All babies are born right-wing!

...so if they grow up to be liberals... or worse... blame the wokesters and ideologues in the education establishment and meeja like the Disney Grooming Corporation. Teachers are not the role models you're looking for!*

Question: Is there no way I can protect my kids? Answer: home schooling!

Walt goes to the movies - "Zootopia 2"

In "Zootopia 2 Proves All Box Office Failure Excuses are Lies" Breitbart News' John Nolte reports that over the Thanksgiving weekend, the Disney Grooming Syndicate’s Zootopia 2 grossed $556 million worldwide, $156 million domestically. A pretty amazing counterpoint to what entgertainment industry "experts" call "the ongoing collapse of the box office".

The "experts" say that people are shunning Hollywood's shoddy slop not because of appeal or quality, but for reasons completely unrelated to the fact that the industry is run by political leftists determined to push the DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusivity) agenda.

They're producing movies filled with political messaging, obnoxious girlbosses, gay stuff, and woketard record scratches, and all sorts of other loony liberal propaganda. As Walt found out yesterday, Disney has its own "Diversity and Inclusion" team, which gets a credit near end of the length scroll following Zootopia 2.

The libtards running the show seem totally unaware that the not-so-liberal general public -- people like you and me -- are fed up with the DEI crap... sick, sore and tired of it. So when a young lady of whom I am quite fond asked to be taken to see Zootopia 2, I asked myself; why should I go and see another lousy product from a tired and out-of-touch bunch of  wokesters.

But (I thought) the original Zootopia was pretty good, in spite of the DEI sub-text, and if "Flash" (the sloth who works at the DMV) is going to be in the sequel, he'll be good for a laugh. So I watched the trailer...

... and decided to give it a chance. I'm glad I did. Zootopia 2 is better (IMHO) than the original. Of course it's still all about equity and inclusion, celebrating our differences, working together for a woke new society yada yada yada, but the main story line is strong enough that you aren't bothered by the quiet propaganda. There's lots of action, a plot which is simple enough to follow (maybe not for pre-teens), and the animation and characterization are excellent! 👍👍👍👍 (out of five)

We return then to Mr Nolte's article. "If Zootopia 2 can make $556 million over a single weekend (he writes), why can't everything else? That’s not a sarcastic question, and the answer is an easy one: because not every movie has the same broad appeal as Zootopia 2. That’s not a criticism. It’s just a fact.

"The answer to so many box office bombs, however, is decidedly not these relentless lies and crybaby excuses of: COVID, streaming, theatrical window, whine, whine, whine, whine… No, not every movie can deliver the same broad appeal of a Zootopia 2, but…and this is important…enough people all over the world obviously, obviously still want to go to the movies if the movie holds some appeal for them.

"The problem is that Hollywood removed sex appeal and sensuality (unless it's gay sex appeal and sensuality). The problem is that Hollywood chose divisive political messaging over universal appeal and themes. The problem is that Hollywood chose to alter and poison human nature with so much woke, no one can relate to the characters or their relationships.

"Movies like Zootopia 2...prove one thing: Americans still love going to the movies, and what’s stopping them is not StreamingCOVIDTheatricalWindow. What’s stopping them is a a smug, spoiled, bigoted, and insulated industry that hates its own customers."

Noted in passing:
- Being a cheap SOB, I went on a Tuesday afternoon when admission at the Fort Mudge cinema is half-price. Even so, the auditorium was no more than 20% full. Maybe it''s because it was a school day.

- The aforementioned cinema doesn't have a ticket window any more. If you haven't booked online (a buck extra for the "administration fee"!) you can get your ticket at an ATM-like machine in the lobby, or from the pimple-faced kid who sells you the popcorn-like snacks.

- The lobby of yesteryear has been transformed into an arcade where the slack-jawed yokels can play more-or-less violent games like Exterminator and Transformers until their thirst for flashing lights and loud noises has been quenched. Not recommended for those prone to seizures.

- The cinema now offers a gadget -- a tiny screen mounted on a flex pipe that fits into your cup-holder -- which displays subtitles in English or ??? for those who can't keep up. The screen is low-light, green-on-black, quite unobtrusive, and a good idea.

That's Walt's one-and-only movie review for this year. I just might go again next year, by which time I'm sure there'll be a Zootopia 3!

June 2022 - the month of pride and pox

In case you haven't noticed -- perhaps you've been vacationing on Mars -- it's Gay Pride Month.

Private residences and public buildings, including "Catholic" schools and the American embassy in the Vatican, are gayly decorated with flags striped with all the colours of the rainbow, plus black and white and pastels. Politicians of every stripe [geddit? Ed.] and their bespoke media are pushing the pro-queer agenda, and corporate America is on the bandwagon, with Disney in the van of the Pride Parade.

And the people. Lord, the people! Not just guys (?) like this one, crying "We want to be treated just like everyone else!", but the drag queens, who now shimmy and simper on whole TV shows, and are invited to preach their "new normal" lifestyle to our children in woke libraries and schools.

If you, as a concerned parent, should dare to object to having your kids exposed to this kind of grooming, well, you're homophobic, and shame on you!

I hope I'm not the only one who sees a certain irony or (dare I say it?) justice in the fact that Pride Month 2022 has seen an unprecedented outbreak of monkeypox, a loathsome disease transmitted by intimate contact between male homosexuals.

The lamestream media are downplaying the queer connection. In places like San Francisco and Toronto, vaccination clinics are being organized, they tell us, for "at-risk populations". We are left to guess what kind of people are covered by that phrase.

As I wrote almost a month ago, this is not the first punishment God has visited on people who break His commandments. (Follow the "Further reading" link below.) His punishment of the people of Sodom and Gomorrah is recounted in the Old Testament (Genesis 19) and the Qu'ran.

Traditionally, Sodom and Gomorrah have been associated with homosexual acts. The mob of men that accosts the angels had demanded of Lot, "Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us, so that we may know them." (Genesis 19:5). This has long been interpreted as "carnal knowledge" and many believe that it is the widespread homosexuality of the inhabitants that earns their obliteration.

Other Biblical references to Sodom and Gomorrah, including Jude 1:7, which mentions sexual immorality and "unnatural lust", and the "abominable things" of Ezekiel 16:50, are seen as support for this view. Laws against unnatural acts -- almost all repealed or forgotten in the Great Reset -- use terms such as "sodomy", "abomination", and "sins against nature".

God loves us, but God is just, and tells us plainly that He will punish those who transgress His laws. He gave us the example of Sodom and Gomorrah, and we didn't learn the lesson. Thousands of years later, God visited the plague of HIV/AIDs on our increasingly decadent and depraved society. Still, we didn't learn. And now we have monkeypox, just in time for Pride Month.

Our scientists tell us they are smarter than God (in whom they don't believe anyway) and can cure, or at least reduce the effects of such diseases. Wouldn't it be better to obey God's rules for living -- rules that He has made for our own good -- than suffer the consequences of disobedience?

I give you that thought since you're not likely to hear it in the woke media or even at your woke church. Pretending that homosexuality, transgenderism etc etc are "normal" in our new woke society is the message of Pride Month. That message is wrong! Even if you don't believe in God, there is such a thing as natural law, which cannot be disregarded with impunity. Thus endeth the lesson.

Q. How can you prove you're not a racist? A. You can't!

Except for Dilbert, I don't read comic strips any more. For one thing, I don't read the print editions of any newspaper. (Indeed, at least one newspaper which I read occasionally doesn't even have a print edition any more.) Besides, my all-time favourite strips are either dead (Pogo) or dying (Doonesbury). So it is that until today I never heard of Mallard Fillmore, a comic strip syndicated by King Features, written and illustrated by Bruce Tinsley until 2019 and Loren Fishman since 2020.

The artwork owes a lot to Garry Trudeau and Doonesbury. The editorial viewpoint? All I know is that the title character is "a seasoned conservative reporter for fictional television station WFDR-TV in Washington DC, which hired him in order to fill its quota for 'Amphibious Americans'." I like this example of the creators' viewpoint.
You can't win with those guys, can you. That we --  you know who I mean -- are all racists, whether we admit it or not, is a key part of critical race theory, the latest political orthodoxy with which we are now taxed. Deny it, and you will quickly find yourself beyond the pale, even if you don't work for The Mouse.

Blazing Cat Fur used this strip today in their link to a good article on CRT, by the anonymous write of a blog called Neo. If, unlike my goodself, you have to live in a community inhabited by the likes of the blonde lady, you should read entitled "Dealing with Critical Race Theory and Critical Race Training". And good luck to you.

FOOTNOTE added 14/5/21: Speaking of Dilbert, this strip appeared today.

Scott Adams has been taking the mickey out of political correctness and other shibboleths for decades. Dilbert is the one strip I subscribe to.

VIDEO: Michael Matt on the cancel culture in America AND the Vatican

It's been a while since we reposted a video by Michael Matt, editor the Remnant newspaper. Mr Matt is by way of being one of my favourite commentators on matters political and religious, because he doesn't sugarcoat the truth. And when so many of us are getting discouraged, he remains positive that we can stand up against the forces of the New World Order, and that eventually, with the help of our Lord and His Blessed Mother, we will prevail.

In this video, Mr Matt argues that the cancel culture began with the cancellation of the traditional Catholic religion. Our Lady of Fatima warned Sister Lucia that this would happen. Sister Lucia wrote down the warning and sent it to the Vatican, with instructions that it be revealed in 1960 "because it will be better understood then."

The Vatican sat on the Third Secret and has yet to divulge the full contents of the warning. But it is apparent now... or should be, even to the doubters... that the prophecy of the destruction of the Church and of Western society is progressing, exactly as predicted.

Mr Matt asks what John Lennon, Pope Paul VI and Margaret Sanger have in common. The answer is that traditional Catholics were at war with them all, long before anyone had ever heard of Cardi B, "Pope" Francis or Bill Gates. The Great Reset is nothing new. What is new is the fact that nobody's laughing at traditional Catholics anymore. Listen and learn.

Dear friends, we can defeat the New World Order! Stop being afraid! Start wearing the Brown Scapular -- it will protect you more than any mask -- and praying the Rosary. Even if you're not Catholic, you can still pray to God and His Son for the restoration of Christian civilization. Christus vincit! Christus regnat! Christus imperat!

Winnie the Pooh film banned in China

Are you looking forward to taking the kiddos to see Christopher Robin, the new Disney film based on A.A. Milne's famous Winnie the Pooh books? Lots of Chinese were hoping to see it, but Agent 88 sends word that they're SOL, as the film has been banned in China.

No official reason has been given for the film's having been "denied release" (as a spokesthingy for The Mouse put it), Winnie the Pooh has become a symbol of resistance to the Communist Party that rules China after bloggers started to compare Chinese President Xi Jinping to the friendly but clumsy, slow-witted and tubby toy bear.

The new film tells the story of a now middle-aged Christopher Robin, whose mundane life takes a turn when he is unexpectedly reunited with Pooh, Tigger, Piglet and other animals from his childhood. Coming soon to a cinema near you. (Not you, Chen!)

Further reading: Winnie the Pooh has been mentioned before on WWW, just once. See "Fired on the first day of work", 7/4/14, one of Walt's most-read posts!

Your wet dreams come true - Heidi Klum as Jessica Rabbit

Ed. here. We at WWW are under no illusions about why certain posts get 1000s of hits, and others, errr, about 14. A lot of our traffic, particularly from Russia, comes from boyz typing with one hand, looking for pix/videos of naked or nearly naked women. Well... yeah... human nature.

We don't like to pander but every now and then Walt sees a photo that warms the cockles of his heart. Sometimes his cockles get so warm he has to rub them with ice! Such a pic spread all over the Web like a rash this weekend, so we're going to share it with any of you who missed it.

Jessica Rabbit is an exquisitely drawn character -- a bawd with a bod -- from the fine Walt Disney film Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Yes, it really is a Disney film, although far from being one of their syrupy, G-rated, "family entertainment" productions. It's fine for kids at one level, but really meant to be viewed and appreciated by adults of a certain age (like Walt) who look back with nostalgia to the golden days of full animation and cartoons that were zany and genuinely funny.

Jessica Rabbit, wife of the movie's central character, Roger Rabbit, looks like a gigantic sex toy. "I'm not a bad girl," she tells ace detective Eddie Valiant (Bob Hoskins), "I'm just drawn that way." She certainly is an eyeful. What man could watch the movie without dreaming of meeting [just "meeting"? Walt] a girl built like that. But hey, she's only a toon.

Or so it was until this weekend, when 42-year-old model Heidi Klum decided to dress up like Jessica Rabbit for her annual Hallowe'en bash. MailOnline reports (with pix) that doing so took a lot more than slipping into a red satin dress slit up to heaven. Ms Klum had to don rubber eyelids and a fake bum. [If it had been made in London, we could call it a London derriere. You're welcome. Walt.]

It took a team of specialist make-up artists nine hours to painstakingly add layer upon layer of prosthetic face and body enhancements to create Jessica Rabbit's stunning sultry physique. The result is certainly something to behold, and we know 1000s of you will do just that, for weeks, months and years to come. Enjoy.

How embarrassing! Rovi gets "Fantasia" still caption wrong

Ever heard of Rovi? Neither had I. But Wikipedia informs us that Rovi Corporation is a US company, known previously as "Macrovision", whose patents, products, and technologies include copy protection, software licensing and "search recommendation" on devices such as set-top boxes, digital video recorders, TVs, and mobile and tablet devices.

We're told also that companies such as consumer electronics manufacturers, cable operators, websites, and social networks use Rovi’s entertainment metadata -- a collection of in-depth information on movies, television shows, celebrities, music, games, and books -- in their efforts to organize and enable the consumption as well as hinder the duplication of the digital entertainment they provide.

So... "in-depth information on movies", eh. The kind of "in-depth information" you might find in an article like "50 incredible animated movies", which appeared on MSN Entertainment today. All captions (the blurb on the landing page sez) were provided by Rovi. Here's Walt's screen cap of one of them.

Fans (like Walt) of the original Fantasia, released in 1940, will know immediately that the cell pictured is not from Fantasia, but from Fantasia 2000, released by Disney in 2000 [Duh! Ed.] to slow applause.

Nasty letters to MSN and Rovi are being drafted by Disney's legal weasels even as we speak.

Disney anti-obesity show: what you WON'T see

Walt's Florida-based agents don't go to Disney World. Only they know why. How could they pass up a chance to see a new "anti-obesity attraction", which opened at Epcot just last month?

Well, it's too late now. The anti-fat exhibit has been closed, after only three weeks, because of the complaints of angry parents, doctors and "obesity experts". [Ed. Please check if that's "obesity" or "obese".] The offended ones said the attraction was "horrifying" and -- predictably, in our PC age -- insensitive.

You'll find the Orlando Sentinel 's description of the exhibit, called "Habit Heroes", right here. Inside the 4,700-square-foot space, kids worked with protagonists Will Power and Callie Stenics (the one with the high jiggle factor) to fight bad habits, personified as grotesquely obese villains with names like The Glutton, Lead Bottom and The Snacker.

In one room, kids wielded guns that shot broccoli and apples, aiming to knock out cream puffs and hot dogs. In another, they pressure Lead Bottom into dancing to help him lose weight. These few words don't really convey an adequate mental picture, so, thanks to the miracle of YouTube, here's the hidden camera video.

Now I ask you, how could anyone be offended by that? I could watch Callie Stenics all day long!

For more on the fattening of America, see Walt's previous posts, "Fat and fatter", "Showers for those who can't see their toes" and "Fattest people on earth". And remember, even though someone may be fat, don't you dare tell them so!
