Anti-vax protesters force Canuck PM to flee campaign rally

Walt has received a report, confirmed by Agent 2, that the Rt. Hon. Blackie McBlackface, Prime Minister of Canuckistan, was forced by angry protesters to run away from a Liberal Party rally which was to be held yesterday afternoon in Bolton ON, a once-peaceful village northwest of Toronto. 

Mr Socks is campaigning for a third term in a federal election to be held on September 20th. The sign seems to suggest that Trudeaumania v. 2.0 has run its course.

The angry crowd appeared to be anti-vaxxers for the most part, incensed about the Liberal Plan to introduce "vaccine passports" from coast to coast to coast. If this goes ahead, the sheeple of Canada will have to produce an electronic or paper "passport" -- i.e. have their papers in order! -- to be able to go to the cinema or the gym or a sporting even, or... just about anywhere. Just another rod in the fasces of state control.

Sergeant Dudley Doright, head of the security detail protecting M Trudeau, said that when they realized there were more protesters in the crowd than Liberal supporters, they reckoned that it was time for the soon-to-be-former PM to get out of Dodge, "in the interest of public safety" of course, not because he was afraid of getting roughed up.

Mr Socks and his team fled to "an undisclosed location" in nearby Brampton ON, where he held a presser in which he vowed to "meet anger with compassion." He said he recognized that the pandemic has been hard on everyone, including those who protested at his event. "We all had a difficult year. Those folks out protesting, they had a difficult year too, and I know and I hear the anger, the frustration, perhaps the fear."

The only fear visible in videos of the presser was that of His Wokeness, who appeared to be shaken (not stirred) by the sight of people who actually oppose his plan to transform the former Great White North into a "post-national state" where critical race theory is put into practice and straight white people are put in their place. (We note that the Liberal candidate whose sign appears in the photo is, to judge by his name, a Sikh.)

Sadly, the transformation of Canada into Canuckistan, begun by Trudeau I, has almost been completed by Trudeau II, who expressed his astonishment that some Canadians don't like what's happening to their country and their freedoms. 

He said he has never seen this level of anger or intensity on a campaign trail, including his time as a kid when campaigning with his father. "I think this is something that Canadians, all of us, need to reflect on," he said, "because it's not who we are." Walt sez, "Oh yeah?"

Meanwhile south of the World's Longest Undefended Border (TM), the Department of Homeland Security has released a list of the top three security threats to Sleepy Joe's America. 

Seems Canadians and Americans aren't so different after all!

Nick Adams (@NickAdamsinUSA) describes himself as President Trump's favourite author. Hadn't heard of him until I saw this meme today on Blazing Cat Fur, but with an endorsement like that, will have to check him out!

VIDEO: Father Edward Meeks talks about the plague of "wokeness"

In addition to being the Glorious Fourth of July, yesterday was a Sunday. Hope some of you went to church before enjoying the July 4th cookout promised by Sleepy Joe. The promise that 70% of American would be vaccinated against the kung flu by July 4th didn't quite eventuate -- actual number 63% -- but never mind, there are other plagues to think about.

In yesterday's homily, Father Edward Meeks, a Catholic priest of the Ordinariate of the Chair of Saint Peter, and the founding pastor of Christ the King Church in Towson MD, talked about one of those "other plagues" now sweeping the Excited States of America -- that of political correctness, or not giving offence, in an age when so many seem so easily offended.

   

Lesson 1: If you're a Christian and offended by the "wokeness" of today's America, don't be afraid to stand up and say so. The godlessness of the popular cultural is real. As Fr Meeks says, those infected by it need to "wake up from their wokeness" before it's too late -- for them and for the country. It's up to us to issue the wakeup call! 

Lesson 2: Even more important, acknowledging that we who believe in the Lord are a small and too-often-silent minority in a world of unbelievers, a world hell-bent (word chosen carefully) on self-destruction, we must keep our Faith, for the sake of own souls, lest we follow the majority to eterenal damnation.

Except for Dilbert, I don't read comic strips any more. For one thing, I don't read the print editions of any newspaper. (Indeed, at least one newspaper which I read occasionally doesn't even have a print edition any more.) Besides, my all-time favourite strips are either dead (Pogo) or dying (Doonesbury). So it is that until today I never heard of Mallard Fillmore, a comic strip syndicated by King Features, written and illustrated by Bruce Tinsley until 2019 and Loren Fishman since 2020. 

The artwork owes a lot to Garry Trudeau and Doonesbury. The editorial viewpoint? All I know is that the title character is "a seasoned conservative reporter for fictional television station WFDR-TV in Washington DC, which hired him in order to fill its quota for 'Amphibious Americans'." I like this example of the creators' viewpoint.

You can't win with those guys, can you. That we --  you know who I mean -- are all racists, whether we admit it or not, is a key part of critical race theory, the latest political orthodoxy with which we are now taxed. Deny it, and you will quickly find yourself beyond the pale, even if you don't work for The Mouse.

VIDEO: Fed-up teacher slams Loudon VA school board's insane racism

Meet Lilit Vanetsyan, a self-described "educator" [Is "teacher" too simple a word for "educators"? Ed.] and reporter with Right Side Broadcasting Network. In only one minute, Ms Vanetsyan exposed the insanity of Marxist critical race theory, as embraced by the Loudoun County (VA) Public Schools.

This "extreme wokeness" (or "woke extremism?") teaches that hidden racism permeates American society, and encourages students to deconstruct the world around them to find hidden racism. Here's what Ms Vanetsyan thinks of it.

 

Critical race theory is the ideology which fueled the violent Black Lives Matter and antifa riots last summer. "Woke" school districts across the Excited States of America have rushed to get on the reverse racism bandwagon, but few more so than Loudoun County Public Schools, in the suburbs of Virginia, northwest of Washington DC.

For the sake of combatting perceived "systemic racism", the LCPS adopted curriculum from the far-Left Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) and removed the still-popular Dr. Seuss books from its library shelves. The LCPS plan also includes the obligatory "anti-racism training' (read" brainwashing) for teachers. Walt has heard that one of the "modules" is entitled "Guilty! Guilty! Guilty", with the text being a book of the same name by Garry Trudeau.  [Ed., you'd better check this.] 

It is also rumoured that "educators" will be required to instruct their impressionable pupils on how to draft and circulate petitions calling for the renaming of the Loudoun County seat, which happens to be, errr... Leesburg... named after... you know who.

Don't be misled by the self-proclaimed good intentions of the SJWs. In the name of promoting "sensitivity" and "tolerance", critical race theory promotes racism and division. 

It's not just whites who are targetted. In a statement released on 23 February, the Chinese American Citizens Alliance of Greater New York declared, "Critical Race Theory (CRT) is a hateful, divisive, manipulative fraud. One way or another, CRT wants to get rid of ​too many Asians​ in good schools. Asians are over-represented.​ CRT is today’s Chinese Exclusion Act. CRT is the real ​hate crime​ against Asians....

"CRT appears in our workplaces under the cover of ​implicit bias/sensitivity​ ​training​. It infiltrates our schools pretending to be ​culturally/ethnically responsive​ ​pedagogy​, with curricula such as the New York Times' ​1619 Project​ and Seattle’s ​ethnomathematics​. From its very roots, CRT is racist, repressive, discriminatory, and divisive."
