How to order a Quarter-Pounder in London

Walt presumes the reference is to London, England, not the one in Ontario, although Agent 3 says don't be too sure of that.

Is it too soon to jump to the usual conclusion?

This is a screen grab from a video seen on newscasts worldwide today. This bearded man, wielding a large sword, allegedly attacked several people in the east London suburb  of Hainault this morning, killing a 14-year-old boy and injuring four others. 

"A 36-year-old man" -- maybe not the man pictured? -- was arrested at the scene and is in the custody of the Old Bill. [Will non-Brits know what you mean? Ed.]

Police received calls around 0700 local time reporting that a vehicle had been driven into a house, and that people had been stabbed. 

The video shows a man wearing a yellow hoodie holding a long sword walking in the residential area. The attacker was tasered and apprehended within 22 minutes of the first call to police. Unfortunately,  within those 22 minutes, someone -- maybe the man in the video, maybe not -- stabbed five people. 

A 14-year-old boy was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries but, a police spokesthingy said, he "sadly died shortly afterwards," (Walt can't imagine anyone dying in any way but "sadly".) Two other members of the public were injured and are currently in the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Two cops were also stabbed and suffered "significant injuries requiring surgery."

What shall we make of these facts? The same police PR person made haste "to reiterate that at present we do not believe there is any ongoing threat to the wider community.” He added that police do not believe the attack to be terror-related. 

No doubt that is why they have refused to provide any information about the man who had his collar felt [Will non-Brits know what you mean? Ed.] except his age. They said nothing about any words or shouts -- such as "Allahu akbar!" -- which may have been uttered by the attacker.

So we won't say anything about the use of a curved sword, aka a scimitar -- "a single-edged sword with a convex curved blade associated with Middle Eastern, South Asian, or North African cultures." Nor will we run the usual meme. Not yet....

Walt is away

About 24 hours ago, Walt told me he was going to London, and I assumed he meant London, for the Grand Hoohah celebrating the 70th anniversary of the ascension of Queen Elizabeth II to the throne of Not-so-Great Britain, now known as the Disunited Kingdom. Her Imperial Majesty's Platinum Jubilee is being celebrated even as we speak. 

I'll give the Brits credit for one thing. They sure know how do to up a military marchpast. And the old girl tottered out onto the balcony of Buck House, along with her eldest boy, a real Charlie for sure, to take the salute. So we say: good on yer, Liz! We Wish you 70 more!

But I digest. Apparently Walt meant the London in Canada, not the real one. He got a deep discouont fare with City Airlines, and then this happened

"Islamophobic" attack in London: a calm look at the facts

Last week Canada's liberal political and media elites were clutching their pearls over the discovery of over 200 unmarked graves -- not one mass grave! -- at the Kamloops (BC) Indian Residential School. See "Canadian residential school deaths: a calm look at the facts", WWW 7/6/21. Copious quantities of crocodile tears were shed. Vigils were held. Statues of old white men were torn down. And apologies were issued on behalf of all those evil Canadian white supremacists.

This week's victims, we are told, are the 1000s of Muslims who have chosen to immigrate to the Great White North, notwithstanding that it's no country for followers of the Prophet. Why would anyone say that? Because, while out for a Sunday evening stroll in London ON, a family of recent immigrants from Pakistan were run down by someone driving a black pickup truck. Salman Afzaal, 46, his wife Madiha Salman, 44, their daughter Yumna Afzaal, 15, and Salman's mother, Talat Afzaal, 74, were killed. The youngest member of the family, nine-year-old Fayez, survived and remains in hospital.

All that is known, really, is that the family were standing on or near the corner of a busy intersection, waiting to cross the street, when they were struck. The truck did not stop. Nathaniel Veltman, 20, of London, the alleged driver, was arrested some six miles away from the scene, and charged with four counts of first-degree murder and one count of attempted murder. London city police have called in the Mounties with a view to laying charges of terrorism as well. 

Under the Criminal Code of Canada, murder in the first degree requires premeditation. Mr Veltman was heretofore unknown to the police. There is no evidence of any relationship between him and the Afzaal family, or any motive that he might have had for attacking them. 

Nevertheless, Inspector Knacker waited all of 30 seconds before announcing that this was a "targeted killing", with the victims being selectede because of their Muslim faith. Since they did not have placards around their necks proclaiming their faith, it must be assumed that, seeing the way they were dressed, the driver of the truck (whoever he may be) just jumped to that conclusion. 

Open-and-shut case then? Agent 3 says that if he were defending Mr Veltman he would have a lot of questions to ask, such as:

- Where exactly was the family standing when they were hit? Did London's finest send an accident reconstruction squad to the scene? Is it possible the Afzaals were crossing the street against a red light? Did the truck drive straight through the intersection or did it make a right turn?

- On what basis was Mr Veltman arrested, six miles from the scene? Does he own/drive a black pickup truch? How many such trucks are registered to London addresses?

- What evidence -- not suspicion but evidence -- do the police have of "targetting"? What do they say as to Mr Veltman's motivation? 

- Even supposing that he did want to kill the Afzaals, why would not attack them in their home? Why wait until they went out for a walk? And how would he have known that they were standing at that particular location at that particular time?

Deplorable as the killing of these people is, Agent 3 says there's plenty of reasonable doubt about whether it was first-degree murder, let alone terrorism. There could be doubt, too, about who was behind the wheel of the black pickup, and what actually happened at the scene. 

Until such doubts are replaced by certainty, it is wrong to politicize the incident, as Prime Minister Blackie McBlackface and socialist leader Jugmeat Singh have done, by calling for still more laws against "Islamophobia" and "hate speech". You can't legislate brotherly love and peaceful co-existence.

One more thing.... How is it that when a white guy does something like this, all the rest of us millions of white men have to don the sackcloth and ashes, and admit that we are racists and haters, but when an "other" (non-white, and let's say non-Christian) does it, it's just the act of a mentally ill "lone wolf" (like this guy) and shouldn't be interpreted as in any way characteristic of followers of "the religion of peace"? Just askin'...

Headline of the year (so far)

Today is 20200202, a very special date for Chinese and other numerologists. Why? Because it's a palindrome. Geddit? We will not see another one until... errr... we won't see another one.

Breaking news: The latest real news from Old Blighty is that "a man" was fatally shot by armed police officers in south London, after a "terrorist-related", according to the Metropolitan Police. In a tweet Sunday morning, Inspector Knacker of the Yard said a "number of people" had been stabbed at Streatham High Road, but that the attacker had been killed. Nothing, of course, about the attacker's nationality, ethnicity or religion. "Allahu akbar!"?

Notice is hereby given to those who took Walt's bet, at 100-1 odds, that the terrorist who killed two and injured three others on London Bridge yesterday would not be a British-born white Christian (or Jew): YOU LOSE. Sorry (NOT). Walt's lifetime pct .977.

Late yesterday, Inspector Knacker of the Yard [in reality, Metropolitan Police Chief Dick... really. Ed.] said the attacker was Usman Khan, a 28-year-old who was released on probation last year after serving six years for terrorism offences.

Mr Khan is not related to London Mayor Sadiq Khan, a peaceful, moderate Muslim. UPDATE ADDED at 0830. He is now identified as "British". His family is from Pakistan-controlled Kashmir. He was convicted in 2012 of terrorism offences and released in December 2018 "on licence," which means he had to meet certain conditions or face reincarceration [not reincarnation. Ed.] The other Mr Khan -- the mayor -- says now that there should be an investigation regarding his -- the terrorist's -- early release from prison.

Several British media outlets reported that he was wearing an electronic ankle bracelet. Basu said Khan was attending a London event hosted by Learning Together -- a Cambridge-based organization that works to educate prisoners -- when he launched the attack, killing a man and a woman and injuring three others.

None of the (((controlled media))) which Walt has checked so far have mentioned the religion or ethnicity of the late Usman Khan. Although his attack on innocent passers-by was quickly labelled "an act of terrorism", the word "Islamic" has yet to appear. Nor has anyone called Mr Khan a Muslim, even though that's what he was. Some of the lamestream media have not even shown his picture, although it has been available on Wikipedia since his 2012 conviction. No need to stoke the fires of Islamophobia, right?

Walt will refrain from saying "Told ya so!" But... those who have eyes to see, let them see. And remember, the truth is not "out there". It's here!

Footnote: Thanks to the anonymous reader who told us that the term used by Dutch police to describe the copycat (?) who wounded three people in yesterday's attack in the Grote Marktstraat of The Hague is "licht vertint", meaning slightly tinted. The attacker is still at large.

UPDATED: Allahu akbar! in London... now The Hague too!

Just when you thought it was safe to go outside again! After months of relative quiet, London has once again experienced the result of allowing hundreds of thousands of Muslim migrants to settle in one's country. Parts of central London are on lockdown, and Inspector Knacker of the Yard has declared an "isolated incident" on London Bridge this afternoon (GMT) a terror attack. Of course the authorities haven't used words like "Muslim" or "Islamist", but here's what we know so far.

A "person" started attacking people walking along London Bridge with a knife, before being shot by police on the north side of the bridge. Footage circulating on social media showed members of the public detaining the suspect and taking possession of a knife. Police confirmed that "a number of people have been stabbed."

The head of UK counter-terrorism policing told the meeja, "At approximately 2 PM today, police were called to a stabbing at a premises near London Bridge. Emergency services attended including officers from the City of London Police and Metropolitan Police. A male suspect was shot by specialist armed officers from City of London police and I can confirm that this suspect died at the scene." He added added that police "believe a device [apparently a suicide vest] that was strapped to the body of the suspect is a hoax explosive device."

Prime Minister Boris Johnson, Interior Minister "My Good Mrs" Patel and London Mayor Sadiq Khan all expressed concern and said they were being updated on developments. "We must — and we will — stay resolute in our determination to stand strong and united in the face of terror," said Mayor Khan. "Those who seek to attack us and divide us will never succeed." Mr Khan is a peaceful, moderate Muslim -- not the sort who would wage jihad on those who do not follow the Prophet.

No word yet as to the identity of the attacker, let alone his nationality, ethnicity or religious beliefs, or what he may have shouted just before he was sent to Paradise, where he's now being serviced by 72 virgins. Those who wish to bet that he was a British-born white Christian (or Jew) are invited to send their money by PayPal to the usual address. I'll pay 100 to 1 if that turns out to be the case.

UPDATE added at 1120: Word just in that two people have died from wounds inflicted by the attacker. Still no word on the perp's identity etc etc.

FURTHER UPDATE added at 1225: This just in on the Mojo wire: Dutch police said this afternoon (local time) that three people had been wounded in a stabbing on a shopping street in The Hague. Inspektor Klompen said they were seeking a man aged 45 to 50, and described him using a Dutch term often applied to people of North African descent. [Would anyone who speaks Dutch and can tell us the term please contact me. Ed.] Sounds like a jihadi copycat to me. Does that make me an Islamophobe?

MSM - The truth is not out there! The truth is HERE!

Trust in the lamestream media is at an all time low. There are heavy agendas at work, and people have noticed. Much of the "news" purveyed by the likes of the Clinton News Network, MSNBC, Canadian Broadcorping Castration and even ESPN is either fake or so biased it might as well be fake. Conservative/Republican/alt-Right BAD!
Liberal/Democrat/antiFa/SJW/"progressive" good. Just compare the coverage of the same story -- any story -- on (for example) CNN and Fox News. Are they reporting on the same event? Are they living on the same planet?

More problematic, in terms of getting the truth, is what the lamestream media don't tell us. Anything that doesn't fit the liberal narrative, or makes the "progressive" flavour-of-the-month look bad, is suppressed. In a lame effort to show that it is fair and unbiased (as it should be, since it's taxpayer-funded), the CBC allows comments on its news site. But only sometimes. And only some comments! Two of Walt's readers have been having fun trying to post disparaging words about Canada's SJW "Minister of Global Affairs". They are competing to see who can get more comments "pinked" (= disabled). One of them, who I'll identify only as "JU" is currently in the lead, having been banned from the boards for three week. The words "hate crime" were used in the notice of his punishment.

Here's another example. This week I put up a post on the latest terror attack in London, in which "someone" drove a car into a crowd outside Westminster, the British parliament building. It took two days for the London police and the state-owned BBC to provide any information about the attacker. When the facts could be suppressed no longer, they finally admitted the would-be killer was "a British citizen", to which they added, almost in a whisper "born in another country". Turns out the other country was Sudan, a predominantly Muslim country in Africa.

But wait (as Vince Offer used to say), there's more. From Breitbart News (a source routinely disparaged by the LSM) we learn that Salih Khater "came to Britain after spending two years in Libya, and was granted asylum by the British government. Just weeks before what police are treating as an attempted terror attack, Khater was granted full British citizenship. And yes, he's a Muslim. (To be fair, Breitbart cribbed their report from the Times of London, one of the least worst mainstream sources.)

The media, academia and the clever folks in Hollywood still can't get over the fact that Donald Trump won the election in spite of their strenuous efforts. Alleged people like Joy Behar jsut can't get over it! They rail against POTUS for every supposedly evil deed, word or even thought committed since his election, or before it, or expected to be committed in the future (e.g. starting a war with Iran).

At the moment they're consigning him to hell for having supposedly used the word "nigger" --  notice I didn't wimp out and refer to it as "the N-word" -- a decade or so ago. And for calling a woman of colour a "dog", even though the Donald has used the same epithet, recently, to describe a number of white men. Honestly, dear reader, who amongst us has never in his life called people names like that... or worse?

Fortunately, it doesn't matter. Outside of the chattering classes on the coasts, no-one cares. No-one is even listening! Last week, more viewers tuned in to the history channel and HGTV than CNN. Fox news is still the most-viewed news channel. In the (((controlled media))) you'll find all the "truth" that (((George Soros'))) of Jeff Bezos' or can buy, or that the liberal democratic governments of Canada and Britain will allow. But the real truth is over here, in the wonderful world of blogs and independent media.

UPDATED: VIDEO: Black man drives car into crowd near UK parliament, cops "suspect terrorism"

I'm not going to spend too much time one this because it's all becoming so depressingly familiar, besides which no-one was killed... this time.

In London today, at 0737 local time, a man drove a car at high speed along the road in front of Westminster, the seat of the Mother of Parliaments [Notice he didn't say "Mother of ALL Parliaments"? Ed.], hitting several pedestrians and cyclists before crashing into barriers outside the Houses of Parliament.

A black man in his late 20s was arrested at the scene on "suspicion of terrorist offences", according to Inspector Knacker of the Anti-Islamophobia Command of the Metropolitan Police. Yes, we have video showing a man in a puffy black jacket being surrounded by officers, handcuffed and led away from a silver car.



Two people were taken to local hospitals, but authorities said their injuries aren't believed to be life-threatening. Witnesses, however, were shocked, shocked by the "incident", which was reminiscent of a similar occurrence near the same place a year ago, when four people were killed and at least 50 were injured after a man, later identified as Khalid Masood, a follower of the Prophet, drove an SUV into pedestrians on Westminster Bridge.

Some witnesses went so far as to suggest that today's "incident" was deliberate. The Counter-Terrorism Command of the Metropolitan Police is now in charge of the investigation, but are keeping the usual politically correct silence about the suspect. "He was arrested on suspicion of terrorist offences," the bobbies said in a statement. "There was nobody else in the vehicle, which remains at the scene and is being searched. No weapons have been recovered at this stage." Nothing to worry about or even talk about, then.

UPDATE ADDED 14/8/18 at 1055: We now have a photo of the "suspect" dragged out of the car by the police.

Doesn't look like an Arab, does he. But that doesn't mean he's not an Islamist. Latest reports say the "suspect" lived in Birmingham. His identity has not yet been revealed -- mustn't provoke Islamophobia, you know -- nor has his status in the UK. Mustn't provoke xenophobia or anti-immigrant backlast either!

UPDATED ADDED 15/8/18 at 0440: The suspect now having his collar felt by London police has been identified as Salih Khater, a 29-year-old "British citizen of Sudanese origin". He was living in public housing about 10 minutes from the former home of Khalid Masood, the Islamic terrorist responsible for last year's London bridge massacre. Diffident British "authorities" still haven't used words like "Muslim" or "Islam", but no-one is being fooled by the cover-up.

Katie Olivia Hopkins will celebrate her 43rd birthday in five days and Walt will join the many others wishing her many happy returns. She's my kind of people! [Does "kind of people" = "peoplekind"? Ed.] Mrs Hopkins is an English media personality, who first came to notice in 2007 as a reality television contestant. Nothing wrong with that. She might even become a politician some day. Like tomorrow! Later on, she became a columnist for British newspapers, initially the Sun and later the MailOnline.

Mrs Hopkins has been accused of racism by the usual gang of leftie journalists and politicians, SJWs and assorted snowflakes for daring to tell the truth about the hordes of bogus "refugees", asylum-seekers and other third-worlders who have turned London into "Londonistan". Last May she lost her job as a presenter on London radio station LBC for her comments on the Manchester massacre. (WWW 23/5/17).

Katie Hopkins has now joined The Rebel, to which she contributes Hopkins World [Clever title! Ed.], one of the site's featured sections. At the moment she is in South Africa to cover the impending resignation of President Jacob Zuma... unless she gets booted out of the country first!

"Stop Islamisation!" banner unfurled on London bridge

"Raise high the banner!" Now there's a catchy exhortation for you. Not new, but catchy. It could serve as a slogan for the Identitarian Movement (see "Further reading", below), which made its presence known in London this morning. Anti-Islamization activists unveiled a large banner on Westminster Bridge, so their message -- "Defend London - Stop Islamisation" -- faces directly into Westminster, the mother of all parliaments.

Here's a closer look. The movement's name and logo are seen beside "Defend London Stop Islamisation". ["Islamisation" is the British spelling of what we call "Islamization". Ed.] Displaying it prominently in the heart of Not-so-great Britan is the latest in a series of Identitarian demonstrations in cities across Europe, calling attention to the group's anti-immigration cause.

A statement posted to social media immediately after the action explained the symbolism of the location. "On 22 March 2017, a terrorist attack took place on Westminster Bridge. The Islamist inspired attack killed 5 people and injured more than 50. London Mayor, Sadiq Khan, believes that the threat of terror attacks are 'part and parcel of living in a big city'. On the contrary, we think that the source of Islamisation lies in mass immigration, which must be stopped."

Parsons Green suspects arrested at asylum-seekers halfway house

Time for a further update on the Parsons Green Islamic terror attack. British police today announced the sixth arrest in the course of their Parsons Green bombing investigation, with a 17-year-old Muslim taken into custody in the Thornton Heath district of south London.

He had his collar felt (Americans please read: was detained) pursuant to Section 41 of the Terrorism Act. Forensics experts were busy today scouring a three-storey house in the suburb, which neighbours say houses asylum-seekers being "dealt with" by the Home Office.

The online edition of the Daily Mail reports that three men aged 25, 30 and 48 were apprehended by Inspector Knacker while staying at a half-way house for refugees in South Wales. A 21-year-old, named in some reports a Yahyah Farroukh, a Muslim "refugee" from Syria, was arrested in West London.

The first man arrested was an 18-year-old Iraqi who is thought to have been referred to a deradicalization programme before the attack. Those who've been paying attention should remember that President Trump said the attack was perpetrated by people who were "within sight of Scotland Yard". For that, he was castigated by British Prime Minister Theresa May for "speculating" about something which was still under investigation. Turns out Mr Trump was right. Walt speculates (!) that he had inside information which wasn't given to Mrs May!

Meanwhile, an Iraqi painter-decorator who was first in the latest wave of arrests by anti-terror police investigating the Parsons Green tube bombing has been pictured for the first time. Mahdi Ramadi, known as Bilal, has been named locally as one of the three men detained in Wales. Witnesses said he smiled when police moved in to arrest him.

Here, in its entirety, is the latest update from AP on the attempt by radical Islamic terrorists to cause a catastrophic explosion on the London Underground at Parsons Green station.

British police have arrested a third suspect in connection with the bomb that partially exploded on a London subway last week. Police said they arrested a 25-year-old man in Wales on Tuesday evening under the Terrorism Act. They say a property in Newport, Wales, was being searched.

Two other men arrested over the weekend -- an 18-year-old refugee from Iraq and a 21-year-old from Syria -- remain in custody. Neither has been charged. The partially exploded bomb injured 30 people when it detonated inside a crowded subway car on Friday.

Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) militants have claimed responsibility.

Apart from the references to the country of origin of the first two suspects (reported here on WWW before it was acknowledged by the police or UK government), there is no reference to the ethnicity (Arab) or religion (Islam) of any of the "usual suspects" so far rounded up by Inspector Knacker.

Also missing from the AP report is confirmation that the number of jihadists in detention is actually five -- this according to CBC Radio this morning. UPDATE added at 0750. AP has now included in its bulletin the arrests under the Terrorism Act of a 48-year-old man and a 30-year-old man under the Terrorism Act in Newport, Wales. As usual, nothing about the ethnicity or religion or immigration status of those arrested.

Meanwhile, on the sidelines of the UN meeting in New York today, British Prime Minister Theresa May is having a meeting today with senior executives from Google, Facebook and Microsoft, alongside her French and Italian counterparts, Emmanuel Macron and Paul Gentiloni. Why? To urge the giant internet companies to take down "extremist content" within two hours, so as not to aid "extremists" in spreading their propaganda.

Walt wonders which "extremists" Mrs May has in mind. She's the world leader (NOT) who told President Trump that he shouldn't "speculate" about the Parsons Green bombers' identities and motives. Her request to Google et alii to monitor and delete "extremist content" sounds to me like yet another politically correct attack on freedom of speech. That kind of censorship could easily be applied not just to Islamist websites, but to such moderate and helpful online publications as... errr... Walt Whiteman's World!

UK cops arrest two in terrorist bombing, won't name names

Two men have now had their collars felt (North American readers please read: been arrested) by Inspector Knacker for "possible" roles in Friday morning's terrorist bomb attack on a rush-hour subway train at Parsons Green station in west London. 29 passengers were injured, but the amateurish IED failed to explode as planned, and no-one was killed. ISIS has claimed responsibility for the fifth terrorist attack in the UK this year.

On Saturday, police arrested an 18-year-old man in the departure area of the port of Dover, where ferries leave for France. Late Saturday night, a 21-year-old man was arrested in Hounslow in west London and is being held under the Terrorism Act at a south London station, where he is helping police with their enquiries.

Neither man has not been charged or identified. It wouldn't do to provoke Islamophobia, you know. But sooner or later someone will have to be identified as a perpetrator of the jihadist attack, or a conspirator at least. Walt predicts his name will be Mohammed, or some variant thereof. VIDEO: Subway explosion in London: who dunnit if not ISIS?

We had a bit of a vacation from Islamic terror this summer, but "the harvest is passed, the summer is ended, and we are not saved." (Jeremiah 8:20). This morning an explosion ripped through a packed London Underground (subway) train at Parsons Green. 29 people were injured, but no-one has died... yet.

Passengers reported seeing a device in one of the tube train cars, and hearing a bang during the Friday morning rush-hour. Footage posted on Twitter appears to show a burning device -- a white plastic bucket inside a foil-lined shopping bag. Flames and what appear to be wires can be seen emerging from the top.



Assistant Commissioner Mark Rowley, head of Inspector Knacker's counterterrorism unit, said "We now assess this was a detonation of an improvised explosive device." Walt says, "No shit, Sherlock!" In keeping with precedent and the British tradition of fair play, innocent until proven guilty and so on, the coppers declined to point the finger at Muslims or ISIS or Druids or anyone in particular. "There are many urgent inquiries ongoing with hundreds of detectives involved, looking at CCTV, carrying out forensic work and speaking to witnesses," Mr Rowley said in a statement to the meeja. Apparently no cries of "Allahu akbar!" were heard, and no group has so far claimed responsibility.

UPDATE ADDED FRIDAY AFTERNOON: British Prime Minister Theresa May, politically correct to a fault, scolded President Trump for daring to "speculate on what is an ongoing investigation." The US president had described the attackers, in a Tweet, as "loser terrorists" and "sick and demented people who were in the sights of Scotland Yard." Mrs May probably thought Mr Trump meant "Islamic terrorists", but of course it wouldn't be "helpful" to so describe them. By the sheerest coincidence, ISIS claimed responsibility for the terror attack about two hours after Mrs May spoke.

UPDATE TO THE UPDATE: Mrs May also objected to President Trump's suggestion that the British authorities should be more "proactive" in dealing with the terrorists. Mr Trump had tweeted "Loser terrorists must be dealt with in a much tougher manner." Walt had no sooner posted the above update when the mojo wire spat out news that the UK government has raised their national threat level to "critical" from "severe", which means it expects another attack imminently. Mrs May now says there will be a greater presence of armed police in public places. Sounds more proactive to me!

Footnote: By Ed.'s count this is the fifth terrorist attack in not-so-Great Britain this year. Used to be it was the IRA that the Brits had to worry about, but now it's not militant Catholics, but militant Muslims! Just because Islamophobia isn't "a real thing" doesn't mean the jihadists aren't out to get us!

UPDATED: Muslims on wrong end of London terrorist attack... this time

When the mojo wire spat out the first reports of another van attack in London, I immediately started composing a headline incorporating the phrase "Allahu akbar!", which is what Islamic terrorists yell as they massacre innocent "infidels". But then came video from the scene which turned out to be... wait for it... the sidewalk in front of the once-notorious Finsbury Park Mosque. The mosque was associated with Islamic extremism for several years after 9/11, but was shut down and reorganized. AP says it has not been associated with radical views for more than a decade.

If you're looking for Muslims, for any reason, a mosque is where you'll find them, especially after evening prayers during Ramadan, as they get set to break the fast. Shortly after midnight (BST), a van plowed into the crowd gathered in front of the mosque, some of whom were trying to assist someone who had been taken ill. That person later died. A number of people who were hit by the van were injured, some seriously, but so far there have been no deaths attributable to the "incident".

Mohammed Kozbar, chairman of the Finsbury Park Mosque, says the van crash was a "cowardly attack" and urged Muslims going to mosques to be vigilant. Harun Khan of the Muslim Council of Britain said a "white man in a van intentionally plowed into a group of worshippers who were already tending to someone who had been taken ill." Then he uttered the inevitable appeal to sympathy for followers of the Prophet: "It appears from eyewitness accounts that the perpetrator was motivated by Islamophobia."

British Prime Minister Theresa May was quick to jump on the bandwagon, condemning the "sickening" attack while lauding the bravery of those who detained the driver. "Hatred and evil of this kind will never succeed," she said, raising the question of what kind of hatred would succeed. Perhaps the attacker should have emulated other terrorists and used a bomb, or at least a gun?

Mrs May said police were on the scene within one minute of the crash, and had declared it a terrorist attack within eight minutes. This statement was apparently meant to addressing criticism from some that authorities were slow to respond to the Manchester massacre and the London bridge attack, and, together with the lamestream media, took too long to describe the "incidents" as the terror attacks which they were. Inspector Knacker of the Yard said the van driver was detained by the crowd until police arrived. Sky News reported that the mosque's imam prevented the crowd from beating the attacker. ​He was arrested and, as the Brits say, is helping police with their enquiries. His name, ethnicity and religion have not yet been released, which makes me wonder if he really is "a white man". Suppose he is a fanatic of another Muslim sect, which would mean... just a thought... that the Muslim civil war is now being fought in Europe as well as the Middle East. You can bet that if he really is a white man -- a Polish Catholic, perhaps -- bent on revenge, as the liberal media are already suggesting, he'd be named right sharpish!

UPDATE: Noooooo... not part of the Muslim civil war, as it turns out, but a "revenge attack". London police have arrested 47-year-old Darren Osborne, a father of four who was living in Cardiff, Wales. He is to be charged with attempted murder and the "commission, preparation or instigation" of terrorism.

The word our "leaders" just won't say

"We have to stop being politically correct and get down to the business of protecting our people!"

Who do you think said that, following yesterday's "incident" of Islamic terrorism in London? (Body count as of this morning: 48 wounded, 7 dead plus 3 Muslim "martyrs" shot by British cops.) Give up? OK, I'll tell you. It was Donald J. Trump, President of the United States of America. It was not:
- Theresa May, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, a very proper English lady who is trying on her Maggie Thatcher impression -- "Enough is enough!", is what she said -- and failing.
- Angela Merkel, the frumpy hausfrau whose discredited Willkommenskultur policy opened Germany's borders to well over a million Muslim "refugees" and asylum-seekers, who are now sucking on the welfare tit while biting the hand that fees them.
- Emmanuel Macron, the newly-elected President of France, a "man" who never held political office and, because he couldn't marry his mother, instead married his school teacher, a lady (thank goodness!) 25 years his senior.
- Justin Trudeau, the King of the Selfies who poses as Prime Minister of Canada, who never met a Muslim he didn't invite to come to Canada and vote for him. M Trudeau and the state-owned CBC thump the multicult drum incessantly, preaching that Canada's diversity is its strength.

Now that President Trump has (according to the lamestream media) abdicated his position as leader of the Western world, Mrs May, Frau Merkel, and Messrs Macron and Trudeau are the only "leaders" we have left. Lord have mercy on us! Now that we so badly need a real man, where is the Churchill, where is the De Gaulle, who will order his government to take all means necessary -- including not just "containment", but deportation, imprisonment and execution -- to rid us of the scourge of Islamic terrorism.

For that's what this weekend's attacks in London (and Kabul) were. Islamic terrorism. "Allahu akbar!" is heard in the streets of a Western capital once again. Although there was no immediate claim of responsibility for the latest attack, ISIS had sent out a call on instant messaging service Telegram early on Saturday, urging its followers to launch attacks with trucks, knives and guns against "Crusaders" during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

The one thing that the four "leaders" named above have in common is that not one of them used the words "Islam", "Islamic" or "Islamist" -- let alone "ISIS" -- in their public shedding of crocodile tears in response to the attacks. Like "cunt" and "piss", "Islam" is a word that the ladies who lead us have decided they just won't say. So the PC police have made it clear that "Islam" is now the I-word, the new N-word, not to be uttered, especially in the same breath as "terrorism" or "terrorists", in any form or any medium. Period.

UK "terror incident" - Guess the missing word!

Here is a selection of headlines from the lamestream media, relating to yesterday's "terror incident" at the estate of the British parliament, in which four people were killed and 20 injured or wounded.

[That's enough headlines. Ed.] Quite right. The point of listing all these is to demonstrate the egregious self-censorship of the lamestream media (including Fox News) in the USA, Canada, and even the UK itself. What the (((controlled))) media don't want to admit in print or in broadcast news, is the fact that the attacker, who has not yet been named publicly, had been investigated by MI5, the UK intelligence service, "in relation to concerns of violent extremism".

Putting it more bluntly than the pussy-footing British PM, they know who he is, and they know he's a Muslim, an Islamic extremist, just as Walt predicted in yesterday's post. But the words "Muslim" and/or "Islamic" appear nowhere, nowhere, in any statements, press releases, or media reports of the "terror incident".

So far today I've seen only one reference to the religion or motivation of the attacker. That was in the Times of London, where the sub-head to the story titled "Seven Arrested in Terror Raids" is "Police swoop in London and Birmingham after Islamist kills three".

You're not being told that the perp is a Muslim for reasons of political correctness. I'll give Fox News credit for running "Hirsi Ali: Islamic Terrorists 'Don't Go to Liberals and Say Thank You' for Being PC". Here's a quote.

Ayaan Hirsi Ali criticized what she considered the "apologetic attitude" some liberals around the world have toward identifying the religious component to Islamic terrorism. Ali, a women rights activist who was raised Muslim in Somalia but later became an apostate, called such a mindset "masochistic and stupid." She said on Tucker Carlson Tonight that radical Islamic terrorists "don't go to liberals and say thank you so much, we'll stop terrorizing you" because of some on the left refuse to identify terrorism's religious component.

That's the problem. If they identify the Islamic terrorist as such, they challenge the liberal orthodoxy that Muslims are really nice people and don't want to kill all non-Muslims and establish their "caliphate" in Europe and America. They don't want to stoke the fires of "Islamophobia", already burning brightly in the USA and western Europe, and now, even in Canada. Speaking of which... the Canadian parliament, by unhappy coincidence, is today debating M-103, a non-binding motion by M.P. Iqra Khalid [an Irish-Canadian? Ed.] condemning Islamophobia and "all forms of systemic racism and religious discrimination". Though largely symbolic, the motion would direct the Commons heritage committee to study the issue and develop strategies to tackle the alleged problem.

Free speech advocates fear that the "strategies" could include measures such as prohibiting the disclosure of a terrorist's identity, ethnicity, religion or "belief system" -- in other words, censorship of the facts of "incidents" such as the attack on Westminster. Many Conservatives have said they cannot support the motion because it does not define Islamophobia, leading some to fear it could stifle free speech and criticism of Islam. Others have argued that the motion provides special treatment to one religion over others.

It appears to me that the self-censorship of the lamestream media makes any "anti-Islamophobia" laws unnecessary. M-103 has the support of the governing Liberals and the pinko NDP, and is expected to pass easily. After all, "terror incidents" may happen in Paris, Brussels and London, but they would never happen in Ottawa... would they? Oh... wait...

FOOTNOTE: The mojo wire is spitting out reports that the Islamic State is claiming responsibility for the Westminster attack. ISIS said through its Aamaq News Agency that the attacker was a soldier of the Islamic State who "carried out the operation in response to calls for targeting citizens of the coalition" of countries fighting IS in Syria and Iraq.

British officials did not release the attacker's identity or confirm a link with the Islamic State group, though British Prime Minister Teresa May, in a statement which takes a WWW award for obfuscation, said it would be wrong to describe the attack as "Islamic" extremism. "It is Islamist terrorism," she said. "It is a perversion of a great faith." Anyone who can figure out the distinction between Islamic extremism and Islamist terrorism is invited to do so in the comments window below. Keep it down to 25 words or less, please.

ANOTHER FOOTNOTE: If the Rt. Hon. Teresa May means that Islam is the "religion of peace" the liberals keep apologizing for, perhaps she can explain why Muslims like Khalid Masood -- now identified as the attacker at Westminster -- keep trying to kill non-Muslims. As for me, I just ask, where's Santiago Matamoros (St. James the Moor-slayer -- see featured post), now that we need him more than ever.

"Allahu akbar!" - Islamic terrorist, cop, 2 others killed at Westminster

Walt is watching the news on the Beeb (and every other website in the world) for the latest news on what the PC lamestream meeja are calling a "terrorist incident" at Westminster, site of the UK parliament, this morning. The body count so far is four dead (including the assailant and a boobie -- as British cops are called) and at least twenty injured. Some incident, eh!

A spokesthingy for London's Metropolitan Police said the dead policeman was one of the armed officers who guard parliament. The other victims were innocent bystanders struck on Westminster Bridge by a speeding SUV driven by the attacker. "We are satisfied at this stage that it looks like there was only one attacker," Inspector Knacker said, "but it would be foolish to be overconfident early on."

The Peelers are being tight-lipped about the identity or motive of the attacker. He has been described on some sites as "Asian", which in British English can mean someone from the Far East, or, more likely, south Asia or some such place. The police and meeja are scrupulously avoiding the use of the words "Islamic" or "Muslim". No witnesses have come forward to say they heard shouts of "Allahu akbar!" But if anyone wants to bet that the perpetrator is not, as in Paris last week, another jihadi, Walt will give you 20 to 1 odds.
