President Joe Biden dropped out of the 2024 race for the White House on Sunday, ending his bid for re-election following a disastrous debate with Donald Trump that raised doubts about his fitness for office just four months before the election.
The decision comes after escalating pressure from Biden’s Democratic allies to step aside following the June 27 debate, in which the 81-year-old president trailed off, often gave nonsensical answers and failed to call out the former president’s many falsehoods.

However... AP reports that Brandon "plans to serve out the remainder of his term in office, which ends at noon ET on Jan. 20, 2025." He could do a lot more damage to the US of A between now and then. House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) is calling on him to step down from the presidency immediately. In a statement on X, Mr Johnson writes, "If Joe Biden is not fit to run for President, he is not fit to serve as President. He must resign the office immediately. November 5 cannot arrive soon enough."
Of course Senile Joe should have quit ages ago. But doing so now would all but guarantee the Dumbocratic nomination for America's first female Indo-Jamaican vice-president. Maybe, his statement on X notwithstanding, Demented Joe [or his handlers. Ed.] doesn't want that. [Ya think? Ed.]
