VIDEO: "Credo" - this is what Catholics believe

A man who claims to be the Pope has been quoted as saying that all religions lead to God. He believes in Drawing All Faiths Together (DAFT) into his Church of the New World Order. This is the heresy of syncretism. It is not what Catholics believe. 

Here is the Credo (Creed) as sung (in English) by the faithful at the Ukrainian-Greco Catholic Church of Saint Elias the Prophet in Brampton ON in November of 2022.

In response to the heretical statement of the man mentioned above, Most Rev. Athanasius Schneider, Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Saint Mary in Astana, Kazakhstan, has written this Profession of Faith, read at the Catholic Identity Conference 2024, at Pittsburgh PA, today.

Profession of Faith in Jesus Christ and His Church
as the only path to God and to eternal salvation 

We unshakably believe and profess what the ordinary and universal Magisterium of the Church has continuously and infallibly taught since the time of the Apostles, namely, 

That faith in Jesus Christ, the Incarnate Son of God and only Savior of mankind, is the only religion willed by God.

After the institution of the new and everlasting Covenant in Jesus Christ, no one may be saved by adherence to the teachings and practices of non-Christian religions. Because “the prayer, which is directed to God, must be linked with Christ, the Lord of all people, the one Mediator (1 Tm 2:5; Heb 8:6; 9:15; 12:24) through whom alone we have access to God (Rom 5:2; Eph 2:18; 3:12).” (General Instruction of the Liturgy of the Hours, n. 6)

We firmly believe that “there is no other name under heaven given to men, whereby we must be saved” (Acts 4:12), except the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, who was crucified, whom God hath raised from the dead (cf. Acts 4:10).

We believe that it is “contrary to the Catholic faith to consider the Church as one way of salvation alongside those constituted by the other religions, seen as complementary to the Church or substantially equivalent to her, even if these are said to be converging with the Church toward the eschatological kingdom of God” (Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, Declaration Dominus Iesus, 21).

We furthermore hold that Divine Revelation, faithfully transmitted by the Church’s perennial Magisterium, forbids affirming:

That all religions are paths to God,

That the diversity of religious identities is a gift of God, and

That the diversity of religions is an expression of the wise will of God the Creator. 

We hold, therefore, that Christians are not simply “travelling companions” along with adherents of false religions — which God forbids.

We fervently implore the help of Divine grace for all those churchmen today who, by their words and deeds, contradict the Divinely revealed truth about Jesus Christ and His Church as the only path by which men can reach God and eternal salvation. With the help of divine grace, may these churchmen be enabled to offer a public retraction, required for the good of their own soul and the souls of others. For “not accepting Christ is the greatest danger for the world!” (St. Hilary of Poitiers, In Matth. 18).

By the prayers, tears and sacrifices of all the true sons and daughters of the Church, and especially of the “little ones” in the Church, may the Shepherds of the Church, and first and foremost Pope Francis, receive the grace to emulate the Apostles, countless Martyrs, numerous Holy Roman Pontiffs and a multitude of Saints, especially St. Francis of Assisi, who “was a Catholic and an entirely apostolic man, who set about personally and commanded his disciples to occupy themselves before everything else with the conversion of the heathen to the Faith and Law of Christ.” (Pope Pius XI, Encyclical Rite Expiatis, 37)

We believe and, with God’s grace, are ready to give our lives for this Divine truth pronounced by Jesus Christ: “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No man comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6).

Easter in Brandon's America: more "racial injustice"

Easter weekend, when Christians celebrate the resurrection and the hope that it brings us of peace in this world and the next, has come and gone. In the Paranoid States of America, it seems, peace and harmony will have to wait for the life hereafter, as the weekend was marred by three separate mass shootings and many smaller instances of gun violence as communities across the country grapple with spikes in the murder rate.

Two teenage boys were killed and eight other people were wounded after gunfire erupted at a party in a short-term rental home in Pittsburgh early on Easter Sunday. Police were alerted to shots fired shortly after midnight, and arrived at a rental property where a party was allegedly being held. 

The cops found rifle and pistol casings and set up as many as eight crime scenes spanning a few blocks in the area. A spokesthingy told a local TV station, "The initial investigation reveals a large party was being held at the short-term rental property, with as many as 200 people in attendance, many of them underage."

According to the cops, at least 50 gunshots were fired in the home in question by multiple people who had been drawn into some sort of fight. A handful of partygoers were injured but not shot, suffering cuts and broken bones while jumping out of windows in a desperate attempt to get to safety.

First responders took several of the victims to a hospital, including two 17-year-old boys Pittsburgh boys, Matthew Steffy-Ross and Jaiden Brown,whom doctors later pronounced dead. Others who were shot but survived took their own rides to the hospital. No word, of course, as to the race or ethnicity of those involved, so let's not jump out of windows to any conclusions.

Meanwhile, also early on Sunday, gunfire which erupted at a nightclub in Hampton County, South Carolina, injured nine people. None of the wounds reported at Cara's Lounge, about 80 miles west of Charleston, were fatal, said officials, who had not immediately announced any arrests in that case.

A more serious "incident" occurred in South Carolina's capital on Saturday, when a gunfight inside a busy shopping mall left nine people, ranging in age from 15 to73, with bullet wounds. Five people were injured while attempting to flee to safety. 

Columbia Police Chief "Skippy" Holbrook told the meeja, "We don't believe this was random. We believe [those involved] they knew each other and something led to the gunfire." Investigators believe that at least three suspects displayed firearms inside the mall but are working to determine how many ofo them actually fired weapons. 

22-year-old Jewayne Price, was jailed following the shooting on accusations of... wait for it... unlawfully carrying a pistol. On Sunday afternoon, his bail was set at $25,000. Benjamin Crump is expected to arrive today, accompanied by "Rev" Al Sharpton, to post bail and demand justice for Jewayne.

That's Jewayne there, in the middle of the top row, along with some of his friends. The pic isn't from their high school yearbook, or from police files related to this weekend's shootout, but from a report of arrests made in the May 2018 shooting death of a 17-year-old in Richland County SC.

Amon Rice, 17, and another victim were found with gunshot wounds, after a dispute of some kind near Unity Missionary Baptist Church in Hopkins SC on 10 May 2018. A mother and her three children were arrested at the end of May. In June, the Richland County Sheriff's Department arrested 20-year-old Jordan Terrell Myer, 18-year-old Kenneth Roger Robinson Jr., 18-year-old Jewayne Marquise Price, 39-year-old Twana Ivery, and 18-year-old Thaiyeah Keisha Keel, in connection with the murder.

Jewayne Price was charged with accessory before the fact. Ed. couldn't find out if he was ever tried, but if he was convicted, he evidently didn't learn any lessons from his brush with the law. Perhaps the judge let him off lightly because of his being the victim of centuries of oppression, racial discrimination, yada yada yada, according to the Ketanji Brown Jackson Sentencing Guidelines.

What is a "hate crime"?

Federal prosecutors have filed hate crime charges against Robert Bowers, the Pennsylvania man they say stormed a Pittsburgh synagogue and opened fire, killing 11 people. Because the people were Jews, and because Mr Bowers allegedly made anti-Semitic statements during the shooting and even in the hospital where he was being treated, and allegedly targeted Jews on social media, he has been charged with committing "hate crimes", for which he may be sentenced to death.

Walt would like to know if the same charges would have been laid had Mr Bowers shot up a Catholic church full of worshippers (like you'd ever find that, nowadays) or a non-denominational public (read: secular) school.

Would the same charges have been laid had the attacker been a Muslim fanatic, or would the murders then be called acts of terrorism? What's the difference between a terrorist crime and a hate crime?

And what if Mr Bowers had been black, and had shot up a meeting of the Aryan nation...or a station full of white cops? That would certainly be a hate-filled act, but if a black man did it, would he not be justified, in the eyes of the NPCs, because of... well, you know....

I believe that there is no excuse, other than self-defence, for killing another human being. That goes double for the killing of the innocent -- infants and unborn children! See "True story of Philadelphia baby-killer now a movie", WWW 24/10/18.

But the "minority status" or the victims or of the killer should make no difference to the "justice" applied or received. That is why slogans like "Justice for Trayvon Martin" make no sense unless the NPCs who shout them also demand justice for the victims of ISIS, justice for the innocent bystanders shot by gangstas, and, yes, justice for the millions of babies whose lives were "terminated" by the likes of Kermit Gosnell, paid by Planned Parenthood with the support of your tax dollars.

I believe also that justice does not include retribution. I am not so naïve as to think that nutbars and recidivists can be rehabilitated and made useful members of society if we just "love" them enough. Hug-a-hoodie just doesn't work because hate cannot always (or ever?) be overcome by love. But an eye for an eye is not the solution.

I am opposed to the death penalty because I am opposed to murder. People like Mr Bowers need to be removed from society, for the protection of society, but in a civilized society, permanent incarceration or perhaps banishment to a Siberia is as far as we ought to go. State-sanctioned murder is no different from "murder by crazy freelancer".

As for "hate crime", I call that a redundancy, since all murder involves hate of some kind. As used by the NPCs today, "hate crime" is just another expression intended to make straight white people -- especially men and Christians -- feel guilty, guilty, guilty! If I were Emperor of the World, I would banish "hate crime" from the statute books and even from the dictionaries. Sadly, hate is part of human nature. You can't overcome hate by mandating "love"... or political correctness.

What happens if you tell the truth about "black culture"

Meet Wendy Bell, a hitherto successful Pittsburgh-area news anchor. In at 18-year career with WTAE-TV (a Hearst station), Ms Bell won 21 regional Emmys [Emmies? Ed.], and was highly regarded for her professionalism, and charming on-air personality. It all came to an end on Wednesday, when she was fired after "engaging in racial profiling of the worst kind" on her official Facebook page.

Walt can't show you the FB post that wrote finis to Ms Bell's career, since it has been removed, along with her profile on the WTAE-TV website. And you've probably guessed already which race it was that Ms Bell "profiled" in a negative way. (I won't say "libelled" or "slandered", because in any action for defamation, the truth is the best defence!) Hint: it wasn't Caucasians or Hispanics or Asians. No indeed. What Ms Bell said in a classic CDM (Career-Destroying Move) was that the killers in a brutal area murder were "young black men".

The problem was that Ms Bell posted her assumption -- for that's what it was -- before anyone was taken into custody following a horrific mass shooting in Wilkinsburg PA earlier in the month. "You needn't be a criminal profiler," she wrote, "to draw a mental sketch of the killers who broke so many hearts two weeks ago Wednesday. They are young black men, likely in their teens or early 20s. They have multiple siblings from multiple fathers, and their mothers work multiple jobs."

Would it come as a surprise to anyone if that description turned out to be accuratge? Of course not. The trouble was that it's politically incorrect! In Obama's America, you can't call a spade a spade.

A statement from Hearst Television said, "WTAE has ended its relationship with anchor Wendy Bell. Wendy's recent comments on a WTAE Facebook page were inconsistent with the company’s ethics and journalistic standards." Apparently those standards forbid any suggestion that black people might be responsible for black-on-black crime. Even that phrase makes a racist assumption, eh.

For her part, Ms Bell issued the customary abject apology, "I now understand that some of the words I chose were insensitive and could be viewed as racist. I regret offending anyone. I'm truly sorry."

That was the required act of contrition, but Ms Bell expressed her real feelings in an interview with AP, saying that she didn’t get a "fair shake" from the station, and that the story was not about her, but about "African-Americans being killed by other African-Americans. It makes me sick! What matters is what's going on in America, and it is the death of black people in this country.... I live next to three war-torn communities in the city of Pittsburgh, that I love dearly. My stories, they struck a nerve. They touched people, but it’s not enough. More needs to be done. The problem needs to be addressed."

It's hard though, Walt thinks, to address a problem if you can't even mention it.
