Islamic takeover of Europe feared 1338 years ago

Archaeologists excavating under London's Fleet Street during road works have unearthed a fragment of a seventh-century newspaper in which concern was expressed about the spread of Islam across North Africa and into Europe.

OK, ya got us. This little spoof appeared in the UK satirical magazine Private Eye in February of 2013. In 683 A.D., the followers of the Religion of Peace (TM) were, even then, engaged in not the First but the Second Islamic Civil War. 

In September of that year, Yazidi besieged the holy city of Mecca, and bombarded it with catapults. The Kaaba -- the holiest site in Islam -- was severely damaged, and the Black Stone inside it split into three pieces. It was later rebuilt, and the reassembled fragments of the Black Stone set into a silver frame, now remounted them in the Kaaba's eastern corner, where devout Muslims throw stones at it during the Haj.

There are still Yazidis in the Middle East, living mostly in "Kurdistan" -- the disputed territories of northern Iraq and eastern Turkey where both Sunni and Shia Muslims regularly attack them, and vice versa. 

The Islamists no longer attempt to invade Europe by force of arms. Nowadays they do it as "refugees" and "asylum-seekers" who cross the Mediterranean from North Africa by the 1000s and are welcomed by the bleeding heart liberals and others  (Hello George! Hello Francis!) trying to preciptate the end of Christian civilization.

Jew calls Canada's welcome of 1000s of Muslim refugees "reckless, politically correct thinking"

Lawrence Solomon is a columnist with Canada’s National Post. His name suggests that he is not Lawrence of Arabia, but Lawrence of... err... let's just say he's of the Jewish persuasion. His religion has nothing to do, of course, with the thoughts expressed in his piece headed "Europe is planning to deport hundreds of thousands of Muslims", which appeared on the Post website today.

The gist of Mr. Solomon's message to Canucks is to be found in the conclusion: "Canada's historic approach to immigration since Confederation – welcoming the multitudes who would fit in, but also requiring them to fit it – has served this country well, allowing us to maintain our liberties and grow our economy. Europe’s cautionary tale, coming to us now as it does, when we are at risk of falling prey to reckless, politically correct thinking on immigration, could not have been a more timely reminder of the ways in which our ​historic ​immigration ​policies have been ​wise."

For those who don't geddit, he is saying that if the "historic immigration policies" were wise, the Justin Trudeau's new policies are unwise. Got it now? Mr. Solomon calls open-door immigration policies such as Angela Merkel's now-discredited Willkommenskultur, the product of "a soft-headed if soft-hearted desire to help desperate refugees." Without saying "I told you so" (for he didn't!) he says it's all ending badly. And he has some statistics from Europe to prove it.

Sweden, he writes, is planning to deport half of its 160,000 migrants. Finland plans to deport two-thirds of its 32,000 migrants. And Germany intends to deport all migrants who arrived under false pretenses – a number that could total many hundreds of thousands – as well as all migrants from Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia, which Germany now deems “safe” countries because they are not at war.

Mr. Solomon goes on to cite, again, the New Year's Eve rape-fest in Cologne, Germany. He says that, "although government officials and the mainstream press initially tried to cover up the extent of the wrong-doing, an estimated 1,000 Muslims in Cologne alone participated in 'Taharrush' a practice of encircling, groping and sometimes raping women..."

Mr. Solomon writes dispassionately of course. He does not personally point the racist finger of blame at Muslims. He merely reports that law enforcement officials and NGOs in many countries attribute a disproportionate number of rapes to young, single Muslim men. And, he goes on, "crime by migrants is rampant. Hamburg police reports 20,000 purse-snatches a year, 90 per cent of them by males in their 20s from North Africa or the Balkans. In 2014, even before the migrant stampede accelerated, 38,000 asylum seekers had been accused of committing crimes."

Canada, the writer concludes, has been lucky... so far... because it has not yet accepted "untoward levels of migrants". But there is still the matter of M Trudeau's rash promise, after his government failed to meet its target of admitting 25,000 by the end of last year, to raise the number of Syrian migrants to 50,000 by the end of 2016. If you go through with this unwise plan, Mr. Solomon seems to be saying, it will end just as badly as it is now in Europe. Don't say he [and Walt! Ed.] didn't warn you.

Arab, African sex attackers make Germans rethink Willkommenskultur

Germans are marching in the streets again! But this time it's mostly women (and some men), marching in the streets of (Cologne) to protest numerous sexual assaults and thefts near the city's famous cathedral and Hauptranhof during New Year's Day "celebrations".

The Köln Express quotes Katja L., an eyewitness: "When we came out of the station, we were very surprised by the group that met us there. It was exclusively young foreign men. I linked arms with [another young woman] and her boyfriend. We then walked through this group of men, who opened up like a lane through which we had to go. Suddenly I felt a hand on my buttocks, then on my breasts, after all, I was groped everywhere. It was a nightmare. Although we shouted, and tried to defend ourselves, they did not stop. I was desperate and I think I was touched around 100 times in the 200 meters.

"The men shouted things like 'Ficki, Ficki!' and 'sluts'. I was lucky that I was wearing trousers and a jacket. If I had been wearing a skirt, it would have been torn away from me. Another girl we saw at the police station had had her pantyhose and panties almost completely torn from her body. I was devastated, angry, and scared at the same time. I hope that the police get to grips with these people, otherwise I will never go to a celebration in the city again."

Nearly 100 women have reported being sexually molested, threatened and robbed outside Cologne Cathedral by men of "Arab or North African" origin, police said yesterday. At first the lamestream press shied away from reporting the ethnic origin of the perps, but not the Express and others acknowledge that the assaults last week have prompted outrage in Germany and a fresh debate about immigration and the wisdom of German Chancellor Angela Merkel's "Willkommenskultur" -- opening arms (and legs?) in welcome to hordes of "refugees" from the Middle East and Africa.

Police said some of the assaults in Cologne appeared similar to incidents that have been reported over the past two years in Düsseldorf -- about 25 miles from Köln -- where non-Aryan men have groped women to distract them before stealing their belongings. Inspektor Katzenjammer said that since the start of 2014, officers there have identified more than 2,000 suspects of North African origin in connection with what he called "organized" thefts. He declined to say whether there have been any arrests in those cases, but added, "Ve haf vays of making zem talk!"

Because no-one has been arrested in either Düsseldorf or Köln, the official government line is that the nationality and residency status of the suspects is still unknown. [Ja! Das is politisch korrekten! Ed.] But according to Interior Ministry figures released just this morning, Germany registered nearly 1.1 million people as asylum-seekers last year. The "Köln incident" must surely give strength to the arguments of politicians -- and the marchers in the streets -- who are calling for limits on migration.

Islamic world disorder

Still more on what's wrong with the Muslims and their religion. Before you accuse Walt of being a racist [Surely not! Ed.], consider the argument that there must be something wrong with a people and a part of the world which is not progressing -- no matter how you measure "progress" -- as quickly as any other part of the world, not even sub-Saharan Africa.

The part of the world to which I refer is the Middle East and north Africa. At least three countries in those regions are actually regressing: Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria. Two others -- Somalia and Libya -- are "failed states". Somalia has been acknowledged as such for twenty years, and Libya was accorded that "status", more or less, in last week's issue of The Economist.

The people of those regions are followers of the Prophet Mohammed -- Muslims. So are their rulers, some fanatically so. (Hello, Saudis!) Is there, then, some link between their religion and the political, economic and social turmoil -- not forgetting civil and sectarian wars -- now raging in that area?

RIP Charlie Hebdo: - casualty of the Islamic war on the West

The victims of today's massacre -- for that's what it was -- are casualties of the Islamic war against the West.

The BBC's religious affairs correspondent, Caroline Wyatt, writes:

These latest shootings may be the work of "lone wolves" but their consequences will ripple across Europe and provoke much soul-searching about the failure of integration over the past decades.

Immigrant communities are already being viewed with increasing suspicion in both France and Germany, with their significant Muslim populations, and even in the UK.

In all three, mainstream political parties are being forced to confront popular discontent over levels of immigration and the apparent desire of some younger, often disaffected children or grandchildren of immigrant families not to conform to western, liberal lifestyles - including traditions of religious tolerance and free speech.

Through all this, ultra-PC Western politicians and the lamestream press still shy away from speaking the truth, that the three men being hunted are Islamic terrorists. "They were French citizens", we are told, and "they spoke perfect French."

What we are not told is that they were of North African descent, three of the five million Muslims living in France. That's 7.5% of the French population, the largest Muslim population in Europe. They may be in Europe, but as followers of the Prophet, they are not of Europe. And that's the truth.
