Well-known Afro-American (???) women

One of these wimmin gained notoriety for presenting herself as a black woman despite being born to white parents. She calls herself Nkechi Amare Diallo, but on 12 November 1977 in Lincoln County MT to Ruthanne and Larry Dolezal, both of whom are of white European descent.

Rachel Dolezal, aka Rachel Moore, usesd her self-discovered blackishness to become a college instructor and President of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) chapter in Spokane WA.

She was the subject of public scrutiny when her parents publicly stated that she was pretending to be black but was actually white. The statement by her parents followed Rachel Dolezal's reports to police and local news media that she had been the victim of race-related hate crimes. A police investigation did not support her allegations.

Ms Dolezal had also claimed on an application form to be mixed-race and had falsely claimed that an African-American man was her father and that her brother was her son. In the aftermath of the controversy, she was dismissed from her position as an instructor in "Africana studies" at Eastern Washington University and was removed from her post as chair of the Police Ombudsman Commission in Spokane over "a pattern of misconduct."

In 2015, Rachel Dolezal acknowledged that she was "born white to white parents" but maintained that she self-identified as black.

The other woman, the one on the far left (geddit?) is Kamala Devi Harris, born 20 October 1964 in Oakland CA. Her mother, Shyamala Gopalan was a biologist who moved to the United States from Tamil Nadu, India, at the age of 19, in 1958. Ms Gopalan's parents are Indian.

While she was studying in the US of A, she met Donald Jasper Harris, born in Brown's Town, Saint Ann Parish, Jamaica. He was the son of Oscar Joseph Harris, a black Jamaican [Afro-Jamaican? Ed.] and Beryl Christie Harris (née Finegan), who was an Irish-Jamaican... or something like that. (Her details seem have mysteriously disappeared from Google.)

Walt is not sure whether that makes Hock Ptui a quadroon or an octaroon (look them up), and Ms Harris emphasizes different parts of her ethnic heritage, depending on who she's talking to. The name "Devi" disappeared around the time she got involved with Brown Willie Brown.

When she rode into the Vice-President's Office on Senile Joe's coattails she was hailed as the first Indo-African woman to hold such high office. Then, about three weeks ago, the "Indo" part disappeared ans now Americans are urged by the adoring lickspittle media to elect the first "Black female President".

Puzzling, isn't it.

Apartheid comes to USA: UConn opens segregated dorm

We begin a new month with a story which has to be true, because you couldn't make up something this ironic. Half a century after LBJ's great "civil rights", designed to end once and for all discrimination against anyone on he basis of race and ensure equality for all -- especially as regard accommodation in housing -- a blacks-only dormitory is being built at the University of Connecticut, with the official endorsement of that school's "progressive" authorities.

The segregated accommodation -- separate but equal, you understand -- will be called "SCHOLA2RS House". "SCHOLA2RS" stands for the "Scholistic [sic] House Of Leaders who are African Amercian [sic] Researchers and Scholars". Of course these "schola2rs" have a website. Here's a screen grab.

You may think that a couple of them don't look, errr, African-American, but you don't have to be black to get into the dorm. You only have to "identify as African American/Black". You know, like Rachel Dolezal, the former head of the NAACP in Spokane WA, a white girl who somehow felt black.

You might wonder why, in an America where (according to the Prez) great strides have been made in overcoming racism, a "black living space" would be not just tolerated but deemed a necessity. Dr. Erik M. Hines, Faculty Director and Assistant Professor in the Department of Educational Psychology at UConn, has the answer. The good doctor says it's because blacks do so poorly at academics that he believes they will do better "in an African-American environment."

Walt kids you not. He really said that, and somehow managed to escape being hauled in front of a "human rights" commission. What would have happened if Mark Steyn had said it? But Dr. Hines is no Mark Steyn! Dr. Hines is a certified (or certifiable) progressive. He explained that "African-American males graduate at a lower rate than their peers."

He went on to say that SCHOLA2RS House is "a space for African-American men to one, come together and validate their experiences that they may have on campus. [sic] umber two, it’s also a space where they can have conversation and also talk with individuals who come from the same background who share the same experience."

Translated into plain English, Dr. Hines is actually sayings that just being in the presence of whites somehow makes blacks do poorly at school, and that the only way this can be remedied is for blacks to have their own dorm. Need we add that all the UConn students and academics who turned out late last year to protest what they called "white racism" have remained completely silent on this project, which reeks of black racism.

God's opinion of "Caitlyn" Jenner

In "Choosing one's identity", Walt suggested -- or meant to suggest -- that there was something unnatural, or just plain WRONG, about making yourself out to be black when you're white, or a woman when you're a man. Who are we, I meant to ask, to try to change our identities from the ones God gave us?

One reader has had the temerity to ask where I get off saying changing one's identity is somehow contrary to God's law? OK, I'll tell you where...

Deuteronomy 23:1 - An eunuch, whose testicles are broken or cut away, or yard [= penis] cut off, shall not enter into the church of the Lord.

That's the Douay-Rheims translation. The King James Version (and yes, I do have one), reads: He that is wounded in the stones, or hath his privy member cut off, shall not enter into the congregation of the Lord.

A little more colourful, isn't it... Either way, the Word of God says clearly that if you're born with that dangly bit between your legs, you'd best leave it there.

UPDATED 19/6: Choosing one's identity

I'm old. [How old are you? Ed.] I'm so old that I can remember when the doctor or midwife said either "It's a boy!" or "It's a girl!" and so it was. The baby didn't have any choice about its "sex" (as it was quaintly called back then) or "gender" (the politically correct term nowadays).

So also with race. Whether it was recorded on the birth certificate or not, it was generally accepted that a baby would be whatever his/her parents were (assuming they were of the same race) or "mixed" or "coloured", whatever, if the parents were of different races.

Now, thanks to the meeja hype about Bruce/Caitlyn Jenner and Rachel Dolezal, we know that times have changed... really changed!

Behold this pair of celebrities! The one on the left is not a male. The one on the right is not white. Whoda thunk it to look at them?! But hey, this is the 21st century. It's not about what God or nature intended, or who your parents were, or what the doctor said when you popped out. It's about who you think you are and who you want to be! Thus endeth the lesson.
