"Thank you for that question..."

Answers on the back of a postage stamp please to Walt Whiteman, c/o Poste Restante, French Lick IN. Or you can send it to any Dimocratic Senator or Congressthingy.

VIDEO à propos of nothing

It is fall. Let us begin the new season with something completely different. "But," Walt hears you ask, "why this?'

My answer is that I know this song, and have known if for over seven decades. Let that inform those who keep asking how old Walt is and why he has the attitudes he does.

Or maybe not. An urgent phone call from Poor Len, who claims he heard it as a Boy Scout in Chibougamou (or someplace like that), prompted Ed. to make a search. He found this version, sung by Rodney Warnaklasuriya.

We therefore thought maybe the first version was an Australian corruptin of a Sinhala song, but a commenter adds this helpful information:

The song "Ging Gang Goolie" is a song popularized by boy scouts since the early days. The lyrics are not from any language, just sung in plain gibberish (edit: found out it is of Scandinavian origin, but still gibberish) so that, as I believe, it would break the language barrier between boy scouts from around the world.

Readers who have different information, or for whom this nonsense song brings back memories, are invited to share same. Click on the headline and the comments window will open up.

Poor Len's second look at the Montréal Canadiens,

Poor Len Canayan reports from the National Sports Desk.

Isn't it the truth I told yez, yesterday. A first-rate first line. Tic-tac-toe. Two goals in the Habs' 4-2 victory over the Phlyers of Philthydelphia. [Don't make me use Spellcheck! Ed.] After that, a brother act to watch, and not much else.

For those who missed it, here are Canada's team's scoring plays:
1) Less than a minute into the first period, Cole Caufield from Lane Hutson and Nick Suzuki. Tic-tac-toe. Beautiful.
2) Florian Xhekaj, his first NHL goal, causing his mom, watching from the stands, to cry tears of joy for Arber's little brother.

Ty Thorpe and Luke Tuch assisted. Both were engaged throughout and deserve a serious look to remain with the big club.
3) Nick Suzuki from Juraj Slafkovský and Cole Caufield. Good on Slafkovský for coming back from a nasty slap to the yap, and showing signs of being ready to start playing seriously before mid-season.
4) Arber Xhekaj, into an empty net in the last minute of play... on the second try!

That's just about all ye need to know, except that Arber Xhekaj is going to wind up as the seventh defenceman unless he can learn to keep his temper under control and pick his spots more carefully. In the third period, with the score 3-1 Habs, he was tripped in the Flyers corner, drawing a penalty. But then, right under the eys of the refugee, he skated up behind the penalized player and gave him a shot in the back, hoping to start a fight. The Phlyer didn't bite.  Result: 2 minutes for the Flyer and 4 minutes for roughint to Xhekaj, and a power play goal for Philly.

Jakub Dobes played goal for les Glorieux for the first half of the game and looked solid. His replacement for the second 30 minutes was the much-travelled Kaapo Kähkönen, a UFA who signed with the Habs from one year in July. About ten seconds after he took his position between the pipes, he got scored on. He looked even worse, on the Flyers' second goal, just a few minutes later.

He redeemed himself (partially) with a good sprawling stop on a breakaway later, but let's just say that he's in no danger of being called on during the regular season unless Sam Montembault, Jakub Dobes and Jacob Fowler all get sick or hurt on the same day Sorry, Kaapo.

Afterthought: Who told Lane Hutson that he's a defenceman? With his speed, skating, stick-handling and playmaking skills, plus a decent shot, and considering his diminutive size, shouldn't he be playing on a forward line? Mind you, he effectively plays a forward's role when he quarterbacks the power play, but still...

Poor Len's first look at the 2025-2026 Montréal Canadiens

Our National Sports (as long as it's hockey) Editor, Poor Len Canayen, was thrilled yesterday to find that RDS is carrying all the Montréal Canadiens pre-season games. Here's how he saw last night's match with the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Thank youse, Hed. For an exhibition game, last  night's contest was good, entertaining hockey, and le bleu, blanc et rouge won 2-1 in a 5-round shootout. That said, one would have thought that the supposedly improved Habs could do better against a Pittsburgh team that rested Crosby, Malkin, Letang and its other top players. The narrow victory doesn't inspire confidence.

Preliminary indications are that the Habs, in spite of strengthening their defensive corps over the summer, remain a team with just one good line. They rested Cole Caufield, Jury Slavkovsky, and captain Nick Suzuki, as well as ace-to-be defenceman Lane Hutson, leaving fans wondering who could be counted on to score.

Answer: no-one. The Habs' goals came Owen Beck and, in the shoot-out, Oliver Kapanen, both of whom played a couple of games with the team last season and failed to impress. Give Beck his due, though. He was 70% at the faceoff dot, had 4 shots, and deserved the first star. He played the kind of game he needed to have a shot at filling the only available (on paper) vacancy on the forward lines.

Another forward with a shot, albeit a long one, is Filip Mesar, who played on Beck's right last night. With Laval last year, he had a disappointing 18 points in 42 games. But he made his presence felt yesterday, showing good puck control and patience, as well as willingness to get into the dirty areas, à la Brendan Gallagher. It was he who began the sequence that led to Beck's third-period goal.

It was nice to see Mesar trying to show some finesse, for he had declared at the rookie training camp that he wanted to show more meanness, and was willing to drop the gloves, although at 5'10" and 184 lbs he's far from the heavyweight class. "We're not looking for a new Chris Nilan," said Coach Martin St-Louis. "You can see he's got good hands and good intelligence. His game has matured, and that's good to see."

And then there was the guy the fans came to see, Ivan Demidov. The problem with him, it says here, is that he needs someone to play with. Last night he was on the right of Jake Evans, not a top centre, with Patrik Laine on the left. I won't riff on Laine for being lazy because in the pre-season one doesn't expect the established players to give their all. Still, he could have done more than take one shot and then go into flotation mode.

It was Demidov who brought the Habs to life in the third period. Tired of waiting for someone to pass the puck to him, he showed that he can keep the puck out of reach of any defender, making moves which decades ago would have been described as "Savardian". He did have a couple of shots but was a bit off-target on one and foiled by the Penguins goalie on the other. No worries about his future with the "A" team. Just please, please put him on a line with a good centre and a mates who like to be part of tic-tac-toe  plays.

And that's it except to say that Jacob Fowler, making his debut between the pipes, looked calm and collected, and pulled off one spectacular save to preserve the tie and force overtime. I could see the coach going with a three-goalie rotation (with Samuel Montembault and Jacub Dobes) for the first 10 or15 games, before deciding which two will be the regular goaltenders. Is it possible to have a Jake as a starter and another Jake as the backup?

Your Singhs today (anti-terrorism edition)

Just two years after his predecessor was gunned down in the Sikh-majority city of Surrey BC, the leader of Sikhs for Justice in Canada was arrested in Oshawa ON this past Friday on a dozen firearms charges. Inderjeet Singh Gosal, 36, seen here exercising his First Amendement rights at the Indian High Commission in Ottawa on September 11th

was charged with crimes including illegal possession and careless use of a prohibited handgun for purposes dangerous to the public peace. Arrested with him were Arman Singh, 23, of Toronto, and Jagdeep Singh, 41, a resident of New York.

Mr Gosal had replaced Hardeep Singh Nijjar as a primary organizer of Sikhs for Justice in Canada, a group that petitions and campaigns for a state they would call "Khalistan", separate from India. Four men allegedly linked to Mr Nijjar's murder are in custody awaiting trial. [What? No bail for them? Ed.]

In a statement, Sikhs for Justice said Mr Gosal’s arrest is "in fact a case about the Canadian government’s duty to protect the life of a Canadian citizen." Mr Gosal told Bloomberg News earlier this month that Canadian authorities had repeatedly warned him his life was at risk, and he declined an offer of witness protection.

Sikhs for Justice is banned in India and Indian media outlets described Gosal as a terrorist. The Liberal government of Canuckistan, which relies heavily on the Sikh vote in Peel Region ON and Surrey region BC -- see WWW passim -- has not designated a terrorist organization in Canada and it asserts its activities are peaceful and legal.

Canada’s national security adviser, Nathalie Drouin, traveled to India and met with her counterpart, Ajit Doval, on Thursday. She said in a statement they discussed their respective security concerns and committed to non-interference including refraining from transnational repression. No-one from any level of government was available for comment on Mr Gosal's arrest. Nor has any answer been given to Walt's question about a possible link between this arrest and the events detailed in "Your Singhs today -- What's going on here?", WWW 4/9/25.

VIDEO: Habs' captain Nick Suzuki gives first interview en français

Ed. here. We welcome back our National Sports (as long as it's hockey) Editor, Poor Len Canayen. His notes on last night's exhibition game between the Montréal Canadien and the Pittsburgh Penguins will be posted later today, but first this salute to Habs captain Nick Suzuki, who on Friday gave his first television interview in French.

There was a time, long ago [Len writes] when giving an interview in la langue de Moliere was no biggie for a captain of les Glorieux, because he would have been a francophone -- native Canadian French speaker. But in the 21st century NHL, the Flying Frenchmen are lucky to have even half a dozen French-Canadian players. I can remember a couple of years back when David Desharnais was voted the fans favourite francophone players, and commented, "Hey, I yam de only one!"

All the same, there is a certain expectation that he who wears the "C" should learn the language, sooner or later. Since being named the youngest captain in franchise history three years ago at age 23, Nick Suzuki has embraced the role, and shown his understanding of the history and character of la Sainte Flannelle. Here's his interview with Félix Séguin of TVA Sports.

Believe it or not, this is the first time a Canadiens captain had been interviewed in French since Vincent Damphousse -- a francophone -- more than 25 years ago. Suzuki is the first English-speaking captain to learn French and do an interview in that language since Bob Gainey, who felt it was his duty to learn French and taught himself.

Fellow Canadiens Hall of Famers Larry Robinson and Ken Dryden also learned French. The Pittsburgh Penguins' Sidney Crosby learned to speak French during his two seasons playing for the QMJHL’s Rimouski Océanic and Suzuki spoke with him about it when the two captains were together recently in Las Vegas for an NHL media event.  “He said he didn’t really have much of a choice when he was playing junior... He said all the bus rides they watched French movies and he'd watch them with the guys."

There are language zealots on both sides of the Two Solitudes and Suzuki will never make everyone happy. But he should be applauded for taking a big first step. Il a gagné ses épaulettes!

VIDEO: Gavin McInnes explains how his Karen ruined Jimmy Kimmel

Language warning! Certain words which are edited out of the YouTube version of the video are spelled out in the text below... for those who couldn't guess without a prompt.

"Show me a man who sucks and I'll show you the bitch who ruined him." So sez Gavin Innes (one of Walt's favourite podcasters) about the now-cancelled Jimmy Kimmel. In case you've been on Mars for the last week or so, Kimmel has been suspended indefinitely by Disney-owned ABC after making inflammatory remarks about the assassination of Charlie Kirk and spreading a BlueAnon hoax that suspect Tyler Robinson was "MAGA", rather than a far-left gay man in a relationship with a furry  transvestite

Gavin McInnes. a founder of the Proud Boys (from which he has dissociated himself) and co-founder of Vice magazine, used to be friends with Jimmy Kimmel. In the wake of the unfunny ABC late-night host's suspension -- long overdue -- Mr McInnes offered this postmortem of Kimmel's career, in which he blames Molly McNearney, his ultra-woke second wife, for Kimmels death spiral into shrill leftism.

"When I knew him, he was a great guy and a very mean guy — like, in a good way, kind of punk," Mr McInnes says on this Get Off My Lawn podcast. "I mean, the Jimmy Kimmel you saw with The Man Show and even before that, he was in sports radio. He used to contribute to Vice all the time. He was a very good cartoonist, believe it or not. And he would do comics for us, and he would do the Do’s and Don’ts with me. And I loved that he was mean… Be an asshole, it’s funny."

Mr McInnes goes on to mention Molly McNearney, who worked her way up the writing staff on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in the mid-2000s and eventually married the alleged funnyman. Mr McInnes calls Ms McNearney, "the only person on his staff that wasn’t totally insane...and she fucked her boss...and they eloped. They got married in 2013. It pays to fuck your boss. I highly recommend it."

Mr McInnes then calls Ms McNearney "an insufferable liberal twat who ruined [Kimmel]… There's pre-Molly and there's post-Molly Jimmy Kimmel, just like Howard Stern. There's pre-Beth [Ostrowky-Stern] and there’s post-Beth Howard Stern. And Jimmy Kimmel and Howard Stern are friends, and then Molly and Beth hang out and they discuss rescuing kittens and reproductive rights of cats…

"When these guys get their trophy wives — and I know Molly doesn’t look like a trophy — they want to get invited to the best dinner parties, and that means you have to please the wives. And what are women’s politics? They’re all woke. So these guys become woke to appease their trophy wife, and then it spills onto the show."

Mr McInnes's main point is that the left is responsible for pushing the cancel culture to which one of their "stars" has now fallen "victim", and needs to feel the pain they have inflicted on others in the current culture wars. "The gloves are off," sez Mr McInnes to the wokesters. "We’re hypocrites. Fuck you. You started this war. You kicked me in the balls, so I'm gouging out your fucking eyes."

To Gavin McInnes, Walt sez, "Lang may yer lum reek!"

Your Singhs today (Caledon ON edition)

It's been a couple of days since we ran a story about criminality in Canada's burgeoning Sikh community. We get at least one tip every day but we don't want to add too exacerbate the sick-of-Sikhness sweeping Ontario and British Columbia, so won't run any more of these this week. Promise.

Five people have been charged after the Ontario Provincial Police, responsible for the Town of Caledon in Ontario's Peel Region, say they fabricated an armed carjacking report in Caledon as part of a fraud scheme.

Inspector Knacker told the meeja the OPP were first contacted in the early hours of September 9th for a reported carjacking in the area of Old School Road and Heritage Road. It was alleged that four suspects, two of whom were armed with handguns, stole the complainant’s vehicle by force and fled the area.

However, police say that detectives ultimately determined the complainant, along with four co-conspirators fabricated the story as part of a fraud scheme.

Five people of a light-brownish complexion have had their collars felt in connection with their investigation. The individuals taken into custody include Apkarn Singh, 22, of Brampton, Lakshay Sharma, 21, of Caledon, Sehajpreet Singh Sandhu, 21, of Caledon, Gurkarn Singh, 21, of Brampton and a 17-year-old from Brampton. The suspects are facing nine combined charges, including fraud over $5000.

The charges have not been tested in court. Until their court date -- sometime next year -- the Singhs are out on bail so they can pursue their regular occupations as truck drivers for Diversity Transport LinesTM.

Who's behind it all? Who pulls the strings?

Image scraped from "No American voted to be replaced by third world savages", on Blazing Cat Fur, 19/9/25.
For any libtards who don't quite see the connection, here's a very simple illustration of a stone truth.

Jimmy Kimmel, honorary mayor of Dildo NL CANCELLED

The summer of 2019 was quiet -- as usual -- in the tiny Newfoundland fishing village of Dildo, until August, when this happened.

On August 2nd, Jimmy Kimmel [Who he? Ed.], the host of a late night talk show called Jimmy Kimmel Live, started his allegedly funny show with a segment called "Canada has been hiding their Dildo". It was a story Newfoundlanders and Labradorians were able to rally behind and laugh about, and Lard Tunderin' Jaysus, dit ever put the province on the map, like never before!

What followed was 13 days of late night television, and years of unheard of tourism success for the region. As many as 4 or 5 (including YVT) showed up almost every day just to take pictures of the sign and send postcards bearing a fancy cancel which Canada Post made up just for the occasion.

Kimmel checked in almost nightly with the people of Dildo, sent security guard and international correspondent Guillermo to help run his campaign and used the Dildo Brewing Company as campaign headquarters.

While Kimmel initially ran for the seat unopposed, rumours of an opponent stirred, none other than Matt Damon. [Who he? Ed.] But Kimmel remained strong in his pursuit of the mayor's chair, holding a press conference on his show.

He stood firm on a "missionary" style of addressing taxation, and pointed to the fact that no one else was running for election. This was more than enough to win over the people of Dildo, The vote on August 15th was anything but close, and Kimmel was named mayor of the local service district in a landslide.

And look at him now, a victim of the cancel cuture which he and all the other Hollywood loonie lefties supported when it was them doing the cancelling. Now the shoe is on the other (i.e. right) foot, and Kimmel is looking for work. FAFO. But cheer up Jimmy. Your fans in Dildo (Sid and Doris Bonkers) will surely welcome you back.... Or maybe not....

Footnote: On his visit a couple of years ago, Walt was pleased to see this sign of support for Ukraine nailed to the front of the Society of United Fisherman hall, just across from the brewery.

Walt [and Ed.! Ed.] send best wishes to all the fine people of Dildo. May Jimmy Kimmel never return, and may bhe wind at your backs always be your own.

Door-to-door chocolate bar scam reported in Niagara Falls ON

A reader from Niagara Falls ON has responded to Ed.'s note appended to "Help Kids Canada - a scam or only half a scam?", reposted here on September 3rd. He writes:

Funny you should mention that! It's been years since I was button-holed at the mall or at my front door by a waif selling chocolate bars, but today I was awakened from my afternoon nap by the insistent (three times!) ring of the door bell.

No, it wasn't the Avon lady, but a young woman -- mid- to late twenties, I'd say -- wearing long pants and a jacket, rather warm for the weather. "Hello, I'm Hanna, from the neighbourhood," she said, with a South American accent. "My sister broke her violin and I'm selling chocolate bars to help her."

She then opened the zipper on a canvas bag to show a couple of dozen of the familiar long chocolate, the same as I remembered seeing before. Still half-asleep, I didn't have the presence of mind to ask to see the product, or ask any questions. I just closed the door in her face. Yeah, I'm rude when you wake me up!

Thinking about it now, I'd give odds that this is the same old scam that's been on the go for years. As Pierre Berton wrote in The Big Sell, they sell the story, not the product, to appeal to good-hearted people who wouldn't refuse to support a charity. Too bad it's not a real charity.

Ed. found this photo (and many like it) on the Net and e-mailed it to our reader who confirms that the chcocalate bars he saw were long and thin, like these.

Your Singhs today (Peel Region edition)

Around 0200 on April Fool's Day, a 22-year-old motorist lost control of his Mazda 3 and smashed into a pole in Mississausage ON, killing his passenger.

Peel Regional Police say the Mazda was travelling north along Erin Mills Parkway when it collided with a silver Jeep which was making a left turn onto Vista Boulevard, about two kilometres south of Britannia Road. Following that collision, the Peelers say, the Mazda careened down the road and collided with a hydro pole.

The driver and a passenger in the Mazda were transported to the hospital with serious injuries where the passenger, a 20-year-old man, died. The driver of the Jeep was not seriously injured.

This weekend -- more than five months after the tragic events -- the cops finally laid charges (dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death; operation while impaired by drugs causing death, and racing a motor vehicle) against... wait for it... Armaan Singh Gill, of Mississauga.

In spite of the DUI charge, the report of the incident published this weekend in the Toronto Sun, is headlined "Speed allegedly a factor in deadly Mississauga crash, motorist charged". The deadly driver simply as "Armaan Gill". No mention is made of his possible connection with the notorious Singh School of Truck Driving.

Note from Ed.: The picture above does not show Armaan Singh Gill. It may not even be a Singh of the Zodiac. 👳😄

Meanwhile, today's Peel Regional Police blotter announces that the last of three men wanted for extortion after homes were shot at in Brampton earlier this summer has been nabbed in Canada's Lalaland on the West Coast.

On July 10th and 11th, the Peelers say, gunshots were fired at residences in the area of Rolling Acres Drive, in the Mississauga Road and Queen Street West area of Brampton. Police released video -- reposted right here on WWW -- of the brazen crime showing one man firing a gun while a second appeared to be filming him on a cellphone. The suspects were seen fleeing in a black Chrysler 300, which was recovered in Winnipeg on July 13th.

On July 27th, Husandeep Singh, 20, of Mississauga, was charged with one count each of extortion and discharge firearm with intent. Canada-wide warrants were issued for two other suspects, and on Aug. 26th, Peel cops arrested Gurpreet Singh, 23, of no fixed address, in Winnipeg. He was charged with two counts of discharge firearm with intent and one count of extortion.

And now (September 12th), they felt the collar of the last suspect, Gurdeep Singh Shergill, 26, of Delta BC, in neighbouring Surrey, which has a population of Sikhs even larger than that of Brampton. He was charged with two counts of discharge firearm with intent and one count of extortion.

All three were held pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton. at which they are expected to be released to resume their vital work in Canada's cross-border transportation industry.

Dr Jordan Peterson & Victor Davis Hanson talk to & about Charlie Kirk

There are times when the world is too much with us, and this weekend was one of those times. The tragic assassination of Charlie Kirk, cut down by a loonie leftist for daring to talk about his beliefs, filled my mind as well as the ether. I needed time to process what I was seeing, hearing and reading.

Rather than add my pitiful two cents worth, I'm reposting two excellent videos which appeared on YouTube. The first, featuring Victor Davis Henson talking about Charlie (I want to remember him as Charlie, not "Mr Kirk") with Hugh Hewitt, appeared on the 11th. The second is an interview with Charlie conducted by Dr Jordan Peterson on 19 March 2025.

The two videos, combined, give you all you need to know about Charlie, who is already being referred to, rightly, as a political, even a religious martyr. RIP. We send a big thank-you to Agent 6, for taking on Ed.'s role and providing us with the URLs.

Charlie Kirk had many friends and admirers, among them Victor Davis Hanson, who joined me today to talk about Charlie, what moved him, and what his assassination could portend for the U.S. Victor’s new book “The End of Everything” is the somber backdrop to yesterday tragedy.

Dr. Jordan B. Peterson engages in conversation with Charlie Kirk -- author, speaker, and founder and CEO of Turning Point USA. They delve into his emergence as a leading voice in the Conservative movement, his choice to bypass traditional higher education, and the early indicators of ideological bias in academia.

The discussion also addresses how the university system has not only tilted toward the hyper-feminine but has transformed into a large-scale scam. Additionally, they examine academia’s departure from timeless questions of good and evil, faith, and foundational philosophy, to a focus on Marxist economics and cultural capture.

In addition to his role at Turning Point USA, Charlie also served as the CEO and founder of Turning Point Action, a related entity operating under a 501(c)(4) status. Turning Point Action’s mission is to embolden the conservative base through grassroots activism and to provide voters with the necessary resources to elect true conservative leaders. Turning Point Action has earned recognition as one of the leading grassroots forces in the country today.

UPDATED: Kirk killer looks normal, for a loonie leftist

"We've got him!", said President Trump first thing this morning. And here he is --Tyler Robinson, a 22-year-old from Utah. That's all we know about him... so far.

This is what we know about what led up to his arrest, at 2200 MDT yesterday, for the brutal public assassination of Charlie Kirk.

Federal investigators and state officials released a series of photos and a video of the person they believe is responsible. They also released new and enhanced photos of a person in a hat, sunglasses, a long-sleeve black shirt and a backpack.

A Mauser .30-06, bolt-action rifle was found in a towel in the woods. A spent cartridge was recovered from the chamber, and three other rounds were loaded in the magazine, according to information circulated among law enforcement and described to The Associated Press.

Unlike the Wall Street Journal (see yesterday's post on WWW) AP, a charter member of the lickspittle media pack, said nothing about any strange markings on the bullets, only that the weapon and ammunition were being analyzed at a federal lab.

Without even hinting that Charlie Kirk is the latest victim of the culture wars, AP says his assassination "offers the latest example of how ordinary security measures can be defeated in an era of escalating political violence, when anyone associated with the political process is a potential target. Security experts interviewed by AP questioned whether the event was sufficiently staffed but also acknowledged the limitations of both campus police forces and outdoor venues."

Are we going to be told any more about the alleged assassination, such as his political and/or sexual preferences? Depends on whether or not that information fits the liberal woke orthodoxy. Stay tuned... but don't hold your breath.

UPDATE added @ 1310 FMT: Surprise, surprise! We're actually hearing more about what was going on inside Mr Robinson's alleged mind.

Utah Gov. Spencer Cox (R) revealed today that bullet casings in the rifle allegedly used by Tyler Robinson to assassinate Charlie Kirk were etched with a variety of messages. He said that investigators noted inscriptions that had been engraved on casing found with the rifle.

Insriptions on a fired casing read: "Notice bulges OwO What’s this?" Inscriptions on the three unfired casings read: "Hey fascist! Catch!” [and then] Up arrow symbol, right arrow symbol, and three down arrow symbols. A second unfired casing read, "O bella ciao, bella ciao, bella ciao ciao ciao," and a third unfired casing read, "If you read this, you are gay, LMAO."

The arrow symbols may have been a video game reference. The phrase “bella ciao” is reportedly associated with left-wing songs, loosely linked to 20th century Italian opponents of fascism. The "Notices bulges" message, according to Know Your Meme, is a reference to gay sexuality associated with the "furry" phenomenon, which refers to attraction to cartoon animals.

Walt sez: Aha! There's the queer element, right there! Stay tuned for more....

UPDATED: Kirk killer a transgendered wacko?

Earlier today Walt reported "police say the shooting is still under investigation and they have no clue (duh!) as to the shooter's identity or motive. Still, it's impossible not to make any connection to politics and the growing wave of societal derangement."

This morning the first evidence of the link emerged, in a report from the Wall Street Journal headed

Ammunition in Kirk Shooting Engraved With Transgender, Antifascist Ideology: Sources

Walt was only able to get partway through the WSJ paywall. Here's what it says.

Investigators found ammunition engraved with expressions of transgender and antifascist ideology inside the rifle that authorities believe was used in the fatal shooting of Charlie Kirk, according to an internal law-enforcement bulletin and a person familiar with the investigation.

The older-model .30 caliber hunting rifle was discovered in the woods near the scene of Wednesday’s shooting at Utah Valley University, wrapped in a towel with a spent cartridge still in the chamber, the sources said. There were also three unspent rounds in the magazine, all with wording on them.

Let's see how the queer-loving loonie leftists get out of this one!

UPDATE added 12/9/25 @ 0618 FMT: The answer to the paragraph about is to be found in "CNN Describes Trans, Antifa Phrases On Charlie Kirk Assassin’s Weapons As ‘Related To Cultural Issues’", on The Federalist

Meanwhile, President Trump has taken to TV early this morning to announce "We have him!" Details are expected before noon. Stay tuned!

Charlie Kirk, RIP

In April, conservative activist Charlie Kirk, posted, "Assassination culture is spreading on the left." Sadly, that proved to be prophetic, as an assassin took Charlie's life yesterday while he was speaking at Utah Valley University. He was only  31 years old.

Charlie Kirk's time as a Republican influencer in the new right was much too brief. Kirk founded Turning Point USA when he was just 18 years old and spent his media career making the argument for conservatism in a generally hostile media ecosystem.

That’s what he was doing Wednesday afternoon when he was fatally shot in the neck. In the moment before the loud snap of a gun could be heard and a gushing injury appeared on his neck, he finished a sentence about "violence".

So far two suspects have been arrested and then released. As is customary these days, police say the shooting is still under investigation and they have no clue (duh!) as to the shooter's identity or motive.

Still, it's impossible not to make any connection to politics and the growing wave of societal derangement. Mr Kirk was one of the American right's top conservative influencers. Now, after years of the progressive left preaching about revolution, about words being violence and about President Donald Trump being the second coming of Hitler, he's been "cancelled". RIP.

Charlie Kirk was reviled by the left not just because he was a Trump supporter, but also because he was so effective. He founded a media organization that, along with a handful of others on the right, played a key role in shattering the monopoly of ideas held by the left-leaning mainstream media.

But he famous mostly for his debate-style "Prove me wrong!" videos, in which he sat with a microphone, listening to a long diatribe from a progressive audience member attempting to prove him wrong, and afterwards replying with a firehose of counterpoints. His style was sharp and humorous. It was a golden formula for engagement on Youtube, and no doubt an outlet for closeted young conservatives and disillusioned liberals who rarely get to see these beliefs expressed in the wild.

Charlie Kirk was a Christian*, a firm believer in the gospel of Jesus Christ. Just last week, he quoted Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit." A few days ago, he posted, "Jesus defeated death so you can live." Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.

* On his vlog Return to Tradition, Anthony Stine reveals that, shortly before his death, Charlie Kirk and his wife began attending Holy Mass once or twice a month at St. Bernardette's Catholic Church in Scottsdale AZ, and was very close to coming into the Church.

How to order a Quarter-Pounder in London

Walt presumes the reference is to London, England, not the one in Ontario, although Agent 3 says don't be too sure of that.

ICYMI, Septemer 6th was International Vulture Awareness Day

Walt was unaware of this celebratory occasion, since we receive only sporadically reports from Darkest Africa, where this story originated. Anyway... International Vulture Awareness Day (IVAD) is a campaign aimed at raising awareness about vultures and their critical role in maintaining balance within the ecosystem.

Vultures provide a vital service by clearing carcasses from the environment, which helps reduce the spread of diseases  Here we see two vultures picking the bones of a dead donkey, once known as the Democratic Party.

According to Benhilda Antonio, a spokesrthingy for BirdLife Zimbabwe, "IVAD is an opportunity to recognise and celebrate nature’s clean-up crew. Without vultures, our environment would be plagued by rotting carcasses, posing a significant risk to human and animal health."

Vultures' stomachs have a pH level that allows them to feed on meat with diseases like rabies and anthrax without getting affected. They can finish a donkey (or other) carcass in a few days due to their feeding frenzies, making them an essential component of ecosystem balance.  However, they are facing numerous threats, including poisoning, electrocution and collision with powerlines.

Poisoning is a major concern, with intentional poisoning by poachers being a significant threat. Unintentional poisoning also occurs when people poison carcasses to target carnivores that attack their livestock, and vultures end up feeding on the poisoned carcasses.

The illegal trade of vultures and their body parts is also a significant threat. According to Josephine Maringa from the Department of Forest Resources and Wildlife Management at the National University of Science and Technology, "the illegal trade of vultures is driven by belief-based use, with many people believing that vultures have supernatural powers." This has led to the harvest and use of vultures and their body parts without permits, posing a significant threat to vulture populations in Africa.

To contribute to vulture conservation, Ms Antonio emphasises that it is crucial for people to take action. Reporting poisoning cases to relevant authorities is a critical step in preventing further deaths. Additionally, stopping retaliatory killings of carnivores that attack livestock can help reduce the risk of unintentional poisoning.

People can also play a role by reporting any vulture nests seen in their area and refraining from destroying nests or taking eggs. "Every effort counts," she said, "and collective action can make a significant difference in the long-term survival of vultures."

VIDEO: Michael Matt asks who's behind the gay invasion of St. Peter's

In our last post yesterday we promised to repost the latest Remnant TV video by Michael Matt, editor of The Remnant newspaper, on the topic of last weekend's gay invasion of St. Peter's Basilica.

This is a shortened version of the Remnant Underground video posted on Remnant TV, focusing on Mr Matt's commentary of the abomination of desolation in the holy place, in the holy year, and in the Holy See, as 1300 proud gay and lesbian "Catholics" are welcomed (by whom?) into the Basilica for a Jubilee Year celebration of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Even Fox News Channel covered The Remnant’s report from Rome on the most horrific scandal since Pachamama. But what does it mean? Is Pope Leo onboard, or are we looking at yet another pope who will flee for fear of the wolves?  Watch, listen and think!

The Big Question posed by Mr Matt is this: Would Father Robert Prevost -- the man who became Pope Leo XIV -- approve? Where is Father Prevost now? Where is the Father Prevost who said the media is trying to shame the Catholic Church for her strong stand on abortion and homosexual unions? Is the pope we are seeing now the real man, or the creation of the Mauve Mafia? And if Father Prevost has really become Francis II, what shall we traditional Catholics do? Mr Matt gives the answer.

Probably just a coincidence

In the wake of the shooting at the Annunciation Catholic Church School in Minneapolis on Wednesday, we’re confronted with an uncomfortable but inevitable question: Is there some sort of correlation between transgenderism and mass school shootings?

This is, after all, the second time a transgender shooter has claimed lives at a Christian institution in about two years. This time, Robin Westman — born Robert — killed two and injured 17 more before killing himself. In 2023, in the Covenant School shooting, Audrey Elizabeth Hale — who identified as Aiden Hale — killed six and injured two.

Source: The Western Journal, 30/8/25. Thanks and h/t to Blazing Cat Fur.

What the WJ article does not mention is that both schools were faith-based schools, Catholic and evangelical Protestant respectively. The shootings may represent, in the minds of the queer shooters, revenge on churches which still consider homosexuality and related woke queerness, a sin which cries out to heaven for vengeance.

Michael Matt, editor of The Remnant newspaper, has more to say about this in his latest video on this weekend's gay invasion of St. Peter's, which we'll repost here tomorrow.

UPDATED: Chicago to find out why it's now called the War Department

On NBC's Meet the Press this morning, Host Kristen Welker said, "President Trump shared this on his social media account directed at Chicago, 'I love the smell of deportations in the morning and Chicago about to find out why it is called the Department of War.' Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker called it a threat. Would you call it a threat?"

Maryland Governor Wes Moore (Democrat), to whom the question was directed, called the President's social media post a “threat” that was both "embarrassing and performative." Readers are invited to suggest who might have been embarrassed by what we would call a promise... and who will be embarrassed when Chicago goes a whole weekend without anyone getting killed by gunfire!

UPDATE added 8/9/25: According to Breitbart News, the toll of those shot and killed/wounded this weekend in Chicago is 19 shot, 7 killed, in the city that its mayor, Brandon Johnson ["You doesn't have to call me Johnson!" Ed.] and Illinois governor J.B. Pritzker don't think needs any help with its little problem.

VIDEO: Tribute to Ken Dryden, RIP

Further to Poor Len Canayen's commentary, posted earlier today... From his iconic stance to his lightning-fast reflexes, the Montréal Canadiens' Ken Dryden's unique goaltending technique stunned the greatest hockey players and revolutionized the best game of all. Our good friends at Blazing Cat Fur have found and reposted this excellent video showing the historic moment that changed hockey forever.

Ken Dryden, Canadiens' legend, RIP

Ed. here. It is less than a month until the opening of the National Hockey League's 2025-26 hockey season. We expect Poor Len Canayen's preview about two weeks from now, but have had to call on him today in the sad circumstances which he will now relate. Over to you, Len.

Tank youse, Hed. It is my sad duty to report to fans of the world's best sport, and the Montréal Canadiens in particular, that Ken Dryden, one of the best goaltenders of all time has died, after a long battle with cancer, at the age of 78.

Ken burst on the scene late in the 1970-71 season, when the Canadiens called him up from their Halifax AHL affiliate to lead the underdog Habs to one of the greatest upsets in hockey history. Phil Esposito and Bobby Orr led the Boston Bruins that year to one of the best regular seasons in NHL history but Montreal took them out in a seven-game semi-final series.

He won the Conn Smythe trophy as MVP after les Glorieux beat Chicago in the final in seven games. He went on to win the Calder Cup as rookie of the year in the following season, and six Stanley Cups in his eight seasons with Montréal.

He and Tony Esposito backstopped Canada to that improbable win over the Soviet national team in 1972. He said after the series that during the eighth and final game, in which Canada trailed 5-3 before coming back to win, he feared waking up the next day and being the most hated man in Canada.

After hanging up his skates, Dryden went on to practise law before being elected to the Canadian House of Commons as Member of Parliament for the Toronto riding of York Centre.an MP. He was also, briefly, President of the Toronto Maple Leafs, but his heart was always in Montréal.

In 1983 he authored The Game, widely acknowledged as the best hockey book ever written. The Game is a reflective and thought-provoking look at a life in hockey, capturing the essence of the sport and what it means to all hockey fans. Dryden gives us vivid and affectionate portraits of the characters --Guy Lafleur, Larry Robinson, Guy Lapointe, Serge Savard, and coach Scotty Bowman among them --that made the 1970s Habs one of the greatest hockey teams in history.

The Montreal Gazette’s Red Fisher, called the Hall of Famer "one of the truly great goaltenders in Canadiens history." On wishing Ken Dryden a happy 65th birthday, Mr Fisher wrote, "Dryden, a winner of 258 of his 397 regular-season games (2.24 goals-against average) and 112 playoff games (80 victories) who started his NHL career with a 5-1 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins in 1971. And who can forget that after playing in only six regular-season games, Dryden was GM Sam Pollock’s stunning choice over Rogie Vachon to start in the playoffs against the heavily favoured Boston Bruins.

"Dryden didn’t merely contribute to this team winning the Stanley Cup that year – in seven games against the Bruins, in six against Minnesota and in a seven-game final against the Chicago Blackhawks. They would not have won it without him in a string of postseason performances for the ages – with the Canadiens winning all of the series-deciding games on the road.

"There are so many reasons why he was a member of six Stanley Cup teams in eight seasons. He had the size. He had the hockey sense. He had the passion. So many reasons why he was so special, not the least of which was – and is – his massive intellect.

"You don’t lead your team to the Stanley Cup and win the Conn Smythe Trophy after only six regular-season games unless the goaltender is your most valuable player. This team was blessed with a number of great stars, but throughout his brief career he was my MVP. And make no mistake about it: he was also the players’ most valuable player. They, better than anyone else, understood what he was made of and what he meant to the team."

A glowing tribute indeed, and well-deserved. Comparing himself to Carey Price, a guaranteed first-ballot Hall of Famer, Ken Dryden said he (Dryden) was a good goaltender who was fortunate to have an excellent team in front of  him, whereas Price was an excellent goaltender playing behind a good team.

It is noteworthy, that through good times and tough times, winning and losing, la Sainte Flannelle has resisted the temptation to employ foreign goaltenders. All their greats have been Canadians, and many of those canadiens. One thinks of Patrick Roy, Jacques Plante, and, of course, Georges Vézina, who started their tradition of excellence. One hopes that Ken Dryden will smile down on young Samuel Montembault as he carries the torch passesd to him.

On Labour Day weekend at Queenston Heights, this happend

Queenston Heights, located in Niagara-on-the-Lake ON, is known to pure laine Canadians (American's don't like to talk about it) as the site of the defeat by British soldiers and Canadian patriots (including Indians First Nations) of American invaders at the start of the War of 1812. A tower honouring General Sir Isaac Brock, who led the counter-attack, dominates the land scape.

What better setting, then, for a public rally -- not a "mostly peaceful protest" but a totally peaceful show of strength -- by Second Sons Canada, one of many white nationalist groups emerging in the Great No-longer-white North in response to the plans of the Liberal governments of Blackie McBlackface and his successor Marx Carnage to make Canada over into a veritable Canuckistan.

More than 50 men, many wearing sunglasses echoing the outfits of the Patriot Front, one of the largest white nationalist groups in the United States, lined up at the Brock monument chanting the group’s slogan, "All thy sons."

The public gathering was the first known by the group in Niagara, though a report by CBC' visual investigations team in July into white nationalist "active clubs" found the group was present in the area and had training in a gym in Welland ON.

Second Sons Canada's first known sighting was reported by the Canadian Anti-Hate Network (known haters of all things and people who resist the Great Replacement) after the group gathered at a cenotaph for Canadian soldiers in Dartmouth NS in March.

Prof. Kawser Ahmed, an obviously unbiased professor of political science at the University of Winnipeg, said choosing the Brock monument was symbolic. He said the site has symbolism of British imperialism, settler nationalism and military defence. "This is something very common in white supremacist groups throughout the Western world, Europe, the US, Australia and here. This is the symbolism they often pick up, because they think that these countries were founded by Anglo-Saxons and there’s no place for the immigrants to come here."

Indeed. One video showing scenes from the Niagara rally was posted on Second Sons Canada’s X site, formerly Twitter, with the statement, "Canadian Nationalism is inevitable. Remigration is coming." Many Canadians will share their sympathies. What to do next should be obvious.

Thanks and a tip o' the touque to Agent 3 for the lead.

Answer to "Test your English comprehension" (31/8/25)

Looks like all our readers are clever, and managed to figure the puzzle out on their own. Either that or some are too shy to tell Walt they couldn't get it.
OK, here's a clue. This * is an asterisk. Read the verse out loud. Geddit now?

VIDEO: Minnesota school shooting "not a tragedy": Victor Davis Hanson

More commentary on the murder of two innocent school children -- now rightly called "Christian martyrs", according to Dr Taylor Marshall -- by an evil transgender person. Victor Davis Hanson explains why it's wrong to call this a "tragedy", or to sweep under the DEI carpet the facts of Robin/Robert Westman's disordered life. Only 10 minutes, and we do need to talk and think about these things.

Your Singhs today - What's going on here?

For over two years now, a bunch o' the boys have been gathering on Tower Road near MacTier, in Georgian Bay Township, in the heart of Ontario's cottage country, for a little target practice. Here are some pictures, screen grabs from a video which has been lighting up the Internet for some time now.

For just about as long, residents of the area, including members of the local snowmobile club, have been complaining to the OPP (Ontario Provincial Police) abour "reckless shooters" on their turf.  The MacTier shooters, they say, have shown up every weekend this summer and left behind thousands of bullet holes and spent shell casings. "They think our laws don’t apply to them," one snowmobile club member told the Toronto Sun.

For some reason, the OPP did diddly until Ontario Premier Doug Ford, having seen the videos -- including one posted on the shooters' own social media -- told inquisitive reporters last Thursday, "I am confident the OPP will catch these guys." Et voilà, as surely as day follows night, the coppers announced today the arrest, over the weekend of a a 24-year-old Brampton man named... wait for it... Gurkanwal Singh.

We don't know if he's the one in the turban, or one of the other bearded gentlemen. The OPP say the investigation is ongoing, but so far Gurkanwal is the only one charged facing charges -- two counts of careless use of a firearm. No information about Mr Singh's nationality or immigration status was released, nor was there any mention of his occupation, although he is thought to be a graduate of the infamous Singh School of Truck Driving.

We also don't know -- and this is the important part -- exactly what it was that the Messrs Singh were shooting at or trying to do. Could it have been a rehearsal for the battle to free Khalistan? Or merely instruction in what to do if surrounded by rival gangs of tow-truck operators or border security agents. See "Your Singhs today (US-Canada border edition)", WWW 3/9/25.

Georgian Bay Township Mayor Peter Koetsier was among the many who voiceed concern over whatever the hell they're doing. "The careless discharge of firearms in populated or shared spaces creates unacceptable risk to residents and visitors, We urge the public to report unsafe behaviour before someone gets seriously hurt."

Tell us, Mister Mayor, what you expect the provincial or federal governments to do? Start rounding up the hundreds of thousands of Sikhs now residing (legally or otherwise) in Canada? Send them all back to the Punjab? Oh my no! That would be racist, wouldn't it...

Help Kids Canada - a scam or only half a scam?

NOTE FROM ED., added 3/9/25. More than 15 years after it was posted, this remains one of Walt's most-read posts, so we're adding this note and reposting it now.

We assume this scam is still being played, as "Help Kids Canada" or "Kare for Kids", somewhere in Canada or possibly the US of A. If  any reader can give us some details or link to a news report or other source, we would really appreciate it. Click on the headline to open the comments box, and leave your tip there. Thank you!

Agent 3 complains of being roused from his Saturday siesta by a knock at the door from a teenage boy who said he was "from Help Kids Canada". He was peddling chocolate bars (since the Girl Scouts have the monopoly on cookies) and suggested that Agent 3 was a bad bastard for not supporting this worthy charity.

Agent 3, being something of a cynic [When he's cooking, is he a kitchen cynic? ed.] asked the boy if he could prove that Help Kids Canada is in fact a registered charity. The boy appealed to his "supervisor", who just happened to be driving by in a white van, who said yes, it is so, and here's the registration number for all who want proof.

Now munching on his chocolate bar, Agent 3 asks Walt if this is true, and why a reputable charity would be selling candy bars door to door. Here is what Walt found out.

Help Kids Canada is a registered charity. Where the kid and his supervisor lie is when they say that they represent or work for HKC. They do not. Here's the truth of the relationship between the chocolate sellers and the charity, according to the latter's website as it existed in July of 2010, when Walt's report was first published.

The supervisors and the kids who are selling chocolates are not employed by our organization.Their connection to our charity is that they support our organization by donating the net proceeds from the chocolate sales to Help Kids Canada. By "net proceeds" we mean what is left after the cost of chocolates and the cost of distribution, including the cost of transportation, personal expenses and payments to the kids, are deducted from their gross proceeds.

So there you have it. Those poor scrawny kids who knock at your door are being paid, but the people really making the money are their supervisors. (Agent 3 says the gal in the van was absolutely porcine.) It's very much a for-profit business. If there happens to be anything left, they give a little to the charity, and get a tax receipt for so doing.

It's a nice cozy arrangement for all concerned...except Agent 3 and others who get conned into paying a high price for a rather mediocre chocolate bar, all because they thought they were helping some poor kids.

VIDEO: Graham Greene, RIP

Walt notes with sadness the passing of Graham Greene, the actor who gained fame (and an Academy Award nomination) for his performance as real-life Lakota Sioux medicine man Kicking Bird (Ziŋtká Nagwáka) in Dances With Wolves.

It was a natural role for Mr. Greene who was not a Pretendian, but a real Indian, and I don't think he would mind us using that term, rather than the politically correct "First Nations".

He was born in 1952 on the Six Nations Reserve at Oshweken ON. He fell into acting while working as a recording engineer, after a friend persuaded him to read his script. He started on stage, performing in Canadian and English productions in the 1970s, before making his screen debut in 1979 in an episode of the Canadian drama The Great Detective. His first film role was in the 1983 biopic Running Brave

After Dances With Wolves (1980), Mr. Greene's Hollywood career included roles in Thunderheart (1992), Maverick (1994), Die Hard with a Vengeance (1995), The Green Mile (1999) and The Twilight Saga: New Moon (2009).

Most of our readers will remember at least two of those, but not as many will remember him (as we do) for his occasional appearances on The Red Green Show in the role of Edgar K.B. Montrose, the explosives expert. Here's a clip -- you'll have to click on the YouTube link to see it -- which is perfect for this little tribute. In it, Edgar Montrose gives his explosive opinions on Hollywood movies, from The Bridge On The River Kwai to Speed. The inside joke is his reference to Dances with Wolves.

Geddit now? That's Steve Smith, aka Red Green, in the middle, with his nephew Harold, played by Patrick McKenna, on Red's right.  After a long illness, Graham Greene died yesterday in hospital in Stratford ON, at age 73. RIP.

Your Singhs today (US-Canada border edition)

Today's Singh-along features another chapter of the all-too-familiar tale of Sikhs... well, just one, this time... involved in smuggling drugs across the World's Longest Undefended Border (TM)

The Canadian Border Services Agency (the equivalent of the US CBP) officers are hooking their thumbs under their suspenders today for having derailed a whopping $42 million beaverbucks worth of cocaine flooding into Canuckistan in two separate busts in August.

The seizures occurred one day apart at the Blue Water Bridge port of entry in Point Edward, near Sarnia, in early August. On the 13th of August, a commercial truck belonging to Diversity Truck Lines* [Ed., please check this] arriving from the US of A was referred for a secondary examination.

During the trailer inspection, CBSA officers discovered suspected cocaine hidden in six boxes. The total weight of the narcotics was 150 kilos, with an estimated street value of $18.8 million ($13.6 million in real money). Gurjeet Singh, 28, of... wait for it... Brampton ON, was arrested and transferred along with the narcotics to the custody of the RCMP.

The next day, border officers referred another tractor-trailer entering from the US for a secondary examination. Officers found 199 kilos of suspected cocaine in the trailer of the commercial load, with an estimated value of $24.9 million. Abdikadir Egal, 38, of Etobicoke, was transferred along with the drugs to the RCMP. To judge by his name, Mr Egal is not a Sikh, but a Somali -- a "refugee", no doubt. recruited by the usual suspects from the Singh School of Truck Driving.

Both men have been charged by the Mounties with importation of cocaine and possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking under the controlled drugs and substances act. The investigations are ongoing, as they say.

Canuckistan's Minister of Public Safety, Gary Anandasangaree (no relation) was quick to issue a statement which he hopes will be read by President Trump, as follows: "These recent seizures of illegal narcotics underscore the vital partnership between the CBSA and the RCMP in protecting Canada’s borders. I have visited the Blue Water Bridge and seen up close the unwavering commitment and diligence from the CBSA and RCMP, and their respective leadership in stopping the entry of illegal substances and goods into Canada. Their work makes all of us safer."

Walt says, hold your applause. There's lots more drugs and smugglers of which we'll Singh in due course.

* Thanks to BCF for identifying the trucking company. and to DM, a commenter on BCF, for the info on Mr Egal's nationality. Most Somalis are Muslim, by the way. How's that for the diversity that makes Canada what it is.

VIDEO: "Allahu akbar!" in Marseille

We have an interesting example today of the cognitive dissonance between what we see with our eyes and what the mainstream media -- woke or (as we used to say) politically correct that they are -- tell us. First let's see the video.

Now here's the story, as reported by virtually all the major Western media.

A man who went on a stabbing rampage in the southern French city of Marseille injured at least five people before he was shot dead by police, authorities said.

Local prosecutor Nicolas Bessone said that the attack was carried out on Tuesday afternoon by a Tunisian national with legal residency status. Bessone said that the suspect had been expelled from his hotel for not paying his rent. He returned armed with two knives and a baton, first attacking someone in the room he had previously occupied. He then attacked the hotel manager before turning on the manager’s son and stabbing him in the back.

One of the victims stabbed at the hotel was in a critical condition and the other two were also seriously wounded. Customers chased him away from the restaurant on Cours Belsunce, a few minutes' walk from the Old Port. Police then arrived at the scene where they opened fire with a taser and guns.

The prosecutor added that the man, who he described as a Tunisian national who was legally resident in France but known to police, continued his rampage in a nearby snack bar and in the streets, trying to injure people at random, before he was "neutralised" by police. He said the investigation was in its early stages and that the motive of the assailant was not known.

And that's all we're told. The perp isn't named but your dollar will get five of Walt's if he's not a "Mohammed". He's legally resident in France, they say, but how he came to France is not disclosed? Is he a "refugee" or asylum-seeker from peaceful Tunisia?

And what about his religion? If he's not "Mohammed" by name, he is certainly Mohammedan -- a follower of the Prophet, a Muslim -- by religion. This is relevant because, according to a hard right news source, the "religious and incoherent things" mentioned in the video caption included... wait for it... "Allahu akbar!"

Of course it wouldn't do for the lickspittle media to say that. Mustn't stoke the fires of Islamophobia. But guess what? The common people of France (and all the other countries overrun by the Islamic hordes) have already figured it out. The only problem is that the common people have no control over the liberal governments who protect and coddle the terrorists they have allowed into our countries.

Meme of the month (so far)

Not only do they exist, they're allowed to drive cars [and big rigs! Ed.] and even to vote.
