UPDATED: "Boy, is my face red! Errr... OK, it's brown! Black?!"

Here they are, folks, the pictures that have exploded in Justin Trudeau's blackened face. M Trudeau, the former Prime Minister of Canada (now seeking a second term in that lofty office) is, as he keeps telling Canucks, a great believer in multiculturalism, inclusiveness and diversity. "Diversity is our strength!" And equality. Don't forget equality. "A Canadian is a Canadian is a Canadian!"

These pix push the bullshit meter well into the red. The excrement first interfaced with the air-conditioning device yesterday afternoon, when Time ran the picture at right, taken in 2001, of the 29-year-old Mister T exercising his penchant for playing Mr Dress-up by appearing as Aladdin [or is it the genie? Ed.] at an entertainment at West Point Grey Academy, a private school in Vancouver, where the young(ish) Trudeau was a drama teacher.

That was the pic that hit the news... and the Trudeau campaign... like a bombshell yesterday evening. But in his fulsome apology -- and I use the word correctly -- Mr Socks revealed that, errr, there were other pictures. Here's an even better one.

Looks like the same costume, so let's be charitable and assume it was taken at the same event, but it wouldn't surprise me if it turned out to be M Trudeau showing ethnic solidarity with a couple of his candidates in Brampton and Mississauga. (By the way, former Liberal MP Raj Grewal, the one with the gambling problem, announced yesterday that he wouldn't be running again this time. Surprised?)

On CBC's The National last night, a clearly crestfallen (and unbiased LOL) Rosemary Barton, described the makeup M Trudeau is wearing (not just on his face, but on his hands too) as "brownface", as if that made it... you know... not quite as bad as wearing blackface, which is something only racist Americans do. (Imagine if Donald Trump was photographed in blackface! Cazart!)

Rosie must be even more dismayed today, looking at this picture of an even younger Justin Trudeau singing "Day-O" in a talent show at Le collège Jean-de-Brébeuf. Looks like blackface to me, and if you look closely you can see the enormous Afro which completed the image. Harry Belafonte he's not, but "racist", errr...

And that's the point. The other party leaders, the (((controlled media))) and every "progressive" in Canuckistan has pounced on poor Just In, whose face, as he spoke to the press on the campaign plane last night, was not red but ashen.

The Cuckservative, Andrew Scheer, and the NDP (Socialist) leader Jagmeet Singh (a brown-faced man in a turban!) were just about beside themselves with glee, all the while trying to look and sound deeply offended, accusing Just In of racial insensitivity, "wearing ethnicity as a costume", and, of course, racism.

The feminist champion of diversity and multiculturalism is truly hoist on his own petard. Ya gotta love it!

There are, to be sure, a few sane individuals who say that you shouldn't hold a "youthful indiscretion" against someone, especially if he apologizes sincerely (with tears, if possible) and has "matured and evolved" so that he realizes and takes responsibility for his political incorrectness. That's what Andy Sheer said just a few days ago, while standing up for a couple of his candidates who'd been somewhat compromised by past "errors of judgment".

The hyuge KA-BOOM is still reverberating through the newsrooms, corridors of power, Tim Hortons and other places where people discuss such things. It will be some time before people stop talking about Just In Trudeau's bad hair day... make that bad face day. Stay tuned!

Liberal MP Raj Grewal confirms decision NOT to resign

Agent 3, who follows Canadian politics like a tort lawyer follows an ambulance, has sent us a short story from the Canadian Broadcorping Castration to the effect that Raj Grewal, Member of Parliament for Brampton East, has confirmed his tentative decision not to resign his seat, after first promising that he would resign to "focus on [his] mental health" and other personal problems, such as handling large sums of money. As Walt told you, what the honourable Mr Grewal said in November was that his decision was tentative. He would have a good think over the Christmas break [Do Sikhs celebrate Christmas? Ed.] and let his anxious constituents (and financial advisors) know for sure in the new year. In a Facebook post yesterday evening (when everyone was conveniently looking at breaking news of an Islamic terrorist plot unfolding in Kingston ON), Mr Grewal said the last two months have been "a challenging time, but also a period of immense personal growth." He has since paid back his gambling debts, he said, and that every loan he took from family and friends to do so is transparent and traceable. Out of respect for his family and friends he provided no further details.

Mr Grewal has grown up sufficiently (he asserts) to be able to represent the interests of the good people of Brampton East and the state of Khalistan in the Canadian Parliament. He will therefore continue to sit in the House of Commons until the October general election, albeit as an independent MP, so as not to embarrass his good friend Mr Socks (the one on the left in the picture). Whether the Liberals will run a candidate -- with or without turban -- against him in October remains to be seen.

UPDATED (and WOW!) Told ya so! Grewal now says he will NOT resign

Here's the latest on Raj Grewal, member of the Canadian parliament representing the Sikh-majority riding of Brampton East. As Walt reported a week ago -- see "Canuck media treat troubled Liberal MP with kid gloves", WWW 24/11/18 -- Mr Grewal used Facebook to announce to his constituents that he intended to resign in order to deal with "medical and personal problems".

Walt (and many others in the alt-media) were brave enough to ask, aloud and in print, for specifics of the MP's "problems". In response, the office of Prime Minister Just In Trudeau issued a statement saying that Mr Grewal had informed them that he was receiving treatment from a health professional "related to a gambling problem that led him to incur significant personal debts. Based on these circumstances, we agreed that his decision to resign as member of Parliament for Brampton East was the right one. We hope he receives the support he needs."

So that's all right then... nothing to see here, folks... Except that Mr Grewal failed to actually resign. There are procedures to follow, notices to be given to Elections Canada and other authorities. But after making the announcement through the social media, Mr Grewal went to ground, refusing to speak to the meeja or occupy his seat in the House of Commons.

Once again, the lamestream media buried the story of the non-resignation below the fold, so it fell to Walt to explain why Mr Grewal was reluctant to give up his seat. Agent 3 suggests that there's more at stake than a Member's six-figure salary and generous expense account. Of even greater benefit to Mr Grewal, it seems, is the immunity from arrest that a member enjoys while Parliament is in session.

I wrote that on Tuesday. Yesterday, Mr Grewal sent a video to "Canada's national newspaper" [sic], the Globe and Mail, in which he said... wait for it... that he may not resign after all! (Lifetime pct .990.) He admits to having accumulated personal debt in the "millions of dollars" by playing high limit blackjack at the casino across the river from Parliament Hill. But, he said, that debt is now fully repaid. What he did not say is where he got the funds to pay back "millions of dollars".

Mr Grewal called his gambling a mental disorder, born "out of human frailty". [I'll give you 8 to 5 on that. Ed.] He went on to say that the problem "escalated" after he was elected in 2015. Although he announced on Facebook (!) that he was going to resign to deal with the problem, Mr Grewal now says the post was "ill-advised" and the job he was elected to do in his riding of Brampton East "remains unfinished." Hey, there's almost a year of feeding at the public trough before the next election!

Mr Grewal concluded by saying he will make his final decision after Parliament resumes in the new year. Although he will cling to his seat, he will resign from the Liberal caucus so as not to be an embarrassment to Mr Dressup. "I've decided that I will be leaving the Liberal caucus and will be taking a leave of absence to focus on my mental health and treatment plan," Mr Grewal said... again... Stay tuned.

UPDATE ADDED at 0715 -- Ed. no sooner posted the latest chapter in the saga of Raj Grewal's non-resignation when Agent 3 sent us a story which just appeared in Canada's real national newspaper, the National Post, headlined "RCMP called to probe tale of two Liberal MPs, a suburban overpass, trip to India and multimillion dollar land deal". The two Liberal MPs referred to are Economic Development Minister Navdeep Bains, on the left in the NP pic, and... sure enough... Raj Grewal, still the honourable member for Brampton East.

UPDATED AGAIN: Walt explains why MP Grewal has NOT resigned

On Saturday, Walt reported on the sympathetic treatment the Canuck lamestream media are giving to Raj Grewal, the once and still Member of Parliament for the Sikh-majority riding of Brampton East. See "Canuck media treat troubled Liberal MP with kid gloves", WWW 24/11/18. In a tweet to his constituents and the Liberal Party whip -- yes, Mr Grewal is a Liberal -- the rookie MP said he was going to quit to deal with "personal and medical" problems. Prime Minister Just In Trudeau expressed his sympathy and said that Mr Grewal was doing the right thing.

When pressed (lightly, no starch) for specifics of Mr Grewal's problems, fart-catchers for Mr Socks issued a statement saying that Mr Grewal had informed the PM's office that he was receiving treatment from a health professional "related to a gambling problem that led him to incur significant personal debts. Based on these circumstances, we agreed that his decision to resign as member of Parliament for Brampton East was the right one. We hope he receives the support he needs."

The prime ministerial flaks also said they were "not aware" of any investigations being carried out by the Brampton police. All they knew about, they said, was the RCMP investigation into Mr Grewal's doings in connection with Mr Dress-up's ludicrous trip to India earlier this year. It seems Mr Grewal invited along a person with whom he had had business dealings, and from whom he had received a sum of money for "professional services".

Today, Canada's Global TV News, which is probing the story with a lot more vigour than, say, the state-owned CBC, reports that although Mr Grewal said publicly that he was going to resign, he has yet to do so! Apparently there's a clear parliamentary procedure that must be followed when an MP resigns his/her seat. Notices must be given to certain officials before Elections Canada can declare the seat vacant, and Mr Grewal hasn't done the necessary.

Why (I hear you ask) has Mr Grewal not followed through on his stated intention? Walt was churlish enough to suggest that at least one more shoe would drop, sooner rather than later. Agent 3 has now put his legal mind to the matter, and draws Walt's attention to the Government of Canada website which explains the privileges and immunities of Members of Parliament. About half-way down the lengthy page, one may see the heading "Freedom from Arrest in Civil Actions".

A Canuck MP, the article explains, is not immune from arrest for a criminal offence. However, a Member may not be arrested under civil process, including for civil contempt of court. Such as? Such as failing to appear for examination as a judgment debtor, or in answer to a subpoena in a civil trial. The privilege of freedom from arrest exists from the moment of the execution of the return of the writ of election by the returning officer, and continues while the House of Commons is sitting, as it is now. It also applies 40 days before and after a session of Parliament and 40 days after a dissolution of Parliament.

In other words, if Mr Grewal resigns, rather than just promising to do so, he loses that immunity and can be immediately brought before a civil court to face whatever consequences flow from his "significant debt (and other?) problems". Of course the loss of that privilege has no bearing whatever on Mr Grewal's dragging of his Liberal feet.

UPDATE OF THE UPDATE, added 28/11/18: Somewhere below the fold [Only Editors will understand that. Ed.] CBC News is carrying a report from Canadian Press that word of Raj Grewal's gambling debts surfaced on police wiretaps in a much broader probe into other people suspected of money laundering and terrorist financing. 

A source with knowledge of the events, who requested anonymity due to the sensitivity of the matter, said the MP's debts came to the attention of the Ontario Provincial Police during an investigation of some "particularly shady guys" who might be involved in laundering drug money destined for an extremist group in the Middle East.

My innocent question: What "extremist group in the Middle East" sprang to your mind as you read that? Wouldn't it be more than strange for a Sikh to be helping with the financing of Islamic terrorists? Maybe not.

Canuck media treat troubled Liberal MP with kid gloves

For an example of how the liberal/Liberal bias of the Canadian lamestream media plays out (see "Canada's liberal propagandists to get $600 million reward", WWW 24/11/18), consider the kid-glove treatment given to Raj Grewal, the Liberal Member of Parliament for the Sikh enclave of Brampton East, who resigned from Parliament and from the Party on Thursday.

When the story broke, all of the Canuck meeja swallowed -- hook, line and sinker -- a statement from Mr Grewal that he was leaving for "personal and medical reasons". That's all. Nothing to see here folks. And no-one -- especially no-one from the CBC -- asked any questions. To do so would have been, errr, racist, eh!

Chief Government Whip Mark Holland sent a memo to Liberal MPs instructing them "to refrain from speculating or commenting publicly" about Mr Grewal's resignation. "It's sad. It's very unfortunate that he's facing very serious personal issues. It was very challenging, but the right thing to do," said Mr Holland. "It wouldn't be respectful to him to comment further." And on Thursday night, Just In Trudeau tweeted that Mr Grewal's decision to resign "was the right one. I hope he receives the support he needs."

The next day, however, someone timidly asked about the nature of Mr Grewal's problems. There were rumours floating around the Sikh community, it was said, about Mr Grewal's relationship with Yusuf Yenilmez, CEO of ZGemi Inc., a Brampton construction company. Someone remembered that Mr Grewal had invited Mr Yenilmez, who had previously paid him for "legal advice" to come along with Mr Socks and his family on the disastrous trip to India in February. An ethics investigation into that little affair is ongoing.

So... a bit of clarification was needed. On Friday the Prime Minister's fart-catchers issued a statement echoing the Trudeau tweet, saying that Mr Grewal had informed the PM's office that he was receiving treatment from a health professional "related to a gambling problem that led him to incur significant personal debts." Aha. "Based on these circumstances," the statement continued, "we agreed that his decision to resign as member of Parliament for Brampton East was the right one. We hope he receives the support he needs."

Then came the sound of a shoe dropping. In its statement, the PMO also said it was "unaware of any investigation by Peel Regional Police" into Grewal's situation. Inspector Knacker sent an e-mail to the CBC refusing to confirm details about ongoing investigations.

So that's that, except that the PMO had to admit, in the same statement, that it did know the Mounties had made inquiries related to a complaint made earlier this year to the federal ethics commissioner by Charlie Angus, MP, about the participation of Mr Grewal and his boss in the junket to India.

Perceptive Canucks (and yes, there are some) must be wondering what a man who was under pressure to repay "significant personal debts" would do to satisfy his creditors. Words like "bribe", "embezzlement", "influence peddling" and "corruption" spring to mind. Such things are unknown in India, of course, but are not unimaginable in the Great No-longer-white North. The other shoe is bound to drop, but don't depend on the Canuck lamestream meeja to tell you.
