AL man charged with "interacting inappropriately" with a horse

From the state that voted for Doug Jones comes an interesting story, the first of this genre that we've seen in some time. [The last one was nearly five years ago: "Zoophilia still practised in Canada and Germany", WWW 20/1/13. You're welcome. Ed.]

Daniel Bennett, age 18, of Irvington AL, is a zoophile. Thanks, Ed., for reminding me of the proper term for someone who loves animals. Mr Bennett's particular love is horses. He really loves them! So much so that he stands accused of having broken into Francine Janes' barn in Mobile County last week. Upon being found by Ms Janes and her husband, Mr Bennett told them that "he likes horses," Ms Janes said. "He wanted to pet the horse."

Ms Janes thought there was a bit more to it than that. She told investigators from the Mobile Co. Sheriff's office she found what she believes to be evidence in her steed's stall several times throughout the month of December. "I would say seven maybe 10 times," she told the local TV station. "Toilet paper had been left. The hay stacks had been removed. Items had been turned over. And that's as far as I want to go."

Walt is pleased to report that the object of Mr Bennett's affections is a mare -- a female horse -- named Polly. Nothing wrong with Daniel... except that the horse is a couple of years older than he is, but I suppose one can't be choosy.

Ms Janes' husband reportedly held Mr Bennett at gunpoint until police arrived. Police reportedly discovered that Bennett had a trench coat with a burglar's tool in it. [No cheap jokes, please. Ed.] He was charged with possession of burglar's tools, sexual misconduct and second-degree criminal trespass. The arrest warrant calls bestiality a misdemeanor, claiming that Mr Bennett "engaged in or submitted to any sexual contact with an animal, to-wit: a horse."

Anyone planning on being in court for Mr Bennett's (scheduled for January 18th) is advised to arrive early. There is a rumor that Judge Roy Moore, not having business elsewhere, is seeking to return to the bench for the occasion.

Thanks and a tip o' the toque to Agent 34, to whom this message: Walt expects to be up your alley within the next six weeks.

Oprah for President... and, for Vice-President... ???

Ahhhh... this is too easy. This one didn't even need a caption. I don't think Ed.'s going to let me run many more of these.

Oprah for President in 2020?

Well... why not? Who else have the Democrats got? Nancy Pelousy? Joe Hasbin? Bob Eager? Obviously they can't run Hellery Clinton again, so those wonderful folks who brought you "Hillary 2016" last night floated a trial balloon -- a large one -- for a run by one of the World's Richest Women. She war born in the USA -- no "birther" problem there -- on the wrong side of the tracks (check) and is 100% black, not just black-when-necessary-but-not-necessarily-black, like the last Democrat to occupy the Oval Office.

Oprah is also a certified ["certifiable"? Ed.] gliberal, with hyuge media exposure, just like the other one... Whoopie something-or-other. She's also a member of one of America's most bullied minorities -- the chronically overweight. Of course she's never held elected office, but just over a year ago President Trump proved that needn't be a hindrance. In fact, in an interview with Larry King some years ago, The Donald said Ms Winfrey was a great woman, yada yada yada, and might make a good running mate for Himself.

The idea of Oprah Winfrey running for the presidensity sounds to me like a Hollywood liberal dream. I watched the enraptured crowd at the Golden Globes [I always thought that referred to part of a leading lady's anatomy. Ed.] last night, and that's what I saw -- the Hollywood liberal establishment. Lots of (((Jews))) (but no (((Harvey Weinstein)))) and lots of empowered women, but almost no persons of colour (that I could see) or California Republicans (an endangered species).

The people practically wetting themselves when the heavily bespectacled Queen of Spades ["Queen of Daytime TV", shurely! Ed.] started ranting about revolution are the same people who told Americans to vote for Hellery Clinton, and threatened to move to Canada if she lost. She did; they didn't. That's all ye know and all ye need to know.

Don't know where this one (above) originated, but I saw it on Blazing Cat Fur, always good for a laugh at the lefties' expense.

New search for MH370 - Walt's advice on how to get answers

Malaysian Airlines flight MH370, a Boeing B-777, vanished into thin air -- or deep water -- on 8 March 2014, on a flight from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing. 227 pas and 12 crew members were on board, and are presumed dead after a 22-month search of a large chunk of the Indian Ocean failed to find the lost plane or any trace of it.

I followed the story closely, from its beginning -- see "MH370: Three guesses from Walt", WWW 14/3/14 -- until the search was ended in December 2016: "'Experts' admit looking in the wrong place for MH370", WWW 20/12/16. And I was among the first to put forward the suggestions that (a) the plane went down far from where the "experts" theorized, and (b) its disappearance was not unrelated to activities at the US military base on Diego Garcia. See "MH370: 1 + 3 = ??? Walt puts two possibilities together", WWW 19/3/14.

Conspiracy theory? You damn betcha! Just because it's a theory doesn't mean there was no conspiracy. All it means is that there's no proof!

But proof may yet be found. Today, Malaysia's government announced that it has approved a new attempt to find the wreckage of MH370. Earlier this week, an American company called Ocean Infinity sent a search vessel to have another look for debris in the southern Indian Ocean. Malaysian Transport Minister Liow Tiong Lai said the company, which is working on a "no find, no fee" basis, "are willing to search the area of 25,000 square kilometers (9,653 square miles) pointed out by the expert group near the Australian waters." He did not offer further details.

The company itself said in a statement that the search vessel Seabed Constructor left the South African port of Durban -- take note of that -- on Tuesday, and was taking advantage of favourable weather to move toward "the vicinity of the possible search zone". But where is that, exactly? The first search, from the surface of the Indian Ocean, covered an area of several million square miles west of Australia. The subsequent underwater search mapped 710,000 square kilometers (274,000 square miles) of seabed at depths of up to 6,000 meters, slightly to the west of the initial search area. As Walt predicted, nothing was found. (Lifetime pct .988.)

However... this is where it gets interesting... some debris was found, on Réunion Island and off the coast of Moçambique and South Africa, 1000s of miles away from where the "experts" were looking, on the other side of the Indian Ocean. Here is a nice neat map showing the locations from which debris has been recovered.

How did the bits and pieces, identified specifically on the map, get so far from where the "experts" thought the plane had gone down after (they hypothesized) running out of fuel? Let's look once again at Walt's not-so-nice-and-neat diagram of the ocean currents which likely carried the debris to the south-western shores of the Indian Ocean.

This is the fourth time I've published this map. The first time was in "Current thinking on MH370", on 31 July 2015! (I used it again in "Piece of MH370 engine cover washes up on South African shore", WWW 23/3/16 and "Wreckage on shores of WESTERN Indian Ocean IS from MH370", WWW 24/3/16.)

I've drawn in the location of three major ocean currents -- the Moçambique, Aquinas and South Equatorial currents -- as well as the location of Diego Garcia, a small island leased by the USA from the British and the site of a huge American military establishment. There is some evidence of a sighting of a large airplane with red and blue stripes low in the sky near the Maldives -- due north of Diego Garcia, in the path of the South Equatorial current. See "MH370 - Just fancy that!", WWW 18/12/14. Now then...

My theory is that MH370 was shot down or brought down by some other type of weapon -- a laser beam or interference with the plane's onboard computer -- by persons or forces unknown (not necessarily American, you understand), for reasons only they know, somewhere in the vicinity of Diego Garcia. The wreckage then drifted west and south with the ocean currents named above, with bits of it washing ashore at the points shown on the nice map.

The logical place to search -- as I've been saying for well over three years -- would be around Diego Garcia. Since that's still a pretty large area to cover, especially nearly four years after the fact, I have an even better suggestion. Since the disappearance of MH370, the US of A has had a change of administration. Some of the "mistakes" of the Prez and his Secretary of State Hellery Clinton -- like the Libya debacle -- are coming to light. I suggest that the Malaysian authorities ask President Trump to order an investigation into what the US military knows about the disappearance of MH370. My guess is that if they didn't do it, they know who did!

VIDEO: Poor Len: Habs' carrots not quite cooked yet

Poor Len here, barely able to contain myself after last night's excellent game between the Montréal Canadiens and the Tampa Bay Lightning, in le Centre Bell, the Vatican of hockey, in Montréal. When the two teams last met, in Florida a week ago, the Lightning had no trouble beating the Habs, who scored only one goal.

In fact, in their last five games prior to last night's encounter, les Glorieux managed only four goals, a goals-per-game average of 0.80. You don't win many games that way, even if you do have the world's best goaltender between the pipes, and it was beginning to look to YVT and many other fans as if the Habs' carrots were cooked, for this season at least. [Readers baffled by that idiom may e-mail Walt at the usual address, and all will be explained. Ed.]

Every Tim Hortons, every pub in Montréal and across Canada -- excepting Toronto which doesn't count -- is alive with discussions and debates about what to do. Trade rumours abound. References to the parentage of Montréal General Manager Marc Bergevin are heard. Complaints about the performance of certain players are rife, none more loud and nasty than those about Habs captain Max Pacioretty. That Mad Max is an American who can't learn to speak French has not helped his cause.

Last night, however, Pacioretty redeemed himself, temporarily at least, scoring the Canadiens' first goal (and only) goal of regulation time, early in the 2nd period, on a beautiful pass from Phillip Danault. TB scored the equalizer about a minute later. Both goalies, Carey Price and TB's Alexandre Vasilevskiy, were in top form, and so the game remained tied 1-1 until the final siren.

Five minutes of three-on-three overtime ensued. That the score remained 1-1 was due almost entirely to the heroics of Carey Price as seen in this short video.

That is what I call a "Gump Worsley save". Fans of the late, great (and funny) goalie, who played some of his best hockey for the Habs, will know what I mean. With no result in the overtime, the teams went to a shootout, in which Montréal's Paul Byron potted the only goal. Final score: Montréal 2 - Tampa Bay 1!

Is it possible that la Sainte Flannelle, which turned in a huge effort born of desperation, can play like that for another 40 or 41 games? Frankly, I doubt it. But at least the flame of hope has not yet been extinguished.

Egyptian singer arrested for this obscene (?) VIDEO

Leila Amer is a popular Egyptian singer. Now she faces punishment under Egypt's Islamic laws after this video was posted online.

بص امك ليلى عامر قنبلة الموسم جديد

"Boss Oumek", which I guess is included somewhere in the Arabic text above, has been condemned by critics as "an attack on society". Egyptian prosecutors arrested Ms Amer and detained her for four days for "incitement to debauchery". According to the Times of London, the lawyer who filed a complaint against her told a local newspape the video was a "moral disaster" and a "great risk" to Egypt. "These works represent an attack on society and the destruction of the state," he said, "[Egypt] being an Islamic country."

Walt confesses to having watched "Boss Oumek" (= "Look at Your Mother") several times. [How many? Ed. How long since your last confession?] For the life of me, all I can see is a man watching a belly dancer and then (apparently) fantasizing about having her whipping up something in the kitchen, with another woman who may be her mother... or his mother... who knows....

Egyptian prosecutors say Ms Amer is making obscene gestures with her hands. Maybe you have to be able to read Arabic sign language. As for me, I don't get it.

Note from Ed.: I am really going to have to speak to Walt about avoiding occasions of sin, and posting videos which might lead some of our readers astray. This is not the first time he's ordered me to put up a video of a sexy Arab girl. See (and I do mean SEE) "كليب سيب ايدى المثير كامل سلمى الفولى بدون قطع ! SCANDALOUS VIDEO", WWW 29/6/15
