A staunchly conservative Roman Catholic prelate, Archbishop Carlo Viganò, formerly an apostolic nuncio to the USA, has accused Pope Francis -- "the most progressive pope in history" as the lamestream media call him -- of knowing for at least five years of the gay sex abuse allegations against disgraced Cardinal theodore McCarrick, now wearing his dog collar in the dog house for "allegedly" (LOL) abusing scores of priests and seminarians.
The accusation comes as Francis tours Ireland, playing the old humble card yet again as he begs for forgiveness for decades of Catholic abuse, not just in America but in Eire, Chile and... well, if you're part of the Gay Mafia, the world's your playground.
Archbishop Viganò stated his case in an 11-page letter published today. In his testimony, the prelate said he told the pope, "Holy Father, I don't know if you know Cardinal McCarrick, but if you ask the Congregation of Bishops, there is a dossier this thick about him. He corrupted generations of seminarians and priests and Pope Benedict ordered him to withdraw to a life of prayer and penance."
Abp Viganò goes on to say that he was surprised, shortly thereafter, to see that instead of being sent into seclusion, the cardinal molester began travelling on missions on behalf of the Church. He reportedly went to China, and was known to have been one of the Vatican's intermediaries involved in talks between the US and Cuba talks in 2014.
A cascade of child sex abuse scandals dating back to 2002 have shaken the foundations of the Roman Catholic Church. The latest revelations came just this month in Pennsylvania, where a grand jury report found that 300 priests had abused more than 1000 children, mostly boys, in six dioceses for a period of some seven decades.
Abp Viganò's "Testimony" is highly substantiated and charges other important cardinals, from Pietro Parolin (aka "Peter the Roman") to Sean Patrick O'Malley to Óscar Andrés Rodríguez Maradiaga. It is absolutely a must-read, and you can access it, in its entirety, by clicking here.
Archbishop Viganò's letter railed against "homosexual networks present in the Church", with the word "homosexual" appearing 18 times. VIDEO: Lefties demand white males be ashamed of being normal
Saw a new -- well, only three weeks old -- VIDEO featuring Gavin McInnes and just have to share it. Why, Mr McInnes asks in this interview, is the leftist media lecturing whites to be ashamed of their skin color, while telling us to be proud of paedophiles?

Professor behind Ontario's pro-gay sex education curriculum to plead guilty to child porn charges
Sometimes poor Walt just can't get a day off. I should know better than to see what's giving on the mojo wire, but it's good I did so today, otherwise I might have missed an item about University of Toronto Professor Benjamin Levin, the self-satisfied pervert pictured here.I'd almost forgotten about Prof. Levin. He was last mentioned in this space eighteen months ago, after being charged with accessing child pornography, possessing child pornography, making child pornography, distributing child pornography, counselling to commit an indictable offence and agreeing to or arranging for a sexual offence against a child under 16. That's seven (count `em, 7) charges in all.
It wouldn't have been a big deal -- there are lots of paedophiles and kiddie porn lovers out there -- except for the fact that Prof. Levin once held the post of Deputy Minister of Education minister in Ontario's Liberal government, and was one of the chief architects of Ontario's proposed "modernized and improved" (read: pro-LGBT) sex education curriculum. See "Are perverts pushing Ontario's sex education curriculum? Could be!"
Following cries of outrage from old-fashioned (read: straight) parents, the new curriculum was quietly withdrawn "for further study", even before Prof. Levin embarrassed proud lesbian Kathleen Wynne, then the Minister of Education and latterly Premier of Ontario, by getting caught with his hand in the cookie jar... so to speak.
Prof. Levin denied the charges and was freed on bail, to be further dealt with according to the law at some time in the future... as far as possible into the future. He was relieved of his duties at the aptly-named Queen's Park, and dropped out of sight.
Fast forward to last November. Prof. Levin, still free on bail, has every reason to look pleased with himself when, following the surprising re-election of her very liberal government, Premier Wynne announces that the not-so-new sex education curriculum will be reintroduced. See "Pro-LGBT sex ed coming back to Ontario schools".
Vindication at last for Prof. Levin and the forces of progress, tolerance and so on. Unfortunately, his friends at the Pink Palace were unable to arrange for the charges against him to be dropped, and a trial date was set for March.
What to do? Today -- while Ontarians slumber through a wintry weekend -- Prof. Levin's lawyer announced (quietly) that his client plans to plead guilty to some of the child pornography-related charges against him, while others will be withdrawn. Which charges are which was not specified.
It is passing strange, Agent 3 tells me, for a guilty plea to be announced two months before the court date. And, he adds, it's also unusual for defence counsel to announce the withdrawal of charges. That would normally be for the Crown to do.
But Prof. Levin is not a normal person -- take that any way you like -- and the possibility of further embarrassment to Premier Wynne and the gay cause obviously cannot be countenanced. That's how things are in Canada's most progressive province.

Senior Ontario "educator" charged with child porn offences; lesbian premier recoils in horror
Professor Benjamin Levin is a professor at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto. He is also the Canada research chair in education leadership and policy.
One more thing. According to Toronto police, Prof. Levin likes watching and making child pornography. The alleged paedophile was arrested today and charged with two counts of distributing child pornography and one count each of making child pornography, counselling to commit an indictable offence and agreeing to or arranging for a sexual offence against a child under 16.
The shit-hammer falling on another old pervert would be an unremarkable local story except for yet one more thing. The alleged kiddy diddler is apparently rather highly placed in Ontario government circles. He was a member of the transition team that smoothed the way into the premier's office for Kathleen Wynne, Ontario's [Canada's? The world's? Ed.] first out and proud lesbian head of government.
Again, so what? Well, don't forget that Prof. Levin is an "educator" -- an expert when it comes to teaching the kiddos the 3 R's. And sex education too. Of course. Levin served as Deputy Minister of Education from 2004 to 2009 under former premier Dalton McGuinty. The Minister of Education for much of that time was... wait for it... Kathleen Wynne.
The two of them were instrumental in writing and promoting a new sex education curriculum for the Province of Ontario, which Walt has written about before. (See "further reading", below.) The new sex ed course, targetting children as young as 6, would have thrust the LGBT agenda right down the kids' little throats [or worse? Ed.], teaching them that when it comes to sex, anything goes!
The pushback against the queer curriculum was such that "Premier Dad" ordered it shelved pending a rethink (and an election) and hurriedly shuffled Education Minister Wynne off to a minor portfolio, where she languished until McGuinty unexpectedly quit last year, rather than face an enraged electorate. Now that Ms Wynne is wearing the pants [No. It's her "spouse" that wears the pants now. Ed.] the Ministry floated a trial balloon this spring, suggesting that there was "popular pressure" to revive the new "progressive" curriculum.
Today, the latest Minister of Education, Lez "Sensible" Sandals, attempted to distance the Ontario government from Levin, announcing that he has been suspended from his "work" with the ministry "pending the outcome of the investigation". At the University Avenue Kremlin [Queen's Park, surely! Ed.] Premier Wynne's office said it could not comment on a matter under investigation and referred all questions to the police.

How judicial inquiries work
In the UK and Canada, the accepted way to "deal with" a scandal which is having unpleasant political repercussions is to hold a judicial inquiry or a royal commission. Here's how it works. You find an "unbiased" (but compliant) judge -- a retired judge verging on senility perhaps -- and give him terms of reference that effectively take away his fishing pole. That is, you restrict him from poking too deeply into the dirt at the heart of the matter.
A paradigm of futility would be Canada's famous White Oliphant commission, a topic Walt harped on [wrote on, surely. Ed.] back in 2010. The real scandal was the money that former Prime Minister Lyin' Brian Mullarkey received from Airbus Industries for his part in getting Air Canada (then a crown corporation) to buy a substantial number of its A320 aircraft.
However, the commissioner, Mr Justice Oliphant (retd), was told he was to enquire only into whether Baloney had had any business dealings while he was still prime minister with Karlheinz Schreiber, an oleaginous German-Canadian dealer in armored cars, spaghetti machines and what have you. It was Schreiber who gave the Jaw That Walks Like A Man brown envelopes full of 1000-dollar bills, which the Jaw stashed away and, errr, forgot about until the Mounties started investigating, errr, Schreiber.
The other thing you do, to make sure an inquiry or commission does no harm to anyone, is to deny it the power to punish anyone. It can make findings, and even recommendations, but don't let it initiate criminal proceedings or actually punish anyone or order anyone to do anything. Walt finds that this is ridiculous and recommends that future commissions actually be provided with a few teeth.
Fast forward three years and change location to London, where the British government and its broadcasting arm, the British Broadcorping Castration [British Broadcasting Corporation! Ed.] are up to their nether regions in shit over hundreds of sex crimes which (an independent broadcaster has revealed) were committed by the famous comedian and notorious paedophile, Sir Jimmy Savile.
"Sir Jimmy" got his knighthood from Her Britannic Majesty, by the way, and a similar honour from the late Unblessed Pope John Paul II. Embarrassingly for the Queen and the Vatican, the honours cannot somehow be taken back, since the old bugger mercifully died some months before his delicts came to light.
This week, Brits have been shocked [Shocked, I tell you! Ed.] by more claims of sexual abuse, this time by a senior politician of the Thatcher era. On the BBC's Newsnight programme, a young man said he had been abused by an unnamed politician -- not Lord McAlpine -- at the Bryn Estyn children's home in Wales.
The response of the British government to the latest wave of sex abuse allegations has been altogether predictable. On Tuesday, Home Secretary Theresa May announced a new police inquiry is to investigate fresh allegations into the way police handled child abuse accusations in care homes during the 1970s and 80s.
And -- get this! -- there will also be a judicial inquiry into the failings of previous judicial inquiries. Amazing, isn't it?

Paedophilia in the Church - the effect of the Sixties
An article in Chiesa this week analyses the widespread scandal of sexual abuse by priests and bishops of the Roman Catholic Church. The scandal of pedophilia has always been there, the article says, but was magnified by the cultural revolution of the half a century ago.
The Hippy-Dippy Sixties was a decade of "liberation" -- political, cultural and sexual -- which changed the world. Fruits of this revolution were the "liberation" of women, the spread of feminist ideology, and the acceptance of divorce, birth control pill, and abortion.
The Second Vatican Council (Vatican II) was a product of the turmoil of its times. The Church, which for nearly two millennia stood like a rock for certain principles and revealed truths, started to bend to the winds of fashion. Out of this came the corruption and rot which pervades Her seminaries, rectories and even chanceries today.
The Holy Father, Benedict XVI, makes the claim in his recent letter to the Catholics of Ireland. The Chiesa article provides commentary by two cardinals and a sociologist. Worth repeating here are a couple of paragraphs written by Professor Massimo Introvigne, president of the CESNUR, the Center for Studies on New Religion, in a commentary that appeared on 22 March in the Italian edition of the Zenit online news.
"There was in the 1960's an authentic revolution – no less important than the Protestant Reformation or the French Revolution – that was fast-paced and dealt a tremendous blow to traditional adherence to Catholic teaching and values....
"In the Catholic Church, there was not at once a sufficient awareness of the scope of this revolution. On the contrary, it infected – Benedict XVI maintains today – 'also priests and religious', created misunderstandings in the interpretation of [Vatican II], and caused 'insufficient human, moral, intellectual and spiritual formation in seminaries and novitiates'.
"In this climate, certainly not all priests who were insufficiently formed or infected by the climate following the 1960's, and not even a significant percentage of them, became pedophiles. We know from the statistics that the real number of priest pedophiles is much lower than the ones presented by certain media outlets. And yet this number is not equal to zero – as we would all want – and justifies the extremely severe words of the pope.
"But the study of the revolution of the 1960's, and of 1968, is crucial to understanding what happened afterward, including pedophilia. And to finding real remedies.
"If this revolution, unlike those before it, is moral and spiritual and touches the interiority of man, it is only from the restoration of morality, of the spiritual life and of comprehensive truth about the human person that the remedies can ultimately come. But for this reason the sociologists, as always, are not enough: there is a need for fathers and masters, teachers and saints.
"And we all have a great need for the pope: for this pope, who once again – to borrow the title of his latest encyclical – speaks the truth in charity and practices charity in truth."

A plague of bad priests
Consistent readers of this blog will know that I am a Catholic, and an old-fashioned, traditional Catholic at that. In my opinion the Church has lost Her way. Ever since Vatican II, She has strayed ever farther, in teaching and in practice, from the traditional Faith that was handed down to us, through the Apostles, by Our Lord Jesus Christ Himself.
Those who know me must be wondering when I am going to say something about the child abuse, sexual deviance and other scandals which have swept through the Church in North America, and now Europe, particularly Eire. I can be silent no longer.
Catholics who are trying to keep the Faith are suffering every day the pain of enduring widespread doctrinal and moral corruption in the Church. The crisis of faith and morals now afflicts the Church in virtually every nation, at least in the so-called developed world.
Even though many good priests continue to honour their vows, we read and hear, almost every day, reports of priestly scandals which undermine confidence in the integrity of the priesthood, not to mention the hierarchy of the Church which has looked the other way or even covered up the misdeeds and crimes of many bad priests and bishops.
In North America alone the incidents of sexual abuse of children and women by clerics cannot even be counted. The criminal and civil dockets of North American tribunals contain many claims that clerics either committed, failed to prevent or covered up sexual abuse of men, women and, worst of all, children.
Even in the Church in Africa and India is afflicted by priestly scandal. I am ashamed to read recent reports of the sexual abuse and exploitation, even rape of nuns, by certain priests in those places. We European Christians went to the rest of the world to preach Christian standards of morality, but what do they learn from us now.
The Vatican acknowledges the problem. From time to time there is handwringing, breast-beating and profuse apologies, which are taking on the appearance of rote formulae which are recited whenever another incident comes to light.
Yet the Vatican is doing precious little to punish the abusers or clean out the nest of homosexual and paedophile vipers inside the Church. The faithful do not see very many excommunications of these predatory clerics, who disgrace not only themselves but their innocent and holy brothers in the priesthood, while destroying the Church’s credibility in the eyes of the public. Punishment is left to the secular courts.
Of course God will judge these evildoers, at the End. See St. Matthew 18:6-7. But the faithful and the world at large need to see something concrete done, and done now.
