VIDEO: Elon Musk speaks his mind to Babylon Bee - FULL INTERVIEW

Yes, really! Not a joke. Elon Musk sat down with Babylon Bee CEO Seth Dillon, Editor-in-Chief Kyle Mann, and Creative Director Ethan Nicolle for an in-depth interview on wokeness, Elizabeth Warren, taxing the rich, the Metaverse, which superhero Elon would be, and how the left is killing comedy.

This is the full interview with 45 additional minutes of content (total time 1:39:46). Turns out Elon Musk isn't one of the Wokesters. He can also be quite funny.

Don't chide me for giving you the YouTube link. The good people at Babylon Bee (you'll see some of them during the video) will get some money from YT when you watch.

Footnote from Poor Len Canayen: Bet you didn't know Elon Musk is a Canadian citizen, and went to college in Canada! And now he's a rich American. Dat's all ye know and all  ye need to know!

From the Onion: PLEASE JUST MAKE IT STOP!

Ed. here. Walt is still MIA, but sent a URL which led to the following short piece in The Onion, which I have edited to remove an egregious bit of blasphemy.

Claiming that they just couldn’t stand this bullshit anymore, Americans across the country confirmed Friday that someone, anyone needs to please, just make it stop. “Please, please, please, we’re begging you here, just put an end to it immediately,” said sources, noting that it had all gone way, way too far and they would do almost anything for even a few glorious minutes of respite. “We’re on our hands and knees, pleading with you to make it all go away once and for all. What’s it going to take? Just stop it! Stop it right now!” At press time, sources confirmed that they knew deep down it was never going to stop.

Anti-Trump fake news (and other BS) - MAKE IT STOP!

You've seen it, right... the cover of the upcoming issue of TIME which implies... strongly... that President Trump is singlehandedly and personally responsible for tearing a two-year-old toddler from the arms of her illegal immigrant mother? Did you see the one on the left, from the June 16th Daily News, which makes the same point rather less subtly.

The Washington Post and the Clinton News Network were quick to lavish praise on TIME's cover design when it was released yesterday, calling it "powerful" and "resonant". CNN had a long article in which the writer raved that the cover "shows the compassion gap that exists between the Trump administration's 'zero-tolerance' border policy and the real-life people that are affected."

Unfortunately for the (((controlled media))) in general and TIME in particular, CBS News actually did a little fact-checking, reporting today that one of the border agents who encountered the girl and her mother told them [CBS] that little Yanela Denise was crying due to thirst and lack of sleep. "We were patrolling the border. It was after 10 o'clock at night," border agent Carlos Ruiz said. "We asked her to set the kid down in front of her, not away from her, she was right in front of her...so we can properly search the mother. So the kid immediately started crying as she set her down. I personally went up to the mother and asked her 'Are you doing OK? Is the kid OK?' and she said, 'Yes. She's tired and thirsty. It's 11 o'lock at night."

But wait (as Vince Offer used to say), there's more. The border agent said the little girl and her mother were together... right? Right. And that's the way the girl's father tells it too! Other meeja types caught up with Denis Javier Varela Hernandez, who was still in the family's native Honduras. He told them he'd learned that his daughter and her mother weren't separated at all, but detained at a facility in Texas.

Sandra Sanchez, the girl's mother, had previously been deported to Honduras in 2013. According to Mr Hernandez, she left without telling him she was taking Yanela with her and he was unable to contact her. Then he saw the picture on the news. "You can imagine how I felt when I saw that photo of my daughter," he told the UK's Daily Mail. "It broke my heart. It's difficult as a father to see that, but I know now that they are not in danger. They are safer now than when they were making that journey to the border."

Today TIME admitted they'd blotted their copybook in this "correction":

But, TIME said in a lightning-fast reverse, "The June 12 photograph of the 2-year-old Honduran girl became the most visible symbol of the ongoing immigration debate in America for a reason. Under the policy enforced by the administration, prior to its reversal this week, those who crossed the border illegally were criminally prosecuted, which in turn resulted in the separation of children and parents. Our cover and our reporting capture the stakes of this moment." So that's all right, then.

"Callous. Soulless. Craven." Yes indeed, lovers of liberty everywhere. Trump is a monster. That's what TIME and the rest of the lamestream media would have you think, and they've been hammering away at that theme every blessed day since Mr Trump was elected. It doesn't matter what POTUS says or does because it's evil, pure evil, all the time. And that goes for his family too, as witness the hoorah over what was written on the back of Melania Trump's coat when she went to visit the holding facilities in TX to see for herself if all the fuss is justified. The New York Times headlined (((Vanessa Friedman's))) piece, "Melania Trump, Agent of Coat Chaos".

Dear readers, arentcha getting sick, sore and tired of the endless negativity, the ceaseless bashing and trashing of President Trump, his family and all his works? Watching or listening to the "news" on any outlet except Fox (or Canada's The Rebel) makes me want to SCREAM. So it was that I was delighted to read the following "report" on The Onion, yesterday. I quote their earnest plea for an end to all this in its entirety, except for one edit to delete a blasphemous (but common) expression of exasperation. Couldn't have said it better myself.

Claiming that they just couldn't stand this bullshit anymore, Americans across the country confirmed Thursday that someone, anyone needs to please, just make it stop. "Please, please, please, we're begging you here, just put an end to it immediately," said sources, noting that it had all gone way, way too far and they would do almost anything for even a few glorious minutes of respite. "We're on our hands and knees, pleading with you to make it all go away once and for all. What's it going to take? [Blasphemy deleted], just stop it! Stop it right now!" At press time, sources confirmed that they knew deep down it was never going to stop.

Canucks erect statue honouring That Guy from That Show

Walt is occasionally accused of making fun of Canadians, those adorable frost-backed creatures from north of the World's Longest (and Most Porous) Border. But trust me, just as fish feel no pain when you take the hook out of their mouths, Canucks don't mind being the butt of jokes about how they speak or how naïve they are. One of the nice things about them, compared with their "cousins" to the south is that they don't take themselves seriously. If you don't believe me, follow the antics of Prime Minister Dress-up for a few months, and you'll see.

As proof, we offer the following article, written by Meg MacKay, which appeared recently on the "Comedy" page of the Canadian Broadcorping Castration website, under the headline: "Statue erected for beloved Canadian actor 'that guy from that show'".

To honour 20 years of That Actor Guy appearing in Canadian Entertainment, a statue has been erected in downtown Toronto.

"We really want to celebrate That Guy's contribution to Canadian culture," a spokesperson said. "He was great on that show that was probably about cops, the High School one, that TV movie about World War One or Two, and also that American movie where he played an Irish dude for like, seven seconds."

"We don't think he was in the High School one," said another spokesperson. "We think that was That Other Guy who is in a Band Now."

Other notable credits for That Guy include "A Cop Movie Where It's Supposed to be in New York but the CN Tower is Clearly Visible in Every Exterior Shot", "That Horse Show That's Set in Nebraska but is Obviously Sudbury", and most famously, "A Sci-Fi Reboot that is Meant to be Future Detroit but All the Cars Have Nova Scotia License Plates."

The statue depicts the man in his signature role, "Loveable Man in Rural Town That's Either in Saskatchewan or Newfoundland", where he played a hard-done-by dad and/or son and/or police officer. It will broadcast a Wifi signal, so passersby can Google whether or not he's the guy they were thinking of.

"I've been a huge fan of this guy for a long time," said a man who was either on a CBC show in the '90s, or is a Former Politician. "Although honestly, I saw him on the street one time and I couldn't remember if he was a famous Canadian actor or someone I lost touch with from college."

"We are all so proud of what he's done for the visibility and notoriety of Canadian artists," said an actress who might be the guy's wife or possibly his sister. The actress also might have co-featured with him in a recent Christmas movie starring a disgraced member of the band 98 Degrees.

A ribbon-cutting and statue unveiling event is scheduled for later this month. The event boasts live musical performances from A Band You Really Liked in High School, as well as That Band Who Does that Song Your Mom Always Sings Wrong. Featured speakers are An Olympian From the 90s, a Well-Respected 30- or 40- year Veteran Stand-Up Comic, and Don Cherry.

"It feels great to be recognized for all the work I've done," said John or Don or whatever his name is. "I look forward to using this credit to get my visa so I can move to the States."

Walt commends Meg MacKay (is that a Canuck name or what?!) for a fine piece, and recommends that she submit something to The Onion, where more than a dozen people might read it.

The Onion explains American reaction to Brexit

I've never reposted in toto anything from the Onion [Well, hardly ever. Ed.] but couldn't resist this very witty piece, headed "Americans Confused By System Of Government In Which Leader Would Resign After Making Terrible Decision".

In the wake of Prime Minister David Cameron’s announcement that he would leave office following the United Kingdom’s vote to exit the European Union, tens of millions of Americans expressed their confusion to reporters Friday about a system of government in which a leader would resign after making a terrible decision.

“Wait, so he made a really awful choice with far-reaching negative consequences and now he’s just stepping down to let someone else take over? What?” said Colorado Springs, CO resident Evan Austin, echoing the sentiments of citizens across the United States who were left struggling to understand why a democratically elected head of government would relinquish control simply because they had been shown to have made a spectacularly bad judgment call.

“So he jeopardized the future of his country, and instead of spending the next several years remaining in power while trying to paper over his mistakes, he’s just gone? Where’s the part where he denies any wrongdoing or tries to blame somebody else? This is absolutely crazy.” The American public noted, however, that they completely understood the part where voters who had made a demonstrably terrible decision continued to double down on it.

Seems the Brits themselves were confused before, during and after Thursday's vote to leave the European Union. Top question of google.uk: "What's the EU?" Ah democracy, ain't it grand? But as Churchill said -- paraphrasing here -- bad as it is, it's better than the alternatives.

Memo to the publishers of The Onion from Ed.: Don't lawyer up and threaten to sue Walt, because: (1) We gave you credit and printed the link. (2) We're not making any money out of WWW. (3) Walt doesn't have any money anyway, except maybe his UK pension, which is now worthless.
