Everyone knows that Canada Dry is the No. 1 brand of ginger ale in the US of A, and has been so since the daze of Prohibition because that's what you mix with Crown Royal or Canadian Club. [That's if you're an American with no taste. Canucks drink it neat or on the rocks. Ed.] And so it will always be.
What everyone, including the creator of this meme, do not know is there are already brands of ginger ale called "America Dry" and "American Dry".
America Dry has been around since at least the 1950s. Walt remembers its bottle cap -- silver with three blue stars and "America Dry" in red in the same font as that on the can. American ginger ale was but a pale imitation of the real thing...like American beer.
