UPDATED: Your Singhs today - "Brampton man" nabbed at border

Do any of our readers watch Border Security? Regular viewers will know that a lot of the action takes place at the land borders between the Paranoid States of America and the Great No-longer-white North, specifically at the Peace Bridge to Buffalo NY, the Peace Arch near Blaine WA, and the Blue Water Bridge to Port Huron MI. 

At those border crossings, US Customs and Border Protection officers are constantly on the lookout for unemployed frostbacks coming into the USA for work, and big rigs full of drugs. It's the latter that prompted President Trump to impose tough tariffs on Canada, to motivate the feckless Liberal government to do something to put a stop to it.

Who's driving all those drug-laden transports back and forth across the border? Very often it's "men from Brampton", the suburb of Toronto where Sikhs make up the majority of the population, thanks to the Liberals' wish to ensure the never-ending election of turban-winders. 

Many of the many Sikhs driving erratically along the highways of Ontario, Michigan and New York are "temporary foreign students" at the notorious Singh School of Truck Driving, such as Karamveer Singh, not pictured at right.

On June 12th, the hapless Mr Singh got caught by the CBSA (Canada Border Services Agency -- the counterpart of the CBP), which has been exerting itself lately to show President Trump that Canada will do its part to stem the flow of mind-altering substances across the border. 

He was attempting to drive a commerical truck across the Blue Water Bridge through the point of entry at Point Edward ON, across the water from Port Huron MI. During the inspection of the trailer, border services officers, with the assistance of Detective Mcgruff, the drug-sniffing dog, discovered the items pictured below.

That's 161 bricks of "suspected" cocaine -- it's still being tested by the officers -- contained in 6 boxes. The total weight of the "suspected" narcotics was 411 lbs, with an estimated street value of C$23.3 million (about $169 million in real money). 

The CBSA arrested Karamveer Singh, 27, of Brampton ON, and transferred him and the "suspected" narcotics to the custody of the Mounties. Mr Singh has been charged with Importation of Cocaine, and Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. Nothing has been said about how he got into Canada. The investigation is ongoing, but don't bother staying tuned.

Footnote added at 1212: Peel Regional Police are asking for the public’s help in tracking down several suspects after a man was shot dead at his Brampton workplace last week. He has since been identified as Sharnpreet Singh. The workplace is believed to be other than the Singh School of Truck Driving. Source: Global TV News, 25/6/25.

It's the drugs, stupid! That's the thesis of Samuel Cooper, an investigative journalist and author of Willful Blindness: How a network of narcos, tycoons and CCP agents infiltrated the West. I haven't read this book -- just heard of it now, in fact -- therefore can't recommend it, but Mr Cooper certainly puts forward an interesting... and very scary hypothesis.

In this intereview with Daniela Cambone, Mr Cooper says, "There are very deep concerns that Canada is being used by China in a very sophisticated economic and truly criminal way." And that's the reason, he says, for President Trump's recent rhetoric about tariffs and Canada becoming the 51st state.

It's not a tactic to get Canada to renegotiate the trade deal with the US of A, he says, but a ploy to curb the massive illegal fentanyl trade originating from Canada. "China ships the precursors to the West Coast of Mexico and the West Coast of Canada," he says, "so Vancouver is used as a hub for these precursors." He also details how elite Chinese politicians involve Canada in illegal money laundering, while Canadian politicians turn a blind eye to it. 

In just a couple of hours, President Trump is scheduled to have a telephone conversation with Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of All Canuckistan. Walt wonders if this is what they will talk about! Will we ever be told? Don't bet on it.

Your Singhs today (Canada-US border edition)

It must be apparent by now, even to someone as tone-deaf as Canadian Prime Minister "Junior" Trudeau, that if he's going to honour his pledge made at Mar-a-Lago (see previous post) to tighten up security on the border between Canada and the US of A, he's going to have to confront his great and good friends in the Sikh community.

Because M Trudeau depends for electoral success on the multitudes of Singhs -- all Sikhs are Singhs -- in the `burbs of Vancouver and Toronto, his law enforcement minions and the lickspittle media tend to downplay or outright ignore the involvement of numerous graduates of the Singh School of Truck Driving (see WWW passim) in the cross-border traffic in cocaine, guns and other contraband.

You don't believe? Consider this report from the Illinois State Police, released yesterday. According to the press release, two Ontario men are facing charges after troopers seized 540 kilograms of cocaine from a tractor-trailer which they stopped on Interstate 80 on the afternoon of November 29th.

The cops were conducting a commercial vehicle inspection on a Volvo tractor-trailer on I-80 in Henry County. "During the commercial motor vehicle inspection, the trooper observed numerous indicators of criminal activity," the news release read. "A subsequent search revealed suspected cocaine. The total approximate weight of the cocaine located was 1146 pounds and has an approximate street value of more than $40 million dollars."

The accused, who police said are both residents of Ontario, have been identified as 27-year-old Vanshpreet Singh and 36-year-old Manpreet Singh. They have been charged with possession of cocaine, possession with intent to deliver cocaine, and cocaine trafficking. 

Homeland Security investigators have been called in to figure out how the Singhs and their very large truck got into the US of A without being challenged at the World's Longest Undefended Border (TM). Is a puzzlement. Perhaps if the border were properly defended, such things wouldn't happen.

Canada to become 51st US state? No, eh!

President-Elect Donald Trump had a weekend visitor at Mar-a-Lago, none other than the Right Honourable Blackie McBlackface, Prime Minister of All Canuckistan. Following Junior's ceremonial kissing of POTUS's ring [Which one? Ed.], he and his entourage were offered a sumptuous state banquet of roasted crow, followed by a dessert of humble pie.

Then came the after-dinner surprise. The atmosphere was convivial, with the two leaders nibbling on crab cocktail and slurping down oysters as they discussed issues of tariffs, border security and trade deficits. But for all the superficial chumminess -- like Spike the bulldog and his little sycophant, in the old Warner Bros. cartoons -- President Trump remained focused on what he wanted from Canada.

What would that be? He's quoted as saying that "Canada has failed the U.S. border by allowing large amounts of drugs and people across the border, including illegal immigrants from over 70 different countries."

But wait, there's more.... Mr Trump reportedly became more animated when it came to the U.S. trade deficit with Canada, which he estimated to be more than $100 billion, and told the Canuck "leader" that if Canada cannot fix the border issues and trade deficit, he will levy a 25% tariff on all Canadian goods immediately on returning to office."

At that point, sources say, Junior started whining and playing the victim card. While shedding crocodile tears, he told POTUS that he just couldn't impose such a tariff "because it would kill the Canadian economy completely."

One would have thought that M Trudeau would have made some positive response, such as an offer to tighten up the World's Longest Undefended Border (TM), but he said nothing, at least not anything that could be heard, about doing anything to stop the cross-border flow of illegal aliens and drugs. He just wanted President Trump to withdraw his threat for nothing, out of concern for the well-being of Canada!

President Trump wasn't biting. "So," he said to Chief Walking Goose, "your country can't survive unless it's ripping off the U.S. to the tune of $100 billion?" If that's the case, he suggested, Canada should become become the 51st of the United (?) States of America. The very idea! Not knowing whether or not to take the President-Elect seriously, the Canuck PM and his entourage laughed nervously.

The Donald followed up with the quip that Trudeau could be governor of the new states, although, he said, "prime minister is a better title." According to Fox News, someone at the meeting, then warned Mr Trump that, as a state, Canada would be deep blue, whereupon he suggested it become "two states, a leftist one and a patriotic one." LOL?

OK, seriously... He may be smiling and laughing, but President Trump is making it clear that he is very serious about tackling the problems that beset the US of A, and intends to do everything he can to solve them. 

That's why Canadians should be happy about President Trump's little jest. Walt's many Canadian agents and friends don't want to become Americans. They just want the American Sickness -- symptoms: wokeism, DEI, division, waste and enforced mediocrity -- to be stopped at the border. 

Thanks to Blackie McBlackface, Canada already has more than enough of those things, plus the 1000s of bogus refugees who used first Trump victory as an excuse to enter Canada illegally, and are still squatting there. What Canadians want is the Trump Cure... without having to become Americans to get it.

"Project 24K" proves Greater Toronto a really multicultural city

Today, 17 April 2024, is the first anniversary of the Great YYZ Gold Heist. (Regular readers will know that YYZ is the airport code for Toronto's Pearson airport.) This was the largest theft of gold in Canadian history, and possibly the sixth-largest in the history of the world. Here's a CCTV image of (police say) the robbery in progress.

According to the Peel Regional Police, the take was 6,600 gold bars, valued at over C$20 million ($14.5 million in real money) and roughlyC$2.5 million in folding money. The gold and currency was ordered from a refinery in Zurich, Switzerland, then transported in a container through an Air Canada flight that landed at YYZ at 1556.EDT.

The cargo was then offloaded to an Air Canada cargo facility, where, a couple of hours later, a suspect arrived at the facility with a "fraudulent airway bill...for a legitimate shipment of seafood that was picked up the day before." A police spokesthingy told the meeja today, "This duplicate airway bill was printed off from a printer within an Air Canada cargo facility." 

Shortly thereafter, a forklift arrived with a container of gold and foreign currency and was loaded into the rear of the suspect’s truck. He then hauled ass with the haul. [You're not quoting the copper, right? Ed.] Almost six hours after the plane landed, Brink’s Canada employees arrived at the Air Canada cargo site to collect up the shipment of gold and currency, only to be told it had already been picked up. Everyone had a good think overnight, and called the cops the next morning.

An investigation dubbed "Project 24K" was launched right away... kind of... and has now identified nine suspects, who have been arrested, charged or had Canada-wide warrants issued against them. Let's see who they are.

Durante King-Mclean, a 25-year-old resident of Brampton ON, has been identified as the driver who allegedly stole the cargo from the airport. It was his bad luck to be stopped last September by a Pennsylvania state trooper, who found dozens of illegal firearms inside his rented car. 

Police say the driver ran away but was arrested shortly after. He appeared to be illegally in the United States, and when they checked him on the police database, it flagged him as wanted by Peel police. 

When troopers opened the Nissan’s trunk, they didn’t find gold bars, but 65 guns instead, that were destined to be smuggled into Canada, according to an indictment filed in the US of A. Besides the guns, American investigators found messages between King-Mclean and Prasath Paramalingam, 35, another Bramptonian. Paramalingam sent King-Mclean a photograph of large amounts of Canadian currency wrapped in stacks with rubber bands. 

Paramalingam and another unnamed person from Toronto flew from Toronto to New York City to deliver money to King-Mclean. Five days later, Paramalingam flew back to Toronto via Miami. King-Mclean stayed in Fort Lauderdale, where he allegedly took several photos of guns and large amounts of real money. He left Florida in August 2023 in a rental vehicle and drove north. That's when he was stopped just outside Washington DC by Pennsylvania state troopers. 

In today's presser, Peel police named nine people identified and/or charged as a result of  Project 24K. Arrested in Canada were: 

Parmpal Sidhu, 54, of Brampton [Again? Ed.] who was named as an Air Canada employee. He is charged with theft over $5,000 and conspiracy to commit an indictable offence; 

Amit Jalota, 40, from Oakville, charged with possession of property obtained by crime, theft over $5,000, and conspiracy to commit an indictable offence; 

Ammad Chaudhary, 43, from Georgetown, charged with accessory after the fact; 

Ali Raza, a 37-year-old jewelry store owner from Toronto, charged with possession of property obtained by crime; and 

Prasath Paramalingam, charged with accessory after the fact.

Durante King-Mclean, the alleged getaway driver, is formally listed as wanted by Peel police, although he is in custody in the United States.

Peel police are also searching for:

Simran Preet Panesar, a 31-year-old Brampton man who was an Air Canada employee at the time of the theft but resigned after the heist. He is wanted for theft over $5,000 and conspiracy to commit an indictable offence.

Archit Grover, 36, from Brampton, pictured at right [Sorry, Walt, this is the only photo I could find. Ed.] is considered a fugitive in Canada and the United States. In Canada. He is wanted for theft over $5,000 and conspiracy to commit an indictable offence. In the US. he is accused of helping King-Mclean after his roadside arrest and hindering the investigation, including removing possible evidence from the Floridea Airbnb where King-Mclean stayed, and arranging a $1000 payment to the car rental agency for an amended rental agreement. 

Arsalan Chaudhary, 42, from Mississauga, wanted for theft over $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime and conspiracy to commit and indictable offence.

Reading through that list of names, Walt is struck by the apparent ethnicity of the suspects. Not an Irishman among them! With the exception of "Jimmy" Durante King-Mclean, they all appear to be... errr... south Asian. Paramalingam is a Lankan name. The rest are probably Indians, some of them Sikhs. By their turbans ye shall know them, and large numbers of them work in and around Pearson Airport.

I mention this because I'm reminded of Project Kraken, about which I wrote in "'Project Kraken' proves Greater Toronto a really multicultural city", WWW 29/6/19 -- one of our most-read articles. Project Kraken had to do with drugs and guns. I've asked Ed. to find out if any of the same names appear in the list of those charged in that case, but he hasn't got back to me yet. [Don't hold your breath. Our readers got the point already. Ed.]

"Our country is a mess!" And it's caused by the influx of foreigners

"Oh dear!" (Walt hears the libtards cry!) "How dare you, how dare you, give space to senophobic, racist, white supremacist, yada yada yada propaganda? Except it's not. It's the honest opinion of a black woman, Zandile Dabula, who last June was elected President of Operation Dudula, a movement set up in South Africa two years ago to formalise what had been sporadic waves of vigilante attacks against foreigners dating back to shortly after blacks took power in 1994.

Ms Dabula is calm, charismatic and emphatic about the group's message: Foreigners are the root cause of South Africa's economic hardship.

When a reporter for the BBC (Britain's very woke state broadcaster) argues that this campaign is based solely on hate, she tells her: "We must be realistic here that most of the problems that we have are caused by the influx of foreign nationals. 

"Our country is a mess. Foreign nationals are working on a 20-year plan of taking over South Africa."

When challenged, she admits the "20-year plan" was a rumour but says she believes it is true. "You see drugs everywhere and most of the drug addicts are South African rather than foreign nationals. So, what's happening? Are they feeding our own brothers and sisters so that it can be easy for them to take over?"

Operation Dudula calls itself a civic movement, running on an anti-migrant platform. "Dudula" is a Zulu word meaning "to force out". With one in three South Africans out of work in one of the most unequal societies in the world, foreigners in general have become an easy target. The South African Social Attitudes Survey for 2021 found that almost half of the population of 60 million people believed there were between 17 and 40 million immigrants in the country.

Current polling suggests support for the Communist-backed African National Congress (ANC), the party once led by Nelson Mandela which has governed South Africa since 1994, could fall below 50% for the first time. Operation Dudula has ambitions to fill that vacuum and has now transformed itself from a local anti-migrant group into a national political party, stating its aims to contest next year's general election.

Operation Dudula's most pressing complaint is the huge influx of drugs into South Africa's most deprived communities. With drugs comes crime. South Africa's justice minister says that immigrants made up 8.5% of all convicted cases in 2019 and 7.1% in 2020. The figures are lower than those for the US of A, but, unlike Americans, South Africans intend to fight back, and they mean "fight" literally.

In Diepkloof, in eastern Soweto, the BBC joins a so-called Dudula taskforce. Men in trucks are going to confront a Mozambican shopkeeper who a South African landlady alleges has not paid his rent. A confrontation ensures, in which one of the men, Mandla Lenkosi, threatens to beat up the foreigner. 

When the BBC asks, the Dudula group maintain they are enforcing the law. Mr Lenkosi, also from Soweto and out of work, takes part in raids on migrant homes and workplaces, people who are suspected of anything from drug dealing to remaining in the country past their visa date.

"We grew up in apartheid times, where things were much better than what it is now," he says, pointing to the drug problems. "The law was the law [then]." 

His fellow Dudula supporter, Cedric Stone, agrees: "South Africa needs to go back to the old South Africa that we know. "Our fathers started the tuck shops but today all those tuck shops are all foreigners, especially, Bangladeshis, Somali and Ethiopians. Why?"

Ms Dabula says critics of Operation Dudula who maintain it is a collective of violent vigilantes are wrong. "We don't promote violence and we don't want people to feel harassed," but adds, "We cannot be overtaken by foreign nationals and do nothing about it." 

Hundreds of supporters travelled to attend Dudula's first national conference in Johannesburg in May, where members voted to register the group as a political party. Waving South African flags, dancing and singing their way through the streets to the City Hall, it felt like a celebration. However, the songs they sang carry a threatening... and plain... message: "Burn the foreigner. We will go to the garage, buy some petrol and burn the foreigner."

At the same gathering, Isaac Lesole, Operation Dudula's technical adviser, posed a question to the cheering supporters: "Do we make peace with illegal foreigners?" In union, they shouted back, "No!"

Footnote: Americans are fed up to the teeth with the problems caused by "migrants" and "uncodumented aliens". But they would never take up arms to resist the invasion of their communitiees, would then. No, of course not.

Speaking (or NOT speaking) of black crime...

In "What the mainstream media don't like to report" (WWW 23/10/22) Walt gave an example (passed along by Agent 3) of how the lickspittle media turn a colour-blind eye to crimes committed by members of the so-called Black Community.

In the Greater [sic] Toronto Area, everyone knows that the majority of violent crimes in certain localities is committed by Persons of (Black) Colour. Yet the legacy newspapers and TV stations omit the names and/or pictures of the accused, so as not to feed the politically incorrect stereotype. 

Toronto, like most large North American conurbations, has problems other than murder, rape and armed robbery. Chief among its crime problems is the trafficking in drugs, which ties in with guns and gangs. At the street level -- the gang level -- lots of the perps are black. But when you go up a little higher, the diversity on which Toronto prides itself is more evident. The blacks may provide the brawn, but people of other hues provide the brains.

In the interest of fairness, then, Agent 3 suggests that we publicize a report from Hamilton ON station CHCH-TV, whose website headlines it "Peel police make biggest bust in force's history with over $25M worth of drugs seized". (Peel Region, mentioned as well in our earlier post, is the suburban sprawl immediatelyn west of Toronto.)

Here's the nub of the story. "Members of Peel Regional Police's Specialized Enforcement Bureau joined forces with U.S. Homeland Security to bring down an international drug trafficking enterprise and seized the largest quantity of illegal drugs in the force’s history. The investigation called 'Project Zucaritas' lasted for 11 months and resulted in the seizure of over $25 million worth of drugs."

Now we come to the part about race. "The 11-month investigation identified several group members at various levels of the organization:

Khalilullah Amin, 46-year-old man from Caledon has been charged with two counts of trafficking in controlled substances.

Jaspreet Singh, 28-year-old man from Brampton has been charged with one count of trafficking in a controlled substance, and one count of possession of property obtained by crime.

Wray Ip, 27-year-old man from Richmond Hill has been charged with four counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Ravinder Boparai, 27-year-old man from Mississauga has been charged with one count of possession of property obtained by crime, and one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Gurdeep Gakhal, 38-year-old man from Caledon has been charged with one count of trafficking in a controlled substance."

Oh... The names (which we applaud CHCH for publishing) don't tell you anything? You think maybe those guys might be Irish? Here are the mug shots, courtesy of the Peelers. (British readers will get that.)

How's that for a  nice diverse group. Looks to me like one Muslim (Idi Amin's cousin?), one Chinese, and three Indians, including at least one Sikh. Coincidentally, statistics from the 2021 census of Canuckistan, released today, showed that the majority of immigrants in recent years come from those very same Asian communities. As Just In Trudeau would say, "Quelle surprise!"

The report continues: "Investigators have also identified two transfer hubs allegedly involved in the distribution of illicit drugs:

North King Logistics, a commercial trucking company located at 50 Steeles Ave. in Milton.

Friend Furniture, a business located at 2835 Argentia Rd. in Mississauga."

Milton ON has in recent years become the new home of 1000s of Muslims from the Mid-East and South Asia. Argentia Road, in the notheastern quadrant of Mississauga ON, around Toronto's main airport, has for decades been populated mainly by south Asians of the Sikh persuasion.

This is not just a Canadian problem. The report concludes: "To disrupt and dismantle this group, SEB liaised with the U.S. Homeland Security Investigations in Detroit and Chicago, and Border Enforcement Security Task Force in Buffalo."

The fact that Detroit, Chicago and Buffalo have large black populations is irrelevant, as is the fact that all three cities have been run for decades by fairly elected Democrats.

VIDEO: Update on Jordan Peterson's health

I have been remiss in not posting news about the health crisis which has afflicted Jordan Peterson, whose name will certainly be familiar to regular readers. For those who don't know, Dr Peterson is a Canadian clinical psychologist and a professor of psychology at the University of Toronto. His main areas of study are in abnormal, social, and personality psychology, with a particular interest in the psychology of religious and ideological belief and the assessment and improvement of personality and performance. He has for years been a champion of freedom of speech and thought, and a soft- but outspoken critic of political correctness.

In 2016, Dr Peterson released a series of YouTube videos criticizing political correctness and the Canadian government's Bill C-16, "An Act to amend the Canadian Human Rights Act and the Criminal Code". The act added "gender identity and expression" as a prohibited ground of discrimination. Dr Peterson characterised the bill as an introduction of compelled speech into law. He subsequently received significant media coverage, attracting both support and criticism.

Later that year, Dr Peterson went on a strict diet consisting only of meat and some vegetables to control severe depression and an autoimmune disorder. In mid-2018 he stopped eating vegetables, and went on a carnivore diet, eating only beef. In 2019, he entered a rehabilitation facility after experiencing symptoms of physical withdrawal when he stopped taking the anti-anxiety drug clonazepam, which he had begun taking, on his doctor's recommendation, following his wife's cancer diagnosis.

Last month, Dr Peterson's daughter, Mikhaila, revealed that he had spent the previous year struggling with both a physical dependency and a paradoxical reaction to the medication, and had gone to Russia to seek an emergency medical benzodiazepine detox, available only in that country. His condition was further complicated by severe pneumonia which developed in one of the hospitals he had been in previously.

Dr Peterson spent four weeks in the ICU, but survived. In this short video, Mikhaila gives an update on her father's condition.

"Project Kraken" proves Greater Toronto a really multicultural city

The Toronto Police Service [sic] (not exactly as pictured) assisted by forces from around the Greater Toronto [sic] Area, had a busy time in the pre-dawn hours of Thursday morning.

Following an eigh-month-long investigation -- dubbed "Project Kraken" -- into drugs and guns in the GTA, the boys in black did what they love to do -- dress up like soldiers and break into people's houses and apartments. The raids resulted in the arrest of 55 people. Add in 18 previously arrested for a total of 73, now charged with a grand total of 599 offences.

Who are these people (I hear you ask)? Where did they come from? Are they "old-stock Canadians", or perhaps "new Canadians" imported from the shitholes of the Caribbean, the Middle East and Africa. Inspector Knacker does not keep (or, perhaps, disclose) details of race, religion, or citizenship status. All we can do is peruse the list of names, as released by the TPS, and take an educated guess. Click on the link if you want to see details of who's charged with what. Don't expect any surprises.

It wasn't headline news in the rest of the world, but the recreational use of marijuana became legal across Canada yesterday. Numerous tickets for DUI and other offences have already been handed out by Inspector Knacker of the Mounties. 71% of Canucks told a pollster they couldn't care less. But it's another feather in the rainbow cap of Prime Minister Just In Trudeau, who made this the centrepiece of his 2015 election campaign. Maybe next year he'll promise to legalize opioids or crystal meth?

Fake "obeah man" cons Jamaican murderers into confessing

Walt's favourite court-watcher, Agent 3, has been following a murder case wending its way through the courts of Ontario, Canada's most populous province. As those who know the Greater [sic] Toronto Area would expect, race and religion are involved.

The victim of a 2004 shooting in Brampton, Ontario -- an increasingly dark bedroom community northwest of Toronto -- was Youhan Oraha, a drug dealer. The three accused were Evol Robinson, his differently-surnamed brother Jahmar Welsh, and their friend Ruben Pinnock. All of the accused are, errr, Jamaican-Canadians.

In their trial before Mr. Justice Terrance O'Connor of the Ontario Superior Court, the evidence which did them in was that of an undercover cop who posed as an "obeah spiritual advisor", to whom the accused gave what amounted to a confession.

A confession given to a Catholic priest would have been inadmissible under Canadian law. Sadly for the accused, obeah has nothing to do with Christianity. It centres on mysticism and spiritualism and is commonly practised by people of Caribbean descent. The word "voodoo" comes to mind, but at the trial four defence experts at trial called obeah "a form of religious practice".

Judge O'Connor questioned the sincerity of the accused's religious beliefs, and allowed the fake testimony of "Leon de Obeah Man". The bogus spiritualist had told the boys that the Robinson family was cursed by an evil spirit, a "white boy" who had drawn police and the judiciary to them. He offered to protect them, so they spilled their guts to him. "Guilty, guilty, guilty!" Said the judge.

Was that the end of it? Is the Pope Catholic? [Apparently not. Ed.] Enter the Canadian Civil Liberties Association and the African-Canadian Legal Clinic, organizations funded by charitable donations and tax dollars willingly and unwillingly provided by whities. These assiduous opponents of racism and champions of religious freedom put to the Ontario Court of Appeal the argument that the religious rights of the accused were breached by the racist police, in sending "Leon" to extract incriminating information that the accused otherwise wouldn't have given.

The CCLA intervention argued that allowing police to impersonate religious advisers "shocks the conscience of Canadians." The African Canadian Legal Clinic said the police trickery "preyed on the Robinson family's deep-seated mistrust of the criminal justice system". Well, duh!

The appeal court disagreed with the appeal to political correctness. In a judgement released yesterday, three white judges wrote: "We conclude that any religious element in the Obeah sessions with Leon is properly characterized as trivial, insubstantial and dwarfed by the corrupt motives that induced the appellants to participate in and fall for the elaborate scheme of deception practised upon them."

Furthermore, the court found police did not compel any action for a religious purpose. "Leon encouraged the appellants to adopt Obeah practices, but encouragement short of compulsion does not infringe" religious rights, said the judges.

Nor did the judges accept that the applicants were "unfairly targeted because of they are black and of Jamaican heritage". Rather, they were singled out because they were suspected of murder. Well said. Let's see the liberal activist lawyers get the Supreme Court of Canada to reverse that one!

"Police intelligence" in Canada's wild west

"Whatcha got growin' in your garden, there, pardner?" That's what the cops on the Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team ("ALERT" -- geddit?) asked Ryan Thomas Rockman back in July, before digging up more than 1,600 plants, shown in this picture taken by CP's Ian Martens at a press conference called by the cops to announce the detection and destruction of a huge marijuana grow-up, namely Rockman's garden. [Was it by any chance a rock garden? Ed.]

The Rock Man would be facing serious charges when he goes to court tomorrow except for a small weakness in the Crown's case, namely that the plants are not maryjane after all, but Montauk daisies, a fall-blooming perennial that the accused has been growing for ten years.

The red-faced ALERT have dropped the charge of producing a controlled substance, but are pushing on with a potful of other charges, because, as we all know, if the police arrest someone, he must be guilty of something!

Rockman told the Lethbridge Herald, "It made me look like a villain and it made them look silly.... It baffles me, to be honest. At the same time, I don’t want to try to point the finger of blame at them either because they’re still just trying to do their mandate and make it home every day."
How Canadian is that?! An American would have sued the bastards, right sharpish.

Insp. Dan Konowalchuk [How Albertan is that? Ed.], head of the combined forces special regional enforcement units, defended the officers’ actions when interviewed by the Toronto Star.
"I don’t think there is anything at this point for the guys to apologize for. They acted on what they believed to be the best information they had at the time.... We don’t know for sure they’re daisies," he said, even though test results, which came back this week, clearly prove the seized plants weren’t marijuana.

The plants were only about half as high as one would expect, and of course they were in Rockman's garden, not a clearing in a cornfield. But, Konowalchuk said, it might have been some "sub-strain" of marijuana, perhaps a dwarf variety. "There are some similarities to the (marijuana) plant when you look directly at the plant," he told the Star. "But are they identical? No, they’re not. (Even so) the guys thought they we dealing with a large grow operation and they responded accordingly."

Walt's question of the day: What are the chances of Mr. Rockman being found not guilty of anything at all in the courts of Canada's redneckiest province? Answer: The accused has two chances -- slim and none. Start building the scaffold.

Mugabe calls Jamaica a nation of pot-smokers

Comrade Bob Mugabe, the head nagger of Zimbabwe, owes his too-long life to lean living. He neither drinks alcohol nor smokes anything. Certainly not "mbanje" which is the chiShona word for marijuana, the sacramental herb so beloved of Jamaicans like Saint Bob Marley, after whom Mugabe was named.

Speaking last week at the "Research and Intellectual Expo" in his country's capital, Uncle Bob made some rather strong statements about Jamaica, which he described as a nation of marijuana smokers, where women were now taking charge since men were always sloshed.

Mugabe said he wished Zimbabwe had never followed the footsteps of Jamaicans whose influence on the impoverished African country is pervasive.
"In Jamaica they have freedom to smoke mbanje, men are always high, and universities are full of women. The men want to sing and do not go to colleges. Some are dreadlocked. Let us not go there," was how Mugabe put it.

Toronto (Canada) mayor Big Bob Ford is studying Mugabe's remarks from behind the wheel of his Escalade while stuck in traffic. And Jamaican Foreign Affairs minister A.J. Nicholson said on Sunday that his government was aware of the report but is not yet in a position to comment, as everyone is recovering from the weekend jump-up.

"I'm 76 and I'm tired" - Who really wrote this?

Agent 46 sent Walt a piece called "I'm 76 and tired", supposedly written by Bill Cosby. Ever-alert Ed. said he thought it looked familiar, and sure enough, we ran a version of this -- correctly attributed -- almost a year ago.

Anyway, this piece on being yesterday's guy in today's society are worth repeating. It's even more relevant today than it was a year ago. And it expresses the way I feel -- as another old geezer -- just about every time I read the news. After you've read it, I'll tell you who really wrote it.

I'm 76. Except for brief period in the 50's when I was doing my National Service, I've worked hard since I was 17. Except for some some serious health challenges, I put in 50-hour weeks, and didn't call in sick in nearly 40 years. I made a reasonable salary, but I didn't inherit my job or my income, and I worked to get where I am. Given the economy, it looks as though retirement was a bad idea, and I'm tired. Very tired.

I'm tired of being told that I have to "spread the wealth" to people who don't have my work ethic. I'm tired of being told the government will take the money I earned, by force if necessary, and give it to people too lazy to earn it.

I'm tired of being told that Islam is a "Religion of Peace," when every day I can read dozens of stories of Muslim men killing their sisters, wives and daughters for their family "honor"; of Muslims rioting over some slight offense; of Muslims murdering Christian and Jews because they aren't "believers"; of Muslims burning schools for girls; of Muslims stoning teenage rape victims to death for "adultery"; of Muslims mutilating the genitals of little girls; all in the name of Allah, because the Qu'ran and Sharia law tells them to.

I'm tired of being told that out of "tolerance for other cultures" we must let Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries use our oil money to fund mosques and madrassa Islamic schools to preach hate in Australia, New Zealand, UK, America and Canada, while no one from these countries is allowed to fund a church, synagogue or religious school in Saudi Arabia or any other Arab country to teach love and tolerance.

I'm tired of being told I must lower my living standard to fight global warming, which no one is allowed to debate.

I'm tired of being told that drug addicts have a disease, and I must help support and treat them, and pay for the damage they do. Did a giant germ rush out of a dark alley, grab them, and stuff white powder up their noses or stick a needle in their arm while they tried to fight it off?

I'm tired of hearing wealthy athletes, entertainers and politicians of all parties talking about innocent mistakes, stupid mistakes or youthful mistakes, when we all know they think their only mistake was getting caught. I'm tired of people with a sense of entitlement, rich or poor.

I'm really tired of people who don't take responsibility for their lives and actions. I'm tired of hearing them blame the government, or discrimination or big-whatever for their problems.

I'm also tired and fed up with seeing young men and women in their teens and early 20's bedeck them selves in tattoos and face studs, thereby making themselves unemployable and claiming money from the Government.

Yes, I'm damn tired. But I'm also glad to be 76. Because, mostly, I'm not going to have to see the world these people are making. I'm just sorry for my granddaughter and her children. Thank God I'm on the way out and not on the way in.
