summer vacation to bring you news of omens of doom for Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau II. Earlier this month it was the convincing win of Doug Ford's Progressive Conservatives [sic] in the Ontario general election. Now (OK, last night) the federal Conservatives crushed M Trudeau's ruling Liberals in a byelection in the Québec riding of Chicoutimi-Le Fjord.

The byelection was precipitated by the resignation of rookie Liberal MP Denis Lemieux, and came just as "Mr Socks" picked a fight with American President Donald Trump over trade issues. POTUS has imposed a 10% tariff on aluminum imports and 25% on steel, claiming the security of the Paranoid States of America is put at risk by all those Canadian products coming across the border. M Trudeau called that suggestion "insulting" -- no kidding! -- and vowed to slap dollar-for-dollar tariffs on a range of US exports to Canada, starting on Canada Day, July 1st.

The riding is in Québec's Saguenay region, the heart of the province's aluminum industry. While opinion polls suggest Canadians have rallied behind Mr Dressup, the issue evidently didn't help Liberal fortunes in yesterday's byelection. Neither did hundreds of millions of dollars of pork-barrel promises.

In the first test of Conservative leader Andrew Scheer's effort to recreate the nationalist-conservative coalition that helped federal Tories dominate the province in the 1980s, his candidate, Richard Martel, captured 53% of the vote, more than 5000 votes ahead of the Liberal, who took 29%. The pinko NDP (led by a Sikh who wears a turban but not a tie) and the separatist Bloc Québécois received 8.7% and 5.7% respectively, with the Green candidate last at just 3.1 per cent of the vote.

The Liberals' handling of the impending trade war with the USA was certainly top-of-mind for the voters of Chicoutimi-Le Fjord, but un petit oiseau tells me that a close second, not mentioned by the (((controlled media))) for reasons of political correctness, was the feds' failure to turn back the 1000s of bogus "refugeees" and asylum-seekers flooding across the border at Lacolle. See "Canuck Conservatives demand Liberals stop border jumpers", WWW 24/4/18. Mr Scheer has said he'd give Québec more power over culture and immigration and has promised to crack down on the influx of "irregular refugee claimants".

M Trudeau -- or at least the handlers who pull his strings -- should pay attention. The old-stock Canadians have had more than enough of the Liberals' incessant identity politics and pandering to minorities. At the first opportunity they will boot out the liberal elites, and dat's for sure, eh!

A refugee camp? In Canada?! Yes, really!!

Oh, that Just In Trudeau! He's so full of surprises! When Canada's opposition Conservatives -- not to mention millions of angry Canucks -- demanded that he do something about the 1000s of bogus "refugees" and asylum-seekers crossing from the USA into the Great No-longer-white North every week, what they had in mind was cancelling the Safe Third Country Agreement with the USA, or maybe building a fence. No-one dreamed that Mr Sock's response would be to set up a refugee camp!

Beats me how Canada's Liberals -- or anywhere's liberals -- can on the one hand deny there's any problem with illegal immigrants streaming across open borders and on the other hand build accommodations for them, but here's the proof, the first in a tract of tents and modular buildings to provide sleeping quarters, shower facilities and more at the "unauthorized" crossing site just outside St-Bernard-de-Lacolle, Québec.

In a government tender notice released last week, the Trudeau Liberals are looking for someone to build -- very quietly -- temporary housing capable of handling 520 people -- a small village -- over three seasons. (The "refugees" are expected to spend the winter in Florida, on the taxpayers' dime.) The border jumpers filing past the warning signs at Roxham Road (pictured) will be housed in tents. Modular buildings will be used for quarantine spaces as well as toilet and shower facilities.

Canada's Liberal (with big and small L's) government are calling this "temporary housing", but any phool can see it's a refugee camp... on Canadian soil... for people fleeing... wait for it... the United States! Whoda thunk it?!

Walt thunk it -- that's who! When Hairboy posted his infamous Tweet, even He Of Little Brain should have known that his invitation would be taken up by every Haitian, Somali, Eritrean and Nigerian who could make it into the USA on a visitor's visa. Now M Trudeau is begging the USA to stop the scum from heading due north to the Canadian border. Of course that would mean detaining them at refugee camps in... wait for it... the USA! LMAO.

UPDATED: Canuck Conservatives demand Liberals stop border jumpers

Yesterday, in "Trudeau's plan to reform Canadian immigration system", Walt told you that Québec's Immigration Minister warned Canada's federal government that, come summer, up to 400 "refugees" and asylum-seekers from shithole countries could be crossing into his province every day. And why wouldn't they, having heard about the Prime Minister of Canuckistan's "Give us your tired, your poor, your scum" tweet following the inauguration of President Trump.

Although Just In Trudeau's "Let them all in, as long as they promise to vote Liberal" stance is patently obvious, the government of Québec, which received 90% of the 20,593 illegal immigrants who entered Canada in 2017, has told the feds that they'd better help, because the province's education and social service agencies won't be able to cope with the influx.

Now the opposition Conservatives are entering the debate. Tory immigration critic Michelle Rempel today tabled a motion in the House of Commons urging the Liberal government to take "immediate action" to halt illegal border crossings, describing the flow of asylum-seekers from the USA as a "crisis without a plan." Things are so bad, said Ms Rempel, that the Mounties have had to work overtime and transfer staff from other parts of Canada to help with arduous tasks such as carrying the bags for the scores of "refugees" who arrive every day at the "unauthorized" border crossing near St-Bernard-de-Lacolle QC.

Ms Rempel told the (((controlled media))) today that she's worried that the absence of a more forceful response from the federal government to illegal border crossings could erode Canadians' support for immigration. "You're not going to get any argument from Canadians that we support immigration in this country," she said, prompting reporters to rewind their tapes to make sure they heard her correctly.

Without skipping a beat, Ms Rempel put herself firmly on the path of political correctness, adding, "My concern is that if the government does not take steps to rectify [its] failure to manage our borders, we are going to rapidly see Canadians lose that social licence for immigration, because there will be a lack of faith in the ability of the government to ensure planned and orderly migration."

The rest of her statement was inaudible due to howls of laughter and hoots of derision.

UPDATE ADDED 26/4/18:
Toronto Mayor John Tory (Tory by name, Tory by politics) apparently heard that the Liberals are planning on diverting 1000s more "refugees" to the Wormy Apple and expressed grave concern in a statement reported today by CTV News. Mayor John Tory says that the city has reached the limit of its ability to provide shelter and other social supports to new refugee claimants arriving in Toronto, and is in "urgent need" of assistance from the federal and provincial governments (read: from all Canadians who pay taxes to the federal and provincial Liberal governments). Fancy that!

Trudeau's plan to reform Canadian immigration system

As reported on WWW several times last year, hordes of non-white "refugees" and asylum-seekers have been pouring into Canada from the USA through an "unautorized entry point" not from a proper border crossing near St-Bernard-de-Lacolle, QC. They are being greeted by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, whose function is to tell them that what they're doing is illegal, and if they cross the line in the sand [snow, shurely! Ed.] they will be detained and taken to Montréal, where they will be given food, clothing and accommodation for an indefinite period.

Last fall, the Minister of Refugees and Immigration -- a Somali refugee himself -- assured Canadians that once the cold winter weather set in, the numbers, which had been running at 150 per day in the summer, would fall. Not so. Earlier this month some 400 "refugees" from Haiti, Nigeria and other shithole countries crossed from the land of the free (etc) into Canuckistan, and were bused to Montréal to receive their Welcome Wagon hampers and welfare cheques.

Trouble is, Montréal and the province of Québec don't want them. Last Wednesday, Québec Premier Philippe Couillard called for help from the government of Canuck Prime Minister Just In Trudeau. According to the Toronto Red Star, M Couillard said Ottawa's response to his request for assistance on the refugee crisis reflects "a complete ignorance" of what's going on at the Lacolle border crossing.

"10/4!", said M Trudeau's minions, promising that the federal government will begin sending asylum-seekers directly to... wait for it... Ontario, if that is their preferred destination. Like Canada, Ontario is presently ruled by a Liberal government, that of proudly lesbian premier Kathleen Wynne, who is facing an election on June 7th, so is even more keen than Mr Socks to import some new Liberal voters.

A spokesthingy for Ontario Immigration Minister Laura Albanese said the province is working with Ottawa and Québec, but that it was too early to comment on details of how and where asylum-seekers might be transferred to Ontario. It's not clear yet whether the "refugees" will be flown, bused or sent on one of Canada's famous bullet trains, but those who indicate that they want to go to Toronto will soon be hustled out of Québec.

The City of Toronto (John Tory, prop.) is making plans to convert underused armories, schools, and hospitals into "refugee welcome centres". The city's normally pristine streets are being filled with dirt and debris, and loudspeakers installed to play recordings of gunfire and roosters crowing, so the newcomers can feel right at home.

Canucks ask US Homeland Security to help turn back border jumpers

Canada's state broadcaster, the CBC, released a funny story yesterday, in the middle of a sleepy afternoon when no-one was paying attention. Regular readers of WWW may recall that the Canuck government has been affecting all summer long to be unconcerned about the 1000s of "refugees", asylum-seekers and other would-be immigrants who are crossing the world's longest undefended border to get into Canada's much-too-generous welfare programmes.

Most of the dark-complected illegal migrants being welcomed by the Mounties at an "unofficial" border crossing near Saint-Bernard-de-Lacolle QC are Haïtians and Africans. How did they get to that hole in the fence? Why, they came through the USA! Many of them, in fact, had lived in the Land of the Free for years before heading for the Land of the Free Lunch, in response to Justin "Junior" Trudeau's open invitation broadcast to a waiting world in response to President Trump's hint that the parasites had worn out their welcome in the USA.

As the number of illegals crossing from the USA into Canada keeps growing and growing, M Trudeau's Liberal government, facing a rising anti-immigrant backlash, keeps trotting out cabinet ministers and MPs to assure the angry Canadian public that Action is Being Taken and Everything is Under Control. But it's not Junior Himself who has to face the wrath of the people, nor is it Ahmed Hussen, the Somali-born Minister of Immigration and Refugees (sic). Noooo. It's usually poor old Ralph Goodale, the mild-mannered veteran who has the misfortune to be Minister of Public Secure and Civil Protection, which I guess means that the illegals are indeed a threat to the Canadian public, although of course Mr Goodale can't say that because of M-103. (Canucks will know what I mean.)

Poor old Ralph was again pushed into the spotlight -- like a deer transfixed in the headlights of an oncoming car -- on Sunday when he was interviewed by CBC News. He revealed that he had been having discussions with his American counterpart, Elaine Duke, the Acting Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, with a view to... errr... getting her to do something, anything, on the US side of the border to help stem the tide of illegal migrants.

Mr Goodale said he asked Ms Duke to consider alerting Canadian authorities when the US is about to make policy decisions that would affect the border, in order to give agencies such as border services time to prepare. He also warned her to keep a "wary eye" on the travel visas it issues to the United States. He explained that Canadian officials have identified trends where documents issued from "certain US embassies and consulates" are being misused. "We have asked them to go back upstream and examine the pattern of these travel documents being issued," he said, "and how come the people to whom they were issued appear to have had no intention of staying in the United States, but were simply using the documents as vehicles to get into the United States and then make a beeline for the Canadian border."

Not wanting to appear racist or Islamophobic, Mr Goodale declined to identify diplomatic missions that have been problematic, but CBC News is reporting today that one place where a lot of people seem to be getting visas to visit the USA with the intention of heading to Canada is... wait for it... Nigeria.

Mr Goodale and Ms Duke have apparently discussed other "joint steps to take to address illegal migration across their shared border." For instance, the Canucks have suggested, the Americans could put up some signs on their side of the border "with messages to dissuade those seeking asylum in Canada." Yeah, that'll do it, for sure! Can't you just imagine a US Border Patrol officer yelling at a busload of Africans, "Don't make me point at the sign again!"? Said Mr Goodale, "They're examining what they can do to communicate."

So, dear Canadian readers, you mustn't worry. Action is Being Taken. Everything is Under Control. Diversity is Canada's Strength! Vote Liberal!

Why no-one wants to take in Somali "refugees"

When President Trump issued his latest proclamation, "Enhancing Vetting Capabilities and Processes for Detecting Attempted Entry into the United States by Terrorists or other Public-Safety Threats" last month, the usual gang of do-gooders, SJWs and bleeding hearts denounced it as "racist", "Islamophobic", yada yada yada, since all but one of the countries named are Muslim majority states. One of those is Somalia, a failed state which has been exporting "refugees", including Islamic terrorists, to Europe and America for decades.

Use the search feature at the right to get a complete list of the many times Walt has written about "Somalis", and you will soon see why people from that wretched shithole of a "nation" should be at the top of the list of prohibited visitors or immigrants. Here are links to some of the more recent posts.

"Had enough Muslim immigrants yet?", WWW 20/9/16
"The Muslim invasion of Canada has begun (but not where you think)", WWW 6/1/17 - Most of the asylum-seekers mentioned in this piece wound up in Toronto, in the "Dixon" neighbourhood, which will be mentioned in a moment.
"Somali tribesmen of MN (!) fall for anti-vaxxers' BS, get sick and die", WWW 8/5/17
"Edmonton Muslim terrorist attack: Walt told ya so!", WWW 2/10/17
"Somali-Canadian Muslim convicted of planning terror attack on NYC", WWW 7/10/17.

Apparently no-one made the connection between the Islamic terrorist wannabe mentioned in the first post on my list, and the one mentioned in the last post. They are both Somali Muslims. So is the guy charged with attempted murder in the Edmonton "incident". He was first described by Canadian "authorities" and the lamestream media as a "refugee". Turns out his refugee claim was actually made in the USA, where he lived for some time until he was ordered deported. One step ahead of ICE, he then fled to the Great No-longer-white North, where he was welcomed by the gullible Canucks. The Mounties probably helped him with his luggage, as they have with the 1000s of illegals who have crossed the border at Emerson MB and Lacolle QC.

Speaking of those who crossed at Emerson -- see second story on the above list -- Torontonians may be dismayed, but will not be surprised to learn that almost all of them took the welfare and resettlement money given to them by the soft-hearted and soft-headed Canadians and made their way to Toronto, where they were welcomed into the ghetto known as "Dixon", in northern Etobicoke. That area is largely inhabited by Somali refugees, countrymen and perhaps kinsmen of Canada's Minister of Immigration and Refugees (sic), Ahmed Hussen.

Walt has e-mailed the Honourable Mr Husssen for comment on a spate of recent shootings in his community. Last week The Economist released a new index ranking Toronto as the safest city in North America. This comes as news to the residents of Dixon, who held a protest meeting last week (attended only by women and children -- the Somali men were elsewhere) to call for government help (= money) to deal with the seemingly relentless violence that cut short the lives of two young Somali "refugees" last this week alone.

Abdulkadir Bihi, 29, of Toronto was fatally shot last Thursday afternoon when police located him in a vehicle in front of an apartment building on Dixon Road. Police have since charged two suspects with first-degree murder in connection to the homicide. Four days later, a 16-year-old boy died of his injuries in hospital following a triple shooting in the parking lot of Kingsview Village School on Dixon Road and Islington Avenue.
The two other victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The deceased was identified as Zakariye Ali of Toronto. All involved -- victims and shooters -- are Somalis.

Now we come to this weekend's bloody atrocity in the place those people came from -- Somalia, first and foremost among the world's failed states. It is hard to argue with the proposition that Somalia is a dangerous place, even for natives. Not only political conflict, but tribal and clan warfare have raged there since early 2009 -- and that's just the current phase of yet another Muslim civil war into which the West got sucked in the name of peace-keeping. Remember Black Hawk Down? That was about the Battle of Mogadishu, way back in 1993, in which American forces took on Somali militia fighters, with predictable results. (I wrote earlier today about the latest phase of the war in Iraq. See the pattern?)

Mogadishu this weekend was the scene of two massive truck bombings. The death toll is now (Monday morning) over 300, with a like number wounded and injured. Somalia's alleged government -- whose writ does not run even in the country's capital city -- is blaming the al-Shabaab, an affiliate of al-Qaeda. The Islamic terror attack was one of the worst in the world in recent years, and the worst in Somalia ever. Al-Shabaab, Africa's deadliest Islamic extremist group, often targets high-profile areas of Mogadishu. Earlier this year, it vowed to step up attacks after both the Trump administration and Somalia's recently elected president announced new military efforts against the group.

In the wake of the massacre, the one-worlders, bleeding hearts and chattering classes will be calling on President Trump to "temporarily" except Somalia from the list of countries whose nationals aren't allowed to enter the USA. "Be human!", they will clamour, pissing and moaning about those poor people whose lives are in danger, who want to come to America (and maybe onward to Canada, or the other way around) to find peace and security.

At the risk of appearing hard-hearted, Walt would suggest that the only threats to the lives and well-being of most Somalis are threats posed by other Somalis! If you don't believe me, look at Dixon. They bring their political and religious strife with them, as part of their psychological baggage. Better, for us at least, that they stay at home.

Footnote
: Oh... Forgot to identify the three Somali "refugees" in the pix above. Check out "Minneapolis: Somali 'refugees' terrorize neighborhood", a story completely ignored by the Star-Tribune since it happened in July of 2016, during the election campaign. Briefly, a group of 20-30 Somali "refugees" terrorized a small neighbourhood filled with million dollar homes, screaming about "jihad" while waving Somali flags, shooting off fireworks and driving their cars onto sidewalks and lawns. They also threatened to kidnap women and rape them because "Sharia law says it's legal."

Number of illegals crossing into Canada just keeps growing

A couple of weeks ago Canada's Somali-born, Muslim Minister of Refugees, Immigration and Political Correctness assured worried Canuck taxpayers that the flood of "refugees" and asylum-seekers breaking across the US-Canada (See "1000s of Haïtians invade Canada as Trudeau government dithers", WWW 17/8/17) had slowed to a trickle. As surely as the sun rises in the east, statistics released today by his own department show the number of asylum seekers arriving at the Canada-US border increased by 82% in August, compared with July.

The latest data shows 5712 mostly non-white people intercepted (but not turned back) by the Royal Canadian Kilted Yaksmen [Mounties, surely! Ed.] in August, up from 3134 in July. More than 5550 of what the Liberal government calls "encounters" were in Québec, near the official border crossing point at Saint-Bernard-de-Lacolle. British Columbia also registered a small surge, with numbers there doubling from 51 people stopped in July (and then put on a bus to the welfare office) to 102 in August.

The figures released today show the problem is chiefly at land crossings along the world's longest undefended border. (And trust me, "undefended" is the key word there.) The number of asylum-seekers intercepted at airports has been steady at about 275 per month all year.

In total, 13,211 people have been intercepted by the RCMP in between official points of entry since the start of the year. The vast majority of them came to Canada in search of asylum from the evil racist regime of Donald Trump. At least, that's what they tell the Mounties while their luggage is being loaded onto the hotel shuttle. But the latest stats show that the number of actual asylum claims lodged once the border-jumpers get their welfare cheques is considerably smaller than the number of those stopped.

Meanwhile, the anti-refugee, anti-immigrant backlash continues to grow proportionately. The majority of Canadians, including immigrants who went through the proper channels to get into the Great Not-so-white North, is fed up. Will Junior and his diverse band of merry cisgendered acolytes pay any attention to the latest public opinion polls? Walt doubts it. Lifetime pct .978.

Majority of Canucks think government "too generous" to asylum-seekers

Ten days ago, in "Canada braces for tsunami of DREAMers", Walt stated, as the fact is, that the anti-immigrant backlash in Canada is growing stronger and stronger, as 1000s of bogus "refugees" and asylum-seekers -- most of whom have lived in the USA for years -- cross the Canadian border illegally at places like Emerson MB and Lacolle QC.

Here we see a group of illegals, carrying their meager possessions, being welcomed by the Mounties at Saint-Bernard-de-Lacolle as they cross the border marked by the "No Pedestrians" sign. Since July 1st (Canada's sesquicentennial), nearly 8000 of these economic migrants -- that's what they are -- have walked across the border into Québec to make asylum claims.

Canada's Liberal -- very liberal -- government announced yesterday that the "temporary" reception centre at Lacolle will be made less temporary (not to say "permanent"), as hydro and other facilities are being installed and upgraded so the bogus refugees can be fed, sheltered and "processed" throughout the harsh Canadian winter.

How do Canuck taxpayers, who have to foot the bill -- minimum C$649 per month per asylum-seeker -- for all this openness to diversity feel about it? No need to guess. A recent public opinion poll from the Angus Reid Institute finds 53% of Canadians are of the opinion that the country's approach is too giving. That's more than eight times as many as those who say Canada is not being "generous enough".

Asked to weigh in on Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s public statements about Canada welcoming refugees while also discouraging irregular border crossings, slightly more than half of Canadians (54%) say the PM’s messaging has been "unclear", and a majority (57%) disapprove of the Trudeau government's handling of the situation overall.

43% of the Canadians polled expected the number of illegal border crossings to increase "quite a bit" (23%) or "become a flood" (20%) before the end of 2017. (The poll was taken before Walt used the word "tsunami".) Asked how Canada should focus available resources, 70% would prioritize border monitoring and security over assistance to new arrivals, favoured by just 30%. No question was asked about the possibility of building a Trumpian wall, possibly for fear that the idea would appeal to a lot of Canucks who hadn't thought about it before.

Will Junior Trudeau and his Somali Muslim Minister of Refugees and Immigration pay any attention to this or other opinion polls? Errr, no. Lifetime pct .977.
