VIDEO: Voice of the people: "Get the f*ck out of my country!"

The Arab community in Dearborn MI has grown since the early 20th century, with waves of immigration from countries like Lebanon, Yemen, and Iraq, initially driven by jobs at Ford Motor Company. Now Dearborn has the largest Muslim population per capita in the United States.

In 2023, Dearborn became the first American city with a majority-Arab population, with about 55% of residents claiming Middle Eastern or North African ancestry. This once-white community features the largest mosque in North America and numerous Arab and Muslim organizations. 

Here's what Jake Lang, one of the few remaining white American residents, told the Dearborn Council on November 18th.

"You make all of our country look like the places that you fled from. We don’t want you here. Respectfully, get the fuck out of my country!" Well said, that man!

AUDIO ONLY: Mark Steyn, Lindsay Shepherd, John Robson heard by Canadian MPs; TV blacked out

I need to set this up for you and explain why there's no video -- only audio -- of most of yesterday's meeting of the Canadian House of Commons Committee on Justice and Human Rights. It appears that in Canuckistan, "human rights" does not include the right to say anything even mildly negative about Muslims or transexuals or anyone except straight white males. Nor does it include the right to have your testimony before a committee of parliament televised if, like our old friend Mark Steyn, you're a conservative who's expected to say something politically incorrect.

The background. The Committee has been holding hearings on the problem of "hate speech". In other words, they're study how to better censor the ideas and opinions of anyone the government doesn't agree with. Last week they gave Faisal Khan Suri, president of the Alberta Muslim Public Affairs Council, considerable time to whine about Islamophobic posts on social media, discrimination against followers of the "religion of peace", and so on ad nauseam.

After enduring a quarter-hour of this, Conservative MP Michael Cooper had had enough and took the witness to task, telling Mr Suri he should be ashamed of himself, and quoting (as he said later) "the words of a white supremacist anti-Muslim mass murderer in an ill-advised attempt to demonstrate that such acts are not linked to conservatism." The whitey in question was Brandon Tarrant, who murdered 50 Muslims in Christchurch, New Zealand, this spring.

Mentioning Mr Tarrant by name, let alone quoting from his online manifesto, proved to be a hyuge CLM (Career Limiting Move) for Mr Cooper. For his sins, he was immediately removed tom the Committee by Hon. Andrew Scheer, Leader of Her Majesty's Loyal Opposition, and chief panderer of the Kuckservative Party of Canada. Clutching his pearls, the champion of the mushy middle said it was "insensitive and unacceptable" to quote the Christchurch shooter to a Muslim witness. Oh, the horror!

But the removal of Mr Cooper from the Committee wasn't enough for the Liberal and NDP (socialist) members. Yesterday, before more witnesses were called, they demanded that Hansard be amended to remove Mr Cooper's words, entirely, from the record of the proceedings. Flushed down the memory hole, as George Orwell would have said. The remaining Conservatives on the Committee, doubtless admonished by Mr Scheer not to be politically incorrect, caved.

Yesterday's meeting was to have been televised, so the viewers (Sid and Doris Bonkers) who follow Canada's CPAC channel could see and hear what Mark Steyn, Lindsay Shepherd and John Robson had to say on the subject of free speech. Click here to see what happened.

Sorry about using the word "see". You will only be able to see the first couple of minutes. After the Committee voted to expunge Mr Cooper's remarks from the record, a pinko -- sorry, NDP -- member demanded that the proceedings not be televised, after all. You can see and hear this shameful exercise in what progressives now call "deplatforming". After that, there's only audio. Shameful. But at least the voices of conservatism and common sense can still be heard. But for how much longer?

"Anti-Muslim hate crime" hoax embarrasses Canuck Liberals

The Canadian (and even international) media were full of outrage and virtue-signalling over the weekend over a terrible, terrible hate crime reported to have occurred in Toronto on Friday. 11-year-old Khawlah Noman was walking to school with her 10-year-old brother, Mohammed Zakariyya, on Friday morning, when she felt somebody pull down the hood of her winter jacket down. She told police the attacker smiled at her and then attempted to cut her hijab, from the bottom up, using a pair of scissors with a blue handle. He did this not once, but twice, she said, over the course of some ten minutes.

Recounting the traumatic incident in great detail, she told reporters "I felt really scared and confused. I didn’t feel comfortable about what was going on." Miss Noman got a good look at the attacker, who she described as a young Asian male, roughly 5'8" to 6', wearing black pants, a black hoodie and brown gloves. He had a moustache, the girl told police, and glasses too.

When the girl screamed, the attacker ran away. She and her brother rushed to join a group of children walking nearby, but got separated at a traffic signal. The brother didn't make the light in time to cross safely, so his Miss Noman waited for him while the group moved on. Mohammed said he watched as his sister's attacker approached her a second time, scissors in hand. What happened next is unclear, but when the kids got to school, they discovered that the bottom of Khawlah's hijab had been cut.

Speaking to reporter's, Miss Noman's mother, Samia Samad, [How come they all have different surnames? Ed.] said the incident was deeply upsetting for the children. "I don’t know why he did that," the mother said. "It’s just not Canada. I'm frustrated and I'm angry, but I do believe in peace in Canada. I am so proud to be a Canadian, and I want to give [the attacker] the same message."

Miss Noman echoed the message. While holding back tears, she said, "What you’re doing is very wrong. You should stop doing this. I'm a kid."

The chattering classes (particularly the professionals in the diversity industry) were quick to boo-hoo to anyone who would listen, particularly the liberal "reporters" at the CBC and the Toronto Red Star. And Canada's Liberal politicians, knowing a good story to promote their pro-Muslim, pro-diversity agenda, were even quicker to express their shock and horror. The Liberal Prime Minister, the proudly lesbian ["Liberal", shurely! Ed.] Premier of Ontario, and the Mayor of Toronto (not a card-carrying Liberal but a liberal all the same) condemned the attack as a shameful example Islamophobia and racism. Here are their officious ["official", shurely! Ed.] statements.

Who could argue with those sentiments? No right-thinking -- make that "LEFT-thinking" -- Canadian, that's for sure. And even if someone thought the reaction was a bit over the top, or dared to doubt the veracity of Miss Noman's horror story, Canada's notorious M-103 would likely have silenced them. (CBC censors, please take note!) But guess what? Toronto Police said today they have concluded that the incident "did not happen."

There has been no suggestion that Miss Noman and/or her family will be punished in any way for wasting Inspector Knacker's time with a false report. No-one has apologized or even expressed embarrassment for the hair-on-fire coverage the hoax -- for that's what it was -- received in the (((controlled media))).

From the Pink Palace at Queen's Park, Premier Wynne said "I'd like to thank the Toronto Police Service for their work in this matter, and I join all Ontarians in being thankful and relieved that this assault did not take place." What she didn't add, but was understood to mean, was that, although it didn't happen, it could have happened, because, as everyone knows, old-stock Canadians are hard-wired to be haters.

Conclusion: One sad outcome of this story is that decent, fair-minded Canadians whose hearts went out to this girl may look at the next such attack with suspicion. And that one could be real. The family, the police and the school board owe us an explanation. And Khawlah Noman and her family owe Canada an apology.

"The genie is out of the bottle!" - results of the Dutch election

The lamestream media and "forces of progressivism" are positively rapturous over the results of yesterday's parliamentary elections in the Netherlands -- a country in which the outside world took little interest until Geert Wilders, leader of the Free Party (PVV), unveiled his party's anti-immigrant, anti-Muslim platform. The liberals hollered "Islamophobia" long and loud, demonizing Mr Wilders as the "Dutch Trump" and even as the "New Hitler". If he wins, they said (looking nervously over their shoulders), predicting the outbreak of racial and religious war in Europe (as if that hasn't happened already) and the breakup of the European Union.

Well, Mr Wilders and the PVV did not win. With 97% of votes counted, Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte and his VVD party were re-elected, winning 33 out of 150 seats, a loss of eight seats from the previous parliament. Mr Wilders' Freedom party was in second place on 20 seats, a gain of five. The centrist Christian Democrats (CDA) and the liberal D66 party followed with 19 seats each, and the Green Party gained ten for a total of 14 seats.

Prime Minister Rutte exulted that the Dutch people rejected what he called "the wrong kind of populism". "The Netherlands said 'Whoa!'", he declared. Absent from his self-congratulation was any reference to the fact that, for much of the campaign, he appeared to be racing to keep pace with Mr Wilders, and moved his party's position on immigration and the integration of "newcomers" considerably to the right to meet Mr Wilder's challenge.

Nor did Mr Rutte say anything about the fact that the leftish Labour Party (PvdA), the junior party in the previous governing coalition, suffered a historic defeat, winning only nine seats, a loss of 29, in spite of a record turnout of 80.2% of eligible voters, the highest in 30 years, which analysts say may have benefited pro-EU and liberal parties.

Here's the way I look at it. Twenty-eight (count 'em, 28) parties contested the Dutch election. Mr Wilders' Freedom Party finished second -- not bad out of 28. Even if they had won, they wouldn't have been able to form a government, as the other parties -- all of them -- had declared in advance that they wouldn't partner with the "racist, Islamophobic" PVV, no matter what!

For his part, Mr Wilders said, "The genie is out of the bottle!", meaning that he had succeeded in bring the issues of immigration and the Islamization of Europe to the top of the minds of the Dutch people. He has a strong position in the new parliament, warned that Mr Rutte had "not seen the last" of him. "It's not the 30 seats I hoped for," he said, "but we have gained seats. This patriotic spring will happen."

What does the result mean for Europe and the EU? In April, the people of France go to the polls to elect a new president, with Marine Le Pen, leader of the Front National, expected to win at least the first round of voting. In Germany, the populist Alternative for Germany (AfD) may win seats in parliament for the first time ever in the general election to be held in September.

CBC News quotes (((Mabel Berezin))), professor of sociology at Cornell University, as saying that the defeat of Mr Wilders [Funny they call it a Wilders defeat rather than a Rutte victory. Ed.], who has been in parliament for nearly two decades, should not be considered a sign that European populism is waning. "He does not represent a populist wave. Rather, he is part of the political landscape and how his party fares does not tell us much about European populism," she said. "The real bellwether election will be Marine Le Pen's quest for the French presidency. That is where the populist action is and that is what we should be focusing upon."

COMMENT added 18/3/17: from Tony Burman, foreign affairs columnist for the Toronto Star: Result aside, there were aspects of the campaign itself that may surface elsewhere. Rutte, ostensibly a “liberal,” did little to challenge the anti-Muslim rhetoric of Wilders. In fact, Rutte incorporated some of Wilders’ themes into his own campaign. This included a full-page letter in Dutch newspapers that criticized Muslim immigrants for not integrating into Dutch society: “Behave normally, or leave,” the letter warned. This meant that Rutte fought Wilders on his own terms, instead of providing Dutch voters with a positive, high-minded vision of a Netherlands strengthened by its multicultural character.

Absentee votes deny Freedom Party victory in Austrian election

The final results from Austria's presidential election are now in. With Austrian voters apparently sick and tired of the centre-left coalitions that governed the country for two generations, the hard-fought campaign pitted the right-wing populist Freedom Party (FPO) against (believe it or not) the Green Party. It was like watching Donald Trump vs Bernie Sanders, but in German of course.

The Freedom Party campaigned on an "anti" platform -- anti-immigration, anti-Muslim (although they don't say so as directly as does The Donald), and -- very significantly -- anti-European Union, which is to say they're against the One Rainbow World Agenda. The Greens? Well, they're for all the rainbows and unicorns, alternative energy, Willkommenskultur and the brotherhood of man. [Ed., can I still say "brotherhood of man"?]

A key campaign issue was Europe's migrant crisis, which has seen the number of mostly Muslim asylum-seekers and "refugees" soar into the millions. Unlike their German kith and kin, Austrians have been decidedly unwelcoming to the Muslim hordes. Although only 90,000 or so people claimed asylum in Austria last year, that's equivalent to about 1% of the country's population, and many Austrians -- the majority, apparently -- feel that enough is enough!

As of last night, the Freedom Party's presidential candidate, Norbert Hofer, was leading the Greens' Alexander Van der Bellen by 51.9% to 48.1%. The actual margin was 144,006 votes, but there are some 750,000 postal ballots yet to be counted. Projections indicate the postal votes could favour Herr Van der Bellen, and sure enough, the final tally showed Herr Hofer with 49.7% of the vote and Herr Van der Bellen the president-elect, with 50.3%. The difference is only a little more than 31,000 votes out of more than 4.6 million ballots cast.

If Norbert Hofer had won, he would have been the first "far-right" head of state in the European Union. The implications -- not just for Austria but for all of Europe -- of the FPO's very narrow loss are enormous! Although the "antis" lost a close one, the result still adds momentum to the surge in support for populist and far-right parties in other European countries. As well, it gives impetus as well to the "Quit Europe" side in the UK "Brexit" referendum, coming next month. The forces of "progress and enlightenment" are more nervous now than ever... and rightly so!

Anti-Muslim motive for Swedish school killings

Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.

These words are taken from "The New Colossus", a sonnet written in 1993 by American poet Emma Lazarus. The poem is engraved on a bronze plaque mounted inside the lower level of the pedestal of the Statue of Liberty.

The country that has really really embraced the liberal sentiment of these words is not the USA, but Sweden. The Swedes are famous for being willing hosts to the scum of the earth: draft dodgers, deserters, refugees and asylum-seekers. They accept almost without question anyone who sets fut on their soil. But this week's bizarre incident in Trollhattan, an industrial town in southern Sweden, suggests Swedes' welcoming attitude may be changing.

The so-far-unidentified masked man pictured here, walked into Kronan School in Trollhattan, calmly walked around the building, even stopping to have his picture taken with students, and then stabbed two people to death.

The lamestream media took great pains, at first, to describe the murders as senseless, without apparent motive, and perhaps some kind of copycat killings related to the shootings at Umpqua College in Oregon earlier this month. A closer look at the facts suggests otherwise.

First of all, take a look at the helmet the masked sword-wielder is wearing. Looks familiar, doesn't it? But before we rush to portray the killer as a neo-Nazi -- the "usual suspects" lie told by American media in the Umpqua case -- consider the following.

Trollhattan is a grimy industrial town of 56,000 people. By end of 2013, 10,373 of those people were foreign-born, with most coming from the Middle East, the Balkans and Ethiopia. A majority of the students at Kronan School are foreign-born followers of the Prophet.

Now consider the identities of the victims. They were 20-year-old Lavin Eskandar, a "mentor" at the school, and Ahmed Hassan, a 15-year-old student. Taking into account discoveries they made when searching the man's home, the way he dressed, his behaviour at the scene and the way he selected his victims -- hint: they were Muslims -- police have labelled the stabbing a "hate crime".

"All together," said the Swedish chef [chief, surely! Ed.] this gives a picture that the perpetrator had a racist motive when he committed the crimes at Kronan School."

Of course it could be that the killer thought someone should take up arms against the Muslim invasion of his country. Since he died after being shot by police, we'll never know.

The new boat people: how come nobody wants them?

Two related stories in the meeja this weekend are causing a good deal of handwringing and hypocrisy at urgent sessions of the Disunited Nations, the European Quasi-union and other One-World talking shops. The Brotherhood of Man is being challenged by the arrival of boatloads of 1000s of mostly Muslim "refugees" from north Africa, the Middle East and south Asia now washing up on the shores of Europe and southeast Asia. Although no-one likes to admit it, the real reason no-one wants them is to be found in the two words preceding "refugees" in the previous sentence.

First, the bad news from the Mediterranean. In spite of widely reported drownings of hundreds of refugee wannabes, the tidal wave of dark people keeps increasing in size, and now threatens to inundate Italy and slop over into Switzerland, Germany and Austria. Everyone agrees that Something Must Be Done. Surely we're not going to let those "poor" people drown! But what is to be done? And by whom?

To make matters worse [Is that possible? Ed.] an adviser to the Libyan government [They have a government? Ed.] told BBC News this weekend that Islamic State (IS) fighters are being smuggled into Europe in the midst of the "genuine" refugees. Officials in Italy and Egypt have previously warned that IS militants could reach Europe by migrant boat, but say now -- possibly for fear of being labelled as "racists" or "Islamophobes" -- that it is very difficult to verify or assess such claims.

The Libyan official, Abudul Basit Haroun, based his claim on conversations with smugglers in parts of North Africa controlled by the militants. He "alleged" -- the BBC's word -- that IS was allowing the boat owners to continue their operations in exchange for half of their income. Earlier this year, -- the EU’s "alleged" -- Walt's word -- border control agency, Frontex, warned that it was "possible" that foreign fighters were using "irregular migration routes" to get into Europe.

Egypt’s ambassador to the UK has warned of "boats full of terrorists" if the international community does not act, while the Italian government has expressed fears of militants infiltrating the boats, while emphasizing that the boats are... wait for it... a "humanitarian crisis".

So what to do? BBC News reports today that EU foreign and defence ministers are expected to approve a mission to destroy the boats used by people-smugglers operating in war-torn Libya. (Notice how no-one talks any more about who start the war that destabilized Libya. Ye reap what ye sow.)

Speaking on arrival for an urgent meeting with the sprouts in Brussels, EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini said "today the main point will be taking the decision to establish the operation, the EU operation at sea to dismantle the criminal networks that are smuggling people in the Mediterranean." She did not say whether the boats would be destroyed before or after they were loaded.

Meanwhile, a parallel "humanitarian crisis" unfolds 1000s of miles away, in the Indian Ocean, where three countires -- Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia -- are being condemned by the do-gooders at the UN for refusing to rescue, let alone accept, 1000s of Muslim migrants adrift in the Andaman Sea.

Last week, at least 700 Bangladeshis and Rohingya from Myanmar were rescued off the Indonesian island of Aceh, bringing the numbers of "refugees" in camps there to at least 1500. The Rohingyas, if you haven't heard of them, are an ethnic group who have lived for yonks in northwest Burma [or Myanmar. Take your pick. Ed.] but are denied citizenship because they are, errr, Muslims, and Burma is a Buddhist country. 1000s of Rohingyas have shipped out, fleeing persecution and poverty in Myanmar. They are stranded at sea along with additional 1000s of Bangladeshis -- also Muslims -- who are just looking for work.

Aid agencies say a "grave humanitarian crisis" is in train as countries in the region refuse to accept the migrants. Visible on the sides of the refugee boats are numerous black marks which appear to have been made by ten-foot poles. Thailand, the closest country to Bangladesh and Burma is, like Burma, a Buddhist country, which doesn't want to be overrun by Muslims. Thailand's reluctance is understandable, given that they already have a problem with Islamic terrorists in their southernmost provinces.

Malaysia and Indonesia are, errr, Muslim countries, but don't seem any more disposed to receive their co-religionists than the Buddhists of Thailand. Indonesian authorities have told fishermen not to help the migrants unless their boats are sinking or they are in the water. Military spokesperson Fuad Basya said fishermen could deliver food, fuel and water to the boats, or help with repairs, but that bringing them to shore would constitute an illegal entry into Indonesia.

The Muslim boat people are believed to be severely malnourished. Survivors who have made it to shore say there have been deadly fights on board over food. UNHCR spokesthingy Vivian Tan called the lack of rescues over the past weekend "a bad sign" and warned that "time is running out" to help the migrants. The BBC quotes her as saying, "We were hoping that more ships would be found, and that more people would be rescued and allowed to come onto shore. Unfortunately, this didn't seem to have happened".

Who will take in the poor Muslim "refugees"? Walt suggests that American and Canadian authorities keep their eyes on their countries' Pacific coast, to see what the tide will bring in. Hey, it's happened before, and of course we "Christians" couldn't refuse entry to these huddled masses, because to do so would be anti-Muslim, racist, etc etc etc.

Anti-immigrant sentiment on the rise in... SWITZERLAND?!

The Swiss are a famously tolerant people -- even more so than Canadians! They are known to be polite, orderly, peaceful and clean. So it stands to reason that they would be increasingly concerned about the large and rapid influx of people who are not... errr... you get the picture. If you don't get the picture, look at this!

This poster is the work of the Swiss People's Party -- a nationalist grouping which has come from nowhere to a position of considerable political clout, holding over a quarter of the seats in Switzerland's lower house. The party was born of the backlash against mass immigration, particularly of Muslim "refugees" from Africa and the Middle East.

Other posters show a huge tree crushing a map of Switzerland, and a heavily veiled woman beneath the headline "1 million Muslims soon?" The posters are meant to encourage voters to support a proposal to impose an absolute limit on the number of foreigners who can move to Switzerland each year.

Voting is in progress even as we write. Recent polls show growing support for the plan, with 43% of people surveyed on January 21st backing the proposal, against 50% opposed and 7% undecided. A month earlier only 37% were in favour, with 55% against and 8% undecided.

In the past, Swiss voters have approved a number of measures loosening immigration rules. But the tide turned in 2009 when voters approved a plan to ban the construction of new minarets. The message would seem to be clear. Half a million Muslims out of a population of just 8 million is enough!

If the tolerant Swiss vote to restrict immigration, will the people of other "white Christian" countries have the courage to follow their lead? The UK already has its British National Party and UK Independence Party. How about an American People's Party? [Or a Canadian People's Party?! Len.] Where do we sign up?!
