Waiting for the 8th - Who's REALLY running America?

Until today, Walt hadn't heard of MassResistance, a national pro-family activist group. A quick scan of the website was enough for me to bookmark it, and I'll probably be getting involved, as they seem to be solidly on the right side. [Geddit? Ed.] 

Brian Cameker, the executive director of MassResistance, and recently wrote "Who has really been running our country?", published yesterday in American Thinker. Since it's so close to Tuesday's mid-term elections, we trust they won't mind our reposting it, in full, without asking first. The emphasis is mine. 

On the day that Joe Biden was sworn into office, he signed dozens of extensively radical executive orders. Then the Biden administration began populating the federal government and the federal Judiciary — including the new Supreme Court vacancy — with hundreds (probably thousands) of the most extreme anti-American people imaginable.

The administration has re-crafted an enormous number of laws and regulations — often illegally — to push the hard-left, woke, LGBT agendas throughout business, government, education, and society in general. U.S. foreign policy, including the hideous abandonment in Afghanistan and unhinged Ukrainian response, has clearly been coordinated to weaken America and strengthen our enemies. Our military is being emasculated — and proselytized to consider patriotic Americans as the enemy.

The Biden administration ignores our immigration laws and welcomes millions of illegal aliens to swarm across our southern border, and then methodically ships them to cities across the country (and even gives them cell phones to use).

The administration's aggressive "green new deal" is paralyzing our transportation system and causing crippling inflation never seen in this country before. Federal agencies, spearheaded by the Justice Department and FBI, have viciously become weaponized against conservatives, at the same time allowing "Antifa" and other left-wing hoodlum groups to terrorize citizens at will.

As many have observed, it's a controlled demolition of America.

All of this destruction is being attributed by our political establishment to a man with obvious dementia who can barely read through a single sentence on a teleprompter, can't remember names, and cannot discuss anything of substance.

Republicans and conservatives love to beat up on Joe Biden. It makes great campaign fundraising rhetoric. But nobody can possibly believe that Biden in his perpetual mental fog actually planned any of this, wrote any of it, ordered it, or even knows any details about it.

And let's not forget that Biden became president not by actually campaigning, but through a massively coordinated effort involving billions of dollars and the most powerful corporations and political organizers in America to subvert the U.S. election process.

No prominent Republican politician is willing to publicly ask — and demand answers to — the obvious question: who is really doing all of this, using Biden as a mindless front man?

And why should they? Biden is a great political punching bag. Bringing up the hard question could have uncomfortable consequences — especially in this political climate.

This is not conjecture. A friend of mine who is involved in D.C. political circles had the opportunity this past year to ask that question — who is really running the country? — to a Republican congressman and a U.S. senator, both prominent conservatives. Both of them nervously dodged the question and insisted that "taking on Joe Biden" is what the GOP needs to do.

So who is the power behind the curtain? A lot of people say it's Barack Obama, or maybe Susan Rice. But the truth is that neither of them is capable of orchestrating something on this scale. Obama never really got anywhere on his own, and Susan Rice is a middleweight at best.

This has all the fingerprints of the Soros organization. The people there are extremely intelligent and proficient, they passionately hate America, they've been leading up to this for several decades, and they have access to untold wealth and influence. Everything mentioned above is something they are more than capable of organizing and carrying out.

But most of this couldn't have been accomplished during Biden's first two years without the cooperation of the 50 Democrat U.S. senators and the Democrat majority in the House. And then there are the cowardly Republicans in both houses, including the leadership, who consistently put up a "gentlemanly" fight that is destined to lose.

Right now, job number one is openly exposing the "shadow government" that is really running America, and doing everything possible to drive them completely out. Seeing what is happening now (and learning from the past), it is not an exaggeration to say that we are all on a freight train headed to hell. If we don't derail it soon, there will eventually be no turning back.

Every single American who wants to bring sanity, order and prosperity back to the country needs to get out and vote on Tuesday! I'll see you on the beach.

Biden picks Black(ish) woman as running mate

It's official! Slow Joe Biden has done what was expected, nay demanded, and chosen a woman of colour [not "person" of colour? Ed.] as his running mate for the 2020 election.

She is Kamala Devi Harris, born on October 20, 1964, in Oakland CA. What follows is based on the Wikipedia article about her. Read on and learn why any comparison with Rachel Dolezal, a white woman who made false claims about being black, is odious and, errr, racist.

Ms Harris's mother, Shyamala Gopalan, emigrated from India in 1960 to pursue a doctorate in endocrinology at UC Berkeley. Her father, Donald Harris, is a Stanford University Emeritus Professor of Economics, who emigrated from Jamaica in 1961 for graduate study in economics at UC Berkeley. So much that is absolutely right... make that left... in the Excited States of America comes out of Berkeley.

Ms Harris self-identifies as African-American -- the lamestream media are already adding "and Asian-American too!" -- and "considers her experience to be American." She spent her early years Berkeley, where she grew up going to a black Baptist church and a Hindu temple. And her parents divorced when she was seven. How American is that!

She and her sister visited their mother's family in India. They also used to visit their father in Palo Alto CA on weekends, where neighbours' kids were not allowed to play with them because they were black.

When she was 12, Ms Harris and her sister moved with their mother to Montréal, Canada, where one presumes the family found more acceptance than in the other CA. Ms Harris was a popular student at the English-language high school in the toney Anglo enclave of Westmount, from which she graduated in 1981. She went on to Howard University, a private, federally chartered "historically black" university in Washington DC, from which she received a B.A. in political science and economics in 1986.

After interning with Senator Alan Cranston (D-CA), Ms Harris earned her J.D. from the Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco, and passed the bar of California in 1990. She was immediately hired as a deputy district attorney in Alameda County CA, where she was noted as being "an able prosecutor on the way up." Or perhaps she was going down.

By 1994, Ms Harris had entered into a relationship with Willie Lewis Brown Jr., a Democratic politician who became Speaker of the California Assembly, the first African-American to hold that office. It was he who appointed Ms Harris to the state Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board and later the California Medical Assistance Commission. Thus the origin of the scurrilous (but factual) meme at the left.

Perhaps we'd better stop there, before we get to the late John Lewis. De mortuis nil nisi bonum. My point is that when you see these snarky memes -- and you'll be seeing a lot of them -- you mustn't assume that they're all "fake news", created by anti-black racists and/or Republicans. Where there's smoke, etc.

That said, Ms Harris ticks all the right boxes on the Democrats' checklist. She's a woman, although evidently heterosexual. And she's Black, or brown, or at least non-white. She's from immigrant stock, but not the kind that came over on the Mayflower. She's from California, so that locks up both the la-la-liberals and the Hollywood liberals. She doesn't have the political baggage of Susan Rice.

And did I already say she's black(ish)? But... this is key... she doesn't look or sound as black as, say, Lori Lightfoot, Keisha Bottoms or Stacey Abrams. How could Sleepy Joe have done any better?!

VIDEO: Tucker Carlson looks at Biden's possible running mates

Today we have Tucker Carlson, with the lowdown on the assorted black women who are under consideration to support Joe Biden on the Democratic ticket. According to Mr Carlson, Sleepy Joe would be nuts to consider any of them... except one, whose name just came to the fore this weekend. Who could it be? Check this out...

Memo to Obama: Afghanistan is over! We lost!

While Walt was wondering what to make of the swap of one (1) American deserter for five (5) top Taliban commanders, something else happened. This weekend, five American servicemen were killed in Afghanistan...apparently by members of the Afghan armed forces.

An official statement of the so-called "international coalition" called the killings a "friendly fire" incident. Walt takes this to mean that the killers were not the dreaded Taliban or al-Qaeda, but the very people the US occupying forces are there to serve and protect. America's friends, you might say...or not. After all, with friends like that...

This latest demonstration of the folly of leaving American troops in the sandpit even one day longer comes hard on the heels of Obama's Rose Garden "victory lap" in celebration of the 5-for-1 prisoner swap. Woohoo, sez the Prez, we brought home this courageous hero who was "captured on the battlefield" after serving with "honour and distinction". [Actually it was Susan Rice who said that. Ed.]

OK, Susan Rice said it. But Obama told a war-weary nation that even though he was going to leave some 10,000 American soldiers in the line of (friendly) fire for another couple of years, they need not fear being left behind! Unless of course they're dead, in which case they'll be brought home in body bags -- still not left behind!

The controversy surrounding the Bergdahl deal is not about one confused and reluctant soldier. (Bergdahl flitted around with ballet and Buddhism before joining the army, but became disillusioned with the invasion of Afghanistan about 90 seconds after arriving there.) Rather it is about President Hussein Obama, his foreign policy in general and his conduct of the war in particular.

The prisoner swap represents -- or should represent -- a moment of truth for all Americans, including Susan Rice, Chuck Hagel and the Prez himself. The war is over. America lost. Again. In 2016, unless a new president [Hellery Clinton? Ed.] extends the mission again, the Americans will finally leave. Afghanistan will remain as it was -- a benighted wasteland of warring tribes. The expenditure of billions of dollars and tens of thousands of lives will have been for naught -- a total (and criminal) waste.

Kerry for State Secy? Really??!!

Yesterday, the Prez nominated Sen. John Kerry to replace the departing Secretary of State, Hellery Clinton. Another triumph for political correctness and the Democratic Party.

Of course Obama could have done better. Kerry was not his first choice. He really wanted to appoint a black woman, viz. Susan Rice. If Ms Rice had only been disabled or a lesbian, the Prez could have hit the Trifecta there.

Sadly, Ms Rice blotted her copybook by her inept handling of State's reaction to the Benghazi "incident" -- the terrorist attack that she tried to pass off as a protest against an insensitive video. If she had told the truth, Obama wouldn't have had to tell a lie -- so goes the reasoning -- thus she must walk the plank.

That leaves us with Kerry, the former Democratic presidential candidate who couldn't manage to defeat the most-reviled Republican since Herbert Hoover.

Kerry's chief qualification, according to Obama, is that he won't need "much" on-the-job training. That's because he's been doing dippy [= diplomatic. Ed.] stuff for decades, and knows how all that unpleasantness should be handled. Right?

Errr, maybe not. Did John Kerry learn anything from his OTJ training in the Philippines in 1986? Then and there, Senator Kerry was a member of the US Congressional observer team sent to monitor the country's presidential election, in which Corazon Aquino was trying to oust the thoroughly corrupt orifice, Ferdinand Marcos.

P.J. O'Rourke happened to be present at the Thrilla in Manila. [Wasn't that something else? Ed.] Here's what he wrote in Rolling Stone.
Most of the Potomac Parakeets were a big disappointment. Massachusetts senator John Kerry was a founding member of the Vietnam Veterans Against the War, but he was a bath toy in this fray.

On Sunday night...thirty of the computer operators from [the elections oversight commission] walked off the job, protesting that vote figures were being juggled. Aquino supporters...took the operators, most of them young women, to a church, and hundreds of people formed a protective barrier around them. One of Cory Aquino's top aides [went] to the Manila Hotel.... She came back with Kerry, who did nothing.

Kerry later said that he didn't talk to the COMELEC employees then because he wasn't allowed to. This is ridiculous. He was ushered into an area that had been cordoned off from the press and the crowd and where the computer operators were stitting. To talk to the women, all he would have had to do was raise his voice.... But all Kerry did was walk around like a male model in a concerned and thoughtful pose.

Aha! Exactly the kind of posturing required of a Secretary of State! What O'Rourke condemns is what Obama sees as the best of all qualifications -- the ability to look concerned but do nothing.
Not much on-the-job training required. Indeed. Just the guy we want!
