VIDEOS: "I'm going to Nigloland!"

Yes, folks, there really is a "Nigloland", a theme park in Dolancourt, in northeastern France. In the official video, which invites you to "Vivez des sensations fortes à Nigloland!" it looks pretty much like your average amusement park.



You got your roller coaster, your runaway train ride (like Indiana Jones), your flume ride and many others designed to make you scream and throw up, if that's your idea of a good time. It also had a quieter ride -- the kind I like -- an African river cruise, like they used to have in Disney's Adventureland (if my memory serves).

The Nigloland (got the name figured out yet?) cruise is a little more realistic... or less politically correct... than the Disney version. Here's a clip.



For those who don't speak French, the character with the red tarboosh, carrying a bunch of bananas, is an African. The one about to get his nether orifice reamed out, is a European colonialist. He's yelling, "Stop talking, Bounama, and help me climb onto this branch before my trousers start looking like a sieve!" The black character replies in a heavy African accent and calls the white character "boss" several times.

For some reason, this scene enraged some visitors to Nigloland -- admirers of Rousseau's "noble savage" ideal, perhaps -- who started a Twitterstorm accusing the park operators of colonialism, racism, yada yada yada -- the usual stuff. The theme park was quick to post an apology on social media, saying "We apologize to the people we were able to encounter with one of the scenes of the Africa Cruise. We are listening to our customers and sensitive to the quality of our park, we change the scene in question this weekend. Thank you for your understanding."

That's OK then. Forget about it. And for our readers who were planning on visiting Nigloland, forget about that too. No "sensations fortes" there any more.

VIDEO: Max Bernier talks about immigration, refugees, hate speech

In its platform, released recently, the People's Party of Canada has promised to put an end to mass immigration. As Walt reported a few days ago (see "Featured Post", at right), they are not saying NO immigration, just reduced immigration, with the emphasis on prospective immigrants who can make a positive contribution to Canadian society immediately, without having to be supported by Canadian taxpayers.

All the same, when supporters put up billboards in major Canadian cities saying "No to mass immigration", the PPC and its leader, Maxime Bernier, were vilified as racists, Islamophobes, yada yada yada. The advertiser (True North) caved, and so did the advertising company (Pattison) which owned the billboards, and they were quickly taken down. That censorship includes the shameful conspiracy of the (((controlled media))), the commentariat and the mainstream parties (not just the lefty Liberals and NDP but the so-called "Conservatives") to deny Max Bernier a place in the televised Leaders' Debates scheduled for October 7th and 10th. Since the lefties are trying so hard to silence "Mad Max" [What are they afraid of? Ed.], I feel it's only fair to him and to the people of Canada to provide a small platform on which the PPC's views can be seen and heard. After all, how can you have a debate if everyone agrees? That's why I posted, last week, "PPC Candidates discuss globalism, Islamism, and immigration", a video recorded on August 17th at the PPC's election training convention in Gatineau PQ.

VIDEO: Greta Thunberg: "International mascot for climate alarmism"

Yes, folks, it's Greta Thunberg, the incarnation of Pippi Longstocking. Or shall we say, the new Malala Yousufzai. Except that instead of preaching peace and love (and not all Muslims are evil), Miss Thunberg is raising her tiny little-girl voice to warn us that the sky is falling, so we should face up the climate emergency (which no-one doubts) and Go Green immediately. Or else! Check out this video, posted on Canada's Global TV website, of Miss Thunberg's recent visit (along with "fellow youth activists") to the Disunited Nations.



Did you ask yourself, "What's wrong with that girl?!" She's 16, as old or older than some of the young women accompanying her. Why does she dress like that? [Maybe her handlers... errr, parents... dress her. Ed.] Why does she talk like that? WTF is she trying to prove?

Maxime Bernier, leader of the People's Party of Canada, has answered those questions in an eight-part Tweetstorm about the "international mascot for climate alarmism". He calls her "mentally unstable" and says she is being used by the left as "a convenient shield". Direct quote from part 4/8: "@GretaThunberg is clearly mentally unstable. Not only autistic, but obsessive-compulsive, eating disorder, depression and lethargy, and she lives in a constant state of fear. She wants us to feel the same: 'I want you to panic. I want you to feel the fear I fear every day.'"

And from part 6/8: "My concern is not for @GretaThunberg’s feelings, but for the millions of Canadians and people in other countries who will be poorer, will suffer and have their lives upended if we let her and the movement she represents impose their radical ideas."

But WHY? From parts 1/8 through 3/8: "The goal of the green Left is to radically transform our society through hysterical fear that the end of the world is coming and we have no choice but to give up our freedoms and way of life. Their agenda is clear. Thunberg: 'We must change almost everything in our current society.'

"They want to make us poorer and restrict everything from housing, transportation, food, travel, and what we consume, to even having babies. They don’t care about democracy and say there is no time left for debate. Opposition or expression of doubt must be silenced. We must make those radical changes NOW."

Some of the replies are worth noting. Challenging those who accused "Mad Max" of bullying an innocent child, Craig Tyler tweeted: "The only ones responsible for Greta’s current position are the people putting her there." Like who? Fingers are being pointed at... wait for it... (((George Soros))). Who else has the bucks to ferry her on a luxury yacht (solar- and wind-powered, of course) from Europe to New York? Well???

Hong Kong government ramps up violence vs pro-democracy protesters

As I write, in the wee hours of the morning, Hong Kong time, the city is relatively quiet. Pro-democracy protesters, the majority of them high school and college students yesterday, are licking their wounds -- literally -- after a day filled with violence and terrorism, perpetrated by the Hong Kong police to quell yet another day of anti-government protests.

For over thirteen weeks now -- a quarter of a year -- the Hong Kong "Special Administrative Region of China" has been convulsed by sometimes violent protests and mass demonstrations, in response to a proposed law by the Communist-backed administration of CEO Carrie Lam that would allow people suspected of crimes on the mainland to be extradited to face trial in Chinese courts.

Today was supposed to be back-to-school day in Hong Kong, but yesterday over 100,000 students chose to go on strike to force the puppet government not just to withdraw completely the extradition bill, but guarantee the people of Hong Kong the democratic freedoms they were promised under the "one country two systems" provisions of the agreement between Britain and China when the Brits handed Hong Kong back to China in 1997.

The student demonstrators tried to make their point peacefully -- chanting and holding up signs -- while at the same time obstructing the flow of traffic in the city-state's streets and around the airport, one of the world's busiest. Hong Kong police responded by using pepper spray against travellers on the city's Mass Transit Railway (MTR), beating them with batons regardless of whether or not they were involved in the pro-democracy demonstrations.

Radio Free Asia reported that police began beating individuals indiscriminately at the Prince Edward MTR station, attacking them with pepper spray which they were sitting quietly on trains. RFA cited video which showed that "the police, who wore the black, armored uniforms of the 'raptor' special forces, appeared to be in pursuit of protesters, but instead attacked passengers indiscriminately, the footage showed. One was a small boy who was left with head injuries." Footage appeared to show individuals, including protesters, trying to stop police from beating innocent bystanders but largely failing to prevent the violence.

Just a few minutes ago, Reuters reported that Ms Lam, speaking in last week to a group of businesspeople, said she has caused "unforgivable havoc" by igniting the political crisis engulfing the city and would quit if she had a choice. But she doesn't. Under Hong Kong's current political set-up, the Chief Executive is chosen indirectly, by a group of electors (not unlike the American Electoral College!) chosen in elections rigged to favour pro-Beijing candidates.

At the closed-door meeting, Ms Lam told the group that she now has "very limited" room to resolve the crisis because the unrest has become a national security and sovereignty issue for China amid rising tensions with the United States. "If I have a choice," she said, speaking in English, "the first thing is to quit, having made a deep apology."

She suggested that Beijing had not yet reached a turning point, and had not imposed any deadline for ending the crisis ahead of China's National Day celebrations scheduled for October 1. And, she said, China had "absolutely no plan" to deploy People's Liberation Army troops on Hong Kong streets. World leaders have been closely watching whether China will send in the military to quell the protests, as it did a generation ago in the bloody Tiananmen Square crackdown in Beijing.

Ms Lam noted, however, that she had few options once an issue had been elevated "to the national level" -- meaning the Communist Party Pollitburo in Beijing -- "to a sort of sovereignty and security level, let alone in the midst of this sort of unprecedented tension between the two big economies in the world."

Walt, spent the better (?) party of two years in Hong Kong and its twin across the bay, Shenzhen, is watching too, and is in complete sympathy with the protesters. Will our leaders, who preach democracy and freedom (except of course in their own countries) do anything to help the people of Hong Kong in their struggle to avoid total domination by the Chinese Communists? I'm sad to say I think the chances are slim and none. But stay tuned.

Rightist AfD makes hyuge gains in German elections

"Things can't go much better than this," said Joerg Meuthen, co-leader of Alternativ für Deutschland (AfD), pronouncing himself "highly satisfied" with the results of elections in the state of Saxony, in eastern Germany, this weekend.

With counting nearly complete, the right-wing party was on track to win 28% of the vote, its best performance in any state election to date. Five years ago the AfD polled just under 10% of the vote. Angela Merkel's ruling centre-right Christian Democratic Union got 33% of the vote, down from 39% five years ago.

In neighbouring Brandenburg, Alternativ für Deutschland won 23.5%, almost doubling its vote share (12.2%) in the 2014 state election. The Social Democrats, partners of Frau Merkel's Christian Democrats, pipped AfD at the post, winning 26.2% of the vote, down from 31.9% five years ago. Like the CDU's showing in Saxony, that was the worst result for the centre-left party since the reunification of Germany 29 years ago.

Although the CDU-SDU coalition has clung to power in both states of the former East Germany, the strong showing by the AfD evidences growing dissatisfaction with Angela Merkel's government, which the German people hold responsible for the inundation of the Fatherland with millions of unassimilable Muslim "refugees" and asylum-seekers, all part of the Great Replacement orchestrated by (((George Soros))) and his useful fool, Pope Francis.

Although the AfD did not win the state elections, its chief whip in the Bundestag -- the German federal parliament -- Bernd Baumann, said its strong showing "pushes the issues forward that really interest people out there. I am glad that more and more people in the country say, 'We will take our country back from the left-wing, green mainstream, from the old parties to certain media."
