VIDEO: Howard Lutnick throws a stone truth at the Davos gang

President Trump's speech at the World Economic Forum -- Klaus Schwab's talking shop at Davos -- got a lot of attention. So did Canuck Prime Minister Mark Carney's frank admission that the liberal powers that be were going to create a New World Order. (Yeah, he really did say the quiet part out loud.) 

But one speech went largely unnoticed. It was made by Howard Lutnick, the US Secretary of Commerce. In just about two minutes flat, he spoke the truth to power. Thanks and a tip o' the toque to Agent 6 for sending us this.

Howie got it right! The globalism of George Soros, Klaus Schwab (and, yes, the former Canadian PM who is now the armpiece of Katy Perry) is dead... and President Donald J. Trump is the guy wot killed it!

But, but, but... what about what Marx Carnage said? Mr Lutnick today called his speech "political noise," and criticized Canada's recent deal with China. "Give me a break," Mr Lutnick said on Bloomberg TV. "They have the second best deal in the world and all I got to do is listen to this guy whine and complain." 

The US Commerce Secretary warned that Ottawa's recent deal with China could upend CUSMA/USMCA negotiations, which have already started ahead of the mandatory review this year. That deal will see China lower agricultural tariffs in exchange for Canada opening some market access for Chinese electric vehicles. Mr Lutnick said Canada is "playing with a set of rules that they haven't really thought through."

Going electric requires electricity. Who knew?

The headline is that of an article by Lionel Shriver, which appeared today in The Spectator. The cartoon, however, appeared on one of Walt's favourite blogs, Blazing Cat Fur, who we thank for the lead.

The lede quotes the leftist rag which is the New York Times: "'Something unusual is happening in America. Demand for electricity, which has stayed largely flat for two decades, has begun to surge.' Personally, I’d have headlined that article 'Well, duh!"

Walt's choice for the subhead would be, "Imagine that!" You can click on the link to read the article for yourself. It's amazing to me that none of the geniuses who made up the greenscam ever asked (or thought the public would ask), "But where is the electricity going to come from?" Amazing.

VIDEO: Is wind power really the way to a clean, green future?

The "progressives", including the recently arrested Saint Greta Thunberg, keep telling us that to rid the world of all the pollution caused by oil and gas, and save the world from burning up, we must convert to "green power", aka renewable resources, NOW.

Solar power and wind power are just what we need (they keep saying) because they're clean, efficient, non-polluting, and above all safe. Is eco-wienie putting up a forest of wind turbines in your back 40? What could possibly go wrong? Check out this video taken recently in Adair County, Iowa.

   

The video, from Des Moines TV station KCCI, shows smoke billowing from the wind turbine, and a giant blade crashing to the ground in flames. Emergency crews could only watch as they didn't have ladders tall enough to reach the top of the turbine. 

Authorities said they were investigating the cause of the fire. I'm waiting for Hellery Clinton to blame those deplorable MAGA terrorists.

Footnote: That black stuff dripping down the pole looks to me like molten plastic. Plastic?! Are the blades and other fittings made of PLASTIC?! Don't the greenies know that plastic is made of, errr, oil?
