Speaking (or NOT speaking) of black crime...
In "What the mainstream media don't like to report" (WWW 23/10/22) Walt gave an example (passed along by Agent 3) of how the lickspittle media turn a colour-blind eye to crimes committed by members of the so-called Black Community.
In the Greater [sic] Toronto Area, everyone knows that the majority of violent crimes in certain localities is committed by Persons of (Black) Colour. Yet the legacy newspapers and TV stations omit the names and/or pictures of the accused, so as not to feed the politically incorrect stereotype.
Toronto, like most large North American conurbations, has problems other than murder, rape and armed robbery. Chief among its crime problems is the trafficking in drugs, which ties in with guns and gangs. At the street level -- the gang level -- lots of the perps are black. But when you go up a little higher, the diversity on which Toronto prides itself is more evident. The blacks may provide the brawn, but people of other hues provide the brains.
In the interest of fairness, then, Agent 3 suggests that we publicize a report from Hamilton ON station CHCH-TV, whose website headlines it "Peel police make biggest bust in force's history with over $25M worth of drugs seized". (Peel Region, mentioned as well in our earlier post, is the suburban sprawl immediatelyn west of Toronto.)
Here's the nub of the story. "Members of Peel Regional Police's Specialized Enforcement Bureau joined forces with U.S. Homeland Security to bring down an international drug trafficking enterprise and seized the largest quantity of illegal drugs in the force’s history. The investigation called 'Project Zucaritas' lasted for 11 months and resulted in the seizure of over $25 million worth of drugs."
Now we come to the part about race. "The 11-month investigation identified several group members at various levels of the organization:Wednesday, May 25, 2022

"Mostly peaceful protests" OK for Antifa & loony left, not conservatives
The CBC (Canadian Broadcorping Castration - the propaganda arm of Canada's Liberal government) has got itself all worked up over Friday's confrontation between Liberal leader Blackie McBlackface and a group of Canadians angry about forced vaccination against the kung flu and its more virulent Delta (read: made-in-India) variant.
There were plenty of other things for them to be angry about, but "to be or not to be vaccinated" was the wedge issue Just In Trudeau was looking for, and he got it. In spades!
The protest was more "mostly peaceful" than similar demonstrations by Antifa, BLM and the loony left seen in the Excited States of America. A common obscenity was displayed on a banner and shouted numerous times. The Salmon Arm Salute (having the same meaning as the printed obscenity) was seen. But no punches (or objects) were thrown. No-one was physically assaulted or interfered with. "No harm, no foul!"
The CBC and its masters would have Canadians believe that this sort of thing is simply unacceptable, just "not who we are", as Mr Socks put it. That's just bullshit. The behaviour exhibited yesterday is perfectly fine with the liberal politicians and lickspittle media, if the "mostly peaceful protesters" are on the side of progress and wokeness!
Case in point: Antifa and other comsymp "protesters" roughing up elderly women and men at the rally for Max Bernier held by the People's Party of Canada at Mohawk College in Hamilton ON on 30 September 2019.
The rally went ahead anyway -- "Mad Max" is no coward! -- but not one of the thugs clearly identifiable in the video was ever brought to trial, let alone convicted of anything. And now the CBC, which deplores the much milder behaviour of the protesters at Bolton, refuses to allow any mention of the "Hamilton incident" in the comments section of its hand-wringing, pearl-clutching story.
Canadian readers take note, and remember all this on September 20th!
Footnote: Hey, this story even made it onto Fox News., which normally doesn't pay much attention to events in the No-longer-great No-longer-white North. See "Furious crowd forces Justin Trudeau to cancel campaign event: 'Need freedom'".

VIDEO: Sarah Hegazi... Where did we hear that name before?
First the headline from the hagiography by a very sympathetic Nick Boisvert on CBC News. "LGBTQ activist Sarah Hegazi, exiled in Canada after torture in Egypt, dead at 30".In keeping with the bias of Canuckistan's statebroadcaster, the headline is somewhat misleading. It makes it sound as if Ms Hegazi died as the result of torture by the wicked, homophobic Egyptians. In fact, she committed suicide, after living in Canada for more than two years (at taxpayers' expense, natch) as an "asylum-seeker".
But Ms Hegazi was not idle while she was in the Great No-longer-white North. She was busy fighting for the rights of the alphabet people. Since LGBTQ2etc rights are already well established in Canadian law, she was obliged to turn her attention to campaigning for social justice, and against racism, fascism, yada yada yada, in other ways. Such as? Such as assaulting elderly people at last September's People's Party of Canada rally at Mohawk College, in Hamilton ON. That's her on the left [geddit? Ed.] in the above picture.
In spite of being identified to the Hamilton constabulary (see WWW 11/10/19) as "the 'lady' in the red bandana face mask", who assaulted (besides the lady in the photo), an old man wearing a white PPC hat and an elderly lady using a walker, Ms Hegazi was never arrested. However, her boyfriend Ahmed Alaa, not only mentioned but pictured in today's CBC story, was charged.
This so shamed his Syrian refugee parents that they were "forced" to close down their Toronto restaurant, Soufi's, until they were reassured by liberal politicos and meeja types that it was OK, really, because antifa "protesters" will never be prosecuted. And so it turned out for Mr Alaa, whose charge was somehow forgotten. "Mike, from Simcoe Grey County Clearview Township" takes up the story.
"Here in Canada," Ms Hegazi told the CBC in a 2018 interview, "I haven't people, I haven't family, I haven't friends. So I'm not happy here." The good news, we guess, is that she is now happy in Paradises. I don't know if Muslim women get serviced by 72 virgins or not. Maybe they are segregated from me, as in mosques, but, as an openly gay woman, Ms Hegazi would surely not mind that. So all's well that ends well.

VIDEOS: "Lady" who attacked elderly at Hamilton PPC rally identified
Ms Hegazi's companion, Alaa Soufi DaLua, also outed in the video, has been a source of some embarrassment to his family, who came to Canada as part of the wave of Syrian "refugees" in 2017, and opened up Soufi's restaurant in Toronto. They went on social media recently to apologize for the actions of their son, while announcing that they would have to shut down the restaurant because of alleged death threats. That brought a wave of sympathy from Canada's lamestream media, far surpassing any sympathy shown for the lady with the walker who was confronted by Ms Hegazi and her companions. Mike from Simcoe-Grey County-Clearview Township has posted this video which tells the real story.
Hamilton police have been notified, but so far have not announced any charges.

VIDEO: Max Bernier reacts to Antifa "peaceful protest" at Hamilton ON
It's interesting to compare that video with those shown on CHCH-TV, the independent local TV station. Note from Ed.: Oh!!! Very interesting!!! I just got the embed code from the HuffPost article, and tried to post it here, but... see above! But there's more than one way to defeat censorship! The CP video is now on YouTube. Check it out.
Nowhere in the CP video do you see actual scenes of the violence perpetrated by the Antifa punks, notably the woman with the red bandana covering her face who is seen clearly in the CHCH video attacking first a Bernier supporter wearing the old Red Ensign on his shoulders, and then our own Agent 3.
The CP story and video has been picked up not just by the HuffPost but by the state-owned Canadian Broadcorping Castration, which is now saying that "more arrests are possible". Who could they mean? The lady with the red bandana [like we used to wear playing cowboys and indians. Ed.] ? Stay tuned.
Further viewing: Frank Vaughan, one of the PPC candidates on the panel, has posted "Rubin Event Aftermath - The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly" on YouTube. Just under 21 minutes, it's his patient and understanding take on the "peaceful protest" and how the whole chaotic scene relates to freedom of speech... for everyone... even the loony left. Quote: "Why is assault not assault when left-wing mobs commit it?!"

VIDEO: Antifa thugs assault elderly PPC supporters at Hamilton rally
There were a number of other confrontations and scuffles. Two men from opposing sides of the protests were led away in handcuffs by Hamilton police. Inspector Knacker said there were a total of four arrests for "breach of the peace", but all those detained were later released without conditions. Free speech, perhaps? Hamilton police are continuing their investigations.
Inside the McIntyre Arts Centre, When the event got underway, Maxime Bernier emerged on stage while "Eye of the Tiger" played. He received multiple standing ovations throughout the night for pledging to increase "personal freedoms" for all Canadians. He was joined onstage by American YouTuber and political commentator Dave Rubin, and two PPC candidates -- Prof. David Haskell (Cambridge-North Dumfries) and Frank Vaughan (Northumberland-Peterborough South), who acted as moderator. "Mad Max" praised all of his candidates, saying "[They] are not real politicians, and that's great! People don't trust politicians anymore."
The four chatted at length about preserving freedom from censorship in Canada, their doubts about climate change science, keeping government small and the PPC's plan to repeal the Multiculturalism Act. They also talked about immigration, with M Bernier saying the party's plan is "not racist, not anti-immigration and not pro-mass-immigration." The party would drastically reduce immigration to Canada, he said, and focus resources on those citizens already in the country.
When asked if he'd be willing to engage in a debate with protesters outside the venue, Mr Rubin said "I'd be happy to talk to them if they're not in my face and screaming at me and calling me a Nazi." He found that not just offensive but funny, considering that he's Jewish (also gay!) and that last night was the beginning of Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish new year.
"If I could sit down with any of those people and chat about it, I would try to do exactly what I did tonight", he said, "which is really try to get them to understand what are your rights, where do your rights come from and how special it is to live in a place like Canada or the U.S."

PC police hound Christians for refusing to say Easter Bunny is real
You couldn't make this stuff up. A Christian couple from Hamilton ON had to go all the way to the province's Superior Court to be allowed to continue acting as foster parents. Why? Because the Children's Aid Society took away the girls they were fostering because the pair refused to tell the children that the Easter Bunny is real! The court was told that CAS support worker Tracey Lindsay had visited Frances and Derek Baar to see how the girls, aged 3 and 5, were getting along. Although Ms Lindsay acknowledged that the girls looked well cared for in all respects, she was horrified to find that the Baars had neglected or (gasp) refused to teach the girls about the Easter Bunny! The Hamilton Children's Aid Society said it expected staff and foster parents to put aside their "personal beliefs and values" when caring for children who are coming from "different settings".
The Baars told Ms Lindsay they intended to hide chocolate eggs and have the girls find them on Easter and play other games, but didn't plan to speak to the children about the Easter Bunny, unless the girls specifically asked questions about the character. Describing themselves as a Christian couple with "strong religious faith", they argued that telling children in their care that the Easter Bunny is real was contrary to their religious beliefs.
In a rare win for common sense over political correctness -- and for Christian values over secular humanism -- Superior Court Judge A.J. Goodman agreed with the Baars. He found that the couple did try to have the children enjoy holidays such as Easter and Christmas. "There is sufficient evidence to assert that the Baars did, indeed, attempt to preserve the children's enjoyment of the holidays, even of they were not able, pursuant to their religious beliefs, to positively perpetuate the existence of the fictitious characters that are associated with those holidays," wrote the judge.
Mr Justice Goodman went on to say, "There is ample evidence to support the fact that the children were removed because the Baars refused to either tell or imply that the Easter Bunny was delivering chocolate to the Baars' home. I am more than satisfied that the society actions interfered substantially with the Baars' religious beliefs." Those beliefs, he concluded, include the couple's belief that it is wrong to lie.
Mr and Mrs Baar have been vindicated, but they will no longer be taking in foster children in Liberal Ontario. They have moved to Alberta, where political correctness is said to be somewhat less pervasive. We close with a small graphic reminder of the main point to this story.

PC madness in Bloomington IN
Why? Because the new super-politically correct names will help make the holidays more inclusive, according to Bloomington Mayor John Hamilton. (Mayor Hamilton is unrelated to Alexander Hamilton, the subject of the eponymous Broadway musical, which also happens to be very PC.) Mayor Hamilton sent a memo to city employees this week in which he explained that the centuries-old names imply cultural insensitivity. The new names will avoid even the remotest possibility of giving offence to anyone except Christians and Italian-Americans.
In his memo, Mayor Hamilton raised to new heights the bar for "celebrating diversity" ["pandering", surely. Ed.]. "We are terrifically proud of our diverse workforce at the city," Hizzoner wrote. "That diversity makes us stronger and more representative of the public we proudly serve. These updated names for two days of well-merited time off is another way we can demonstrate our commitment to inclusivity."
Mr Hamilton's unilateral decision to rename the days will be no surprise to residents of Bloomington. Thanks to the presence in the city of that great seat of liberal learning, Indiana University, Bloomington and surrounding Monroe County are overwhelmingly populated by guilt-ridden white liberals. The county gave Hellery Clinton 58.6% the vote on November 8th, preferring her to President-elect Trump [Walt loves that phrase! Ed.] by nearly 14,000 votes.
Book recommendation: Guilt, by Ann Coulter (Three Rivers Press, 2009). Amongst other things, you can read about all the confused white gliberals who "self-identified" as "oppressed minorities" and all the "hate crimes" that turned out to be hoaxes perpetrated by SJWs.

America's Founding Fathers opposed unrestricted immigration
President Obama claims that restricting immigration in order to protect national security is “offensive and contrary to American values.” No-limits liberals have attacked common-sense proposals for heightened visa scrutiny, profiling or immigration slowdowns as “un-American.”
America’s Founding Fathers, I submit, would vehemently disagree.
Our founders, as I’ve reminded readers repeatedly over the years, asserted their concerns publicly and routinely about the effects of indiscriminate mass immigration. They made it clear that the purpose of allowing foreigners into our fledgling nation was not to recruit millions of new voters or to secure permanent ruling majorities for their political parties. It was to preserve, protect and enhance the republic they put their lives on the line to establish.
In a 1790 House debate on naturalization, James Madison opined: “It is no doubt very desirable that we should hold out as many inducements as possible for the worthy part of mankind to come and settle amongst us, and throw their fortunes into a common lot with ours. But why is this desirable?”
No, not because “diversity” is our greatest value. No, not because Big Business needed cheap labor. And no, Madison asserted, “Not merely to swell the catalogue of people. No, sir, it is to increase the wealth and strength of the community; and those who acquire the rights of citizenship, without adding to the strength or wealth of the community are not the people we are in want of.”
Madison argued plainly that America should welcome the immigrant who could assimilate, but exclude the immigrant who could not readily “incorporate himself into our society.”
George Washington, in a letter to John Adams, similarly emphasized that immigrants should be absorbed into American life so that “by an intermixture with our people, they, or their descendants, get assimilated to our customs, measures, laws: in a word soon become one people.”
Alexander Hamilton, relevant as ever today, wrote in 1802: “The safety of a republic depends essentially on the energy of a common national sentiment; on a uniformity of principles and habits; on the exemption of the citizens from foreign bias and prejudice; and on that love of country which will almost invariably be found to be closely connected with birth, education and family.”
Hamilton further warned that “The United States have already felt the evils of incorporating a large number of foreigners into their national mass; by promoting in different classes different predilections in favor of particular foreign nations, and antipathies against others, it has served very much to divide the community and to distract our councils. It has been often likely to compromise the interests of our own country in favor of another.”
He predicted, correctly, that “The permanent effect of such a policy will be, that in times of great public danger there will be always a numerous body of men, of whom there may be just grounds of distrust; the suspicion alone will weaken the strength of the nation, but their force may be actually employed in assisting an invader.”
The survival of the American republic, Hamilton maintained, depends upon “the preservation of a national spirit and a national character.” He asserted, “To admit foreigners indiscriminately to the rights of citizens the moment they put foot in our country would be nothing less than to admit the Grecian horse into the citadel of our liberty and sovereignty.”
On Thursday, a bipartisan majority of U.S. senators on the Senate Judiciary Committee adopted a stunningly radical amendment by Sen. Pat Leahy, D-Vt., to undermine the national interest in favor of suicidal political correctness. The measure would prevent the federal government from ever taking religion into account in immigration and entrance decisions “as such action would be contrary to the fundamental principles on which this Nation was founded.”
This pathway to a global right to migrate runs contrary to our founders’ intentions as well as decades of established immigration law. As Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., pointed out in a scathing speech opposing the Leahy amendment: “It is well settled that applicants don’t have the constitutional right or civil right to demand entry to the United States. … As leaders, we are to seek the advancement of the Public Interest. While billions of immigrants may benefit by moving to this country, this nation state has only one responsibility. We must decide if such an admission complies with our law and serves our national interest.”
Put simply, unrestricted open borders are unwise, unsafe and un-American. A country that doesn’t value its own citizens and sovereignty first won’t endure as a country for long.

Canadian chicken tries to cross road, doesn't make it
Why did the chicken cross the road? One chicken in Hamilton tried to live out the old joke. The bird was stopping drivers as it wandered into traffic on Dundas Street in Dundas Thursday morning. Passers-by pulled over and got out of their cars as the chicken ran afoul, said one of those drivers, Andru Valpy.
Valpy called the Hamilton Police non-emergency line, who put him through to animal control services after a good laugh. "I didn't catch the joke at first," he said. "Sadly, the chicken did not make it to the other side. It was trying to go from the south side of Dundas to the north side of Dundas when I found him."
Animal Control instructed Valpy to grab the chicken from the road and look after it until they arrived. Before animal services got there, he took care of it for a half hour in the parking lot of a retirement home. "One of the neighbours gave (the chicken) some seed, made sure I was taken care of and the chicken was taken care of, more importantly," he said. The chicken is now recovering in the care of Animal Control.
So, why did the chicken attempt to cross the road? The answer is not clear. The neighbour believed the chicken could have flown from a passing truck carrying chickens, said Valpy. The chicken looked like it had been clipped. "We suspect it might have flown the coop and tried to start a new life," he said.
Animal Control told Valpy that if that were the case, the chicken would be going to a much better home now. "There's no yoking about that," Valpy said.

14-year-old selling chocolate bars victim of sexual assault
A Niagara Falls man is facing sex charges following an investigation by Hamilton Police involving a 14-year-old.
Police said the investigation looked into complaints said to have occurred between May 2012 and February 2013 when the teen was selling chocolate bars door-to-door and in parking lots in the Hamilton area.
Charged with sexual assault, sexual interference and uttering threats is Maged Younes, 33, of Niagara Falls.
The article in the QMI papers doesn't say who the teen victim was working for, but Len would be prepared to be a chocolate bar that it was Help Kids Canada. See "Chocolate for charity scam still operating?" The answer appears to be "yes".
Also not clear from the story is how the girl could have been assaulted by the same person over the course of ten months. Is it possible the perp was the kid's "manager"?
Another innocent question: What is the accused's immigration status in Canada?
Anyone with further information is asked to call Hamilton police at 905-546-3854.

Hamilton's Hillbilly Heaven draws flak over flag
In fact, business is so good that owner Cameron Bailey is opening a second location on King Street East at Walnut Street North, in Hamilton's so-called International Village. (The original restaurant is still serving food for white folks at 647 Upper James Street, at the corner of Fennell.)
They've got some nice new signs, of course, featuring a symbol that shows clearly what Mr. Bailey and his establishment are all about.
Yessiree Bob, it's the Battle Flag of the Confederate States of America, known as "the Rebel Flag" for just over 150 years. To Mr. Bailey, the flag represents working class values, and the fight to protect a way of life.
Needless to say, the multiculti gang, leaders of the "diversity industry" and other "progressive thinkers" are up in arms. Many wrote letters to the city, and of course protests are planned for the second Hillbilly Heaven's grand opening later this month.
Is Mr. Bailey concerned? No way! "Is it against the law?" he asks. "No. Then no one should be complaining. If you want it to come down, take me to court and make it against the law. But until that's the case, I'm not doing anything wrong."
Chris Schafer, the executive director of the Alberta-based Canadian Constitution Foundation, told the National Post that as long as Mr. Bailey is not denying service to anyone, he has every right to post the Confederate flag over the door of his business. "By putting a Confederate flag up, beyond the fact that it doesn't have...meaning necessarily in Canada, if it's bad for business let the business owner suffer the consequences of going out of business," he said.
That's pretty much what Mr. Bailey thinks. "That's how it works in this country. If you don't like something, don't buy it." Walt cannot but agree.
Footnote: Hillbilly Heaven now has its own website. Click here to see it. And if you go for some great BBQ, tell `em Walt sent ya!

Hillbilly Heaven -- a politically incorrect place to eat
This is particularly the case at a restaurant called Hillbilly Heaven. As the name suggests, it's pretty red in the neck. The owner, Cameron Bailey, describes it as "no place for the timid". Which is why he's the owner, because timid he ain't.
Bailey's good ole boy attitude has been noticed. He's not one to hide his biases or suffer fools gladly. Last year he caused a stir when he posted a big sign by the cash register that said halal meat, rice, kabobs, shawarmas and other items are "things we don't have and never will".
On the door was another notice proclaiming, "To better serve you, our staff speaks ENGLISH."
Mr. Bailey told the Toronto Star he makes no apologies for his attitude. "This is my own country — we're going to demand a few things around here. I don't really care. Don't try to intimidate me. We serve what we serve. Don't yell at me and expect me to change that. Call me a racist all you like; it's not going to change."
Hillbilly Heaven's owner attracted the attention of the Red Star this week when he posted an ad on Kijiji asking for servers and counter staff at the downtown location. Nothing unusual about a restaurant looking for help, but Bailey's ad included a message for dependents of the Canadian, Ontario and Hamilton governments.
"We know that Ontario's overly generous unemployment and OW [Ontario Works] systems make it seem pointless to accept a job but we want people that are better than that," Bailey wrote. "It's that simple."
The ad went on to tell job-seekers not to e-mail a résumé. Such e-mails, Bailey wrote, will be deleted. And don't call, because he won't talk to you. No, you have to do it the old-fashioned way, showing up in person prepared for a 20-minute interview.
Why so strict? Because, the ad says, "We call to schedule interviews. Half of you don't even bother to return the call. We schedule interviews and 75% of you don't bother to show up for the interview. We offer the job and 30% of you accept it and then don't bother to show up for work on the first day."
Judging from the response so far, Mr. Bailey's no-bullshit approach appears to be working. The Kijiji ad has had hundreds of hits, and as of Friday 16 people actually showed up. One was hired on the spot. That person had a wife and two kids, "so that part is a good news story," said Bailey.
For Walt's readers in the Hamilton area who may be thinking of going out for a good (North) American bite to eat, Hillbilly Heaven (647 Upper James St.) serves ribs, sandwiches and pulled pork. You can probably get huevos too because Mr. Bailey sounds like he's got big ones.

NHL's Atlanta Thrashers move to Winnipeg. What next?
This is the second time that top-level pro hockey has failed in Atlanta. It didn't draw flies, leaving the owners drowning in a sea of red ink. This happened back in the 70s, when the Atlanta Flames were extinguished, only to be rekindled in Calgary.
Now "Flames Lite" head north of 49 to give Winnipeg its second chance at supporting Canada's national winter sport.* Previously the City that Summer Passes By had its own failed franchise, the Jets, now surviving -- only just -- as the Phoenix Coyotes.
When the Coyotes inevitably fold their tents [strange metaphor! Ed.], they will be welcome to relocate to some other Canadian city. Québec City and Hamilton already have putative owners waiting with open chequebooks. It is said that Toronto would also like to have a team.
* OK, I'll tell you. Canada's national summer sport is lacrosse. You're welcome.
