Words of John Kennedy: "Love is the answer... but..."

Nooo.... not the John Kennedy who was Marilyn Monroe's quasi-secret sugar daddy. I'm talking about Senator John Kennedy (R-LA). 

He wasn't a Harvard man. Senator Kennedy graduated magna cum laude in political science, philosophy, and economics from Vanderbilt University. He was president of his senior class and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.

Senator Kennedy received his law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law, where he was an executive editor of the Virginia Law Review. He also earned a Bachelor of Civil Law degree with first-class honors from Oxford University (Magdalen College), where he studied under Sir Rupert Cross and Sir John H. C. Morris. 

Not only does Senator Kennedy have an outstanding academic background. He also possesses a keen sense of humour, on display here in his statement of beliefs.

VIDEO: Country star Brad Praisley sings and talks about freedom with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy

UNITED24 was launched by Volodymr Zelenskyy, the President of Ukraine, as a venue for collecting charitable donations in support of Ukraine's fight for freedom from Russia. One of UNITED24's ambassadors is country music superstar Brad Paisley, who dropped "Same Here", the first single from his upcoming album, Son of the Mountains on Friday, February 24th.

The date is significant, marking as it does the first anniversary of Russia's invasion of Ukraine. "Same Here" features a special appearance by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. In an appearance on NBC’s The Today Show, Brad Paisley said of President Zelenskyy, "I think he understands that art is how you reach the most people, especially in the heart. He can give as many speeches as he can give, but it's a lot easier to hear something with a melody."

The song doesn’t mention the Ukrainian war specifically, it ends with Paisley and the President in conversation, recorded during a video call. You'll hear President Zelenskyy talking about the Ukrainians' desire for freedom saying, "There is no distance between our two countries in such values."

Walt's comment: Lots of Americans and Canadians, maybe even some Europeans, also yearn for freedom from the tyranny of wokeism imposed on us by the liberal elites. Many thanks to Agent 5 for sharing this anthem of freedom!

VIDEO: Pierre Poilievre talks about old wood (???) - a message for freedom-loving conservatives everywhere

For those readers, especially Americans, who don't follow Canadian politics [Why would they? Ed.], let me bring you up to speed. By comparison with the Excited States, Canada is a pretty laid-back... or just plain dull... country. And Canucks like it that way. They generally elect governments which are either slightly to the left or (occasionally) slightly to the right of centre. There hasn't been a really conservative Conservative federal government since Adam was a little boy.

It has therefore come as a shock to the liberal Laurentian establishment that someone who sounds like a conservaative-cum-populist, in the mould of Donald Trump, looks like becoming the next leader of the Conservative Party of Canada, and, quite possibly, the next prime minister of Canuckistan.

That someone is Pierre Poilievre, about whom I've written before. Mr Poilievre is not truly a social conservative like Leslyn Lewis, the dark horse on the right. He has refused to grasp the nettles of the abortion, gay "marriage" and critical race theory issues. See "More on Poilievre and Lewis + Brown", WWW 2/5/22.

He has, however, championed the cause of freedom from Big Government, associating himself with the leaders of last winter's Freedom Convoy, and condemning Emperor Justin's use of emergency powers to impose vaccine and other mandates on the Canadian sheeple.

In so doing, he distances himself from Jean Charest -- the last of the Red Tories -- and Patrick Brown, the puppet of the World Sikh Organization of Canada. [The link is for those who think Walt is making this up. Ed.] This week the CPC disqualified Mr Brown for violating was campaign rules and (possibly) the Elections Act. 

That leaves John James Charest (his real name) as the only serious (?) candidate of the old "Conservative" establishment, with the likely outcome of September's vote being the coronation of Lucky Pierre. But M Poilievre isn't taking a landslide win for granted. His team has just released a clever and skillfully made video, in which he waxes poetic over some old planks. What does this have to do with conservative values? Check it out.  

 

For those who didn't or couldn't watch the video, here's a synopsis. Mr Poilievre at home in Ottawa admiring a wooden post he recovered from an old barn and used in a DIY project. Early lumberjacks hewed it from logs, he says, leaving the scars of their axes as evidence of their labour. Then he turns to the planks on the wall. He bought them from a farmer, and spent hours cleaning and restoring them. 

Why? Because they tell a story about the people who fashioned them and the elements that weathered them. All he did, he says, was to reclaim what was already there in the wood. And reclaiming Canadians' lost freedom is what his campaign is about. That's his message.

Liberals, he explains, have been trying to build a kind of utopia, knocking down statues, sweeping away history and banning words as they go. This is nothing but a pretext to give themselves "vast new powers," which they've been trying to do all through the past seven years of Liberal government.

"Reclaim your life," he concludes. "Reclaim your freedom!" That's a powerful message -- a challenge which ought to resonate with not just the sheeplike Canucks, but with Americans, Britons and lovers of freedom throughout the western world. Walt says, "Right on!"

UPDATED: Canada Day has been cancelled

In place of our customary Canada Day greeting to our many Canadian friends and readers, Walt, Poor Len [and Ed.! Ed.] send condolences. We know that, thanks to Just In Trudeau, Emperor of All Canuckistan, this is how most of you feel about the country you used to call "yours".

Here, courtesy of the CBC ("The Voice of the Liberals"), is the news of Canada Day.

Item: The Forks is a historic site and green space located at the confluence of the Red River and Assiniboine Rivers in downtown Winnipeg MB, the city with the largest Indigenous population in Canada. 

This year, in recognition of the "fact" that the land was "stolen" from the First Nations, The Forks recast its Canada Day festivities into "an inclusive celebration of multiculturalism" it's calling "A New Day". Canada Day is cancelled.

Item: Tamara Lich, winner of the George Jonas Freedom Award for 2022, will spend Canada Day in Jail. On Monday, she was arrested in Medicine Hat AB for allegedly breaching bail conditions imposed by a judge (a Liberal appointee) related to charges for her role in the Freedom Convoy.

Ms Lich is charged with one count of failing to comply with her release order in a warrant issued by Ontario authorities, which means she is alleged to have breached her condition in that province. She must appear in court in Ontario within six days, with that time limit conveniently extending just past Canada Day.

Tamara Lich is a political prisoner in Blackie McBlackface's Liberal democracy, which every day looks more and more like the Communist China which Junior so admires.

Item: Even though Ms Lich is being returned (against her will) to Ontario, you can bet she won't be taken to the second-coldest capital city in the world. Ottawa authorities [word carefully chosen. Ed.] are shit-scared that her appearance, even behind bars of an Ottawa gaol, would add fuel to the flames of freedom protests planned for July 1st.

City officials say they are prepared for a "unique" Canada Day, with plans to keep anti-government protests from turning into another occupation. This year the nationally broadcast TV propaganda-fest will originate  from the plaza in front of the Canadian War Museum, because Parliament Hill is closed to Canadians due to "ongoing construction". 

Well, that's the party line. Fact is, Ottawa police are bracing themselves for more protests and larger crowds than usual, as groups "related to the Freedom Convoy" are planning demonstrations. They have called in reinforcements from the Mounties -- look out for those horses! -- and the Ontario Provincial Police.

On Tuesday morning, the cops published a stern warning that they will be on the lookout for "racist, homophobic, misogynistic signs or speech during this year’s Canada Day celebrations." A spokesperson with the force [another carefully chosen word. Ed.] said that "communicating any such messaging either verbally or in another fashion could lead to criminal charges."

Such is that state of Canada on this Day Formerly Known As Canada Day. There is no more pride in Canada. Pride in homosexuality, fine. Ethnic pride within immigrant communities, perfectly acceptable. Even pride in French-Canadian culture, as shown on Saint-Jean-Baptiste Day is permitted. But pride in Canada's Anglophone heritage? Unacceptable!

Under the Trudeaus, father and son, Canadians are encouraged to disremember that it was largely  "old stock Canadians" from the so-called British Isles who were responsible for the things Canadians take for granted: parliamentary democracy, freedom of expression, freedom of the press, common law jurisprudence, habeas corpus, the court system, Charter rights, personal freedoms and many more foundational aspects of Canadian society. 

If the police and their political masters are worried -- and well they might be -- about the possibility of angry demonstrations in Canada's capital... if they wonder why ordinary Canadians are so incensed, and what's causing the protests... they should look in the mirror.

The protesters would not be gathering in Ottawa or anywhere else in the Not-so-great Not-so-white North if not for the policies and actions of M Trudeau and the liberal elites. Millions of Canadians want a return of the personal freedoms taken away by the Liberal nanny state. In spite of all that "true North, strong and free" bullshit, Canadian society is divided, make that fragmented, as never before. And Just In Trudeau is to blame. Never forget.

UPDATE ADDED 1/7/22: Homosexuality is filthy, and homosexual acts warrant the death penalty. Christian Arabs who protect Jews from murderers are traitors. A man should be permitted to beat his wife. 

These are among the ideas promoted by several of the individuals who will be featured speakers at a national three-day conference of the Muslim Association of Canada, beginning today in Toronto. Good thing they're not meeting in Ottawa where (see above) the cops are on the lookout for hate speech, homophobia, etc etc. 

The Liberal government of Canuck Prime Minister Blackie McBlackface has provided the MAC with more than $3 million in federal "anti-hate", youth engagement and security funding over the past three years. Never forget.

VIDEO: Canadian election: the natives are restless!

A few days ago the government of Canuckistan (J. Trudeau, Prop.) opened its side of the World's Longest Undefended Border (TM) to American visitors, as long as they've had the kung flu jabs. (Frostbacks are still barred from non-essential travel to the US side.) Border crossings [including the one at Roxham Rd, Québec? Ed.] have been festooned with welcome signs -- "Keep Canada green! Bring American money!"

Walt spent the Labour Day weekend in the Niagara Region of southern Ontario, on the pretty and peaceful side of the river, to see firsthand how Mr Socks' campaign for re-election is unfolding. 

As noted here a week ago, native Canadians -- meaning "old stock Canadians" (read: those of European descent), not the "First Nations" who used to be called Indians and Eskimos -- are angry about a costly and unnecessary election, called in the middle of the Covid "crisis" merely to satisfy the Trudeau ego. And -- surprise, surprise! -- they're actually taking to the streets in "mostly peaceful protests"!

Yesterday, as luck would have it, Walt was in the neighbourhood when Blackie McBlackface visited a steel plant in Welland ON, in the heart of Niagara, for what was supposed to be a photo op in which Hisself would appear doing fistbumps with happy smiling peasants [workers, shurely! Ed.]

As it turned out, he (and the short lady in black -- Canada's "Diplomat of the Year" for 2018 -- you can look it up) were surrounded by more cops and security guards than workers. The rent-a-cops were in turn surrounded by angry protesters. Here's the video, from CHCH-TV in nearby Hamilton ON.  

 

How about that, EH?! As you heard in the video, Mr Socks claims the protesters were just a bunch of anti-vaxxers. But did you see the sign? Not the one that said "Trudeau is a little shit!", but the other one which read "Fear tyranny, not the virus!" That, dear friends, is what so many Canucks are upset about -- loss of freedom! 

Forced vaccination, "vaccine passports", lockdowns, and the campaign by the nanny state to control every aspect of people's lives -- that's why people are up in arms, not just in Canada and the USA, but in the UK and Europe as well. 

Still, it's surprising to see the normally polite and sheeplike Canadians getting so incensed (about something other than hockey) that they'd turn up on a holiday Monday when the weather was perfect for golf or sailing or whatever they usually do up there.

After the unpleasantness in Welland, Blackie McBlackface and the Lady in Black (it was actually the Hon. Chrystia Freeland, who usually wears a red dress, or sometimes a white one that shows off her nips) were bussed to London ON, where things actually got worse!

An even bigger crowd of protesters met the bus, heckling and jeering continually as M Trudeau made yet another little show of defiance, saying he would not stop "standing up for Canadians." He might better have said "standing up to Canadians", since the latest polls show the majority of voters are going ABT.

But wait (as Vince Offer used to say), there's more! While boarding the bus to get out of Dodge, the Little Emperor was hit by gravel or some such small objects [popcorn? sheep shit? Ed.] thrown in his direction. The Masked Male Feminist looked startled as he ducked inside the vehicle. He later confirmed to reporters on the campaign plane that he was hit by gravel, but said he was OK.

What will happen today? Will M Trudeau be able to make any public appearances, anywhere, without attracting angry protesters, just as flies are attracted to... well, you know.... Walt thinks the Diplomat of the Year [You've beaten that gag to death. Ed.] may have been wearing a black dress as a signal that she knows the Campaign to Re-elect Canada's Prettiest Prime Minister is doomed. Doomed, I tell you!

Polling day (the proper name, in Canada and the UK, for the day on which people vote) is September 20th. Stay tuned. Agent 3 will make the popcorn; Poor Len Canayen will make poutine.

Agent 6 is one of those who's veen skeptical, from the beginning, about the Covid-19 pandemic. He has forwarded to us this video, "The New Normal", published on the America's Frontline Doctors website. AFD has been accused by the usual suspects -- the liberal one-worlders -- of being "a handful of conspiracy-minded physicians" who believe that the whole point of the Dempanic, is to pave the way for the Great Reset, the beginning of the New World Order. 

According to the controlled media, they are guilty of "spreading misinformation" about a virus which is -- can we be honest here -- nothing more than a new form of the "flu" which has been with us for centuries. That's why YouTube doesn't want you to see this video. But here it is! Running time 53:13.

   

The video sure made a believer out of me! Agent 6's reaction: Maybe there was a good reason why they had us read Brave New World, Animal Farm, and 1984, back in high school days. (That shows you how old Agent 6 -- my contemporary.) 

Nowadays those books are being stricken from high school curricula in many "progressive" school districts. If you've never done so, read them while you can still find them! If you can do so and still trust your government and other elites to do the "right thing" for the good of the people, it's just possible that you've been infected with the "new world virus", beyond hope of a cure.

VIDEO: Max Bernier: Non à l'implantation d’un passeport sanitaire! / Say No to the Vaccine Passport!

Seems hard to believe that it was just over two years ago that our good friend Poor Len Canayen was enthusing about the formation of the People' Party of Canada / le Parti Populaire du Canada, facing its first ever test in that fall's election. The party was new, and faced tremendous challenges, not the least being the studied silence -- shall we say ignorance -- of Canada's lickspittle media. 

The PPC did not fare well in the polls, failing to elect a single Member of Parliament. "Mad Max" just missed being re-elected in the Québec riding of Beauce. (He had been elected previously as a Conservative.) 

It would have been easy for M Bernier and his followers to give up, and some did. But Max stuck with it, putting out a regular newsletter, hosting "The Max Bernier Show" on YouTube, and posting regularly on Facebook and Twitter. Max also toured the country from coast to coast, speaking at rallies in defence of freedom. Freedom of speech, freedom of thought, freedom from political correctness, and freedom from control by Trudeau's overweening leftist nanny state. 

The most successful demonstration to date was held just yesterday in Montréal. 1000s of freedom-loving Canadians turned out to protest the Québec (and now Canadian) governments' plans for "vaccination passports", which would relegate the unvaccinated to the status of second-class citizens, unable to go where they please in the no-longer-Great, no-longer-White North. Here's part of Max's speech.

Where are we now?

I looked at this rather complex Venn diagram and under the "instersectionality" [Aha! Caught you using that buzzword! Ed.] of everything except "Gattaca", which I'd never heard of before. Turns out it's a movie, which appeared in 1997, while I was in darkest Africa. 

The summary on IMDb says (only): A genetically inferior man assumes the identity of a superior one in order to pursue his lifelong dream of space travel. Elsewhere, I read: The film Gattaca explores themes of genetic manipulation, freedom of self-determination, and eugenics, the practice of advocating for the genetic improvement of the human species through selective reproduction. 

Hmmm. "Selective reproduction". That would include sex-selective abortion, I suppose. I understand now why it's included in the diagram. Must get hold of a copy.

Walt reviews the Anus Horribilis 2020 - Part 1: The Dempanic

Ed. here. 2020 is almost over, thank God, truly an Annus Horribilis if ever there was one. (I know my Latin but Walt insists on leaving the headline as he wrote it.) In the 11+ years of WWW, we've never attempted a full-on yearend review, but Mr Whiteman has ordered me to make space for a number of things he wants to get off his chest. This will probably take at least two posts, so let's begin....

News story of the Year

Without doubt the top story of this horrible year is Covid-19, aka the Corona Virus. Influenza, in various mutations, has afflicted humans since Adam was a little boy. I blame the lamestream media for turning an unusually virulent variant into a full-on worldwide made-for-media horror show, hyped way beyond what the nature of the beast deserves.

Nowhere was that more the case than in the Excited States of America, where the Democrats, never-Trumpers and the lickspittle controlled media saw their chance to blame the disease on President Trump, thereby subverting and overthrowing his theretofore-successful administration. 

Whether they will succeed or not remains to be seen, but to judge the extent of the media manipulation of the latest of plagues God has sent to chastise wicked humanity, let's compare Covid-19 with the Spanish flu which raged around the world just 102 years ago. Lasting from February 1918 through April 1920, the pandemic of 1918 -- the deadliest in history (including the present pandemic) -- infected an estimated 500 million people worldwide, about a third of Earth's population at the time.

Worldwide, the Spanish flu killed an estimated 20 million to 50 million victims, including some 675,000 Americans, out of a population of around 103 million. Around 25% of the American population was infected. Of those infected, roughly 2.625% died. That's all. 

With vaccines being rolled out -- the result of Operation Warp Speed, led by Vice-President Pence (lest we forget!) -- the Covid-19 infection rate should be, at worst, 10% of the US population of 331 million. And with modern medicine, the death rate will likely top out at no more than 1.5%. Do the math! That's under half a million, still a horrendous figure but nothing like as devastating, proportionately, as that of the Spanish flu. So could everyone please calm down!

While I'm at it, can I ask why it's OK to rfefer to the 1918 flu as the "Spanish flu", when it appears to have started in the good ole US of A. The first known case was reported at a military base in Kansas on 11 March 1918, and it is thought that American doughboys took it to France, and thence to the rest of Europe and parts of Asia. The news was suppressed in the newspapers of the World War I allies, but reported in neutral Spain, and that's how the disease came to be called the "Spanish flu".

The corona virus appears to have originated in Wuhan, China. That's what comes of eating bats! So why is it politically incorrect to call it "Wuhan flu", "Chinese flu" or "Kung flu"? Must be because the term "Kung flu" was used by Still-President Trump, thus making it "racist". All part of the plan to create the Dempanic as a cover for an attack on our civil liberties, including freedom to worship, to speak and even to think.

Take heart, dear reader. People, including all of us here at WWW, are starting to get vaccinated. And don't you dare not get your shot! Remember the drowning man who wouldn't get in the boat God sent him! By this time next year, please God, the pandemic will be over and we can start to count the cost of making a big fuss over something that wasn't, in the overall scheme of things, such a big deal.

Keep your mind alive! Free online courses from Hillsdale College

The slug-fest between Sleepy Joe Biden and Still-President Trump drags on. We're now in the 14th round (see yesterday's post about Sidney Powell's suit in the Supreme Court), with President Wannabe ahead on points. While we wait for the champion to rise on the count of 8, there are other, completely different things worth noting and passing on to you, dear reader.

One such, of which Walt is reminded by Agent 35 (thanks!) is the existence of Hillsdale College, an educational institution separate and apart from the liberal mainstream, dedicated to learning, character, faith, and freedom. For more than 170 years, Hillsdale has promoted “the diffusion of sound learning” as the best way to preserve the blessings of civil and religious liberty.

Hillsdale College has a real bricks-and-mortar campus, but also offers free, not-for-credit, online courses, taught by college faculty and patterned after the education offered on the Hillsdale College campus. They aim to provide students with an education that pursues knowledge of the highest things, provides insight into the nature of God and man, forms character, and defends constitutional government.

An excellent example, and very relevant to the current unpleasantness, is "Introduction to the Constitution". If you follow the course, you may be able to form your own opinion -- not that of the lamestream media -- as to the correctness... or otherwise... of the SCOTUS decision on the Texas challenge. If that doesn't work, try "Congress: How It Worked and Why It Doesn't"!

Two more course offerings worth considering are "Western Heritage: From the Book of Genesis to John Locke", and "An Introduction to C.S. Lewis: Writings and Significance". Any educational institution that offers courses of that sort gets Walt's Gold Seal of Approval!

The courses are free, many of them sponsored by philanthropical organizations such as the Trzcinski Foundation, but you will be invited to lend your support to the college -- a worthwhile cause, for sure.

"1984" -- Is it an anti-Trump polemic or what?

Walt had to wash his hair yesterday, so didn't attend "National Screening Day", celebrated by snowflakes across the USA, but also in Canada (of course), and Sweden (ditto). The brainchild of (((Dylan Skolnick))), co-director of the Cinema Arts Centre on Long Island (more of course), and (((Adam Birnbaum))), director of film programming at the Avon Theatre Film Center in Connecticut (more ditto), National Screaming Day was to have featured the simultaneously showing in 200 cinemas worldwide of George Orwell's dystopian classic, 1984. Why? To protest against President Donald Trump...of course.

In a crisis of angst following the US presidential election, Messrs (((Skolnick))) and (((Birnbaum))) began talking about organizing a film event to express how they felt about the new administration. Mr Skolnick told Al Jazeera [Isn't that the Arab news network? Jews working with Muslims? Huh? Ed.] that he realized 1984 would be "the perfect film to show given the current political climate in the US".

The trouble with that notion is that the prophesy of 1984 came true about a decade or two ahead of schedule. It has nothing to do with the present administration or the holder of the highest office in the land. Ed. has found the trailer for the movie. 1984 takes place in a world consumed by war and ubiquitous government surveillance. The unnamed state -- one of three great powers who are locked in a never-ending three-cornered war -- is under the control of "The Party", also unnamed. It doesn't matter whether it's Republican or Democrat, Communist of National Socialists. Independent thought, indeed individualism itself, is illegal. The "Thought Police" monitor every publication, every utterance, every action of the citizens. There is no privacy and no freedom. Political correctness is mandatory. Deviant thinkers and deviant thoughts will be punished...and eliminated.There is no privacy and no freedom.

"Big Brother is watching you" is the byword, summing up perfectly the subjugation of the individual to the state. And that's the real prophesy, not just for America but for Russia and China, and every nation in the so-called civilized world. If you don't believe it, try standing on a soapbox in your neighbourhood park (if your neighbourhood has one) and proclaiming your true feelings about race relations or the Muslim civil war or any subject you like, and see what happens.

Since it's too late to reclaim from the ubiquitous, iniquitous state our freedoms of action, speech or even thought, Walt presents, as a public service, five rules for survival in the state described in today's world (as foreseen in 1984).

1. Don't think.
2. If you think, don't speak.
3. If you think and speak, don't write.
4. If you think, speak and write, don't sign your name.
5. If you think, speak, write and sign your name...don't be surprised.

Seriously, this time: Ron Paul explains why Brexit matters to us

If you skipped over yesterday's post -- "Catholic prelate says South Sudan 'ruled by monkeys'" -- because you thought it was just about Africa, please click on the link and check out the first couple of paragraphs, because I started with some musings about Brexit.

A revolution against the prevailing orthodoxy of globalism strikes me as being a Good Thing. The idea of one big happy worldwide family is the veriest bullshit, contrary to human nature. Everyone knows this, but the liberal elites who dominate our media, universities and political parties refuse to admit it. Now we "ordinary people" are starting to get up on our hind feet and say we've had enough. About time!

A couple of days earlier I posted a piece on American reaction to Brexit, the gist of which was that Merkans were struggling to understand why a democratically elected head of government -- British PM David Cameron -- would relinquish control simply because he had been shown to have made a spectacularly bad judgment call. That post, dear readers, was lifted from The Onion, as I thought I made clear. It was satire, a joke, funny haha.

Apparently some of you mistook it for a real op-ed piece, so, to get serious, I refer you to "After 'Brexit', Can We Exit a Few Things Too?" by Ron Paul. As usual, Mr Paul has some very common-sensical things to say about why the Brits voted themselves out of Europe, and what lessons America might usefully learn from their decision. Here's are key excerpts. The emphasis is mine.

Last week’s UK vote to leave the EU may have come as a shock to many, but the sentiment that led British voters to reject rule from Brussels is nothing unique. In fact it is growing sentiment worldwide. Frustration with politics as usual, with political parties that really do not differ in philosophy, with an economy that serves the one percent at the expense of the rest of society is a growing phenomenon throughout Europe and in the United States as well. The Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump phenomena are but one example of a frustrated public sensing something is very wrong with society and looking for a way out....

Is Brexit the first victory in a larger freedom movement? Can we get out of a system that creates money out of thin air to benefit the ruling class while impoverishing the middle class? Can we get out of a central bank that finances the wars that make us less safe? Can we exit Executive Orders? Can we exit the surveillance state? The PATRIOT Act? Can we exit NDAA and indefinite detention? Can we exit the US worldwide drone program, that kills innocents overseas and makes us ever-more hated?...

The act of exit is liberating. We should make a longer list of those things we would like to get out of. I am only getting started.

Note from Ed.: I trust Mr Paul won't mind my showing his words in blue. Unlike in the Excited States of America, blue is the colour of conservatism in Britain, Canada and many other democratic countries. Red is the colour of socialism, communism and the extreme left. Think The Red Flag. The reversal of these colours in the politics of the USA is yet another example of "American exceptionalism". Think weirdness.
