New poll shows nativist, anti-immigrant sentiments growing in Canada

The Canadian elites -- the liberal politicians of the mainstream parties, the lamestream media and the commentariat (Hello, Andrew Coyne, Paul Wells, Rosie Barton, Chantal Hébert -- all of whom appear on CBC's At Issue to tell Canucks what to think) -- have been trying for weeks now to assure the gullible that mass immigration is a non-issue in the upcoming federal election, that all Canadians agree the country needs more immigrants, and that (as Mr Socks used to say) "diversity is our strength."

That, they say, is why it's not necessary to include Maxime Bernier, leader of the People's Party of Canada, in the Leaders' Debates scheduled for October 7th and 10th. "Don't listen to him," they say. "He only represents the opinions of a tiny minority of racists, Islamophobes, and white supremacists."

WRONG! A new Ipsos poll, published today by Canada's Global TV, reveals that the majority of Canadians think politicians aren't concerned with people like them and experts (Hello, Andrew Coyne et al.) don't understand them. They say Canadian society is "broken" and the economy is rigged in favour of elites. Worse yet for the multiculti, pro-immigrant crowd, the poll shows that populist attitudes -- as well as nativist, anti-immigrant sentiments -- have gained new ground across Canada.

Global quotes Darrell Bricker, CEO of Ipsos, as ssaying that the general sentiments "create a series of difficulties for all the parties." With respect to Mr Bricker, he should have said "all the parties except the People's Party of Canada". Maxime Bernier and his party have been excoriataed by the commentariat for daring to suggest that Canada needs fewer immigrants, not more. (See "'No mass immigration' signs torn down, censorship complete", WWW 27/8/19.) Only the PPC has a real alternative to the prevailing orthodoxy on questions of immigration and the cult of diversity which is tearing Canada apart.

According to the survey, conducted at the end of March and early April, 61% of respondents agreed traditional political parties don't care about people like them. That's an increase of 5 percentage points over the result of a poll done in 2016, the first year of Prime Minister Just In Trudeau's mandate. Two-thirds of respondents believe the economy is rigged to benefit the rich (Well, duh!). That's up eight points since 2016. But there's an even more disturbing finding.

The majority of respondents (52%) agreed that society is "broken" -- an increase of 15 points over three years ago. Only 19% disagreed, while 28% said they were neutral [the default Canadian answer? Ed.] and 1% said they don't know. But wait (as Vince Offer used to say), there's more!

The poll also found that 41% cent of respondents believed immigrants are taking away crucial social services (such as health care) from "real Canadians" -- a 6-point increase from 2016. Just over a third said they disagree, while more than fifth chose the default answer.

Global asked Mr Bricker what's fuelling what they called "the shift toward populism". The Ipsos CEO answered that Canadian politics has become more "tribal". Imagine that, in a country whose leader preaches incessantly that "diversity is our strength!" Could it be that that's a lie? That strength comes from unity, not diversity?

Mr Bricker added that the distribution of political support has changed in Canada. "You have a lot of stuff here where it's the downtown Laurentian elite versus everybody else," he said. "If I broke this out and took at look at where these feelings are the strongest, they would be outside of the downtowns of the cities, so that cleavage has been created. Also when you get to Western Canada, the feelings are much stronger."

What does all this portend for the October election, and especially for the future of Mr Socks' gliberal government? All the polls and pundits (named and shamed above) keep saying that the People's Party has only 2% support, and that Max Bernier will be lucky to win his own seat, let alone any others. Walt says -- you read it here first -- that the polls and pundits are WRONG, WRONG, WRONG. Just as a lot of Americans would not disclose to pollsters and reporters from the lamestream media their preference for Donald Trump -- a leader who stood up for the ordinary people -- so a great many of those "neutral" and "don't know" Canadians will choose the PPC in the only poll that counts, making it a very big and vfery real factor. Should be interesting...

Top Conservative says diversity will destroy formerly Great White North

Cazart! Maxime Bernier, runner-up to Andrew Scheer in last year's contest for leadership of Canada's so-called Conservative Party, showed this weekend that he had the cojones to say -- OK, to tweet -- what his party won't even imply. See "Canuck 'conservatives' wimp out, pull anti-border jumpers ad", WWW 18/7/18.

In a thread of six tweets posted yesterday, the Québec MP accused Canuck Prime Minister Just In Trudeau of fostering a "cult of diversity" that he believes will destroy the country. He said that more diversity (which he described as "cultural balkanization") will "divide [Canada] into little tribes" and bring "distrust, social conflict, and potentially violence."

Walt is pleased to share the entire six-part thread. Note especially #4. Truer words were never spoken, and they apply not just to Canada but to all the AABC countries and the ultra-liberal democracies of western Europe as well.

@MaximeBernier
1/ Trudeau keeps pushing his “diversity is our strength” slogan. Yes, Canada is a huge and diverse country. This diversity is part of us and should be celebrated. But where do we draw the line?

3/ But why should we promote ever more diversity? If anything and everything is Canadian, does being Canadian mean something? Shouldn’t we emphasize our cultural traditions, what we have built and have in common, what makes us different from other cultures and societies?

4/ Having people live among us who reject basic Western values such as freedom, equality, tolerance and openness doesn’t make us strong. People who refuse to integrate into our society and want to live apart in their ghetto don’t make our society strong.

5/ Trudeau’s extreme multiculturalism and cult of diversity will divide us into little tribes that have less and less in common, apart from their dependence on government in Ottawa. These tribes become political clienteles to be bought with taxpayers $ and special privileges.

6/ Cultural balkanisation brings distrust, social conflict, and potentially violence, as we are seeing everywhere. It’s time we reverse this trend before the situation gets worse. More diversity will not be our strength, it will destroy what has made us such a great country.

Poll: Most Canadians think Islam, Sikhism bad for their society

Just heard from Agent 3 for the second time this week. In the third week of October (he writes) he responded to a poll conducted by the respected (and politically neutral) Angus Reid organization. Since the subject was "social issues", Agent 3 responded with alacrity (and very quickly too), but, since he figured the poll was being taken on behalf of Canada's Liberal government, he didn't expect to see the results published.

Surprise! The poll of nearly 2000 Canucks was conducted in partnership with Faith in Canada 150, powered by Cardus, a think tank. It's a non-denominational initiative "designed to engage Canadians and their institutions in a rich and robust conversation on faith in our common life." They took the poll, it seems, to see what impact their efforts to Draw All Faiths Together (DAFT) have had, and released the results earlier this week... even though the results were disappointing to those who believe people of all "faith communities" should get in a big circle and sing "Kumbaya".

The survey found that Canadians are divided over whether religious diversity is healthy for the country, and consider Islam, in particular, to be a negative force. 26% of respondents said increasing religious diversity is a good thing, while 23% said it is bad. (Agent 3 didn't say which group he fell into, but we can guess, can't we.) 44% said diversity brings a mix of good and bad, and the remaining 7% were unsure or, being Canadian, too polite to say how they really feel.

Questions about respondents' views on particular religious groups revealed strong anti-Islam sentiment. 46% of those polled said Islam is damaging Canada, while only 13% per cent said it is beneficial. 20% either did not know or care to say (see above), while 21% said the "Religion of Peace" has no real impact. The pollsters said the results are in keeping with "a well-documented pattern. Namely, if Islam is involved, a significant segment of Canadians will react negatively."

Catholicism, Protestantism, evangelical Christianity and Judaism all had overall positive ratings. The only other religion with an overall negative score was Sikhism, with 22% calling it damaging and 13%. Bad news for Jagmeet Singh, the new leader of Canada's socialistic New Democrats, who makes a big point of being a practising Sikh, wearing his very tall orange turban as a kind of visual punctuation mark.

Angus Reid, the founder and president of the eponymous institute, said he found it "disheartening that Canadians are not more committed to the freedom of religion enshrined in the Charter of Rights and Freedoms." Only a slight majority — 55% — of respondents said freedom of religion makes Canada a better country, while 14% said the freedom makes Canada worse and 21% thought it has no impact. Mr Reid told an interviewer, "I think the low number of Canadians who celebrate the fact that we have religious freedom is very troubling and really speaks to the forces of secularization that are at work in Canadian society."

Mr Reid sees in the results a "potential for intolerance" towards believers, especially adherents of minority religions. Asked whether various groups' influence was growing or shrinking in Canada, respondents identified Islam, Sikhism and Hinduism as growing. Canada's more established religious groups were all seen to have a shrinking influence.

Ray Pennings, executive vice-president of Cardus, said he thinks "what we're talking about is a public narrative." He found significance in the finding that the two groups seen negatively are also those with visible religious symbols such as the hijab and turban. (The poll was taken in the same week that the Québec National Assembly passed Bill 62, which restricts the wearing of religious headgear when providing or receiving public services.) "Is it a discomfort with the particulars of their faith," Mr Pennings asked, "or is it a discomfort with the fact that they’re different than us?"

The pollsters asked about that -- about "cases where religious practice intersects with the public sphere". There was solid opposition to the niqab, a garment worn by some Muslim women that covers the entire face except the eyes. 49% of respondents said a woman in a niqab should be prohibited from visiting a government office and 29% said she should be discouraged but tolerated. Only 22% said the woman should be welcomed.

As is frequently seen on questions of religion, opinion in Québec was strongest on many of the questions. Fully 55% of Quebec respondents said Islam is damaging, and it was the only region where more people considered Judaism damaging (22%) than saw it as beneficial (11%). Québécois were most opposed to the niqab, with 68% saying it should be banned in government offices, which is the gist of Bill 62. They were also the most likely (31% vs 23% nationally) to identify increasing religious diversity as a bad thing.

VIDEO: Is this how it ends? Diversity = white genocide

Back in the hippie-dippy 60s, when "integration" was the flavour of the month (OK, decade) and the "progressives" were touting the loveliness of a multiracial (therefore non-racial) society, there was a joke that a neighbourhood was integrated only from the moment the first black family moved in until the last white family moved out.

As residents of places which have been "integrated" to the point of becoming ghettos know, it's not funny. There's a large group of "refugees" who get no sympathy these days from the lamestream media and liberal politicians. I call them the "white flees", who are getting out of the new ghettos (Hello, Brampton, Ontario!) and heading for the hills. And not without reason, as this disturbing and depressing video shows.

Hellery Clinton says "white genocide" is a kooky (and dangerous) conspiracy theory. says the Alt-Right is concerned about White Genocide. Walt says white genocide is not a theory, but a fact. Mass immigration, racial integration, miscegenation, low fertility rates and abortion are being promoted by Mrs Bill Clinton and her liberal admirers and fellow-travellers in predominantly white countries to deliberately turn them minority-white and hence cause white people to become extinct. That is how white civilization on Planet Earth will come to an end.

Thanks to Agent 6 for the link to the video. Click here to read more on white genocide and what you can do to fight for the preservation of our culture and our race.

"Choose your Québec!" election poster stirs up merde in Montréal

Voters in the Montréal-area riding of Gouin went to the polls last Monday in a by-election to fill a vacancy in the Québec National Assembly caused by the resignation of Québec solidaire MNA Françoise David. Results in a moment but first, an item you'll have trouble finding anywhere in Canada's lamestream media. [He's right. I looked! Ed.]

One of the 14 candidates to fill Ms David's shoes was Alexandre Cormier-Denis, representing the Parti Indépendantiste. M Cormier-Denis was considered a dark horse (in the betting sense of the phrase) and given two chances of winning -- slim and none. He did succeed, though, in stirring up the merde by putting up the election poster you see at left, showing a woman wearing a Quebec-branded toque facing another woman (?) wearing a Muslim niqab.

The tagline -- "Choose Your Quebec", in English -- caused the usual gang of "progressives", "antifas", and PC wienies to throw fits. Cries of  "racism" and "Islamophobia" were loud in the land. Bill M-103 was invoked. A police investigation ensued. MUC police quickly removed the poster from outside the Beaubien Métro station, only to put it back up when they were told the M Cormier-Denis was duly registered with Québec's Director of Elections, thus entitled to campaign as he saw fit.

M Cormier-Denis is president of the francophone Horizon Québec Actuel organization, which has close links to the French Front National. In his Vigile.Québec blog, he points out that the sign was not racist because the same woman appeared in both images, and that it was merely meant to represent two different "models of integration".

The Gouin by-election was won by Gabriel Nadeau-Dubois, of Québec solidaire, with over 69% of the vote. No surprise there. M Cormier-Denis finished seventh in the 14-person field, with, errr, somewhat less than 69%. But his message will be remembered. Wait and see.

A true (and ridiculous) Canadian story of political correctness

Nowhere -- repeat: NOWHERE -- is political correctness more firmly entrenched than in the Great No-longer-white North. Everything has to be done by the book: The Little Red Book of Diversity and Sensitivity (Queen's Printer, 1/4/15). The latest sin the PC police are trying to stamp out is "cultural appropriation".

Not quite the same as "cultural insensitivity", it seems to mean being so keen on some other ethnic/religious group's culture that you take it for your own. Many examples were found on Hallowe'en. White parents were instructed, for example, that it was "inappropriate" to send their kids out trick-or-treating dressed as Indians. [Hey! "First Nations"! Ed.] And one of the newly-minted Liberal cabinet ministers was pilloried in the meeja for having donned a coolie hat and gone to a Hallowe'en party as a Chinese. She was obliged to take "offensive" photos off her FB page.

And now for today's news from the battle against cultural insensitivity. At the resolutely bilingual University of Ottawa/Université d'Ottawa, a free class in yoga which had been given for seven years at the university's Centre for Students with Disabilities was no longer offered this fall because some students and volunteers were "uncomfortable with the 'cultural issues' involved."

Yesterday, The lead instructor, Jen Scharf, told CBC News, "I guess it was this cultural appropriation issue because yoga originally comes from India. I told them, 'Why don't we just change the name of the course?' It's simple enough, just call it 'mindful stretching'.... We're not going through the finer points of scripture. We're talking about basic physical awareness and how to stretch so that you feel good.

"That went back and forth.... The higher-ups at the student federation got involved, finally we got an email routed through the student federation basically saying they couldn't get a French name and nobody wants to do it, so we're going to cancel it for now."

You couldn't make this stuff up, could you. Anyone who can come up with a suitable name en français is invited to send it to Walt at the usual address, for forwarding to the U of 0, as many Canadians call the ultra-PC institution of higher learning.

German "Willkommenskultur" worn thin by ill-fitting "refugees"

Looks like German Chancellor Angela Merkel won't be winning the Nobel Peace Prize after all. Just last month she was rumored to be a strong contender for having opened the Fatherland's doors to a tsunami of Arab and African "refugees". "Asylum has no upper limit", she told the Herrenvolk. Besides, she argued, even if they're not all real refugees, Germany needs immigrants to work and pay taxes and support the aging native-born population.

Sounds familiar, doesn't it? It's the same line being pushed throughout western Europe and North America by politically correct politicians and the liberal mainstream media. The stone truth is that "immigration is good for the host countries" is the veriest bullshit -- one of the greatest lies being of the last half-century.

Just today, the Toronto Red Star -- the official organ of the Canadian immigration and multicult lobbies -- has a lengthy article headed "Toronto holds onto its shameful title: Child poverty capital of Canada". The article is chock-full of statistics which prove, inter alia, that the "pockets of poverty" in Toronto the good coincide geographically with the ghettos which are home to tens of thousands of immigrants from Somali, Jamaica and other third-world shitholes. Here's one of them now...

Meet Hawo Ali, aged 53, who immigrated from Somalia in 1992. She had five children when she came to Canada, and has added another six since -- total 11. It might have been more, but her husband left her in 1999, leaving her to raise all those kids alone. She sells samosas and does a bit of sewing to raise a bit of income, and Walt says good for her. Any additional money to needed to keep a roof over her family's heads and food in their bellies, and pay for her and their education and health care, comes from Canadian taxpayers. Net benefit to Canada? Negative!

As many as 10,000 migrants like Ms Ali are arriving in Germany every day, according to Margaret Wente's article in today's Globe and Mail. She tells us that "Smugglers are bringing in underage children and dropping them off by the side of the highways in the middle of the night. Public services are overwhelmed. School authorities say they need 25,000 new teachers for the kids. Local officials are scrounging for places to house people. They say they’ve reached the limit."

Ms Wente refutes the claim of the liberal elites that Germany needs migrants "to subsidize their pensions, replenish their aging population and address a growing shortage of skilled workers. That would make sense [she writes] if the migrants were a lot like Germans. But they’re not. Only a small number of the newcomers are well-educated professionals. Many more are illiterate, traumatized, children, or old. The majority are young men, with few skills and nothing to do. Almost none speak German. They are a poor fit with Germany’s highly skilled, rigidly structured labour market.

"Their cultural values are a poor fit, too. As one editorial writer commented, 'Ultra-religious Muslims – and Christians – are coming face to face with a society that is indifferent to religion. Newcomers with rigid moral codes must learn to deal with the fact that in Germany gay people can openly kiss each other.'

"The refugees are also a poor fit with one another. There are Muslims and Christians, Sunnis and Shiites, Kurds, Albanians and Kosovars. They bring their ethnic tensions with them. Clashes are common in the overcrowded refugee shelters. Police say that the task of reconciling refugee factions and protecting immigrants from right-wing German groups has pushed them to their limits."

"Leaders across Europe are discovering [Ms Wente concludes] that high-minded ideals and lofty sentiments aren’t enough to persuade the public that open doors and porous borders are a good thing. And even people who admire Ms. Merkel are wondering if she has made the biggest blunder of her career."

How you know you're at a Filipino party

Contrary to what you may think, there are countries and peoples that Walt likes. That would include the Philippines and Filipinos. They are some of the most hospitable people in the world, love to sing, dance and eat, and are always up for a party! Here's how you know you're at a "fiesta filipina".

You're an hour late and there's still nobody there! There’s enough food to feed the Philippines.

You can't even get through the door because there's a pile of 50 shoes blocking the way.

You see a huge fork and spoon on the wall, a framed picture of the Last Supper, a huge Santo Nino, and a barrel man.

They're singing "Peelings" on karaoke.

There's a piano in the living room for decoration.

You are greeted by a Tita Baby and/or a Tito Boy.

The older men are in the garage playing posoy-dos, or poker or 31.
The women are in the kitchen gossiping, or are playing mahjong.
The other people are in the entertainment room singing karaoke,
and the kids are outside the streets running around unsupervised.

There's goat 'pulutan' being cooked.
The lumpia is gone in 5 minutes and they are frying up another batch.
All the old aunties are already wrapping up food to take home.

The aunties & guests are showing off their "designer" Louis Vuitton and Coach bags that they secretly bought at a swap meet or garage sale.
There's a crazy woman with a camera going around the room snapping away yelling, "Uy peeeek-chuuur!"
Someone is always in the kitchen constantly cleaning up, and you're not sure if she's the maid or a relative, so you greet and kiss them on the cheek anyway.

You enter a family party and you "Mano" to half the old crowd
and when you leave you have to say goodbye to everyone that's related to you as a sign of respect.
You end up saying hello and goodbye for a total of 30-40 minutes.

There's at least one or more with the name: JP, JJ, JT, TJ, DJ, AJ, RJ, LJ, Ginging, Lingling, Bingbing, Tingting, Dingding, Wengweng, Bongbong, Dongdong etc.

Relatives/friends will ask you where you work and if it's a retail job or if you work at an amusement park, they'll ask if you can get them a discount.

The Manny Pacquiao fight is on the (illegal) cable boxes on the 70" LCD in the movie room,
the 10-year-old 50" CRT in the living room, the 15-year-old 30" tube in the breakfast nook,
the 20-year-old 15" tube in the kitchen, and the 30-year-old 13" tube in the garage,
and the little portable by the BBQ grill, because...

TVs are never retired in a Filipino household. They merely get demoted to whichever room doesn't have a TV yet. Next it ends up in the balikbayan box to be sent to a relative back home, where it ends up being the main TV at the house again.

And on the stereo, they play "Achy-breaky Heart" over and over and over again. Oh Filipino...!!!

Now that you're in the mood, how about a look at the famous Filipino dance, Tinikling, as performed by the Fiesta Filipina Dance Troupe.

For my money [dollars or pisos? Ed.], Fiesta Filipina is one of the best Filipino dance troupes in the world! They are based in... wait for it... Toronto, and appear every July at the Carabram multiculti festival in neighbouring Brampton ON. Agent 1 tells me Carabram isn't a patch on what it used to be, but there's always good food and a great show at the Philippines pabilion.

Political correctness trumps justice! The Rotherham child abuse story

The horrendous story (see "Political correctness foils detection and punishment of 1400 sex abuse cases in English city") about systematic child abuse -- rape, trafficking and so on -- in Rotherham, England, has not received a lot of play in the lamestream media. The American media, in particular, don't give a lot of space or time to things that don't happen in the continental 48. Even a story like the ISIS terror in Syria and Iraq has to have an American slant -- like the beheading of a "journalist" or two -- or it barely gets mentioned.

Due to limitations of space, Walt was only able to give you the bare bones of the Rotherham story. To nutshell it again, more than 1400 minors, some pre-pubescent, were molested, abused, and passed around as sex toys by numerous men of Pakistani origin and "heritage". This went on for most of this century, and may be continuing even now. Three official enquiries were done, in 2002, 2003 and 2006. Their results were disbelieved or ignored by the "authorities" -- police, municipal council and child welfare agencies. So far only five of the Paki paedophiles have been charged and convicted.

According to the reports, most of the abused children were white. It is now suggested that hundreds of Pakistani girls may have been victims as well, with the crimes against them going unreported because of the culture of the male-dominated Muslim community, which doesn't take the mistreatment of women and children very seriously.

The latest report, by Dr. Alexis Jay, a former "chief social work advisor" to the government of Scotland", concluded that the Rotherham council "failed to engage" with the town's Pakistani community, despite the fact that victims described the perpetrators as "Asian".

"Some councillors seemed to think it was a one-off problem, which they hoped would go away" said the good doctor. "Several staff described their nervousness about identifying the ethnic origins of perpetrators for fear of being thought racist; others remembered clear direction from their managers not to do so." See "Rotherham: In the face of such evil, who is the racist now?" Political correctness once again trumps justice!

Further reading: "The unspeakable truth about Rotherham", by Margaret Wente, in today's Globe and Mail. Here's the penultimate paragraph.
"No amount of liberal angst will make this story go away. Current Home Secretary Theresa May has acknowledged that “institutionalized political correctness” has inflicted appalling damage on the innocent. And the broader failures of Muslim integration are now too obvious to ignore. It’s not just all the young men who run off to join the caliphate and saw off people’s heads. It’s the Birmingham school scandal, where it was discovered that dozens of secular schools had been targeted for Islamization by Muslim radicals. It’s the imported culture of violence and misogyny." [The emphasis is mine. Walt]

Politically correct criminology

The Canadian government, ever solicitous of the well-being of the disadvantaged members of society, employs a full-time "prisons ombudsman" -- an official charged with monitoring the country's federal corrections system. According to a recent CBC report, the ombudsman is launching an inquiry into the reasons for a dramatic rise in the proportion of black offenders [disadvantaged yoofs, surely! Ed.] rapidly filling up Canada's prisons.

In the last decade, the investigator reports, the proportion of black convicts has risen from 6% to over 9% -- a 50% increase. People of colour account for just 2.5% of Canada's population. The ombudsman wants to find out why the numbers have increased so rapidly, and thus identify the challenges faced by the corrections system.

Howard Sapers told CBC News, "We've decided to commence an investigation into both the increase and to help us determine whether the CSC [Correctional Service of Canada] is meeting the needs of this population of offenders." According to the CBC, Mr. Sapers hopes to get an answer to a key question -- what distinguishes black offenders from other inmates.

Without waiting for the answer to that very good question, the Canadian Minister of Justice, Peter MacHack, has announced federal funding for a new course to be offered at selected Canadian universities, entitled Politically Correct Criminology 101. The course will explore the causes of black crime and how to implement "culturally appropriate programmes" to enable Canada's justice and corrections system to live up to its responsibility to provide ethno-cultural services that are specific to meet the needs of an increasingly diverse group of miscreants.

Walt has been able to obtain a copy of the new course's exam questions, which have already been formulated but until this very moment have been kept in a hermetically sealed jar behind the front door of Kingston Penitentiary. Here are two of them.

1. According to the Correctional Service of Canada, the proportion of black inmates in Canadian prisons has risen by 50% in the last decade. In not more than 500 words, show how this is due to systemic racism abetted by the police and other agents of the white establishment.

5. The CSC wishes to adjust its policies and practices to accommodate the corrections system to the needs of an increasingly diverse prison population. Explain why you think this is a good idea and give at least three practical suggestions as to what measures could be taken to make persons of colour feel more at home in Canada's prisons. (For example, should guards' uniform jackets be replaced by hoodies? No marks for suggesting this one.)

Lest you think Walt is making this up, check out this video.

Since Walt knows some of you want to ask, the anchorperson doing the intro is Reshmi Nair, presently toiling away on CBC's Wally World, but surely destined for greater things.

One French politician likens another to chimp, found politically incorrect

One of the anthropoids pictured above is a French politician. The other is a chimpanzee. One of them is the French Minister of Justice, Christiane Taubira. The other is not.

Which is which seems to have caused confusion in the mind of Anne-Sophie Leclerc, a Front National candidate in a local election being held in the northeastern town of Rethel. Mme Leclerc posted these pix on her Fecesbook page. On TV, Mme Leclerc called Mms Taubira "a savage, showing up on TV with that devil's smile."

Mme Leclerc added that of course she is not a racist, but "I'd rather see her up a tree...than in the government like this."

The FN, which has been taking a strong stand against immigration, has been working hard to shake off accusations of racism, made by the usual pro-multicult crowd. The party and its leader, Marine Le Pen, have been gaining ground in opinion polls ahead of municipal and European elections next year. Last Sunday the FN won a by-election in the southern town of Brignoles.

Mme Le Pen's popularity has grown amid high unemployment and public frustration over illegal Roma [= gypsy. Ed.] camps, with a poll this week showing voters consider her the strongest challenger to Socialist President Francois Hollande.

Further reading: "Charles De Gaulle warns about Muslim immigration", posted here on WWW over a year ago. As early as 1959 Le Général saw clearly what would happen once the floodgates were opened. He's probably laughing, from somewhere over Colombey-les-Deux-Églises, right now.

Québec's Charter of Values exposing hypocrisy of TROC

The debate over the proposed Charter of Québec Values is generating lots of heat both within and without la Belle Province. The latest public opinion polls put support for the Charter inside Québec at anywhere from 66% to 85% in TROQ -- The Rest Of Québec, c'est à dire outside of Montréal.

In what was once Canada's most important city, the percentages would be about the same, against the Charter. When you think about why this might be, consider the composition of the once-greatest professional hockey team, the Montréal Canadiens. The sad fact is that today's Glorieux have almost no players who could be called pure laine canadiens. Flying Frenchmen, please call home! But where is home?

The point is that the majority of francophone Canadians support the charter. The majority of anglophones and "allophones" are opposed. At least, that's what the lamestream Canuck media tell us. And the chatterers who prate on the CBC and scribble in the Moan and Wail are having great fun excoriating "the French" for being xenophobic, anti-Muslim, racist, and generally failing to celebrate diversity and multiculturalism.

There are those, however, who are asking publicly whether TROC -- The Rest of Canada -- isn't being more than a little hypocritical. One such is André Schutten, General Legal Counsel and Ontario Director for ARPA Canada -- a political action committee of the Christian Reformed churches.

In a recent article in the Ottawa Citizen, Mr. Schutten points out that provincial governments across Canada have been telling public employees to leave their religion at the door for years, just as the Parti Québecois is doing now. As proof, he cites the Alberta government telling doctors that they must perform abortions regardless of their religious beliefs.

In Saskatchewan, he says, a marriage commissioner is not allowed to refuse to officiate at a "gay marriage" for reasons of conscience. And in Ontario former education minister, Laurel Rotten ["Broten", shurely! Ed.] recently said Christian schools can't teach that abortion is wrong. (Ontario is now governed by North America's first openly lesbian premier, which tells you all you need to know.)

Writes Mr. Schutten, "These are shocking statements to make. We’re not talking about wearing a certain piece of religious garb here. These are fundamental moral teachings. I hope that the rest of Canada can do some introspection."

"Are we guilty," he continues, "of hypocritically trying to take the speck out of Québec’s eye when we’re blind to the plank in our own?... The only real difference between Québec and the rest of Canada, on this issue, is that Québec is being bold and forthright about its intentions."

Len would add that the provincial and federal politicians -- hello Jason Kenney, hello Justin Trudeau -- who have been falling all over each other to condemn the Québec Charter even before it becomes law give a listen to the voices of their own constituents, as expressed on speak-your-mouth programmes like CBC Radio's Cross Country Checkup a few hours ago. Several callers expressed support for the ideas of the Charter, and opined that minorities should accommodate themselves to the values of the majority, not the other way around.

Walt adds that at least the Québec government has the gonads to talk about the elephant in the room. Dear Canuck readers, the first few drops of the shitstorm have fallen! The Charter of Québec Values is the first shot in what promises to be a war over enforced multiculturalism. Don't be afraid to tell your "leaders" where you stand!

What Québec's new Charter of Values will and will not do

There's a lot of chatter about the Charter of Québec Values proposed today by that province's government. Many of the chatterers obviously have not read the document or have not paid attention to the details. (That's where the devil is!) CBC News has published a helpful article listing five (5) things the Charter would and would not do. Here's the list.

Would
1.Bar public sector employees — including everyone from civil servants to teachers, provincial court judges, daycare workers, police, health-care personnel, municipal employees and university staff — from wearing a hijab, turban, kippa, large visible crucifix or other "ostentatious" religious symbols while on the job.
2.Allow five-year opt-outs from the ban for certain organizations, but not daycare workers or elementary school teachers.
3.Require that those receiving or providing government services uncover their faces.
4.Exempt elected members of the Quebec legislature from the regulations.
5.Amend Quebec's human rights legislation, the Charter of Human Rights and Freedoms, to specify limits on when someone can stake a claim for religious accommodation.

Wouldn't
1.Remove religious symbols and elements considered "emblematic of Quebec's cultural heritage." That includes: the crucifixes in the Quebec legislature and atop Mount Royal in Montreal, the thousands of religiously based geographic names (e.g. Saint-Louis-du-Ha! Ha!) and the names of schools and hospitals.
2.Ban public sector employees from wearing small religious symbols like a ring with a Star of David, earrings with the Muslim crescent or a necklace with a small crucifix.
3.Eliminate subsidies to religious private schools. The Quebec government currently funds about 60 per cent of the budgets of most of the province's private schools, including parochial ones.
4.Ban opening prayers at municipal council meetings, which was recommended by the 2008 Bouchard-Taylor Commission report into cultural accommodation. The Quebec Court of Appeal ruled in May that such prayers do not necessarily violate Quebec's current human rights legislation.
5.Eliminate property tax exemptions for churches, mosques, synagogues and other religious buildings.

I have emphasized the words "receiving or providing" in the third "would". That's a very sharp hook in the tackle box. It means if you go to get your driver's licence renewed, or get your welfare cheque, or get a flu shot, you'll have to take off your kipa/turban/hijab/whatever. At least, that's the way I read it.

One last very important comment. Patrick Lagacé, writing in the Globe and Mail, predicts that the Charter will never be enacted. If it is made law, "progressive thinkers" are calling on the federal government to challenge its constitutionality in the courts, and Steve Harper's bumboy, the Hon. Jason Kenney has said that will be done.

So why is the Parti Québecois bringing this controversial bill forward? Simple, says M Lagacé. The PQ, being a minority government, could face an election at any time. They are shit scared they're going to lose, so they're playing to the unspoken but deeply felt wishes of the majority of the Québec electorate. 65% of those asked in a survey taken over the weekend say they approve of the Charter -- an idea whose time has come, no matter what the multicultists say.

Hey whitey! You'll never work for the CBC again!

Canadians who listen to the CBC -- and yes, there are many -- are aware of its blatant liberal (and Liberal) bias in favour of all things politically correct.

Examples include CBC Radio's Toronto flagship station, proudly "sounding like Toronto looks", which means speaking with incomprehensible Caribbean and South Asian accents. For a while there they couldn't figure out how to pander to the LGBT community, but recently they've hired a couple of audibly gay "news reporters" -- Jermaine and Trevor -- who lisp their way through their cute little stories.

Even Hockey Night in Canada -- happy 60th anniversary!!! -- has a PC lineup of "analysts", including one blonde bimbo who seems unfamiliar with the players, and one black ex-player who is very careful not to sound too black.

That's right, nobody celebrates diversity like the CBC. But now we finally  have confirmation of our suspicions that diversity and "minorities" are being promoted to the exclusion of straight white males. If you're one of those -- now an endangered species in Toronto -- you can forget about working for the CBC.

Where's Walt's proof? Why, right here!

That's a recruitment ad for the host of a children’s show -- Patty and Mamma Yama. It was placed on Craigslist by Larissa Mair Casting and Associates Inc., a casting agency hired by "Kids'CBC", whose logo appears in the ad.

In case you're having trouble reading it, the ad says you should "...only submit [an audition tape] if you match the following criteria: Male between the ages of 23-35 years; Any race except Caucasian."

A new version of the ad removes the race reference, but maintains the sex and age criteria, which Agent 3 says is contrary to Ontario's labour standards laws and the province's human rights code.

Why would the casting agency flout the laws enacted years ago to protect everyone from discrimination on the basis of gender, race, religion, age etc etc? Larissa Mair, the agency's chief cook and bottlewasher, is prepared to take the fall. She told the National Post "We were asked to seek a cast of diversity. We mistakenly took that to mean that the production was not seeking Caucasian actors. This was a mistake that was made entirely by the casting company."

Pretty big of Ms Mair to carry the can, because the truth is that the original ad is right on the money in its description of the kind of on-air personalities the CBC wants -- any race except white! Let's hear from Chuck "Chuck" Thompson, head of media relations for CBC English Services:
"At CBC, inclusion and diversity is a priority. This means reflecting Canada and its regions as well as the country’s multicultural and multiracial nature... We are now reaching out to our partners in production to ensure that a concerted and documented effort be made…to cast actors who reflect Canada’s diversity."

In other words, no whites need apply. Any white man who has applied for this or any other in-front-of-the-camera job at CBC and got as far as the interview stage is invited to let Walt know. I'm always happy to set the record straight. (Lifetime pct .990)

Update: Further proof positive of the CBC's anti-white anti-male bias emerged today. Check out "The CBC’s ‘no whites’ policy is a mistake, but no accident" by Matt Gurney, in today's National Post. Matt! Take it to the Human Rights Commission!

And just by coincidence... the mailman [letter carrier! Ed.] brought Walt's Economist today. Its cover story is a "briefing" called "Time to scrap affirmative action". There's an editorial (or "leader", as the Brits say) with the same title. Here's a quote: "If Barack Obama's daughters apply to a university, judge them on their academic prowess, not the colour of their skin." More on this anon.

Learn this new Christmas song... and pass it along!

When the sun set last night, I was dismayed to see that one of my neighbours down in the holler has his Christmas tree up in the front window already. So it begins, even though it's still only November. Got your shopping done yet?

Well wait a minute. Just what "rush" are you about to get into? The "Christmas rush" or the "winter holiday rush"? In the media- and government-approved drive to be politically correct and "celebrate diversity", we're in danger of losing sight of what...or Who...this season is all about.

Here, thanks to Agent 6, is a new Christmas song that you should listen to carefully.

Think about it! We are (or should be) celebrating the birthday of Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God and Saviour of those who believe in Him.

HE is what "Christmas" is all about, yet we forget and ignore Him. Not very nice on our part. If you don't think so, imagine how you would feel if your birthday was forgotten, and turned into a mad frenzy of spending and buying. Would you not feel even worse if your birthday was deliberately downplayed, and referred to as just another part of the great year-round multicultural celebration.

This song has a clear message for each and every one of us. Let's see if we can start to turn the tide and get it right this year. Don't forget Whose birthday is commemorated on December 25th. Walt and Ed. wish you a very Merry CHRISTMAS!

Toronto experiences benefits of immigration and multiculturalism

Not for nothing is Toronto known as the most multicultural city in North America. Maybe the world. Thanks to an influx of millions of third-world asylum-seekers, refugees (bogus and otherwise), and immigrants (some of them legal), Toronto is chock-full of vizmins, all rubbing along together in peace and harmony.

Well, sort of. Toronto does have its ghettos, or as the CBC calls them, "communities". The official term is "priority communities", and if you can convince any level of government that you're dark and violent enough to "need support and nurturing" from your hosts, they'll build basketball courts and community centres for you, and give you money for parades and multiculti events.

Even if you don't get big bucks from the federal or provincial Ministries of Multicult, there's always enough left over from welfare to throw a big block party every now and then. Such as the BBBBQ -- Big Black Barbecue -- in Scarborough last night.

Seems that, as sometimes happens at these things, there was a spot of trouble involving, errr, partygoers. Toll so far: 2 shot dead, 19 injured in the crossfire, and 3 trampled in the crush. Toronto police chief "Old Bill" Blair called it "The worst incident of gun violence … anywhere in North America". Ah yes, Toronto is definitely a world-class city... or at least continent-class!

The Globe and Mail has a slideshow this morning. Have a look and you'll notice the multiracial reality of Toronto. Ah yes, blacks and whites together. But, errr, the white people all seem to be cops. The others are, errr, not cops.

What Walt finds funny -- funny curious, not funny haha -- is that not one of three Toronto papers Walt has checked (so far) makes any mention of the fact that this was a black "community event". The victims are black, the perps are black, everybody's black except the cops.

That's the way it is in "Scarlam". Everyone knows there's a problem with gun violence in Toronto's "black community", but the lamestream media and ultra-PC polilticians absolutely refuse to talk about it.

Meanwhile, the more peaceful folks of Toronto's not-so-black communities must be wondering what they have to do to be safe during this latest summer of the gun. Walt has a suggestion. Move to Detroit!

Message for George Zimmerman: Could you please call Chief Blair. He wants you to come to Toronto as a consultant to the police.

Correction: It has come to our attention that "big black barbecue", as used above, is politically incorrect. The Toronto Star describes it as a "big BLOCK barbecue". So sorry.

Arrest made in multiracial Yonge Street stomp

Agent 3 sends along another update on the Toronto stomping which has become a big video hit on the Internet. Toronto police have moved with surprising alacrity [quickly, too! Ed.] to arrest one of the perps, a 15-year-old girl from Brampton, whose identity is protected under Canada's Be Kind to Young Criminals Act.

Agent 3, who grew up in Brampton, refers to the city as "the Jane-Finch Extension". He says readers will know what he means. He has now moved to "a lighter part of Canada".

Meanwhile, CBC Radio's Toronto flagship station -- "Sounding like Toronto looks" -- jealous as hell of its TV cousin ["Looking like Toronto looks"? Ed.] has broadcast the audio portion of the now-infamous video.

Why they would do this is a mystery, given that the sound alone makes it clear that the stompee was white and the stompers were, errr, not white. Another example of the racial harmony and we's-all-brothers mentality for which Toronto is renowned.

Mom-to-be gets stomped in the multicult capital

Everyone knows that Philadelphia is no longer the City of Brotherly Love. No, that title [perhaps updated to "The City of Sibling Love"? Ed.] now belongs to Toronto, the font of political correctness and the exemplar of multiracial peace and harmony.
Well, not always...

Today's Toronto Star features a story headed "Police investigate video of young pregnant woman being beaten". The headline in a less lamestream medium reads
Preggo Dope Fiend Gets Jumped By Hood Chicks In Toronto For Talkin Mess!

What that means, in plain English, is that a pissing contest [Don't be so literal! He means a slanging match! Ed.] broke out between a young and obviously pregnant woman and some other females on a darkened stretch of Yonge Street, the Little Apple's main drag.

The video -- labelled "Warning: Graphic Content" -- shows pedestrians walking past the group as the shouting increases. Although it looks as if the pregnant woman could have escaped, she doesn't do so. She starts to walk away, but comes back for more.

After a few more choice words are exchanged, a male voice yells "Hit her!" At this point, the pregnant woman lashes out at another female with her jacket and knocks a bottle to the ground, where it shatters.

The other females then strike back, hitting the pregnant woman about the face and knocking her to the ground. While lying helpless on the sidewalk, she is kicked around the head and in the stomach and back for about 30 seconds, during which she covers her head with her hands and wails with pain.

While she is being beaten, the person holding the camera does not try to intervene to stop the beating. In fact, the person moves in to record the action from close range. At the end of the beating, a young woman spits on the victim.

The video has already disappeared from YouTube and the original site, but since we know you'll be wanting to see it -- WARNING: GRAPHIC CONTENT! -- Ed. has embedded a link, below.

Before you watch, how about a little self-criticism. Will all those who think the actors in this little piece are, errr, persons of colour, please raise your hands. Hmm. Just as I thought. Well, have a look.

Fooled ya, eh! You see? It's not just members of the black underclass who carry on like dat! Trash comes in every colour -- black, white and striped.

PS from Ed.: Just in case the embed link gets disabled, I've made a backup. If you can't see the video, let us know, and I'll upload my copy.

What happened to the Native Sons of Canada?

Agent 3 wrote that he was surprised that the Native Sons of Canada hadn't weighed in on current issues of multiculturalism, "Islamicization" (pace Steve Harper), Muslim prayers in the "public" schools, etc, ad nauseam. Since Walt wasn't familiar with that group, he checked it out on Google, and came up with this:

This organization...was incorporated in 1922. Its aims were to foster Canadian national spirit, the creation of a Canadian nationality, the adoption of a distinctly Canadian flag, and the abolition of such shackles on Canadian autonomy as appeals to the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council. It also urged the employment of Canadians by Canadians, and opposed Oriental immigration. It was, in fact, a nativist movement, somewhat less compromising than the "Canada First" movement of the seventies.... During recent years, with the partial achievement of some of its objects, its importance has somewhat declined.

Agent 3 says he (being almost as ancient as Walt) can remember the Native Sons campaigning hard on the flag and national anthem issues in the 60s. When the Liberal government of the day gave Canada the now-famous maple leaf flag, and gave official status to O Canada, over the objections of the Tories, the IODE, and the Orange Lodge, the Native Sons' work seemed to be done. And yes, it seemed that they faded into obscurity.

But there's more to the story. The Native Sons of Canada were, like Amos 'n' Andy in the USA, among the first victims of political correctness. Think about it...

The First Nations (formerly known as Indians) didn't like the appellation "native", saying that they, the aboriginal people, were the only true natives of Canada.

The wimmin didn't like "Sons" because that term is misogynistic, sexist and exclusionary.

Immigrants objected to "Sons of Canada" because it represented the policy of the Native Sons that only those born in Canada could become members. Someone born in London, England could be just as much of a Canadian nationalist as someone born in London, Ontario, they said.

And of course there was the predictable ranting, in the era of civil rights, that the Native Sons were anti-Semitic, anti-Negro (as African-Canadians were then called), and anti-French. (There was already an organization for the pure-laine canadiens. That would be the Société Jacques-Cartier, otherwise known as La Patente.)

Since the hippy-dippy 60s, it is politically incorrect to be anti-anything. We're supposed to be pro-everything, eh. Strength in diversity, multiculturalism is the future, and all that bullshit.

These days, supporting (publicly at least) the ideals of the Native Sons of Canada makes about as much sense in Canada as supporting the ideals of the White Citizens Council in the USA. So such organizations no longer exist. They have been silenced. But, as the Jesuits say, just because you've silenced a man doesn't mean you've converted him.

Fed up with CBC Toronto? Contact Susan!

Following the appearance of "CBC to white audience: if you don't like CBC Toronto, move!", Walt heard from a number of disgruntled denizens who are fed up with the steady stream of black news [excluding the crime news. Ed], black spokespersons and black "music" on CBC Toronto's drivetime radio shows.

You're welcome to complain to me, but the person who should really be getting your irate comments is Susan Marjetti -- wrong identified as Susan Marjerine in the previous post -- who is Managing Director of Local Programming at CBC Toronto. Her phone number is 416-205-5791. You'll find an e-mail link here. Or you can write by snail mail to: Susan Marjetti, CBC Toronto, P.O. Box 500, Toronto, Ontario, M5W 1E6.

When calling or writing, try to be polite and not use any politically incorrect language. I'm not sure you're even allowed to say "black". What you might do, though, is remind Ms Marjetti that whites have rights too!

Hey... that's not a bad slogan! WHITE HAVE RIGHTS TOO! Wonder if any politician or party will have the cojones to adopt it. You're welcome.
