Speaking of anti-social behaviour and the decline (and imminent fall!) of American society, we repost this video of an outbreak of feral negritude in a typical Democrat-run American city.
If you're the fourth monkey (see previous post), you probably think nothing of it [or think nothing. Period. Ed.], but, if I can have your attention -- take your eyes off the damn phone! -- for just a second... this is race war, an attack by black yoofs on white tourists.
This is neither an isolated incident nor a recent phenomenon. You don't believe me? Try driving into the black-only no-go zones you'll find in virtually every American city. It's like the scene in National Lampoon's Vacation where the Griswolds take the wrong exit and wind up in the ghetto.
What is to be done to protect ourselves -- decent, law-abiding citizens -- from these alleged people? The answer may be found here.

War is Africa's natural condition. Can we change that?
Since the end of the colonial era, there has always been war in Africa. With one or two exceptions, such as Botswana, you can't point to a map of sub-Saharan Africa without finding a country that has at some point been wracked by riot, revolution, war or even genocide. It's the nature of the people -- emotional, excitable, easily led and predisposed to mindless and horrendous violence. I know it's politically incorrect to say that, but read the histories of Liberia, Ghana, Nigeria, Moçambique, both Congos, South Africa -- the list goes on -- and see if that's not right. Check out How De Body by Dutch journalist Teun Voeten (St. Martin's Press, New York, 2002) for a graphic description of how things were in Sierra Leone in the 1990s. We'll come back to that book in another post.
Right now there's a "civil" war going on in the Congo which was formerly known as Zaïre and has its capital at Kinshasa. The government's writ runs only in the capital region. The rest of the country is divided amongst a number of cruel and evil warlords, fighting for control of the immense mineral wealth that includes "blood diamonds". In spite of the efforts of United Nations "peacekeepers", the Congo has never, repeat never known peace since it was "liberated" from the Belgians.
In west Africa, most of which was (and in some ways still is) run by the French, another "civil" war rages in Mali. What? Never heard of it? If you've ever been told to go to Timbuktu, well, that's in Mali. You could look it up. That war has racial and religious overtones (surprised?) with the Muslim Arab(ish) north pitted against the Christian/animist African (read: black) south. The UN stepped in to referee that vicious conflict a couple of years ago, and so far hasn't had much luck keeping the combatants from each other's throats.
In June of this year, Canada's loopy prime minister Trudeau, in yet another act of virtue-signalling at the expense of his people, sent a couple of hundred Canadian troops to Mali, where Canada has no dog in the fight but is going to jump in anyway. The Canadian contingent consists of a few helicopters and support crews, whose task is to medevac other UN soldiers who get caught in the crossfire. So far they've flown exactly two (2) missions, both on 9/11.
Yesterday Maj-Gen. Dave Fraser (Retd), who led Canada's troops in the ill-fated Afghanistan mission, admitted on CTV's Power Play that the Canuck peacekeeping mission in Mali has "no prospect of immediate success." He told host Don Martin, "The political overtones and what's going on in this country and this mission are ugly. This is not going to be short mission." No kidding!
Although Mr Socks promised that Canadian soldiers and airmen (not many female troops could be persuaded to go) would not be placed in harm's way, since they would only be flying medical evacuation missions and providing support from the skies, the likelihood of some poor non-com coming home in a body bag is increasing, as the security situation in the shithole has deteriorated sharply in recent months. Says the retired general, "It’s as bad, if not worse, than what we experienced in Afghanistan, Iraq or Syria."
Continuing in mililtary-speak, Maj-Gen. Fraser said, "It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that this mission isn’t going in the right direction from a trajectory point of view." He explained that the key issue is a lack of leadership. Despite no-worse-than-usual elections this summer, he said the insurgents are winning the fight on the ground. That's because "Peacekeeping can't be effective without a strong civilian government leadership that’s running the government, that's actually providing oversight for the military and the police forces and that’s not happening fast enough." For "fast enough", read "at all" and that's all ye need to know.
At the end of the day, the general warned, this hurts some people more than others. In a brilliant statement of the obvious, he said, "The local people are the ones who are going to be adversely affected." Can the problem be solved? Yes, says Maj-Gen. Fraser, if the United Nations changes its approach. "The UN's not getting the locals to get the leadership or the women engaged fast enough, and they're going to lose this race." If nothing changes, he said, the situation can only continue to deteriorate. So the answer to Walt's headline question is, errr, probably not. Which begs the question of what we're doing there!

P.K. Subban and "the politics of the old South"
A soi-disant "journalist" by the name of Joe O'Conner is liberal, progressive, anti-racist, yada yada yada. Naturally he approves of the destruction, in New Orleans and other American cities, of monuments to heroes of the Glorious War of the Secession such as Robert E. Lee. And Nathan Bedford Forrest. Especially Nathan Bedford Forrest, the finest cavalry general on either side of the Civil War and staunch defender of Southern rights during and after the conflict.
There are several statues of General Forrest dotted around the South, especially in his native Tennessee. Some of them are quite handsome, some, errr, not so much. Like this one in Nashville, sculpted by Jack Kershaw, professional lawyer and amateur artist, which sits on 3.5 acres of privately owned land just off the I-65.
Mr O'Connor (who Walt suspects of being a Canuck, thus having none of his white skin in the American racial conflict) would like to see this and all those other "racist" statues torn down. For reasons unknown, the normally sensible National Post decided to give him a platform for his SJW rant. But (they must have said), you need some kind of Canadian hook for the piece. What could be more natural, then, than to put some words in the mouth of Pernell Karl Subban, a Canadian hockey player who toils -- allegedly playing defence -- for the Nashville Predators. Mr Subban is black. As the Showboat himself told ESPN, "I know I'm black. Everybody knows I'm black."
Turned out P.K. didn't have anything to say about the Forrest statue, or at least didn't give a quote to Mr O'Connor for "P.K. Subban faces off against the politics of the Old South still on display in Tennessee", National Post, 9/6/17. So for a tie-in, the "writer" could do no better than this: "'I don’t want to be defined as a black hockey player.' [That's from the ESPN quote.] It is an admirable wish. What makes it especially compelling, in the Nashville context...here is Subban, a Canadian, a child of Caribbean immigrants from a diverse city (Toronto) bedazzling Predators fans and potentially winning a Stanley Cup in an arena that is about a 20-minute drive from one of the most vile Confederate monuments in the great state of Tennessee."
To which a Post reader by the name of Jason Williams comments: "We define him as a black hockey player, because he has similar mannerisms and personality traits of other black athletes. Showboating, image-conscious, self-aggrandizing, etc are negative traits what we as a sporting culture are accustomed to seeing in majority-black leagues like the NFL and NBA. This isn't to say he isn't a good PERSON - but the fundamental truth is that his ACTIONS are stereotypically negative ones, associated with black athletes... Which stands out VERY distinctly in what you might as well call a white league."
Which is what Walt's old friend Poor Len Canayen said way back in February of 2014 in "Is P.K. Subban a 'nigger'?"
Tomorrow night the Nashville Predators will be at home to the Pittsburgh Penguins in Game 6 of the National Hockey League (G. Bettman, prop.) Stanley Cup finals. The Penguins lead the series 3 games to 2, so if the Predators lose tomorrow night, they're out. If the Predators should win, and can by some miracle manage to win Game 7, Wednesday night in Pittsburgh (if necessary), Walt think it would be fitting to attach Lord Stanley's silverware to one of General Forrest's outstretched arms. I don't think P.K. Subban would mind.

"We are not as divided as we seem." Right??!!??
Do you believe that? Does anyone believe that? Does even the Prez believe that? Before we all get in a circle and start singing "Kumbaya", let us consider...
The Democrats are divided. Will the Sanderistas really hold their noses and vote for Hellery?
The Republicans are divided. Can Trump find any credible, moderate conservative to be his V-P nominee?
The Catholics are divided. Modernists vs fundamentalists. (Let us pray for those who hold to the Faith of our fathers.)
The Muslims are divided. Or so they claim. "Moderate Muslims" vs Islamic jihadists.
The British are divided. Europhiles vs Eurosceptics (= Brexiteers).
The Europeans are divided. Refugees, asylum-seekers and other immigrants vs white, Christian, native-born.
Everybody 's divided! The LGBTQ2SIetc "community" vs normal (male and female) people. Which toilet should I use??
No matter who you are, or who you think you are, you're being forced, nowadays, to take sides. "We are not divided" is the veriest bullshit!
Walt is reminded of "The Merry Minuet" (popularized by the Kingston Trio, back in the daze).

There's hurricanes in Florida and Texas needs rain
The whole world is festering with unhappy souls
The French hate the Germans
The Germans hate the Poles
Italians hate Yugoslavs
South Africans hate the Dutch
And I don't like anybody very much!
But we can be tranquil and thankful and proud
For man's been endowed
With a mushroom shaped cloud
And we know for certain that some lucky day
Someone will set the spark off
And we will all be blown away!
Walt thinks the spark was set off in Britain on June 23rd, and in America last week. The fire is smoldering, and we will be very lucky to avoid a terrible conflagration.
