UPDATED: Who allowed this jihadi wannabe into the USA?

Further to "'Allahu akbar!' in Austin TX" (WWW 1/3/26), we now have a photo (scraped from the New York Post) and more information on 53-year old Ndiaga Diagne, the black follower of the Prophet who shot up a bar in Austin TX on Sunday, killing two people and wounding 14 others.

The authorities are still "investigating" Mr Diagne's motives for the shooting -- apparently the slogan on his T-shirt isn't conclusive -- but haven't been able to suppress the truth about his identity and background.

The murderer is a former resident of the Big Apple. He arrived in the US of A on a tourist visa on 13 March 2000, during the Clinton administration, and became a lawful permanent resident when he married an American citizen [possibly white? named Karen? Ed.] in June 2006. 

In spite of several arrests over the next 6+ years, Mr Diagne became a naturalized US citizen on 5 April 2013, around the start of former President Barack Hussein Obama's second term. Before yesterday's bloody massacre, he was known to authorities in both New York and Texas as an emotionally disturbed person. We await information about licences he may have had for the firearms with which he killed.

Yes indeed. But it seems half of Americans haven't realized that yet.

UPDATE ADDED at 1250 FMT: Breitbart News reports these details, passed to CBS news by "an undisclosed source".

"On Sunday, investigators executed a search warrant on the Pflugerville, Texas home of Ndiaga Diagne, the deceased gunman responsible for the deadly Austin shooting that occurred earlier in the day. According to a source familiar with the investigation, law enforcement officials found an Iranian flag and photos of leaders of the Islamic Republic of Iran during a search of the home."

Walt asks: Is that enough now? Can we now say that the massacre was an act of Islamic terrorism?

Earlier today, on NBC’s Meet the Press, Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) said the American military strikes on Iran mean "the mothership of terrorism is sinking." Maybe so, and the sooner the better, but what the powers that be must recognize is that a lot of the crew were safely ashore in the US of A and other Western countries (Hello, Canada!) years ago! 

1000s of Islamic terrorists -- jihadi wannabes -- have crossed our countries' porous borders as "asylum-seekers" or "refugees" fleeing the murderous Muslim regimes of the Islamic Republic of Iran and other states of the Middle East and northern Africa. 

We welcome them as victims of oppression and treat them to housing, food, medical care and other benefits that our citizens have to work for and taxpayers pay for. Hell, we even give them money for "learing centers" where students learn to shout "Death to America!" and (of course) "Allahu akbar!"

One such is 53-year old Ndiaga Diagne, the black(ish) follower of the Prophet who shot up a bar in Austin TX early this morning, killing two people and wounding 14 others. Check out this video, and after that we'll tell you what the lickspittle media didn't. 

What went unreported is that the murderer was wearing a sweatshirt that said "Property of Allah" and another shirt with an Iranian flag design. That's according to an unnamed law enforcement official and "another person familiar with the case", both of whom spoke to AP "on background" because they weren't authorized to tell the whole truth to the American people.

Ndiaga Diagne is originally from Senegal, according to multiple people briefed on the investigation. He is said to have come to the US of A in 2006 -- a winner in the Green Card Lottery perhaps -- and was a naturalized American citizen.

The FBI -- the same folks who said traditional Catholics are potential revolutionaries -- said its joint terrorism task force team members, as well as other specialty teams, were investigating, and that there were "indicators of terrorism" related to the shooting. No shit, Sherlock!

Today's music video is inspired by news from Texas. Seems that the Texas State Commission on Judicial Conduct has suspended, without pay, County Court-at-law No. 13 Judge Rosie Speedlin Gonzalez, a week after she was arrested on charges of official oppression and unlawful restraint of a San Antonio defense attorney. 

The suspension order, issued yesterday, will remain in effect until the judge's criminal cases are dismissed, she [Ed., please check pronouns] is acquitted, or another order is issued by the commission.

The charges stem from an incident a year ago in which she had San Antonio defence attorney Elizabeth Russell handcuffed in court after a disagreement. The indictment alleges that Judge Speedlin Gonzalez "did then and there intentionally or knowingly restrain Elizabeth Russell, the Complainant, by restricting the Complainant's movements without her consent, so as to interfere substantially with her liberty." 

She was indicted last Thursday by a grand jury on both charges and was booked at the Bexar County jail before being released on bond. In a statement to the San Antonio Express-News, Herroner/Hizzoner [Ed.???] said she was innocent of all charges. "I will follow all protocols and directives while the matter is pending and we, my lawyer and I, plan to zealously appeal. We are confident I will be absolved of all allegations."

At least she washed her hands before going back to work

Interesting story from KENS-TV, the CBS affiliate in ole San Antone. 

  

San Antonio police recently arrested a 30-year-old school lunch worker for literally having a "closeted sexual affair" with a senior at East Central High School, where she had worked as a "nutritional assistant" (read: "lunchlady") for 11 years..

Jenna Michelle Woodworth was booked last week on a charge of "having an improper relationship between an educator and a student", a second-degree felony. The cops allege that Ms Woodworth had sexual intercourse multiple times with the student in a closet in the school cafeteria's kitchen. 

School staff found a photo of the teen in the lunchlady's work locker when they cleaned it out after she was fired shortly after her arrest. Both Woodworth and the student were interviewed by police and admitted to the inappropriate relationship, which the cops say was ongoing right up until they got involved.

During an interview, the victim stated that on earlier last week Ms Woodworth picked him up in the stadium parking lot in a district vehicle and drove him to the Learning Academy Campus. According to the student's affidavit, Ms Woodworth walked him through a back door of the cafeteria kitchen, and when she was done with her morning duties, "they went to a closet in the kitchen and had sexual intercourse." 

The student told officers the same interaction happened the following day. The affidavit noted that after the sexual interlude Woodworth would wash her hands and return to her cafeteria duties.

Walt is waiting to see if Ms Woodworth raises the Costanza defence: "Was that wrong? If anybody had told me that this is frowned on..."

"Allahu akbar!" in NOLA - Another year of peaceful coexistence begins

New Year's celebrations and festivities surrounding the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans were marred (but not cancelled) before dawn this morning, when a man driving a pickup truck rammed it into a crowd in the French Quarter, killing ten and injuring dozens more.

We were about to run the customary meme when someone said, "What if it's an 'anti-Islamist', like the guy in Magdeburg?" So we waited a couple of hours, and sure enough...

The FBI is investigating the slaughter of innocents as an act of terrorism. An Islamic State group flag was found in the vehicle, they said, along with an IED (read: bomb). The driver, who was killed in an exchange of gunfire with New Orlean's finest, has been identified the driver as Shamsud Din Jabbar, 42, a resident of Texas. It's possible that he is not unrelated to the Shamsud Din Jabbar who appears in this video selfie.

 

If this property manager of Blue Meadow Properties LLC in Sugar Land TX (not a million miles from New Orleans) is the person shown in this photo, he will no longer be in a position to represent you in your real estate dealings.

For some reason, the religion of the deceased terrorist has not been revealed, but if we are correct in our assumption (lifetime pct .987) he is at this very moment in Paradise, being serviced by 72 virgins.

Sleepy Joe Biden, speaking to reporters from his basement in Delaware, said he felt "anger and frustration" over the attack, which would never have happened had he only been re-elected. He is said to be considering a pre-emptive posthumous pardon for the late jihadi.

On the collection of horse semen for artificial insemination

Some time ago, Walt visited a farm where racehorses are bred and raised, and witnessed the procedure by which semen is collected from studs without the necessity of having to get them to mount a likely filly. The ejaculate is collected in an artificial vagina (AV). 

Several well-designed AVs are available, each with its own pros and cons, so AV selection is based on specific requirements and personal preference. AVs have also been homemade by users to meet their specific needs. 

Someone who should consider buying or making an AV is Cirilo Castillo, of Hidalgo County, Texas. Court records shared bv Breitbart News revealed that sheriff’s deputies arrested  the 54-year-old US citizen [noted to avoid comments about those damn border-jumpers. Ed.] at a ranch near Edinburg TX, after the owner caught him standing in a chair having sex with a white mare. 

He faces two counts of criminal trespass and two counts of bestiality. Walt wonders if he would have got away with it had the mare been coloured.

The ranch-owner said she recognized Senor Castillo immediately, as he had broken into her property in the past to have sex with her horse. At that time, the property owner caught him on video as he fled the ranch while trying to pull his pants up after raping another mare.

Senor Castillo has form (as we say at the track) for that sort of thing. He is currently awaiting trial on a separate bestiality charge from 2022 when the Texas Southwestern Cattle Association arrested him for allegedly breaking into a ranch in a rural area between the cities of Alamo and San Juan, where the property owners claim he sexually assaulted their mares, on several occasions. 

But wait (as Vince Offer used to say), there's more! Way back in 2015, Breitbart Texas reported that the same man tried to rape a horse only to be kicked by the animal. When the property owner said she went to feed her animals, she found Castillo on the floor with a broken leg. Authorities arrested him and took him to a local hospital for treatment. 

And there's still more! In 2013, Senor Castillo broke into a local ranch in Edinburg several times and sexually assaulted a mare named India. Sheriff’s office officials revealed to Breitbart Texas at the time that Castillo performed various deviant acts on his equine victims, including kissing them on the mouth and performing oral sex on them before getting on top of a chair and having intercourse with them.

10. Offer unlimited curry in the cafeteria (this will get you Indians): A guaranteed way to score some of the most sought-after employees.

Ed. has asked YouTube what TOS were violated, but has yet to receive an answer.

What does it all mean? Looks to us like the Alphabet people [not the LGBTQ2SXYZetc - the other ones. Ed.] are so shit-scared of the return of the Donald, not to mention the impending loss of control of Congress, that they will censor anything, anything that they believe will immanentize the eschaton.

UPDATED: Of Muslims, Islam and free speech

Four events over the last two weeks seem to be linked. I'll recap them and you can see how long it takes you to figure out the connection. [Kind of gave it away in the headline, didn't you? Ed.]

Item: Police in Albuquerque NM had their hands full, trying to figure out who was stalking and killing Muslim men. The lamestream press were quick to speculate that the murders were the work of a white supremacist, probably a Trump supporter. Fear struck the hearts of the local Islamic community, and politicians everywhere trumpeted the need for tolerance, and freedom of religion. 

There were not a few red faces -- not from sunburn -- when the coppers arrested Muhammad Syed, 51, a fellow follower of the Prophet. UPDATE ADDED 16/8/22: According to Reuters, Police now believe Shaheen Syed, 21, the son of the prime suspect, may have played a role in the murders.

"We have a free country here – why did he do that?", asked another member of the supposedly tight-knit Muslim community. Turns out Mr Syed was "possibly" infuriated that his daughter married into the "wrong" branch of Islam. Apparently Shia and Sunni Muslims don't mix in America any better than they do in Iraq.

Item: Last Tuseday a Texas jury found Yaser Abdel Said, 65, of Lewisville, guilty of the murder of his daughters, 18-year-old Amina Said and 17-year-old Sarah Said, in a taxi in 2008. Mr Said had evaded arrest for over 12 years following the slayings of his children, which was provoked, defenders said, by the girls' insistence on comporting themselves like other American teens.

Even though the crime was committed in Texas, prosecutors did not pursue the death penalty, so Mr Said received an automatic life sentence. Why was the death penalty not demanded? Perhaps because the killings were, according to Mr Said's religion and culture, a "matter of honour".  

No, those are not the Said girls. They are Asra Abdullah Alsehli, 24, and Amaal Abdullah Alsehli, 23, whose bodies were discovered in their Sydney, Australia, apartment on June 7th.  .

Item: The Alsehli sisters were last in the news five years ago, when they fled from a family holiday by jumping on a plane from Saudi Arabia to Sydney, where they claimed asylum, saying they renounced Islam and had become atheists. Their parents were said to be displeased and begged the girls to come home, but, so far as is known, made no attempts to repatriate them against their will.

When the rent on their apartment went unpaid for three months, the Aussie authorities went for a "welfare check" and found mail piled up outside the door. When they gained entry, they found the two women's bodies, fully clothed, in separate bedroom. There were no signs of forced entry or injury.

Police called their deaths as "suspicious" and "unusual", and are awaiting autopsy and toxicology results to figure out what could have happened. Although the sisters' background, and how they came to be in Australia, were common knowledge, Inspector Knacker said there is "nothing to suggest" their family should be considered suspects. So that's OK then.

Item: We come now to Friday's attack on author Salman Rushdie, as he was preparing to speak at the Chautauqua Institution, near Buffalo NY. Mr Rushdie suffered serious injuries to his neck, throat and liver when he was stabbed repeatedly by a Muslim now identified as Hadi Matar, 24, from Fairfield NJ.

Local police Sergeant Friday said they aren't sure what motivated the attack. Walt will explicate the muddification, and thereby come to the point of this article.

Salman Rushdie spent years in hiding after a fatwa (religious decree) issued by the Ayatollah Khomeini, for the grave sin of airing his "unacceptable views" of Islam and the Prophet Mohammed in his 1988 book The Satanic Verses.

 Mr Rushdie, who was born in India to non-practising Muslims and identifies as an atheist, was declared an apostate, and forced to go underground as a bounty was put on his head. He was granted police protection by the government in the UK, where he was at school and where he made his home, following the murder or attempted murder of his translators and publishers.

Hadi Matar reportetdly supported the Iranian government, which had demanded Rushdie's execution. He reportedly posted a picture of Ayatollahs Khomeini and Khamenei on his Facebook page. According to an analysis of Mr Matar's social media footprints, he supports Shia extremism and the goals of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard. Investigators found pictures of Iranian commander Qassem Solemani, muirdered in 2020, on Mr Matar's cellphone.

Got the picture now, fellas? Can you say "Islamic extremist"? Maybe not, because the real story here is not that the victims and suspects all are (or were) believers in the Religion of Peace, but that the lickspittle media have consistently downplayed, or not reported at all, the religion and ethnicity of those involved. Mustn't stoke the fires of Islamophobia!

The liberal elites, especially the literary types, were quick to decry the attempted murder -- for that's what it was -- of Salman Rushdie as a heinous attack on the freedom of speech which we cherish and which must be protected, yada yada yada. 

That's a bit rich, coming from the likes of Blackie McBlackface, Prime Minister of Canuckistan, who demonstrated his belief in free speech by clamping down on the Freeedom Convoy protesters, whom he called a "fringe minority" who held "unacceptable views". 

It was his government who forced the Canadian House of Commons to pass M-103, a resolution that enjoins the sheeple of Canada from saying anything bad about any religion... but especially Islam. The Dumbocrats, especially the likes of Ilhan Omar, would like to see similar legislation passed by Congress. 

Ms Omar is notorious for her anti-Israel/anti-Semitic rantings, but woe betide anyone who points out that Jews and Christians generally don't go around killing their family members or other co-religionists because of their "unacceptable views".

In our headlong rush to commit what James Burnham called The Suicide of the West (Random House, 1970), we allow followers of the Prophet to preach the triumph of Islam and the extermination of  apostates (like Salman Rushdie and the Alsehli sisters) and infidels (like us!), because to speak ill of Islam or its prophets and leaders is... wait for it... "unacceptable".

UPDATED: Thoughts on the Uvalde massacre

Do not look here for witty comments on the massacre of nearly two dozen innocent people -- most of them children -- at Uvalde TX. Don't even expect a lengthy "think piece", as I have no questions that haven't already been asked, no solutions that haven't already been proffered. I have only these few thoughts....

25 years ago, in A Walk in the Woods, Bill Bryson asked what kind of world we live in where even park rangers carry service revolvers. Bill, that is not all the world, just the American part of it. The "gun culture" has become hard-wired into Americans. Many think, with some cause, that if everyone else has a gun, why should I be the only one unable to defend myself?

Park rangers carry sidearms, one supposes, because they are responsible for the safety of park users. They might need to shoot a bear or a rabid skunk... or a stalker who prowls the woods looking for innocents to rape or murder. (Bill Bryson writes of a double murder, still unsolved, in Shenandoah National Park.) By that reasoning, it may be that teachers, responsible as they are for the safety of their pupils, should carry guns. 

That thought has been expressed before. After Sandy Hook. After Columbine. These tragedies dramatize the question of gun control -- should there be more or less? -- which dominates political debate this week. 

The SJWs, Democrats and other liberals seize on the opportunity to express outrage and demonize conservatives, Republicans and other law-and-order types. So we have the disgraceful exhibition of Beto O'Rourke (D) interrupting the press conference of Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R) to score what can only be called a political "own goal". Shameful.

The anti-Trumpers, SJWS, BLMers etc are having a much harder time with this one than with the Buffalo massacre. They can't put it down to anti-black racism / white supremacy, because the shooter and victims were all (apparently) Hispanics. And the murderer wasn't an illegal alien either, so those arguing for or against amnesty have nothing to say.

But the loony left and t hose pushing the "diversity and inclusivity" agenda will keep trying. One of the more ridiculous appeals I've seen is that of Jaden Janak, a PhD candidate at the University of Texas and a junior fellow at the Center for Applied Transgender Studies. "These children and adults who were murdered yesterday were just living their lives," Mr/Ms/whatever Janak said yesterday. "They didn't know that yesterday was going to be their last day. And similarly, as trans people, that's a fear that we have all the time." Oh dear...

Enough politics. To close, I want to talk about the expressions of grief and other responses to this and just about every other similar incident. "Thoughts and prayers" is such a tired cliché, so overworked, that people (particularly politicians) seem to feel something further must be done to honour the dead, and show sympathy and support for the bereaved. 

"Taking a knee" is too political a statement. So we have the lowering of flags on public and private buildings even beyond the border of the US of A. (Agent 3 reports that this has been done at schools in a suburb of Toronto.) So often does this happen that it's becoming unusual to see flags flying at full staff. Upon seeing a flag at half-staff [not "half-mast". Ed.], people ask "Who's died now?" The gesture is now so commonplace as to be meaningless.

So also with the makeshift memorials of flowers, candles, balloons and teddybears which appear within hours at the site of any violent death, whether criminal or accidental. Putting a stuffed animal on the pile in front of the crime scene is nothing more than virtue-signalling, like placing a wreath on a war memorial.

What good do these "tributes" do for those who have died, or for their grieving families? Within a couple of days, the toys and flowers become nothing more than a pile of trash, to be removed under cover of night by the sanitation engineers. Wouldn't it be better to contribute to a GoFundMe appeal to help with funeral expenses, or a worthy charity which is trying to help heal our sick society? 

UPDATE ADDED 27/5/22: Canada's Global News reports that Meghan Markle, the Princess of Woke, yesterday visited the memorial site for the victims of the Uvalde school massacre. Dressed in attire appropriate to the occasion, she placed white flowers tied with a purple ribbon at a memorial outside the Uvalde County Courthouse. Mercifully, she refrained from making a speech. 

The Duchess of Sussex (her other title) lives in California with her husband Prince Hairy and their two mixed-race children. Further comment from me would be superfluous.

True Stories Dept: Texas woman kills roommate by straddling her in "prayer position"

Today's entry in Walt's True Stories Contest comes from a report in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, sent along by an anonymous reader.

Gloria Ann Jordan, shown in the online wanted poster at left, has surrendered to police in Wichita Falls TX, where she will face a charge of manslaughter in the death of one of her rooommates, Gloria Farmer. [Sic transit Gloria? Ed.]

Gloria Farmer was a pastor, the cops say, and Gloria Jordan was her daughter. Police say Ms Jordan admitted to straddling another woman in what she called a "prayer position", but wouldn’t elaborate or answer further questions regarding the victim's death.

The Star-Telegram says Witchita Falls police first believed Ms Farmer’s death was of a medical nature, but a family friend came forward with concerns some days after the incident.

When questioned about the incident, the third roommate allegedly said Ms Jordan "may have been responsible" for the death of her mother, adding that she did not say anything earlier as she was afraid. Ms Jordan placed her hand on Ms Farmer's forehead during a prayer, the roommate said, pushing the latter backward and causing her and the office chair in which she was sitting to fall over.

Court documents say that Ms Jordan then straddled Ms Farmer's body, sitting on her chest while Farmer told her to get off because she couldn’t breathe. The roommate reportedly tried to move Ms Jordan off Ms Farmer, but the other woman is said to have stayed in her position until Ms Farmer stopped breathing.

Ms Jordan is now charged with manslaughter, and also faces charges for another incident that allegedly occurred on 25 November 2021, after a woman would only drive her to a medical appointment in Dallas on the condition that Ms Jordan paid for gas. According to a TV report, Ms Jordan allegedly yelled, "I rebuke you in the name of the Lord," as she repeatedly banged the woman's head against a wall. 

Ms Jordan is being held in the Wichita County pokey on a $150,000 bond. Whether a GoFundMe page has been set up to pay for a defence lawyer is unknown.

UPDATED: "Allahu akbar!" in Texas - Hostage-taker was British Muslim

This is just a short report, since it's Sunday morning and I have better things to do. And I'm tired of these stories. Anyhoo... 

Around 1100 CST yesterday, police were called to Congregation Beth Israel synagogue in Colleyville TX (a suburb of Dallas), where a man was reported to have interrupted the Shabbat service. 

A live stream of the service on Facebook (since deleted, for some reason) captured audio of a man talking loudly. He could be heard saying: "You get my sister on the phone," and "I am gonna die!" He was also heard saying: "There's something wrong with America." [No kidding! Ed.]

Four people, including the rabbi, were taken hostage. Others were evacuated from the area shortly after.

Apparently the attacker, who has not been named, but has been identified as a "Muslim citizen of Britain", was demanding the release of Aafia Siddiqui, a Pakistani neuroscientist who is currently serving an 86-year prison term in the USA, having been convicted of trying to kill American soldiers while in custody in Afghanistan. 

The attacker claimed to be Ms Siddiqui's brother, but her attorney told the Clinton News Network that the hostage-taker was not her brother, saying Siddiqui's family condemned his "heinous" actions. [No kidding! Ed.]

Texas resident Victoria Francis, who was watching the livestream before it cut out, told AP that she heard the man rant against America and claim he had a bomb. "He was pretty irritated and the more irritated he got, he'd make more threats," she said. 

The cops sent in the SWAT team, while FBI negotiators spent hours talking to the assailant. Explosions and gunfire could be heard before the ten-hour stand-off ended and the hostages released unharmed. Not so the unidentified (so far) jihadi wannabe, who was sent to Paradise where he is presumably being serviced by 72 virgins.

 

UPDATE added at noon: Authorities have identified the Colleyville synagogue hostage-taker as 44-year-old Malik Faisal Akram, a British citizen. No more information about Akram has been provided. As to the late Mr Akram's motivation, FBI Special Agent in Charge Matthew DeSarno said "We will continue to work to find motives.... We believe that, from engaging with the subject, he was singularly focused on one issue and it was not specifically related to the Jewish community." [Seriously? Ed.]

Further update added 17/1/22 @ 0600. Greater Manchester (UK) police announced yesterday that "Two teenagers were detained in South Manchester this evening. They remain in custody." Isn't that interesting! The FBI's field office in Dallas had earlier said there was "no indication" that anyone else was involved in the attack on the Congregation Beth Israel synagogue. And then this, mere hours later.

Innocent question from Walt: Mr Akram, a resident of the Blackburn area of Lancashire, UK, arrived in America just two weeks ago. Who let him in? Did anyone ask him his reason for coming to the USA? Just askin'... 

Apparently Mr Malik's brother, Gulbar Malik, wondered the same thing. "He's known to police," the brother told an interviewer from Sky News. "Got a criminal record. How was he allowed to get a visa and acquire a gun?" Good question, to which the FBI/DHS/CBP has no answers.

SCOTUS lets Trump... and America... down

Let it not be said that Walt ignores or tries to cover up bad news. 

The Supreme Court dismissed a prominent legal challenge Friday to the 2020 election results filed Monday by the State of Texas. "The State of Texas’s motion for leave to file a bill of complaint is denied for lack of standing under Article III of the Constitution," said SCOTUS. "Texas has not demonstrated a judicially cognizable interest in the manner in which another State conducts its elections." 

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton filed a case directly to the Supreme Court, challenging the election results from Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan, and Wisconsin. The suit argued that the four states illegally made changes to the voting rules through the courts instead of through state legislatures, violating the Electors Clause.

It also argues the differences in voting rules in different counties violated the Constitution’s Equal Protection Clause and cites claims of voting irregularities in the states. Seventeen states joined the lawsuit as well as over 120 House Republicans.

Justice Samuel Alito issued a statement with the dismissal that was joined by Justice Clarence Thomas, arguing that the Supreme Court should take up the case. "In my view," he wrote, "we do not have the discretion to deny the filing of a bill of complaint in a case that falls within our original jurisdiction," saying that he would grant the motion to file the bill of complaint. 

But Justice Alito signalled he would not have granted the state of Texas the ability to halt the election certification as the challenge requested. "I would therefore grant the motion to file the bill of complaint but would not grant other relief, and I express no view on any other issue." 

It seemed to me that a good argument could be made that the court had a duty to consider inconsistencies between the voting rules in different states. If one state, like Texas, has strict rules, and another, like Pennsylvania, has loosey-goosey that allow anyone to vote, early or late (and often too!), doesn't that diminish the value of a Texan's vote? Where's the equal protection promised by the Constitution if you can vote once by mail and once in person, and I can only vote once? 

President Trump described the Texas case, on Wednesday, as "The big one" and repeatedly urged the Supreme Court justices to have the "wisdom" and the "courage" take up the case. He must be mightily disappointed -- and angry too -- that SCOTUS refused to do so. Me too.

Still-President Donald J. Trump asked the United State Supreme Court today to allow him to join a suit brought by the Great State of Texas seeking to overturn the tainted results of the 2020 election by throwing out the voting results in Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wiscons.

In a separate brief, lawyers for 17 (count `em - 17!!!) states led by Missouri’s Republican Attorney General Eric Schmitt also urged the nine justices to hear the case. 

As I said yesterday, this is important, because this case is not about voter fraud -- not to say that there hasn't been any! -- but about the constitutionality of decisions taken in Pennsylvania, Georgia and other states to allow mail-in ballots and/or extend the time in which ballots could be received. That's the issue that could well upset the Democrats' cart of poisoned apples!

And here's an update, posted just an hour ago. Watch it now before YouTube takes it down, for the reason that posts alleging "voter fraud" or anything like that are no longer to be permitted! Only "authoritative news sources" will be permitted to talk about the election. The rest of us, including Mr Balmakov, are to be silenced.

 

YouTube and the rest of the controlled media should bear in mind an old adage: Just because you have silenced someone doesn't mean that you have converted him! UPDATED: Emergency debate on holding another election

A week ago, Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) asked the Supreme Court to hear an emergency appeal challenging the election results in Pennsylvania, contending that hearing the appeal "would be an important step in helping rebuild confidence in the integrity of our democratic system." 

"Today, an emergency appeal was filed in the U.S. Supreme Court challenging the election results in Pennsylvania," said Sen. Cruz. "This appeal raises serious legal issues, and I believe the Court should hear the case on an expedited basis." On Monday, he volunteered to argue the case for the appellants, if they wished. 

Not waiting to see if SCOTUS would "grant cert" (certiorari) in that case, the State of Texas last night filed a lawsuit directly with the Supreme Court challenging the election procedures in Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin on the grounds that they violate the Constitution. 

Texas argues that these states violated the Electors Clause of the Constitution because they made changes to voting rules and procedures through the courts or through executive actions, but not through the state legislatures.

Additionally, Texas argues that there were differences in voting rules and procedures in different counties within the states, violating the Constitution's Equal Protection Clause. 

Finally, Texas argues that, as a result of the illegal changes to voting procedures, there were "voting irregularities" -- putting it mildly -- in those states. 

So it would seem that, one way or another, the Supreme Court is going to have to examine the results of the deeply flawed 2020 election, whether the Democrats and their sycophants in the controlled media like it or not. 

The prospect of a redo looms sufficiently large to provoke a debate at an emergency meeting of the Mudge Country Current Affairs and Historical Society, of which Walt happens to be Recording Secretary. Here are the minutes of last night's meeting, held in the Naughty Pine Room of the Paris Hilton. [The Paris in America, not the French one. Ed.]

The special general meeting of the MCCAHS was convened on December 7th, 2020 (the 79th anniversary of Pearl Harbour), with Ms Cordelia Weatherbee in the chair. 

Mr Whiteman read the minutes of the previous meeting at which it was decided that the situation created by the recent elections demanded that every citizen bend his thoughts to the question of how the parties should conduct themselves in the next critical few months, after which coffee and sandwiches were served. 

Moved by Mrs Chodinecki, seconded by Dr McInerney, that the minutes be accepted as read. Carried. Mrs Chodinecki said she would also like to say a special word of thanks to the ladies of the CWL (of which she is President) for the coffee and sandwiches. Carried. 

Wilson Huang moved, seconded by our local Rep. Algonquin J. Calhoun, that a telegram be sent to Joe Biden urging him to take all precautions, between now and January 20th, to avoid tripping over his dog again or otherwise imminentizing his demise, which would lead to a constitutional crisis over whether a Vice-President could be sworn in to replace a President who had not been sworn in.

As President of the VU (Vizmins United) of Mudge County, Mr Huang said he felt sure the people weren't psychologically or financially ready for another election. In his own case, Mr Huang continued, he had been called upon during the recent electoral activity by the representatives of both parties and (looking at Mr Calhoun) one Independent, for donations of fortune cookies to be served at coffee parties (of not more than 10). As a result, he expected his fortune-cookie account to be in a deficit position for at least six months.

Johnny Crapaud rose -- just barely -- on a point of order, calling the motion gratuitous, ill-considered, insulting, inflammatory, irrelevant, immaterial and ridiculous, not to mention uncalled for an unnecessary. That being the case, he said, copies should be sent to both Mr Biden and President Trump. Mr Crapaud was ruled out of order, as indeed he was, in all respects.

Mr Calhoun said he craved the indulgence of the chair to say a few words in behalf of the proposition to which he, along with Mr Huang, the distinguished restauranteur, had lent their names and for which they were desirous of the widest expression of support. (Not for nothing is Mr Calhoun known as "the golden-voiced tribune of the prairie".) 

Mr Calhoun said that he, as a responsible statesman, was keen to see the electoral impasse cleared away so that a great nation might not be impeded in any way in its inexorable march toward the sunny uplands of a brighter tomorrow. Nevertheless, he recognized it as his bounden duty, having offered himself for yet another two years, not to stop one day short of the contract period.

Irving Greenslade, speaking for the Downtown Businesspersons Association, said that no man or woman or other was more desirous than he of seeing the nation achieve the sunny uplands of a brighter tomorrow -- in fact he already had in stock a number of fine summer-weight fabrics which the well-dressed gentleman would wear when we got there -- but that he believed the situation needed to be resolved decisively at the earliest possible moment.

Consequently, Mr Greenslade suggested, a petition should be sent to both President Trump and "President-elect" Biden calling on them to take office together, in a Government of National Unity (GNU), turning the White House into a condominium and occupying the Oval Office on alternate days. That would result in a virtual deadlock, which would have the salubrious effect of preventing the federal government from doing anything more to for the nation in this time of crisis. 

Dr McInerney said that as far as he was concerned, no GNUs is good GNUs, and he therefore moved that preceding motions and suggestions be tabled, for further consideration at a date to be fixed by the President (of the MCCAHS). Carried. God save the United States of America!

UPDATE ADDED AT 1830. Seven (count `em, 7) states -- Louisiana, Arkansas, Alabama, Florida, Kentucky, Mississippi, South Carolina, and South Dakota -- have now joined Texas lawsuit, arguing that the Equal Protection Clause has been violated in this election.

Ann Coulter muses: How about "Trumpism without Trump"?

I don't read Ann Coulter a lot, because I find her books and columns somewhat lightweight. And I've never heard her speak. Perhaps I should start paying attention, for it seems she delivered a thought-provoking speech Thursday night to the University of Texas at Austin's Young Conservatives of Texas.

Breitbart News reports that she strayed way off the announced topic of immigration, and argued that what America needs, in four years, is "Trumpism without Trump". Since most of the Breitbart report is quotes from Ms Coulter's speech, I trust they (and she) won't mind if I repost them, with just a few edits for brevity.

In Ms Coulter's opinion, the 2020 presidential election has produced "the best of all possible outcomes" for conservatives. "The reason I’m very happy that [President] Trump lost – and lost narrowly – is that a second term of Trump would have killed us," she said. "What we want, and what I think we can get in four years, is Trumpism without Trump."

What would that look like? Ms Coulter defined "Trumpism" as America taking care of its own people first. "The left behind, the working class, the middle class — they want jobs, they want safe neighbourhoods. They don't want to have to keep paying taxes for English as a Second Language classes and to pay for emergency rooms with a lot of illegal immigrants coming in with many...health problems. We have to take care of our own first. That's Trumpism. And it hasn't been tried. It certainly hasn't triumphed."

Why not? Ms Coulter explained, "[Trump would] say these wild things that we'd get blamed for, he'd get attacked on, and then actually did nothing. Trump thinks, 'I tweeted it. Therefore, it's done.'... It's ironic...that he lost this election, very possibly because of cheating. Democrats cheat all the time. … Trump has been talking about 'mail-in ballots are dangerous, they're gonna steal this election.' He’s been talking about it probably all year. [But] talking about it isn’t the same as doing it."

"Much like as he tweeted out, 'Law and Order'," she added, "and yet cities are still burning across the nation. [He] didn’t do anything about it. It's like he didn't know he was president.... So, I think the Republicans' position [in the next four years] has to be: This is the new Republican Party. It will be Trumpism, but we're getting rid of the eight-year-old."

Ms Coulter advised Republicans to remain focused on populist issues. "But we're going to have someone who speaks well, who is articulate, who hates the media, hates political correctness.... It'll be a lot easier to push Trumpism without Trump."

"I'm glad he lost," she continued. "I'm glad it was very, very narrow. And I'm glad we seem to have held the Senate. … And we have definitely held the House [of Representatives]. That means they [Democrats] couldn't do anything terrible.

"My friends in California were warning me when I was totally, totally on the Trump bandwagon, actually in 2015, after he announced [his candidacy for president]. In California they were all saying, 'Ann, he’s gonna be like Arnold Schwarzenegger. He talks a good game, he'll get in, he'll become a liberal,'" Ms Coulter recalled. 

She speculated that a Trump second term would have been like "Arnold Schwarzenegger's second term, except even worse. Jared Kushner would be out releasing criminals, passing the amnesty.... It would have been an unmitigated disaster, and we'd never be able to get the MAGA agenda back."

Ms Coulter's conclusion? "Trumpism without Trump — that is the winning formula!" That's a great debate topic -- something Republicans and conservatives need to think about and discuss, starting on the day Still-President Trump concedes defeat. It would be nice if that day never comes, and I would be on board if The Donald decides to take another shot at the presidensity in 2024, but, as Ms Coulter suggests, there must surely be other options.

Nonono! The CORPUS CHRISTI Naval Air Station... TODAY!

Seems like just yesterday [in fact it was day-before-yesterday. Ed.] that I drew your attention to the fact that the US government, in the person of Attorney General William Barr, conceded that the Saudi air force officer who shot up the Naval Air Station at Pensacola FL last June, killing three people and wounding another seven, was, in fact, an Islamic terrorist with links to AQAP (al-Qaeda in the Arabian Pensinsula).

Well, folks, it happened again. This morning. At the Naval Air Station at Corpus Christi TX. According to ABC News, the shooting unfolded at about 0615 CDT when a man sped through a gate, activating vehicle barriers which stopped the car. The driver then got out of the car and began shooting, wounding a security guard before being "neutralized" (military-speak for being shot dead).

A spokesthingy for the FBI tole the meeja, "We have determined that the incident this morning at the Naval Air Station Corpus Christi is terrorism related. They are working diligently with local, state and federal partners on the investigation, which is fluid and evolving." Wonder how they figured out it was "terrorism related"? Did someone hear the shooter yell "Alahu akbar!"?

The authorities have the shooter's car, obviously, but have not yet identified him. Not for publication, anyway. The FBI sez a second "person of interest may be at large." "May"? If you live in the vicinity, Walt suggests you keep your doors and windows locked, and beware of men who look like... errr... terrorists.

Did CNN really spin the Texas church shooting this way?

This is a follow-up to "Media don't know how to spin White Settlement church shooter story", WWW 30/12/19. As I predicted, the story was buried by the lamestream media even before the corpses were cold. But two days ago the Babylon Bee ran this photo

along with a brief report datelined "Atlanta".

The trouble with the Bee (which I read regularly and commend to you) is that you can never be sure what's true and what's satire. Beneath the article is this disclaimer: "A Babylon Bee subscriber contributed to this report." So maybe it's fiction? But I don't watch the Clinton News Network because of its obvious leftie bias, so can't say that the story is not true. I wouldn't be surprised if it is true. Would you?
