What made her/him do it?!

The lickspittle woke media in the USA and around the world are working feverishly today to keep people from drawing any transphobic inferences from today's tragic murder in Minneapolis of two grade-school children by Robert/Robin Westman, an obvious product of the current fad for "transitioning", which we used to call changing your sex.

For those who were absent on another planet, someone who the authorities and media call "Robin" Westman (without referring to her/his gender) opened fire on a church in which students from Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis were attending Mass to celebrate the start of the new school year. Two children, ages 8 and 10, were killed where they sat in the pews. 17 other people were wounded, 14 of them children. Ms/Mr Westman, aged 23, then shot himself behind the church.

The authorities were quick to say that he/she acted alone and are investigating what s/he left behind that would speak to her/his motive. A video timed by Robin/Robert for posting on YouTube at the very moment of the shooting was quickly taken down, lest we think there must have been something wrong with this individual.

We all know there's nothing abnormal about wanting to change your sex, right? Google's AI know-it-all tells us: "Gender transition is the process of affirming and expressing one's internal sense of gender, rather than the sex assigned to them at birth. It is a recommended course of treatment for individuals experiencing gender dysphoria, providing improved mental health outcomes in the majority of people."

Since Robin Westman would appear to be the exception, let's consider what might have led her... or him... whatever... to attempt to change the way God made him to what he was this morning, as shown in this photo, which, unlike those in the mainstream media, hasn't been cropped to hide his lovely fluffy dyed hair.

Robin Westman was born Robert Westman. Citing court records from Dakota County, WaPo reports that his mother, Mary Westman, applied for a name change for her child in 2019 from "Robert Paul Westman" to "Robin M. Westman" -- "M." for "Mary"? -- because her child "identifies as a female and wants her name to reflect that identification."

Let's start, then, with the theory that her mother made her do it. Perhaps she hated her mother, who worked at the school. But there are other possibilities, other people and organizations who may have influenced young Robert to become Robin.

Minneapolis cops say they are investigating the murders as possible "domestic terrorism" and/or "anti-Catholic hate crime". Is it possible that Robert came to hate the Church and all Catholics as the result of some counselling or encounters in the confessional with evil priests of the Father James Martin type so highly regarded by the Mauve Mafia in Rome? Was Robert an altar boy who wanted to become an altar girl to promote more "inclusivity" in the Church?

What did young Robert do in his spare time? Was he perhaps a member of the Boy Scouts? Did he go to drag queen storytime at his local library? Did he play soccer? Or maybe become a male cheerleader for a real football team?

What did he watch on TV? Sesame Street, home of the openly gay (now) Bert and Ernie, not forgetting Tickle Me Elmo?  The Big Bang Theory, which doesn't have a single truly masculine character in the entire cast? How about Queer Eye for the Straight Guy? [I think that's only shown in the UK. Ed.]

Was Robin interested in politics? As we write, a story is breaking that her video manifesto revealed her to be suffering from TDS, and that she wanted to kill President Trump. Was she perhaps influenced in this by Minnesota goverenor Tim Walz, who is suspected of being a bit light in the loafers himself.

Those are just a few innocent questions that occurred to me at sunset on a black day in America. Certain politicians -- Democrats, of course -- are already saying that Republicans and other conservative types dare not use this tragic "isolated incident" to throw shade on the "transgender community". So I predict you won't see such questions asked in the determinedly pro-queer lickspittle media. Everyone will be very busy looking the other way.

VIDEO: Matt Taibbi and Walt talk about Tampon Tim and man stuff

This is a follow-up to "The video challenging 'real men' to vote for Harris", WWW 11/10/24. It seems that the Awalz part of the Dumbocrat campaign is tasked with bringing in the vote of "real men" -- blue-collar workers with hairy chests and sweaty balls. Joe Sixpack, the Marlboro Man, Dirty Harry -- those guys. That was what that "Man enough" ad was all about.

Now there's another one, produced by the same people, called "And Tim", featuring Tampon Timmy Walz, the Great Manly Hunter. It's even funnier than the previous one, and in this vlog, Matt Taibbi and Walter Kim [no relation to Walt Whiteman. Ed.] explain why.  It's a looooong video, but after five minutes you'll want to watch the whole thing.

I wondered, as I watched it, if there's something wrong (physically) with Matt Taibbi. (His mental acuity is obviously fine.) I stopped following MT when he wrote Smells Like Dead Elephants, but have started paying attention again now that he has come over to our side.

I note that Mr Taibbi is wearing a baseball cap, and his voice sounds kinda shaky. I wonder if he is suffering from some disease. Could be cancer. Chemotherapy would cause him to lose his hair. Or, given his sexual orientation, it could be HIV-AIDS. Hmmm. I wouldn't wish such things on anyone, and wish Matt a good recovery from whatever's ailing him.

"No Liberal bias here, folks" sez Elections Canada. Sez Walt, "Eh?"

Elections Canada is a theoretically independent body which organizes and supervises federal elections in Canuckistan. However, it is funded by the Liberal government of Canada -- Just In Trudeau, Prop. -- which has left churls like Conservative MP Pierre Poilievre, who accused the agency of being a "Liberal lapdog" when he heard about EC's latest brain fart -- an ad campaign to encourage young people (read: potential Liberal voters) to register and vote in October's federal election.

The original idea was to put out two videos, one English and one French, featuring 13 "influencers" -- "famous online personalities" such as Lilly Singh (pictured), music icons, TV stars, and even former Olympians. Besides Ms Singh (talk show host), the list includes: Mitch Hughes (YouTuber), Andre De Grasse (Olympic sprinter of colour), Katherine Levac (alleged comedienne), Elle Mills (another Prideful YouTuber), Maripier Morin (TV host), Alex Nevsky (alleged singer), Penny Oleksiak (Olympienne), Nicolas Ouellet (another TV host unknown in English Canada), Max Parrot (another Olympian), Thanh Phung (blogger, unrelated to Walt), Maayan Ziv (CEO of AccessNow, a human rights, public policy, and advocacy group) and Ashley Callingbull (First Nations activist and model).

What could go wrong? Well, M Poilievre and others have suggested that the 13 "influencers", while as diverse and inclusive as all get out, might be rather exclusive when it comes to political thought, or should we say political bias. Ms Callingbull, for example, said in social media posts before the 2015 election, "we are in desperate need of a new prime minister." And so it came to pass when Mr Socks prevailed over Steve Harpoon.

Articles which appeared in Le Droit and Flash Québec in February of 2018 described Mlle Levac as saying her ideal man is... wait for it... Justin Trudeau. And in December of 2015, Ms Singh posted a photo of Mr Socks, praising his appointment of a gender-balanced cabinet along with the hashtag #mancrushfriday. She has posted nothing between then and now indicating her view of the Prime Minister has changed.

Elections Canada, apparently stung by suggestions that the Gang of 13 were members of the liberal elite, decided to scrap the ad campaign, at a cost to Canadian taxpayers of at least C$325,000 ($246,000 in real money) which had already been spent on shooting the videos, paying the unbiased "influencers", etc. According to Chief Electoral Officer Stéphane Perrault, the decision to shut down the initiative was taken to avoid the risk of using "influencers" who might appear to have some partisan bias.

M Perrault refused to name names or say what kind of bias the "influencers" might have. On CBC Radio's The House, he said, "It was clear from the outset that it had to be beyond any reproach, beyond any possible interpretation that, whether for lifestyle choices, or comments, or pictures, that these could be tied to a particular partisan point of view. It's important for Canadians to understand and know that Elections Canada is a completely independent agent of Parliament, that we are non-partisan, that everything we do, including the media campaign, is done with that in mind." This was on radio, not TV, so we couldn't see if he was able to keep a straight face.

Liberal bias is pervasive in the meeja, the civil service, and the schools of not just Canada, but the USA, the UK, and indeed just about every country of the Western world. I'll have more to say about that in my next post, a review and recommendation of Bias: A CBS Insider Exposes How the Media Distort the News, by Bernard Goldberg (Regnery Publishing, 2002).
