On the National news last night, CBC-TV carried a long and informative piece on the over-fishing by Europeans of the blue-fin tuna. Stocks are OK in the western Atlantic, but closer to Europe the mighty (and mighty tasty) fish is close to "commercial extinction". So says Dr. Boris Worm. Isn't that a great name for an icthyologist? Or for someone who studies fish?
And if Dr. Worm should change his mind about the threat to the blue-fin tuna, wouldn't that be a case of the worm having turned?
