Your Sikhs today: Queensland, Australia edition

Imagine how long we've waited for a story we could dateline "Toowoomba"! Today we have one, proving (if nothing else) that the US of A and Canada are not the only countries plagued with Sikh immigrants -- legal or otherwise -- who refuse to conform to the social and cultural norms of their host countries.

The second "A" in the AABC countries -- the first being America -- is Australia, which gets its share (and more) of students and graduates of the internationally notorious Singh School of Truck.

Meet Dharminder Singh, 48, a taxi driver [See? What'd I tell ya! Ed.] accused of killing his former partner four months after the birth. Jana Armstrong, 30, was last seen at a unit on Gordon Avenue in the Toowoomba suburb of Newtown, south-east Queensland, last Tuesday.

Her white Hyundai Kona was found in the middle of the road on the corner of Jellicoe Street and Gordon Avenue early on Wednesday, sparking a search that came to an end on Saturday night when her body was found by pig hunters in steep bushland an hour's drive north of Toowoomba.

Mr Singh, a native of India, was arrested on Sunday morning and appeared by video link in Toowoomba Magistrates Court today. He now faces additional charges of arson and breach of bail, proving, if nothing else, that the Australian "justice" system is just as lax and alien-friendly as that of Canada.

Defence lawyer Ramli Salehkon, from Toowoomba Multicultural Legal Services, told the magistrate that his client is too "distressed" to enter a  plea at this time, and will not do so until a brief of evidence was provided to the court. In other words, "He'll place his bet after he sees your cards." Mr Salehkon added, "My client has co-operated with police investigation… [and] asserts his innocence. This matter will be defended."

UPDATED: Bondi Beach terrorists pledged allegiance to ISIS

It's just past 1400 FMT. Here's the latest information we have on the terrorists -- so described by the Anthony Albanese, Prime Minister of Australia -- responsible for the atrocity at Bondi Beach, near Sydney NSW, today. (Scroll down for our initial report, with video.)

New South Wales Police Commissioner Mal Lanyon told the meeja a couple of hours ago that the investigation into the shooting has "progressed" overnight and confirms officers aren't looking for a further gunman. He said the two shooters involved were a father and son aged 50 and 24. The father died at the scene -- apparently shot by police -- while the son remains in hospital in critical condition.

In response to questions from journos, Insp. Lanyon said the "50-year-old male" (he said "father" only once) was a licenced firearms holder and had six firearms linked to him. The cops think those six firearms were used in the "offences" on Bondi Beach, he said, adding that he vows to investigate the matter thoroughly.

Oh really? When asked whether the two shooters were known to the police and whether he will comment on reports that a black ISIS flag was found at the scene, the inspector said he wouldn't go into specifics or speculation. "We will look at the motives behind this attack and I think it is important as part of the investigation," he said, adding that there was no indication suggesting that either of the men involved in yesterday's shooting was planning the attack.

On really? Are we to believe that they just happened to be carrying six (count `em, 6) firearms -- as well as two "active improved devices"! -- as they went to see the Jews celebrate Hannukah on the world-famous beach?

When asked for the names of the perps, which must have been known to the police in order to obtain search warrants and find out about the firearm licences, Inspector Lanyon declined to answer, saying that was part of the investigation.

But... woops!!!... someone said the quiet part out loud. Listen carefully.

For those who couldn't quite understand the bingo-caller's accent, here's the name and the sources. The Jerusalem Post reported that the 24-year-old, whose name is Naveed Akram is a Muslim man of Pakistani origin, who had studied at Central Queensland University in Sydney. He was also previously associated with Hamdard University in Islamabad and the Al Murad Institute.

The Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), citing a law enforcement source, said Mr Akram was a resident of Sydney's south-western suburb of Bonnyrigg. Police raided his home on Sunday evening as part of the investigation. According to the Daily Mail, the Akram family has owned the Bonnyrigg property for about a year.

I think that's enough for us to run, once again, the same old South Park meme.

Walt wishes (Don't you?) that the two non-Christian Abrahamic religions would confine their wars of extremination to their own turf... say no more than 1000 miles from Armageddon.

UPDATED 15/12/25 with report from Breitbart News: "Father-Son Duo Terror Suspects Reportedly Pledged Allegiance to ISIS Before Bondi Beach Attack - The suspected father and son terrorist duo who killed at least 15 during a Bondi Beach Hanukkah celebration on Sunday were previously investigated by Australian intelligence for ties to the so-called Islamic State, and ISIS flags were reportedly found in their car after the apparent antisemitic attack."

BREAKING! "Allahu akbar!" in Australia? VIDEO

It's way to early on a Sunday morning for me to deal with this. The mojo wire is spitting oud disturbing news from the Land of Oz. New South Wales Police say 11 people have been killed in a shooting at Bondi Beach targeting the Jewish community. 29, including a child, have been taken to hospital.

Over 1000 people had gathered at the famous beach for a celebration marking the start of Hanukkah. One of the shooters was fatally shot by police and another was arrested after having been tackled by a bystander. Yes, we have video!

It's likely they were the gunmen were... errr... not Jews. So what were they, then? Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese called an act of antisemitism and terrorism. He did not use words beginning with "M" or "I". Ed. put a question mark in the headline because we know what you're thinking. Prove us wrong!

Sydney attack on Christian bishop WAS Islamic terrorism

The attempted murder of His Grace, Bishop Mar Mari Emmanuel, while he was preaching the homily during the Sunday liturgy at Christ the Good Shepherd Assyrian Orthodox Church in the Sydney suburb of Wakely, Australia, has caused some dissension in our cabin in the woods.

Some readers on Disqus amd elewhere pounced on Walt's first post, accusing me of jumping to the conclusion that the assailant was yet another jihadi wannabe. I was told I had a terminal case of Islamopbia, and criticized me for reposting this meme.

Ed. told me we the Aussie cops weren't disclosing the name of the teenage assailant or saying anything about his religious or other motivation, so maybe (Ed. said) just this one we jumped to the wrong conclusion. [We weren't alone! Ed.] So we edited the first post, and duly apologized the very next day (WWW 14/4/24), before all the facts were in.

The following day we posted the video, and I reiterated my suspicions. See  "For real, this time: 'Allahu akbar!' in Sydney", WWW 15/4/24. At that point, New South Wales still refused to say anything more than they were investigating what appeared to be a "lone wolf" attack by someone with emotional problems. And they still refused to utter words like "Islam" or "Muslim".

Now, almost two weeks after the dastardly attack, we have additional news about who the dastard was and who was behind him. Apparently he did not act alone, and his attempt on the life of the prelate did have some connection with some unspecified religion. Here is the report from AP. Please read it carefully and think about what's not being said, which we've indicated with [???].

Five teenagers accused of following a violent extremist ideology have been charged with a range of offences in an investigation that began with the stabbing of a bishop in a Sydney church, police said Thursday.

The five, aged from 14 to 17, were among seven boys arrested across southwest Sydney on Wednesday in a major operation by the Joint Counter-Terrorism Team.

The team includes federal and state police as well as the Australian Security Intelligence Organization, the nation’s main domestic spy agency, and the New South Wales Crime Commission, which specializes in [???] extremists and organized crime.

Two boys, ages 16 and 17, have been charged with conspiring to engage in or planning a [???] terrorist act, a police statement said. The older boy was also charged with carrying a knife in public, it said. Two boys aged 14 and 17 were charged with possessing or controlling violent extremist material accessed online, police said. All five remained in police custody and were scheduled to appear before a children’s court Thursday.

Two other boys arrested Wednesday had not been charged so far, police said. Three other juveniles and two men were being questioned by police but were not under arrest, police said.

More than 400 police officers executed 13 search warrants Wednesday at properties across southwest Sydney and one in Goulburn, a city about 200 kilometers (120 miles) south of Sydney. New South Wales Police Deputy Commissioner David Hudson alleged Wednesday that the arrested boys "adhered to a religiously motivated, violent extremist ideology." [???]

That's all she wrote. Now ask yourself... What "religiously motivated, violent extremist ideology" do you suppose they're talking about? Once again, the woke police forces and the lickspittle media are censoring themselves, carefully refusing to use wordes like "Islamic", "Muslim", "jihad" or "jihadis", or anything that might fuel the fires of Islamophobia.

But seriously now... do you think the "religiously motivated, violent, extremist ideology" could be anything other than The Religion of Peace (TM). C'mon now... Really??!! Dear infidel (non-Muslim) readers, please remember the old saying, "Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to kill you."

Another stabbing in Sydney. Walt was right, this time!

We took quite a bit of flak over our post about the First Sydney Stabbing, which was the work of a demented "incel", not an Islamic terrorist. Ed. thought it better to remove a meme which was included in "'Allahu akbar!' in Sydney, Australia", WWW 13/4/24, and we did apologize for jumping to conclusions.

However, we didn't promise not to do it again. Good thing, because before the weekend was out, there was another stabbing in Sydney, when a man with a beard attacked Bishop Mar Mari Emmanuel of the Assyrian Orthodox Church and stabbed him right in the middle of his homily! All this was captured on video. Click here to see the clip, which we posted yesterday.

At first, a spokesthingy (Constable Bruce Constable) told the meeja the motive for the attack on a Christian cleric was "unclear", but everyone jumped to the same conclusion anyway. We make no apology for running this meme again.

And so it was! And so it is, and (unless Santiago Matamoros intervenes) so shall it ever be!

Today, police arrested a 16-year-old boy who they allege (LOL) is the one shown in the video. Constable Constable's boss, New South Wales Police Commissioner Karen Webb, said the suspect’s comments pointed to a religious motive for the attack. She did not name the religion, but anyone who wants to bet (100-1) that it's not the Religion of Peace (TM) should just send me a cheque.

Said the boss cop, "We'll allege there’s a degree of premeditation on the basis that this person has travelled to that location, which is not near his residential address, he has travelled with a knife and subsequently the bishop and the priest have been stabbed... They’re lucky to be alive."

Commissioner Webb said the teenager was known to police but was not on a terror watch list. Notice the implicit bias there. He was only a kid, never known to be a terrorist, a good boy trying to turn his life around. Where have we heard that before?

The Australian Security Intelligence Organization, the nation's main domestic spy agency, and Australian Federal Police had joined state police in a counter-terrorism task force to investgate who else was potentially involved. ASIO director-general Mike Burgess said the investigation had yet to uncover any associated threats. "It does appear to be religiously motivated,: he said "but we continue our lines of investigation."

But wait, Mr Burgess had more to say. “Our job is to look at individuals connected with the attacker to assure ourselves that there is no-one else in the community with similar intent." Walt says, oh really? No-one else? This kid was the only jihadi wannabe imported into the woke land of Oz in the last few years because the Aussie politicians don't want to be labelled as Islamophobes?

Mr Burgess then contradicted himself by adding that the risk of a terrorist attack in Australia is rated at "possible" -- the second lowest level on the five-tier National Terrorism Threat Advisory System after "not expected".

He didn't actually say "Don't worry. Be happy." What does Walt say to his Aussie readers and friends? "Don't be surprised!"

VIDEO: For real, this time: "Allahu akbar!" in Sydney

Walt has already apologized (see below) for suggesting that the late Joel Cauchi (note the initials) was a fanatical follower of the Religion of Peace (TM). Turns out he was merely an "incel". His father told the meeja he killed all those innocent people because he wanted a girlfriend. Seems like a funny way to go about getting one, but there ya go.

However, there's no mistake about this one. His Grace, Bishop Mar Mari Emmanuel, was preaching the homily during the Sunday liturgy at Christ the Good Shepherd Assyrian Orthodox Church in the Sydney suburb of Wakely, when this happened.

Ahe man dressed in black -- so far unidentified -- approaches the bishop, and stabs  him repeatedly in the head and upper body. Members of the congregation, including a nun, can be seen screaming and rushing to the bishop's aid. Amidst the commotion, the assailant can be heard shouting "Allahu akbar!" as he is wrestled to the floor. The bishop and three congregants, including a priest, were injured.

Sydney police, who are got a lot of practice dealing with this kind of thing this weekend, arrested a suspect, whom they have so far declined to name. Don't be surprised if it's "Mohammed". They are also saying that his motive is "unclear". Well, some people can't recognize a blackberry in a saucer of milk.

An ironic sidelight to this story is that, according to AFP, the neighbourhood is a hub for Sydney's small Assyrian Christian community, many of whom have fled persecution and war in Iraq and Syria. We know the religion of those who are fighting a civil war in the Middle East, don't we. The trouble is that the Muslim Civil War, and the Islamic jihad against "infidels", is being fought all over the world. No place, not even remote Australia, is safe.

Sunday, April 14, 2024

When you're wrong, you're wrong. I admit it.

Following up yesterday's story, the BBC reports that the murderer was one Joel Cauchi (no, not "Mohammed" or "Abdul"), aged 40, whose home state was Queensland. He was "known to police" but never arrested or charged. Authorities have been unable to find any evidence of a terrorist motivation, and believe that the attacks were "related to the mental health of the individual."

Like millions of others, I jumped to the Muslim terrorist conclusion. Mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa. This might have been avoided if the police had released the attacker's ID right away, instead of "waiting for verification." But it shows you the world we live in, doesn't it.

UPDATED! "Allahu akbar!" in Sydney, Australia

A meme has been removed from the original version of this post, and some text deleted. Ed. 14/4/24.

Let me remind those of you who think Israel is being a bit hard on the Hamas of the ideology underlying the jihadis' attacks on Jews and other non-Muslims. Militant Islamists are enjoined by their Religion of Peace (TM) to kill all infidels -- that means us, fellow Christians, as well as Jews -- "wherever they may be found."

Many infidels may be found in the AABC countries -- America, Britain, Canada, and... oh yeah... Australia. It was in the wonderful woke Land of Oz that a man fatally stabbed six people at a Sydney shopping centre. The dead included men and women, one of whom was the mother of a 9-month-old baby who has not yet died.

According to the BBC, the "suspect", who was known to police and shot dead by police, acted alone, so there's "no ongoing public risk". So that's OK then. In an unsurprising fit of political correctness, the Aussie authorities have refused to name the "suspect", because they are "waiting for formal identification.

The Aussie authorities also say it's "too early to speculate" about Mohammed's motives. Could be he was just exacting revenge for the Jews' killings of 33,000 (and counting) of his co-religionists. Or maybe he's just calling attention to the need for a "two-state solution" in Israel, so Muslims and Jews can live side-by-side, happy forever after. Yah. Sure.

UPATE ADDED at 0910: Suspicions confirmed! We now have a picture.

Still waiting for the name so I can pay off/collect the bets. Lifetime pct .991.

UPDATED: Of Muslims, Islam and free speech

Four events over the last two weeks seem to be linked. I'll recap them and you can see how long it takes you to figure out the connection. [Kind of gave it away in the headline, didn't you? Ed.]

Item: Police in Albuquerque NM had their hands full, trying to figure out who was stalking and killing Muslim men. The lamestream press were quick to speculate that the murders were the work of a white supremacist, probably a Trump supporter. Fear struck the hearts of the local Islamic community, and politicians everywhere trumpeted the need for tolerance, and freedom of religion.

There were not a few red faces -- not from sunburn -- when the coppers arrested Muhammad Syed, 51, a fellow follower of the Prophet. UPDATE ADDED 16/8/22: According to Reuters, Police now believe Shaheen Syed, 21, the son of the prime suspect, may have played a role in the murders.

"We have a free country here – why did he do that?", asked another member of the supposedly tight-knit Muslim community. Turns out Mr Syed was "possibly" infuriated that his daughter married into the "wrong" branch of Islam. Apparently Shia and Sunni Muslims don't mix in America any better than they do in Iraq.

Item: Last Tuseday a Texas jury found Yaser Abdel Said, 65, of Lewisville, guilty of the murder of his daughters, 18-year-old Amina Said and 17-year-old Sarah Said, in a taxi in 2008. Mr Said had evaded arrest for over 12 years following the slayings of his children, which was provoked, defenders said, by the girls' insistence on comporting themselves like other American teens.

Even though the crime was committed in Texas, prosecutors did not pursue the death penalty, so Mr Said received an automatic life sentence. Why was the death penalty not demanded? Perhaps because the killings were, according to Mr Said's religion and culture, a "matter of honour".

No, those are not the Said girls. They are Asra Abdullah Alsehli, 24, and Amaal Abdullah Alsehli, 23, whose bodies were discovered in their Sydney, Australia, apartment on June 7th.  .

Item: The Alsehli sisters were last in the news five years ago, when they fled from a family holiday by jumping on a plane from Saudi Arabia to Sydney, where they claimed asylum, saying they renounced Islam and had become atheists. Their parents were said to be displeased and begged the girls to come home, but, so far as is known, made no attempts to repatriate them against their will.

When the rent on their apartment went unpaid for three months, the Aussie authorities went for a "welfare check" and found mail piled up outside the door. When they gained entry, they found the two women's bodies, fully clothed, in separate bedroom. There were no signs of forced entry or injury.

Police called their deaths as "suspicious" and "unusual", and are awaiting autopsy and toxicology results to figure out what could have happened. Although the sisters' background, and how they came to be in Australia, were common knowledge, Inspector Knacker said there is "nothing to suggest" their family should be considered suspects. So that's OK then.

Item: We come now to Friday's attack on author Salman Rushdie, as he was preparing to speak at the Chautauqua Institution, near Buffalo NY. Mr Rushdie suffered serious injuries to his neck, throat and liver when he was stabbed repeatedly by a Muslim now identified as Hadi Matar, 24, from Fairfield NJ.

Local police Sergeant Friday said they aren't sure what motivated the attack. Walt will explicate the muddification, and thereby come to the point of this article.

Salman Rushdie spent years in hiding after a fatwa (religious decree) issued by the Ayatollah Khomeini, for the grave sin of airing his "unacceptable views" of Islam and the Prophet Mohammed in his 1988 book The Satanic Verses.

Mr Rushdie, who was born in India to non-practising Muslims and identifies as an atheist, was declared an apostate, and forced to go underground as a bounty was put on his head. He was granted police protection by the government in the UK, where he was at school and where he made his home, following the murder or attempted murder of his translators and publishers.

Hadi Matar reportetdly supported the Iranian government, which had demanded Rushdie's execution. He reportedly posted a picture of Ayatollahs Khomeini and Khamenei on his Facebook page. According to an analysis of Mr Matar's social media footprints, he supports Shia extremism and the goals of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard. Investigators found pictures of Iranian commander Qassem Solemani, muirdered in 2020, on Mr Matar's cellphone.

Got the picture now, fellas? Can you say "Islamic extremist"? Maybe not, because the real story here is not that the victims and suspects all are (or were) believers in the Religion of Peace, but that the lickspittle media have consistently downplayed, or not reported at all, the religion and ethnicity of those involved. Mustn't stoke the fires of Islamophobia!

The liberal elites, especially the literary types, were quick to decry the attempted murder -- for that's what it was -- of Salman Rushdie as a heinous attack on the freedom of speech which we cherish and which must be protected, yada yada yada.

That's a bit rich, coming from the likes of Blackie McBlackface, Prime Minister of Canuckistan, who demonstrated his belief in free speech by clamping down on the Freeedom Convoy protesters, whom he called a "fringe minority" who held "unacceptable views"

It was his government who forced the Canadian House of Commons to pass M-103, a resolution that enjoins the sheeple of Canada from saying anything bad about any religion... but especially Islam. The Dumbocrats, especially the likes of Ilhan Omar, would like to see similar legislation passed by Congress.

Ms Omar is notorious for her anti-Israel/anti-Semitic rantings, but woe betide anyone who points out that Jews and Christians generally don't go around killing their family members or other co-religionists because of their "unacceptable views".

In our headlong rush to commit what James Burnham called The Suicide of the West (Random House, 1970), we allow followers of the Prophet to preach the triumph of Islam and the extermination of  apostates (like Salman Rushdie and the Alsehli sisters) and infidels (like us!), because to speak ill of Islam or its prophets and leaders is... wait for it... "unacceptable".

Further reading (and the point of this post): "Don't mention the Muslims!", WWW 14/10/15.

Still more reading (added 16/8/22): "Trudeau, Biden won't name actual threat to Salman Rushdie", by the estimable Rex Murphy, National Post, 16/8/22. Quote: "They ignore radical Islamists in favour of platitudes about free expression."

Another quote: "To listen to Mr. Biden or Mr. Trudeau...he was stabbed for standing up for the generalized idea of 'freedom of expression.' No, he was not. He was stabbed because a fundamentalist strand of Islam and the leaders of Iran regarded his book as a 'blasphemy' for in their words 'insulting the prophet.'"

Rex says it better, but Walt said it first!

VIDEO: MH370 - Time for one last search?

It's now been 8 years and 2 weeks since Malaysia Airlines flight 370 (MH370) went down somewhere in the Indian Ocean, during a flight which was supposed to have gone from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing. I have been following this story since Day One, and have always maintained that there's more to it than what the "authorities" are willing to tell us. Click here to see the complete list of our posts on this topic.

The mystery of what happened to MH370 is such that it has become one of the most controversial hull losses in the history of aviation. There are many theories, including conspiracy theories. My own theory -- call it crazy if you like -- is that there was some kind of interaction with a military airplane or missile coming from the American military base at Diego Garcia.

The prevailing theory  -- the party line, if you will -- is that MH370 was deliberately flown into the sea by the pilot, in an act of murder-suicide. The "authorities" searched in an area (shown on the map included in my post) which they say is where the wreckage should be, based on their theory and on radar/Inmarsat tracking.

Curiously, while there search has turned up absolutely nothing, debris from the lost airliner keeps washing up far to the west of the area in which they've been searching, along the shores of Madagascar and South Africa, closer to Diego Garcia than to the west coast of Australia, which is where the search was conducted.

A professor of oceanography who appears in this video from Sky News Australia, predicted before the debris was found, that it would turn up where it did. But he was never invited to be part of the search team. In this video, he and other aviation experts debunk the official story, and raise the possibility that searching in the wrong place is part of a cover-up.

Since this video was made as a TV special, it takes a while to get to the revelation of the exact location which the experts think should be searched. I won't be the guy who spoils it for you.

If the "authorities" really want to find MH370's black boxes, in order to learn what really happened, they have been told yet again where to look. Walt would be happy to see them do so, even if it turns out my theory was wrong. But I won't hold my breath.

UPDATED: Electric vehicles: not so green after all!

Breitbart News has been covering the Globalist American Empire summer camp, in progress [Geddit? Ed.] this week in Sun Valley ID. Those attending are the right-thinking progressive liberals who plan our future in such a way that they always manage to come out on top.

One of the things they have in mind for us, part of Sleepy Joe's Green New Deal, is forced conversion from vehicles which run on fossil fuels to the greener cleaner ones that run on electricity. Pretty soon, they tell us, everyone will be driving a Tesla or Chevy Volt [Didn't GM cancel those? Ed.], because gas-powered vehicles will no longer be manufactured in North America. Elon Musk will be so pleased!

We should be pleased too (they tell us) what with gas having risen last weekend to their highest prices since 2014, and further increases expected as the Biden-Harris cancellation of Keystone XL and other pipelines leads, as surely as day follows night, to shortages of the lifeblood of American transportation.

"Where am I gonna get the juice?" is a question motorists should be asking as they contemplate making the big switcheroo to a car that runs on batteries. "Range reluctance" is one of the two biggest reasons people have for wanting to stick with their old gas-guzzlers. (Sticker shock is the other. Have you priced a Tesla lately?)

Walt wonders if forced electrification is part of the Democratic (in Canada, read: Liberal) conspiracy against those of us who live in rural areas. The billions of dollars that are to be spent on "building a modern and sustainable infrastructure" [direct quote from Joe's website. Ed.] will be spent in places like New York and San Francisco, not Fort Mudge! Charging stations will be readily accessible to liberal city dwellers, but what will we do for fuel, out here in the boonies?

The liberal elites have an answer for that. It looks like this.

Yes, campers, it's an electric charging station that runs on diesel. They’re popping up everywhere! This one appears to be somewhere in the Nullarbor Plain, an almost trackless waste which stretches across the southern edge of Australia between the goldfields of Western Australia and the Eyre Peninsula in South Australia.

You'd think there would be solar power aplenty in such a place, but apparently they have the same problem -- how to store the eneregy until someone comes along to recharge his Holden Volt. Better to use a reliable (if politically incorrect) generator like this 350kw beauty. It uses 12 gallons of diesel fuel per hour, and it takes 3 hours to charge a car enough to go another 200 miles. That's 36 gallons for 200 miles -- 5.6 mpg! How “green” is that?!

Thanks and a tip of the Aussie outback hat (the one with the corks dangling from the brim) to Agent 6, who often drives 100s of miles a day in gas- and diesel-powered vehicles.

Note from Ed.: "Nullarbor" is derived from the Latin words for "no" + "trees". You already knew that, eh.

VIDEO: "Black Looters Matter": Aussie Sky News looks at Pennsylvania

These days you get more objective analysis of what's happening in the 2020 election from outside the Excited States of America than from the leftist controlled media within. Here's a hot-off-the-press report from Pennsylvania by Australia's Sky News.

"The Australian"'s take on the Biden-Harris ticket

The Australian is a newspaper, the biggest one in the Land of Oz. It is owned by Lupert MUrdoch's News Corp, not known for its friendliness to liberals and liberal causes. It was therefore not unexpected that the paper might be less than enthusiastic about Slow Joe Biden's choice of running mate -- a choice pretty much forced on him by the success of the #MeToo and #BLM movements. The current political climate in the Excited States of America is such that he couldn't do other than pick a Black(ish) woman to balance the Dumbocratic ticket. Here's how The Australian sees it.

Shocking, isn't it?! Outrageous! Racist! Misogynistic! Anti-Black! Anti-wimmin! [That's enough pejoratives. Ed.] The cartoon drew immediate criticism from the usual suspects, including some Aussie politicians. Andrew Giles, a Labour pol and shadow cabinet minister called it "offensive and racist." Former attorney-general (((Mark Dreyfus))) tweeted, "If The Australian has any respect for decency and standards it must apologise immediately, and never again publish cartoons like this."

Apology came there none. The Australian's editor-in-chief, Christopher Dore, stood by the cartoon, saying Johannes Leak, the cartoonist, was mocking Mr Biden's own words. "The words 'little black and brown girls' belong to Joe Biden, not Johannes, and were uttered by the presidential candidate when he named Kamala Harris as his running mate yesterday; he repeated them in a tweet soon after," Dore said in a note to the newspaper's staff, copied to Reuters by News Corp.

A News Corp spokesman declined to comment on the cartoon. So did a spokesthingy for Creepy Joe's campaign. End of "story".

UPDATED: VIDEO: Saint Greta visits an Aussi pub

Walt welcomes a new agent, assigned No. 35, and thanks her for alerting us to the existence of this short (2:08) video of the Chief Climate Alarmist, Greta Thunberg, addressing the crowd (Barry Mackenzie?) at the Armatree Hotel in Armatree (duh), New South Wales, Australia. Warning: Saint Greta may not have actually been speaking at the time and place suggested!

More recently, the precocious teen has been in Davos, Switzerland, for the annual gabfest of the big swinging dicks in finance and economics. She has been repeating the same old rant about how they (the dicks) are not doing enough to save the world from destruction. (Michael Moore said this week we've only got four years left!) In response, US Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin suggested that Ms Thunberg isn't the best person to give advice on economic issues related to climate change -- at least not until she goes to college.

At a presser at the World Economic Forum, Mr Mnuchin criticized the latter-day Henny Penny for calling on all and sundry to divest immediately from fossil fuels. Asked how such restrictions would affect the American economic model, Mr Mnuchin responded, "Is she the chief economist or who is she? I’m confused.... After she goes and studies economics in college she can come back and explain that to us."

Official Australian government warning to "refugees"

While we're on the subject (see previous post) of how racist and backward the Australians are [Walt is being sarcastic. Ed.] when it comes to welcoming the tired, the poor and the huddled masses, take a look at this poster, printed and distributed by the Aussie government to discourage refugee wannabes from even thinking about getting on a boat bound for Australia.

They will not be welcomed. That's government policy. Only in Australia, you say? Pity.

Immigration drops to lowest level in ten years... where???

Where, oh where, has the government cut the number of immigrant visas handed out to the lowest level in a decade? America? Britain? Canada? Surely you jest, especially about Canada, where immigration levels are at an all-time high! No, dear reader, it's Australia, the only country where the politicians have listened to the people who have demanded that the welcome mat be rolled up, especially as regards bogus refuees, asylum-seekers, and the old, sick and halt of the "family class".

Polling done in January by the Australian National University showed soaring house prices and crowded cities have combined to convince a clear majority of Australians that the country's immigration push must end. (The USA, UK and Canada do not have such problems, of course.) Less than a third (30.4%) of Aussies polled said they believed Oz needs more people. More than two-thirds (69.6%) felt Australia did not need more people, almost a 180-degree turn from the results of a similar poll done in 2010.

Apparently the Australian government (unlike those of the UK and Canada... especially Canada) has taken note of the wishes of the overwhelming majority of the country's citizens. SBS News reports that tough qualification rules and a preference for skilled workers has seen the number of migrants granted permanent residency in Australia fall dramatically.

Figures released today show just over 160,300 individuals were given permanent resident visas in 2018-19, slightly down from 162,417 the previous year. The number is nearly 30,000 fewer than the annual migration cap of 190,000. By comparison, the three major political parties are all for "welcoming" over 300,000 immigrants, while only Maxime Bernier's People's Party of Canada has called for a cap of less than half that number.

Another big difference between the Australian and Canadian policies on immigration is that the bulk of those admitted to Australia were skilled workers, with 109,713 immigrant visas -- about 70% -- granted under the skilled stream. And Aussie Immigration Minister David Coleman boasted of a 44% percent increase in visas granted to those willing to move outside big cities into regional centres. "Our population plan will ease the pressure on the big capitals," he said, "while supporting the growth of those smaller cities and regions that want more people."

The Australian government's reduced cap on annual permanent migration to 160,000 comes into effect this financial year, as it tries to address concerns about high numbers of foreign entries to the country. "NO to mass immigration", say the people of Australia. (OK, the signs pictured, which have sprung up across Oz, put it a little more bluntly!) Put up a sign saying the same thing in Canada and it gets torn down.

One-worlders quake with fear as nationalists win elections everywhere

George Soros, his puppets and minions, are much disturbed this week by results (actual and anticipated) of elections in India, Australia and the European Union. Around the world, nationalism -- not "white nationalism", but nationalism pure and simple -- is on the rise, along with anti-immigrant backlash and pushback against the globalists' one world, "new world order" agenda.

In India, the world's largest democracy (TM), exit polls suggest that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is on course to win the general election which has been in progress for the last two months. The official results will be announced on Thursday, but expectations are that the BJP will emerge even stronger than after its 2014 landslide, with a majority in the Lok Sabha (lower house of parliament) a possibility.

Why does this bother the gliberals? Who cares what happens in India? To find the answer, look up "Hindutva" in the dictionary. It means "Hinduness", thus "Hindu nationalism", not "Indian nationalism". (There can be no such thing as "nationalism" in a state with such a diversity of languages, races and religions!) For Mr Modi and his people (Walt uses the term advisedly) it's not "India first!" but "HINDUS first!", to the exclusion of Muslims, Christians, Buddhists and even Sikhs. The spectre of more sectarian strife, and even another shooting war with Muslim Pakistan, looms. The prospects for peaceful coexistence in south Asia are just about nil.

Meanwhile, a couple of thousand miles to the southeast, Australia's ruling conservative coalition won a "miracle" victory in last week's general election, stunning Antipodean pollsters, the (((controlled media))) and the opposition Labour party, which, like Hellery Clinton's Democrats, had been seen as certain to win. Apparently Aussie voters didn't buy into Labour's progressive plans to fight climate change and "inequality".

And there was the immigration issue, which proved to be a ballot question for the "quiet Australians" who fear being called "racist" but fear even more Labour's proposed "humanitarian" relaxation of strict border controls which have kept boatloads of bogus refugees on islands off the Australian coast. The Financial Times quotes Duncan McDonnell, a professor of politics at Griffith University in Queensland, as saying, "The heart of Australian politics beats on the right. It's a conservative country and I think there was a trend in this election in which voters asked 'if it isn't broke, why fix it?'"

And now we come to Europe, where opinion polls show populist forces set to make major gains in the European Parliament election to be held later this week. All of Europe's mainstream, pro-EU political alliances are expected to lose seats, with the big winners likely to be the Europe of Nations and Freedom group, anchored by Matteo Salvini's League in Italy and Marine Le Pen's National Rally in France.

Take note of the name "Europe of Nations and Freedom". The group rejects absolute the idea of a "post-national" Europe run by a supra-national government at Brussels which would have the power to override the wishes of the different peoples of the different nations which comprise the EU. As the sign says, their ideas of "power to the people" and "a Europe of free nations" are spreading everywhere in Europe.

Last Saturday, Matteo Salvini led a rally of right-wing populist leaders in Milan, as they campaign for the transformation of European politics. Sig. Salvini, Minister of the Interior and head of the League party, is at the forefront of a growing movement of nationalist leaders seeking to free the 28 nations of the EU from what he calls the "illegal occupation" of Brussels.

Sig. Salvini was joined by ten other nationalist leaders, including Marine Le Pen of France’s National Rally and Joerg Meuthen of the Alternativ für Deutschland. The event was a major tour de force for the expanding movement ahead of the vote that will take place in all 28 EU nations on May 23rd-26th.

In his speech, Sig. Salvini decried unchecked migration, pledging to close Europe's borders to migrants. He also attacked Islam, saying it mistreats women. He said Turkey would never be a part of Europe and rejected the label of extremists for the leaders with him. "In this piazza, there are no extremists," he said. "There are no racists. There are no fascists. If anything in Italy and in Europe, the difference is between who looks ahead, between who speaks of the future...instead of making trials of the past."

Walt explains motive for the New Zealand attacks on Muslims

New Zealand! Whoda thunk it? Check any list of World's Most Boring Countries and you'll find New Zealand right up there in the top three with places like Canada and Norway. Nothing ever happened in New Zealand, until yesterday. And then...

In the NZ city of Christchurch, at least three white people, one of them an Australian, staged attacks on two mosques during Friday prayers, killing 49 Muslims and wounding nearly two dozen more. At least one of the attacks was live-streamed on social media. The Authorities, normally reluctant to characterize such occurrences when shouts of "Allahu akbar!" are heard, were quick to denounce yesterday's attacks as "right-wing extremist terrorism".

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern described the "incident" as "one of New Zealand's darkest days." Clichés about "thoughts and prayers" were immediately uttered by Paragons of Virtue (TM) around the world, including even President Trump. Police have asked mosques across the island nation to close, as a precautionary measure.

Three suspects are in custody, according to Inspector Knacker. One of them -- the Australian -- has been charged with murder. Now it's time to ask the Big Question: Why did they do it? Is it simple Islamophobia -- fear and loathing of Islam and followers of the Prophet? Walt thinks there's more to it... and, at the same time, less.

What we are seeing, today in New Zealand previously in Québec and other Western countries, is the extreme expression of anti-immigrant backlash. It didn't have to be Muslim immigrants. It could have been Hindus (like the Sri Lankan Tamils) or Christians (like the mostly Catholic Venezuelans who are flooding into Colombia) or Jews (like the so-called "black Jews" who are migrating from Africa to their "homeland" in Israel).

People who are the majority population of any country don't like the feeling of being invaded by hordes of aliens from shitholes, particularly when those aliens seem intent on bring their shit -- shit culture, shit habits, shit work ethic, etc -- with them.

Think, for example, about Sharia law -- the Islamic "justice" that punishes adultery by stoning and homosexuality by castration or even execution. Think about the Islamic culture that not only allows but encourages husbands and fathers to murder their wives and daughters for bringing dishonour on the family, e.g. by wearing blue jeans or not wearing Islamic head-covers. It's not hard to understand why citizens of Western countries say, "If you want to live in a place where those customs are normal, why don't you go back where you came from?!"

I don't condone the killing of innocent people, no matter whether it's four dozen Muslims or the 1000s of Christians killed by Islamic jihadists in the Middle East as well as Europe and countries of the West. But I do understand where the killers are coming from, so to speak.

What I don't understand is why hordes of Muslims are flooding into New Zealand, Australia, Canada, the UK and the USA. I mean... I understand it in the sense of, if I lived in a shithole like Pakistan, I'd try to worm my way into the USA too, especially if I didn't have to give up my religion and way of life.

But I don't understand why people would go where they are obviously not welcome. The signs, like the one illustrating this post, are there to be seen. Maybe attacks like yesterday's are just some misguided people's way of making the message even more plain.

Footnote: Seems I'm not the only one who had these thoughts. Today's Telegraph quotes Australian senator Fraser Anning as blaming the Christchurch terror attack on the "increasing Muslim presence" in Australia and New Zealand. "I am utterly opposed to any form of violence within our community, and I totally condemn the actions of the gunman," he said. "However, while this kind of violent vigilantism can never be justified, what it highlights is the growing fear within our community, both in Australia and New Zealand, of the increasing Muslim presence. The real cause of bloodshed on New Zealand streets today is the immigration program which allowed Muslim fanatics to migrate to New Zealand in the first place."

UPDATED: Ontario Premier Ford nixes "Progressive Conservative" resolution against teaching gender ideology

Agent 3 is in Toronto this weekend, following the annual convention of the Ontario Progressive Conservative [sic] Party. One of Walt's favourite conservatives, Tanya Granic Allen, is there, making the more mainstream Tories uncomfortable by reminding them that many people who voted them into office last June did so because they expected a PC government to reverse the course set by the previous Liberal government on matters such as "progressive" sex education and gender ideology.

Mrs Granic Allen has an axe to grind, having been dumped by PC leader Doug Ford just before the election in which can only be described as an act of political cowardice. Premier Ford, as he is now, didn't want to appear too politically correct, lest going too far rightward cost him the election. Mrs Granic Allen and her many followers voted for the PCs anyway, and are now calling in their markers.

At the convention today, they voted in favour of a resolution to no longer recognize gender identity theory, which the resolution calls "a highly controversial, unscientific liberal ideology. The actual wording of the resolution is:
Be it resolved that [the] Ontario PC Party recognizes "gender identity theory" for what it is, namely, a highly controversial, unscientific "liberal ideology"; and, as such, that an Ontario PC Government will remove the teaching and promotion of "gender identity theory" from Ontario schools and [their] curriculum.

Although the resolution was adopted as party policy, it is not binding on Mr Ford's Progressive Conservative government. However, Walt suggests to Mr Ford that he would do well to listen, as his government reconsiders the sex education curriculum, to the voice of the people who elected him. As a former PC prime minister of Canada once said, "It's a long road that has no ashcans!" [What does that actually mean? Ed.]

MEANWHILE, in Australia, which now has laws enshrining a person's right to choose their "gender identity", a conservative senator is taking the heat for comments during a debate on a proposed Day of the Unborn Child, in which he "declared [his] gender" to be female in an attempt to shield himself from criticism over his stance on abortion.

National Party Sen. Barry O'Sullivan made the comments in Parliament on Wednesday, saying he was tired of being attacked for his beliefs.

Senator O'Sullivan’s motion to ban pro-abortion activists from the Day of the Unborn Child failed 32-12.

UPDATE ADDED 20/11/18: Ontario's Premier Doug Ford, elected in June on his promise to respect the wishes of voters who are sick of having gender ideology rammed down their throats (or some other orifice) by "progressive" governments and the lamestream media, wimped out on this one, annouoncing yesterday that he would use every means possible to NOT give effect to the resolution passed by members of his own "Progressive Conservative" [sic] party.

Just another politician who says whatever it takes to get elected, and then turns his back on those who put him in office. The deporables -- see "Bernier's People's Party of Canada wows Toronto 'deplorables'", WWW 20/11/18 -- won't forget!

VIDEO: "Allahu akbar!" in Australia - Somali immigrant kills and is killed

What with the excitement of the mid-terms, the fuss over Brexit and a longer-than-usual silly season, we haven't heard much [or written much! Ed.] lately about ISIS and Islamic terrorism. Too hot for the followers of the Prophet, perhaps. But they're still out there, still hell-bent (literally, let's hope) on exterminating us Christians and other infidels.

In Melbourne, Australia, yesterday, a devout Muslim set fire to a pickup truck laden with gas cylinders, and stabbed three people, killing one. He was then sent to the Paradise of the 72 Virgins by police bullets. After the usual stammering and stuttering, the Aussie coppers finally conceded that the "incident" was a terrorist attack. They didn't use the word "Islamic", but a police spokesthingy confirmed that the attacker was an immigrant from Somalia who was "known to police and intelligence authorities because of family associations.

The pickup was burning brightly in the middle of crowded Bourke Street while the driver stabbed bystanders and attacked police officers. The cylinders failed to explode and the fire was put out in ten minutes, by which point the rampage was over. One of the officers then shot the man wielding the knife, who collapsed to the ground clutching his chest. Video footage showed two stab victims lying on the ground nearby and bleeding.

Video posted to social media showed chaotic scenes as bystanders scattered while the attacker fought with police. One man charged at the tall man, wearing a long black shirt, with a shopping trolley just before police drew their weapons. A witness told the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, "Bystanders were yelling out 'Just shoot him, just shoot him!'" So they did.

In January of 2017, Bourke Street was the scene of a fatal "incident" in which a man drove his car at pedestrians at high speed, killing six people and wounding about 30. Australian anti-terrorism authorities say their vigilance has helped to foil at least a dozen plots, including a plan to attack downtown Melbourne at Christmas in 2016. In December 2014, two hostages were killed in a café in Sydney during a 17-hour siege by a gunman who was said to be inspired by Islamic State militants.

The lesson? If you're not safe from Islamic terrorism in Australia, where can you be safe? How about New Zealand? Haven't seen any reports of ISIS activity there, but just wait.
