Latest iteration of the Pride flag

The Babylon Bee (who else?) reports that the LGBTQ2S+++ lobby has added the monkeypox symbol to the Pride Flag in honour of their ever-evolving movement for freedom and equity. 

States of emergency have been declared in both California (where else?) and New York, and the World Health Organization (who else) has declared the outbreak, which has been noted most in Western countries with large populations of "men who have sex with men" [We don't use the H-word any more. Ed.], a "public health emergency".

No-one has died from the loathsome disease so far, but at least we have another crisis.

Canuck newspaper apologizes for printing flag on Canada Day

Canada's government and its lamestream media have earned a reputation for extreme liberal wussiness, pandering to every minority "cause" and ignoring Canada's white native sons and daughters. The TDS, BLM, LGBTQ2S propaganda machine has been in overdrive this year. Dare we hope that running about the red line [Nice pun! Ed.] will cause the machine to burn out? Perhaps not!

"Down East" (as Canadians call their maritime provinces), the population is still mainly white, English-speaking or French-speaking, and heterosexual. But Maritimers are a friendly lot, and typically Canadian when it comes to saying "Sorry!" and apologizing for themselves. Still, many Haligonians (denizens of Halifax) must have been shocked, shocked to see this "trigger warning" across the front page of the Halifax Chronicle-Herald this past Saturday.

Can't believe your eyes? Yep, it says: "To our readers: inside today's edition, on page A9, you'll find a Canadian flag to clip and post to help celebrate July 1. We understand the flag doesn't mean the same thing to everyone, however, we hope our readers recognize their ability to play a role in shaping Canada's future is a freedom worth acknowledging."

The flag then appears on page A9, well inside the first section of the alleged newspaper.

The flag, with its stylized maple leaf, has been a source of pride for Canadians since it was adopted in 1965. Will it soon become like the Confederate Battle Flag, vilified for symbolozing racism, colonialism, white supremacy and all the other evils that the liberals their controlled media see in our society? Must it be taken down -- or, better, burned -- lest it offend some snowflake who feels entitled to reparations for wrongs done a century ago? It's sad that the question should even be asked.

Trudeau Liberals promise new flag for Canada

This coming October, Canadians will go to the polls to elect a new federal government. Or, the Liberal Party hopes, to re-elect Just In Trudeau and his government of useful idiots, in spite of everything.

But with opinion polls trending downwards for the libbies, they will have to raise their game -- promotion of "inclusivity", gender ideology, and Islamization of Canada -- to new levels. Some kind of gimmick is needed, beyond opening the border to 1000s of "refugees" and asylum-seekers, aka instant Liberal voters. Walt's mole in the PMO (Prime Minister's Office) says they've come up with something truly brilliant.

This coming June will see the 55th anniversary of the adoption of the now hugely popular maple leaf flag that replaced the British Red Ensign if the bad old colonial days. 55. If you say 5-5 in Thai, it's "ha-ha". So Mr Socks' minions are planning a nice "ha-ha" for the Canadian people. It's a brand new flag, which will properly symbolize the diversity which is the theme and hallmark of Mr T's new "post-national state". As well, it will show that Canadians welcome all the new Muslim immigrants, no matter what the lying opinion polls say. Here's the new design.

There now. Isn't that just what the imam ordered. You've got everybody represented: gays, trannies, feminists, Muslims, and even real Canadians. See the little maple leaf? Perfect! The bill to replace the old maple leaf flag with the brilliant new rainbow banner is expected to be tabled in Parliament any day now. What could go wrong?

Note from Ed.: I didn't have time to talk to a second source for this report, but it sounds plausible to me, given the track record of Canada's Liberal Party, so I'm going with it!

Teddy Roosevelt on screening immigrants for American values

Donald Trump is the only candidate for the presidency calling for the screening of potential immigrants for willingness to accept and adapt to American values. In the din of the yelling about racism and Islamophobia, let's not forget that the notion that those who want to immigrate should be prepared to assimilate has been around for well over a century. Here's a quote from a letter written by US President Theodore Roosevelt to the American Defense Society in 1909.

We should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the man's becoming in very fact an American, and nothing but an American....

There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag, and this excludes the red flag, which symbolizes all wars against liberty and civilization, just as much as it excludes any foreign flag of a nation to which we are hostile.... We have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people.
