"Europe belongs to Europeans!" - Dalai Lama (!)

As reported here on WWW, Sweden had a general election last weekend. One of the main ballot questions (if not the main ballot question), was what to do with the "refugees", asylum-seekers and other migrants flooding into the country. The rightist Sweden Democrats, whose policy is to turn them back at the borders or send them back where they came from, did well, although not as well as hoped.

In a masterpiece of coincidental timing, the Dalai Lama, spiritual leader of millions of Tibetan Buddhists, weighed in on the subject on Wednesday. If he had spoken out before the election, he might well have been accused by the lefties and SJWs of meddling, for what he said came as a shock to the do-good weenies who are assisting the suicide of Europe.

Visiting Sweden to celebrate the 80th anniversary of its international anti-poverty efforts, the Dalai Lama asseerted that refugees should be repatriated to they can rebuild the shitholes ["lands", shurely! Ed.] they came from. Why? Because, the holy man told the earnest one-worlders, "Europe belongs to the Europeans!"

Speaking in the multicultural city of Malmö, where Iraqis are the single biggest ethnic group and native-born Swedes are in the minority, the Nobel Prize laureat said Sweden is seen as "a peaceful, generally prosperous country” with a relatively small gap between rich and poor." But then, according to Norrköpings Tidningar, he "spontaneously moved on to talk about one of the biggest issues in the Swedish election — the reception of refugees."

Noting that a large number of immigrants have settled in Europe from the Middle East and elsewhere, he said it was good for nations to help "a refugee really facing danger against their life" -- a subtle suggestion that some of the "refugees" coming to Europe were actually economic migrants. "Receive them, help them, educate them, the holy man concluded, "but ultimately they should develop their own country."

Right-wing Sweden Democrats make big gains in election

The ballot question in yesterday's general election in Sweden was immigration, and the resultant rise in crime and decline in standards in the world's foremost cradle-to-grave nanny state. Proportionately, Sweden took in even more bogus refugees, asylum-seekers and other undesirables in the tsunami of 2015 than Angela Merkel's Germany. With a population of 10 million, the Swedes welcomed a record 163,000 mostly Muslim migrants in 2015 — the highest per capita of any European country.

The result has been a spike in crime, perpetrated by the poor, disadvantaged "refugees". Large parts of cities like Stockholm and (especially) Malmö, have been declared "no-go zones", where the cops and other first responders fear to tread. Social services are under tremendous strain, as Swedish taxpayers are forced by their liberal government to pony up for welfare, health care and other benefits for the indigent newcomers. Both contain videos which should be eye-openers to those who think social democracy is the answer to everything, including racial and religious strife.

The Swedes are a pretty phlegmatic, not to say dour lot, and until recently have been almost as docile as the Canadian sheeple in their acceptance of the liberal dogma that all these foreigners are good people and will be a real asset to the host country if treated properly. But lately, increasing numbers of native-born Swedes have become fed up, and are being attracted to the new(ish) Sweden Democrats, who entered the country's parliament in 2014 with 49 seats.

The mainstream parties, who have coalesced into two blocs (the Social Democrats and the Moderates) to fight the SD, claim that the Sweden Democrats are neo-Nazis, racists, Islamophobes, white supremacists, yada yada yada -- the same crap you hear from the "progressive" and antifa types about Trump Republicans.

You can imagine the consternation of the liberals and lefties, then, when pre-election polling showed the Sweden Democrats with a chance (albeit slim) of winning yesterday's election, and a real chance of finishing second, which would leave them holding the balance of power in a parliament where neither bloc commanded a majority.

Well, the results are in, and support for the SD hit a record high. They saw their share of the vote rise from 12.9% in 2014 to 17.6% in Sunday's poll -- the largest gain by any party in the Riksdag. That should translate to 63 seats, a gain of 14 from 2014. The SD leader Jimmie Akesson told his supporters, "We will gain huge influence over what happens in Sweden during the coming weeks, months and years."

Prime Minister Stefan Lofven's left-leaning Social Democratic bloc, as well as the centre-right Moderate bloc, emerged with roughly 40% each, well short of a majority. The prime minister's party lost 13 seats in parliament – their worst result in a century. That leaves the anti-SD types in an awkward position, since both have sworn not to invite the SD to join in a coalition, yet cannot agree to work together. That leaves the Sweden Democrats with the balance of power. They may yet succeed in getting Sweden back for Swedes!

Swedes to raise retirement age to pay for welfare for "refugees"

One of the Big Lies that the human rights and pro-migration industries tell you is that bringing in hundreds of thousands of immigrants is good for the economy. They will be working, they say, and buying stuff, and paying taxes, and the economic benefits far outweigh the initial costs of bringing them to our countries and looking after them while they "adjust".

Walt calls BS on that one, and, as proof of the lunacy of the claim that mass immigration is a wonderful opportunity, passes on a report from Expressen that the increasing costs of population growth in Sweden -- driven almost entirely mass immigration -- have forced the government to seriously consider raising the national retirement age to pay for the additional costs.

The Swedish newspaper says that Magdalena Andersson, the finance minister of the country's socialist government, announced in October that the retirement age would likely be raised in the near future in order to offset increased welfare costs. "Looking at those who start working at 30, there should be opportunities to work longer than 65." she said. "Opportunities to work..." Dontcha love it? Forget about freedom at 55 or even freedom at 65. Stay in your cubicle for a few more years, while those who the Muslim-loving socialist SJWs have invited into your country continue to live in the houses and eat the meals which you have so graciously provided.

Ms Andersson made her helpful suggestion following an economic report from Sweden's Local Authorities and County Council released earlier. According to that organization, because of the dramatic rise of Sweden's population, the welfare state would grow faster than revenue obtained through taxation. The rise in population is not due to a sudden desire by native-born Swedes to breed litters of blonde, blue-eyed offspring, but to the influx of mostly Muslim immigrants, who do not believe in birth control and who outbreed Swedes by a ratio of 4 or 5 to 1. Some Swedish cities, like the southern city of Malmö, owe their population growth almost entirely to mass migration from the sandpits of the Middle East.

While the 1000s of "refugees", asylum-seekers and economic migrants are increasing the cost of the Swedish welfare state in terms of added infrastructure and cost for services, many are unemployed and directly on welfare. A recent report showed that while the native Swedish unemployment rate was just under 4%, the figure for Swedish residents from foreign backgrounds stood at almost 22%.

Prof. Jan Tullberg of Stockholm University did some math. Based on welfare and housing costs, education costs and other factors, he calculated that the one-year cost of the migrant crisis for the Swedish taxpayer could amount to as much as 600 billion Swedish Kronor -- over 70 billion dollars in real money. That's enough to pay for the national armed forces for the next 14 years.

Comparable figures from the AABC countries (America, Australia, Britain and Canada) were not immediately available to Walt's research team. [That would be me. Ed.] We would like to know, from our political "leaders", how much longer we will be expected to keep working to fund the Welcome Wagon for our new (shudder) neighbours.

Footnote: Speaking of Malmö, just a few days ago I posted "Followers of "the religion of peace" express their opinions on American recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital... in Sweden!" (WWW 11/15/17) which contained a video showing a crowd of Islamofascists in that city protesting the announcement by POTUS that the US of A formally recognizes Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. They were chanting anti-Semitic slogans and warning that "Jews should remember that the army of Muhammad will return." The video has since been removed by YouTube, presumably so as not to fan the flames of Islamophobia. So much for free speech on the Internet!

Malmö used to be a Swedish city. It is still in Sweden, but now it's "home" to tens of thousands of Muslim "refugees", asylum-seekers and other poor, misunderstood followers of the Prophet. Many of them are unemployed -- living on the largesse of Swedish taxpayers -- and have nothing better to do than turn out for anti-American, anti-Western, anti-everything demonstrations, like the one shown in this video.

These Islamists were ostensibly protesting the announcement by POTUS -- see Walt's post earlier today -- that the US of A formally recognizes Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, and will be moving its embassy there in the near future, as required by US law since 1995. The Islamofascists chanted anti-Semitic slogans and warned that "Jews should remember that the army of Muhammad will return."



Swedish state radio reported that the militant Muslims shoulted "We have announced the intifada from Malmö. We want our freedom back, and we will shoot the Jews." In typically Swedish politically correct fashion, Sveriges Radio broadcast only audio of the event, which would have been unintelligible to Swedes who don't speak Arabic (the country's new second language). I suppose they didn't want to show the video, or provide translations of the epithets, for fear of fanning the flames of Islamophobia. Fortunately, this video with crowd-sourced subtitles appeared on YouTube within a few hours.

The lamestream media, and Sweden's piously PC feminist government are pretending that President Trump was either lying or crazy when he referred on Saturday to the "terrible events in Sweden". Nothing out of the ordinary happened "last night" (Mr Trump's unfortunate phrase) they said, and it seems that is true, if you look at Friday night, February 17th. Sadly for the Swedish people, "the ordinary" is an ever-lengthening list of crimes, including rape and murder, committed by bogus refugees from Middle Eastern and North African shitholes. That is what Tucker Carlson was talking about on Tucker Carlson Tonight "last night". Check this out.



On Fox & Friends this morning, Mr Carlson said, "It seems like we may be missing the point of the story, which is there has been a massive social cost associated with the refugee policies and the immigration policies of Western Europe. Fifty years of immigration policy is coming to flower in Europe. We're not paying any attention. We're not drawing any of the obvious lessons from it. It's not working. That's the real point here."

President Trump referred to Malmö, a city in southern Sweden whose population is over 80% Muslim migrants -- legal and illegal. In January, the city's police chief issued a desperate plea for help curtailing a plague of attempted murders, beatings and rapes. "We cannot do it on our own," Chief Stefan Sinteus wrote in an open letter about the "upward spiral of violence". And it's not just typical crimes that any modern city would witness that he's talking about. Apart from the murders and rapes, Malmö had 52 hand grenade attacks last year, a jump from 48 such attacks in 2015.

And Chief Sinteus is not the only Swedish chef ["cop", shurely! Ed.] concerned about the Islamic crime wave. Police investigator Peter Springare is being investigated by the PC police now for a Facebook post in which he details what he saw during a typical week in the city of Orebro. His caseload for a five-day period earlier this month included: five rapes, three assaults, a pair of extortions, blackmail, an attempted murder, violence against police and a robbery. The suspects were all from Muslim-majority countries – Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, Somalia and Turkey – except for one native Swede nabbed in a drug-related case. Describing those arrested, Mr Springare wrote, "Mohammed, Mahmod, Ali, again and again."

Here's another video on the terrible problems created by Muslim migrants in Sweden, to which President Trump was referring. Should we not be concerned about what happens when we allow hordes of them into our country? Or is that just being "Islamophobic"?
