Sri Lankans strike back at Muslims after Easter Jihad bombings
The south Asian island nation of Sri Lanka has been under a state of emergency since the Easter Jihad in which bombings at three Christian churches and three hotels killed more than 250 people on the holiest day of the Christian calendar. See "Sri Lanka massacre work of 'the Religion of Peace'? Hmmm?", "Sri Lanka: Suspicions confirmed; Islamic terrorists kill nearly 300" and "ISIS claims responsibility for Sri Lanka massacre of over 300 Christians", WWW 21-23/4/19.
Jesus called on his followers to "turn the other cheek", and, predictably, nominally Christian and secular world leaders, up to and including Pope Francis, called on Lankan Christians (90% of whom are Catholic) to keep calm and carry on, be tolerant, and understand that it's the Muslim terrorists who are the real victims of racism, marginalization, yada yada yada. We mustn't provoke them any more!
So the apologists for Islamic terrorism tell us, but in Sri Lanka at least some Christians are getting up on their hind feet to counter the Islamic jihad. Despite a nationwide curfew, there have been dozens of attacks on mosques, Muslim-owned businesses and Muslim people. Muslims constitute some 10% of Sri Lanka's 22 million people; Christians make up around 7.5% of the population. The majority are Sinhalese Buddhists, and it should be noted that many Buddhists have joined in the riots. Here, then, is a thought for the day.

Walt explains why the Muslim jihadists want to kill us
Last week -- before yesterday's tragic events in Brussels -- Agent 6 e-mailed me to express his lack of understanding of why the ISIS (and al-Qaeda, Boko Haram, al-Shabaab and Taliban) terrorists keep killing people. Speaking of the Muslim terrorist attack on a Canadian Forces recruiting office, our esteemed agent calls it "a sordid story. One wonders what went through the mind of Ayanie Hassan Ali before the attack. What did he really hope to accomplish in the name of Allah? And he was born and raised [in Canada]! Could be a result of too much inbreeding through his heritage. Will raise suspicion for anyone with a beard."
Last night I heard a "security expert" giving his explanation for the Muslims' attacks on Westerners. He said that in Europe and North America, Muslims are "marginalized" and the victims of discrimination, demonization and (of course) Islamophobia. He made a thinly veiled reference to Donald Trump and others who preach "exclusion".
That's rubbish! Totally! A big black crock! The answer to Agent 6's question, and the contradiction to the politically correct explanation of the "expert", is to be found in what Ayanie Hassan Ali shouted as he knifed the soldiers. "Allah told me to do this," he yelled. "Allah told me to come here and kill people!"
The celebrators of diversity were quick to say that was just the rant of one deranged individual, not representative of the feelings of the vast majority of "moderate Muslims". That's rubbish too! Rewind to October 2014 when two "homegrown, radicalized Muslims" killed two Canadian soldiers in separate incidents in Ottawa and St-Jean-sur-Richelieu. Not long before the attacks, a young Canuck fighting in the sandpit for ISIS posted a video warning "We're coming to get you!" -- referring to not just the Great Satan but the British, Canadians, Australians and any others who would dare to wage war on them, or stand in the way of their jihad to establish a New Caliphate in the Middle East.
That's pretty much the truth of it. The Islamic terrorists -- ISIS (or whatever we're calling it today), al-Qaeda and the rest of them -- have declared jihad (holy war) on all Christians and other unbelievers, and are exhorting their followers and sympathizers in every country to "kill the infidels, wherever they may be found!"
"Wherever they may be found" includes Paris, Madrid, London, New York, Boston, Ottawa, Toronto, San Bernardino... and now Brussels. This shouldn't come as a surprise. See "Turkish President Erdoğan predicted Brussels bombings last Friday!", WWW 22/3/16. And please, let's stop saying it's because we're being mean to Muslims. The Islamic extremists want to kill us... because Allah's telling them to!
Footnote: On the Vatican Insider web page, Andrea Tornielli quotes the Catholic Patriarch of Jerusalem, Archbishop Fouad Twal, as taking issue with the US announcement that a genocidal campaign against Christians is taking place in the Middle East. "The statement comes too late, when everything has already happened," said the prelate. "Everyone has either escaped or [is] dead."

Turkish President Erdoğan predicted Brussels bombings last Friday!
According to the public transport operator, 15 people were killed and 81 injured in a blast at Maelbeek metro station. The Belgian health minister said 11 people died in two explosions at the Zaventem airport just outside Brussels. The number of killed may yet rise, as earlier reports put the airport death toll at 13.
As yet, no-one has claimed responsibility for the attacks, and no-one has said it was Muslim jihadists that did it. But Belgium's federal prosecutor said that at least one of the explosions at the airport was likely caused by a suicide bomber. He earlier described the explosions as terror attacks. And Reuters reported that a witness said he heard shouts in Arabic shortly before two blasts struck the packed airport departures area. Walt is offering 99 to 1 odds (place your bets by PayPal) that the attackers were followers of the prophet.
Hold on... Perhaps it's not fair for me to take your money. I had a tipoff from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan! This past Friday Mr. Erdoğan gave a speech at a ceremony to commemorate the 101st anniversary of the Battle of Gallipoli, in which he warned European countries about terrorist organizations. Here's what he said. "Once again I call on countries that directly or indirectly support terror groups. The snakes you are sleeping with can bite you any time. European countries are paying no attention as if they are dancing in a minefield. There is no reason why the bomb that exploded in Ankara cannot explode in Brussels, in any other European city."
Sadly, it's not just European leaders who are paying no attention. The "Leader of the Free World" [Who dat? Ed.] pays no attention. POTUS's would-be successor -- Hellery Clinton -- pays no attention. The Canuck celebrity who thinks he's the up-and-coming champion of progressivism -- Justin Trudeau -- pays no attention. And when someone like Donald Trump says folks like Mr. Erdoğan and Marine Le Pen (see yesterday's post) are right, and we should keep the Muslims out, they call him a racist. There are none so deaf as those who will not hear!

How about we fight back?!
Just the facts...
As of this morning, 127 people are confirmed dead in the wave of terrorist bombings across Paris yesterday. They were, almost without exception, non-Muslims.
8 of the killers are dead -- 7 who blew themselves up (suicide bombers) and 1 "neutralized" by French police. They were all Muslims -- Islamic terrorists, jihadists, whatever term you like -- determined to slaughter as many non-Muslims as possible before going to the Paradise promised by the Prophet Mohammed.
Interviewed by the CBC, a "security expert", John Thompson, suggested that some of the terrorists might have entered France "mixed in" with the 1000s of "refugees" from Syria and elsewhere whom the French government has welcomed into the country. A Syrian passport was found amid the body parts of one of the suicide bombers.
ISIS has claimed credit for the biggest attack on Paris and the French people since World War II. All the bleeding-heart liberal media types and politicians who kept telling us that it was too early to be sure who was responsible, we mustn't jump to conclusions, beware of Islamophobia, yada yada yada, were wrong, and IMHO deliberately so.
From the very first report, I knew who did it. So did you, dear reader. Everybody knew it, except those who refuse to face the facts. The Paris killings are yet another attack in the Muslim war against the rest of us. French President François Hollande even called it an "act of war". But it is more than "war". What the Islamists are waging is jihad -- so-called "holy war".
The question is: when and how are we going to fight back? I can't answer the "when", but I think if we were smart -- a doubtful proposition -- we would begin by ceasing immediately the suicidal stupidity of admitting to our countries aliens who threaten our security and our culture. Will we do it? Is the Pope Catholic? (Answer to both questions -- NO!)

Islamic extremists don't discriminate; they kill anyone and everyone
Walt has given up keeping score -- too many games in progress -- but notes two more massacres in Africa and Asia, and that's just within the last 24 hours.
As if the body counters in Pakistan weren't busy enough with last weekend's bombing outside an Anglican church (not forgetting this week's earthquake) they now have to hustle back to Peshawar, where twin blasts killed 33 people and wounded 70 today.
Although no-one has claimed responsibility for today's bombings, the style of the massacre -- suicide bombs exploded near a mosque and a crowded market -- is SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) for the Taliban. In case no-one noticed, Reuters tells us "Islamist violence has been on the rise in Pakistan in recent months, undermining Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's efforts to tame the insurgency by launching peace talks with the Taliban."
Reuters also quotes "one woman in a long headscarf" ["niqab" surely. Ed.] as wailing "Who is burning Peshawar, who is burning Peshawar?" Answers on the back of a postage stamp to Mr. Nawaz Sharif, Islamabad, Pakistan.
Meanwhile, in the most dangerous country in Africa [By whose account? Ed.] Islamist gunmen have attacked the Yobe State College of Agriculture in northeastern Nigeria, killing 44 students, or maybe it was 50. Casualty figures vary, but a local politician told the BBC that two vanloads of bodies had been taken to a hospital in the state capital.
The students were shot dead as they slept in their dormitory. Yobe state and most of northern Nigeria is under a state of emergency because of an insurgency by the Boko Haram group of Islamic fundamentalists.
They are fighting (so they say) to overthrow Nigeria's government and create an Islamic state. To this end, they've been attacking schools which teach "unIslamic things", regardless of whether the students are Muslims or "infidels". This, they say, will somehow weaken the Great Satan -- the USA -- and thus... well, as with most of what happens in Africa, the point is unclear.
Walt notes, however, that the majority of victims of today's mass killings were (probably) Muslims. Which proves that the Islamic fundamentalists are not anti-Christian, as many say. Well, not just anti-Christian. Seems as if they're against anyone and everyone who isn't Islamic enough.

Confusion and gunfire in [fill in name of African country]
Actually it's Kenya. Walt is trying to get a final body count from the al-Shabaab [rough translation = "young guys". Ed.] terrorist attack on Nairobi's Westgate mall, but official sources keep telling different stories. One minister says the army has everything under control. Another says there "may" still be terrorists (and hostages, and maybe some more corpses) inside the building. SNAFU.
It's now the fourth day of the Islamic extremists' occupation of the mall, the purpose of which was to kill a bunch of non-Muslims in retaliation for the Kenyan army's incursions into the failed state that was Somalia. The connection between an upscale shopping centre and the fighting in Mogadiscio is as clear as anything ever is in Africa.
The attack has come at a time when several violent Islamist groups from Mali to Algeria, Nigeria to Kenya -- tapping into local grievances but all espousing an anti-Western, anti-Christian creed -- are striking at state authority and international interests.
And of course it's not just Africa. "Forens" and "infidels" aren't safe anywhere in the Middle East. Especially places like:
Afghanistan -- 3 western "military advisers" killed on the weekend by someone in an Afghan army uniform
Syria -- local Christians imploring the USA and UN not to give help or support to the anti-Assad rebels, who they call Islamic extremists masquerading as democracts, and
Pakistan -- death toll in the suicide bombing at All Saints Church in Peshawar now holding at 85.
The Muslims have declared jihad -- "holy war" -- on the rest of us. True Christians would turn the other cheek. But not all those being killed or threatened are such Christians... or are they?
